Worked with panther last 5 months with a larger fleet owner in a tractor solo and was as busy as I could possibly want to be. Pay is fair and the fleet owner was able to finance a lease for me so today I picked up my truck and am looking forward to the opportunities panther has given me! I see a ton of comments that don’t directly apply to panther and instead apply to the fleet owners so take those with a grain of salt! Panther has kept me busy every day and communications has been awesome! If you don’t get them on the phone right away, I simply text and send a QC message. They get back to me fairly quickly! I work very well with dispatch and find them better than other companies that I work with!If you are finding the staff difficult to work with, and always having issues with pay seriously evaluate your attitude and work ethic and if that’s not the issue consider changing the fleet owner you work for! I know that for me, the freedom panther and my fleet owner has offered me has been life changing for the better! I also credit both of them for making my dreams come true!Thank you panther and I look forward to continuing our relationship!

If youre a trucker, you know trucking can be a very unpredictable line of work. Though Panther isnt perfect, its definitely a place where drivers can predict their own success in the trucking industry. I am more than happy working with Panther over the last 4 years. They definitely go above and beyond to keep drivers happy. If youre willing to be a safe and responsible driver, Panther will be more than willing to compensate you for your professionalism. Of my almost 9 years of driving OTR, I have yet to come across a company worth leaving Panther for.

There are goof on Canadian border crossing there steal owners money which come out check fast pass. There have you go through a nother broker there do not have a broker or use broker that up to shipper who most and entitled Karen who care less about you getting the freight across. DHL/danza has broker fed-ex has a broker. It will take a day at Canada bother for ever crossing, there will wave all set detechtion pay. So many days you work $20 dollars. There almost allies give bad address for pickup and dont pay any thing when address is wrong. Which one was a sink hole and my whole truck fell in quick sand.

Every owner has there own separate contracts for independent contractors at Panther. If your with a company at Panther and there making you pay for fuel or tolls; Why not join a different owners company that doesnt make the contractors pay for those. I would never expect my drivers to ever pay for fuel or tolls. I wouldnt mind covering the physical and drug test fee either. Come join Wise Logistics LLC.

I worked for as a contract 1099 O.T. R. driver for a little while back in 2012. So not for Panther but for an owner operator but hauling theyre expedited freight. Our first run was great! Plenty of miles. Then it seemed like we sat too long. I guess that I should have listened to theyre advice better on how to play the game with expedited. We did get stuck with a load that was shady down in Brownsville, Texas. I was disappointed that dispatch didnt listen to my thoughts of suspicion with the load. After God delivered me from a very close call I decided that I would have to leave.

I was shocked when they deducted $150.00 from my settlement. $75 for drug test and $75 for medical exam. I already had a valid medical exam but they made me get a new one. I had to drive a six hour round trip for the drug test and medical exam. They failed to mention these fees. It probably wouldnt have hurt as much if me and my team driver were getting the miles we needed to survive as a team. Too much sitting around.

This company dont take care of there diver

Occasionally received contract work from them. Very sloppy with information often giving me wrong or incomplete addresses. On one occasion the weight for a shipment was off by roughly 500lbs putting it well above the weight my vehicle is rated for.

Lots of trucks with not enough freight. The staff though is polite and can be helpful. Expect to be on hold 10-120 minutes trying to get ahold of anyone on the phone.*edit*All of the above is true still, but Panther will also step up and help you if you are in need, people there are generally nice. I had to get a different truck because of bad mechanical problems that were in affordable and Panther put up 80% of my down payment with no strings attached. I will be forever grateful, even if I decided to move on I’ll still recommend Panther. Just keep in mind it’s expedite. Crazy load schedules.

Driver # 65248 brown truck speeding like hell on i70 not using turn signals cutting people off. I called their safety and michael said they are owner opetator and to call police.

Love everything about panther premium, clean grounds and friendly people all the way around especially office and dispatchers. Alot of parking as well and 24 hours.

There are certainly worse companies out there to run for but there are also most certainly better. Honesty and integrity rank very high with me when I lease on to a company, two things I found seriously lacking here. Keep your expectations low and you should be fine. Nobody will ever care about the success of your business like you do, that includes these guys. Good luck

The instructor was very kind and very informative. The also feed us lunch both days and were very open to everyones questions. They also gave us treats both days too. It was just a little chilly in the classroom but we also got to have coffee and tea plus leave when necessary to use the restroom. Adam was SUPER informative and shared his knowledge with us all.

