Ammen is genuinely a family oriented business and they care about their clients. Other than the lengthy time it took for the death certificate which was out of their control, they handled my time of need with sincere empathy. The after care of positive thoughtful grief text messages was truly a surprise and I thank them for caring for us as a family.

All the employees I spoke with were very patient, compassionate, and professional. They guided me and my family carefully and completely through the entire cremation process. Even though we purchased the basic package, we were treated with the utmost respect and care. Nathan and all those we spoke with made a very, very difficult situation go so smoothly se we could focus on our grieving and mourning.

Everyone was very sympathetic and genuinely caring. The holidays slowed the process down but we were always kept up to date.

Lack of communication, had to have paperwork submitted three times because Ammen put the wrong date of death twice and didn’t apologize until the second time.

This place is the best. They bend over backwards to accommodate the family. Heather was awesome and would recommend them to anyone.

This facility carefully guided me through one of the hardest times in my life. They are kind and caring. Genuinely considerate of the loved one who passed and their family. My husband died on the November 20, They told me they would call with the increase in cost once the obituary was sent to the paper, they did. No mention to make payment at that time. They said because of the holiday it would take a bit longer for the cremation. My plan was to pick up my husbands ashes and the death certificate at the same time. Also at that time I expected to make make the payment. Well today December 3, I got a call, the cremation hasnt even started because they FORGOT to call me for payment. They waited 13 days to call for payment., mean while letting me think Frank was being taken care of, all the while hie was wasnt. Poor customer service.They did call back after this posting, apologized, and had Frank ready for pick up that afternoon. They did good service recovery.

I recently watched a YouTube video that went undercover to some of the shady practices of funeral homes in Canada. That prompted me to write this review because I didn’t have to worry about anything like that when my dad passed away. The entire process was seamless and I didn’t feel pressured at all. The staff was extremely professional and it was clear they were there to help me through the process. 4 years later, thank you once again!

The staff is amazing!! They all made this extremely hard time in my life less stressful.

Being able to pick from the items I needed to make my moms funeral a celebration of life I was very calm and appreciative of the surroundings being quiet and comfortable. The ladies and men that I worked with during this time were extremely helpful and did not add stress to the already stressful situation. They spoke politely and in soft voices. They were dressed appropriately. This funeral home was very professional and I plan on having my other relatives that I care for be there as well. Thank you to management and staff for all your help and advice.

Care and professional support

This is not a review of Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral homes customer service but one of how employees and prospective employees are led on and tossed to the side. I applied for a position with this company, interviewed for said position and was later called and told the position was mine and to call the next day to do my payroll paperwork. So I bid farewell to my current employer and scheduled my appointment to do the final paperwork. Up until this point everything was great I was about to start a new job and start a rewarding and profitable career. I arrived early and was seated in an office to do my paperwork. Employment history, drug test waivers and a very in-depth zero discrimination policy notice. All well and good well the next paper stated that I swear that I am a non smoker and will continue to be a non smoker not exactly but in a nutshell. This fact was never disclosed in the add, assessment or interview. I am an open and honest employee and told the nice lady that i used tobacco outside of work. Who promptly gets up and leaves the office. She returns moments later and states we cannot move forward with your employment takes the paperwork returns my copy of my identification and ushers me out. I like many people am of mixed heritage. And tobacco is a large social and ceremonial part of both of my ancestoral history. And I honor that history. So how can I be made to sign a waiver of the companies wide and encompassing discrimination policies and then be discriminated against for a completely legal substance that does not effect my work nor keep me from working that my ancestors have used for tens of thousands of years?! While never being told of this policy when interviewed by the owner and manager either? So not only have I left a job that did not discriminate against its employees. I have been hung out to dry by Ammen Family Cremation with no way to provide for my family.

I wouldn’t recommend this place for my pets, let alone a Loved One.Day I picked up my Moms remains from cremation the girl at the desk says to my wife, “have a nice day”Later I discover they provided the wrong address for my Mom so ALL the death certificates are WORTHLESS and will take several weeks to have them changed. Their excuse,, we are human we make mistakes !!!! Certainly anyone in that business should NOT be making mistakes. My advice, chose someone else !