Bad company to work for they will place you with the worse trucking companies that will steal your money, and they dont screen there drivers right these fools they place you with dont know how to drive at all or how to read signs, they will reck the truck, or kill you, these peoples place me with to unskilled drivers who almost killed me put me in the hospital for two days Im so thankful Im alive to tell my story of how horrible this company is and there racist to black folks as well but with there unprofessional drivers who dont have any skills what so ever, this company is just money hungry. And these fools will try to get you to sign paperwork stating if your partner gets into a accident you cant sue the company.. Wow.. You just been warned.

Warning!!! Do not work for this company they will rob you blind. Stay away. They hide behind the banner of contractors so they dont have to pay you. Anything they say is a lie. Please stay away. Dont promote this kind of behavior. Hard working people spend time on the road to deliver the cargo and at the end they dont get paid for the work they put in. This company permits this behavior. Dont support this behavior, respect professional driver for the hard work they do.

Panther Premium Logistics has too many drivers and not enough work.  They will lure you in with promises of steady loads and not deliver on those promises.  My final two weeks as a contract driver for them, I was finishing half my loads a day early and the other half were getting completed hours early.  I was basically completing my loads in the quickest amount of time possible with zero breaks other than DOT mandated ones.  Did completing my loads early to get back on the load board as quick as possible help get more loads?  ABSOLUTELY NOT.  If only that was the  entirety of the problem working for this logistics firm.Panther sets you up with a fleet owner when you come in as a contract driver.  I was set up with Prime Logistics.  If you read this and dont heed my warning above, definitely take the following warning into consideration.  If they try to set you up with Prime Logistics, REFUSE.  Ask for a different fleet owner.  This company, or at least the people I dealt with in Prime, is rife with people that do NOT communicate, people that lie to your face, and people that cheat you out of your money.It all began with a clear pay error in which my co-driver was included on a load I completed solo as my co-driver was away on home time.  Once I realized this looking at my statement the day it was emailed to me, I called and texted my fleet owner Chris K. asking for a call or text back.  This was 2 days following another call I made to him about an unrelated issue.  All these attempts to communicate were simply ignored.  So I then reached out to Bryan F. who acts as Primes driver recruiter and seemed to have acted as the go-to if Chris wasnt around to handle things with his employees.  Bryan informed me he would have Chris contact me the next day about my pay discrepancy and informed me Chris was the person that must handle those issues.  Two days go by and still receive no word from Chris, and now Im sitting with half a pay check.At this point, Ive had enough and contact my Panther Logistics recruiter requesting a formal  ownership change and explain why.  She asks if she can reach out to Bryan at Prime on my behalf to help with the situation and I agree to this.  Bryan F. calls me a few minutes later apologizing for the situation explaining Chris was out sick and not taking calls.  This was lie number 1 as I found out that my co-driver was able to reach Chris by phone the same day I was trying to reach out to him.  Bryan then stated he could step in and rectify this; a complete 180 turn from his statement to me that Chris had to deal with the pay issue.  He also told me that he thought my fleet owner was someone else which was lie number 3 as both he and I only referred to my fleet owner as Chris K. only 2 days prior in our text messages about the situation.  At this time, I also brought up how Chris was ignoring my request to get a 2020 IFTA sticker sent to one of us so we could get it on the truck.  Bryan informed me that Chris handled the next day mail and sent me a picture of the IFTA sticker and paperwork.  This just goes to show the ignorance of this firm.  If anyone from Prime Logistics happens upon this review, I have a free tip for you.  To mail something as simple as an IFTA sticker, put it in an envelope, put your return address in the upper left corner,  put the intended recipients address in the center of envelope, and put a single stamp in the upper right corner and add it to your outgoing mail or drop it off at a post office or mail box.To close this rant up, my pay discrepancy was never handled as it was concluded that I could recover my money from my co-driver which is unprofessional at best, and at the time of writing this review, I have yet to recover from my co-driver.  Panther Premium doesnt have enough work for its current driving staff and should NOT be hiring at the moment.  And at all cost, STAY AWAY from the den of liars that is Prime Logistics.

Hey there Rashid Ousley - if you were entering the highway, you do NOT have the right of way. Thats why there are YIELD signs on the entrance ramps. Please get off the roads until you understand that. When you are entering a highway, merging with existing traffic, its YOU that must yield.

I did not use this company but I was in a vehicle and one of their drivers was driving absolutely reckless, he wouldn’t not let my vehicle I was riding in merge when we had the right away and he did not care if the truck was right on someone tail!! Also he just kept blocking us from getting over by speeding up and swerving to the right to avoid us from entering the highway! WHEN WE OBVIOUSLY HAD THE RIGHT OF WAY!!!

Very unorganized and dysfunctional you will spend more time doing empty moves then loads they will also give you loads going west that are really supposed to be for team drivers it takes a solo driver almost a whole week to get in a better area once you have completed your drop off my best advice to any driver that’s coming on to Panther in a straight truck do not drive solo because you will struggle so much and will not make enough to cover your expenses at home/ take care of your family and if you go under prime logistics inc fleet Please don’t get yourself put into a lease purchase with them Because Panther will not run you good enough to cover your expenses with your truck payment / personal Expenses and I also been working with them for 3 years getting the same $1.25 rate Per mile and have never gotten a pay increase they do not pay by percentage

Panther is the worst!!! I have seen drivers get put with fleet owners and work and not get paid and when they call panther, panther says its between you and fleet owners and I feel like thats sad because the driver should get paid first. My saying is you take care of the driver, the driver will take care of you. Dispatch have favorites and will put you out of service or make up stuff as to why you didnt get a load. They give their buddies first outs. They want you to go out of your way like two hundred or more miles without out giving a bonus or more money for fuel you are using. Its modern day slavery.

Do not work this company they will rob you the load doesn’t not pay much when u get done paying for gas u dont have any money to eat and if the owner doesn’t not pay you they will not do anything about this is robbery they don’t send loads u will be 1000 miles away from sitting for days not making anything very unprofessional

Ive been with panther for nearly a year dry van and now life science. It is a great company but does take patience, extremely friendly staff will the help you any way they can as long as you do your job well. Team is the best suite for this company. My Co driver and I bring I. 1-2k per week minimum. It has ups and downs but that is all companies.

Panther is Double Broker Company, That dont want you to do the double brokerage but seems dont have a problem doing themselves. BROKERS BEWARE WORKING WITH PANTHER. Sun of the B... s giving the load and canceling any time as they pleased no matter where is the driver. If driver cancel the load PANTHER will rip him off But If PANTHER cancel, IT IS OK.PANTHER BRAKING RULES THE WAY THEY WANT and NOBODY DO ANYTHING. Thats Bullshit.

Open 24 hrs picked up t trailer in the middle of the night

Panther does not have the miles to keep teams busy. You will sit for days some weeks. The Rewards program takes four to six months to pay drivers the rewards they earned at end of 6 month contest. They are ruthless in that they fired our fleet owner demanding all teams scattered throughout the USA to bring their trailers back and then called the fleet owners drivers trying to try recruit them to stay with Panther and run for other owners. This was discussed amongst the 60 drivers affected by Panther giving our owner no notice or reason for them canceling the contract at a moments notice, as unethical for Panther to call the drivers to try to get them to migrate to a new Panther owner.

Heres what Ive learned in 1 1/2 years with expedite. There are good owners out there but most of them are the big fleet owners. They want you to team due to truck payments. If you go with an owner as a solo, get pictures of the truck! The company wont tell you if their a bad owner because their making the company money, period! Have a credit card or pay for everything yourself! If an owner is too willing to pay for your transportation to orientation, hotel and an advance to run until you get paid, beware! They arent doing it out of the goodness of their heart. They only want to have a hold on you, so youll have to drive their POS truck until you pay them back. Ive had one good owner at another company but most were bad. Cheat you out of pay, wont fix the truck, ect. Not sure how Panther is yet, havent been there long enough to say. Right now their 50/50, had a bad owner but was rescued by a good one i think. Figure a 3 for a review now, will update later. Keep your wits, go with your gut and be safe.

Panther is a great company to work for. They do not own there own trucks so you will be working for a fleet owner who leases his or her trucks to panther. The travel arrangements made for orientation is done by the fleet owner not panther. You will be considered an independent contractor and will more then like make a % of the load depending on yor owner. There are good contracts and bad ones but that is becouse of the owners of the truck not panther. Panther goes above and beyond for there contracts been working for them for years as a company driver for a fleet owner and i started working as an owner operator its been nothing but a greate exsperance.

This company is great @ screwing their drivers over. I hope they realize that without supporting their drivers or offering proper insurance for loads outside of panthers own list of brokers.

Worst company EVER!!!! They dont care about their drivers. My boyfriend got his truck taking away from him by the people his been driving for (for 3 weeks) and they left him in Tennessee with no way to get home and the people didnt care. They dont care about their employees and never paid him the money he is owed. Terrible company!!!

Just found out over the weekend from cindy in driver relations that panther doesnt pay tolls for empty miles only loaded miles but you still have to ask for tolls, Ive never heard of a company that doesnt pay for tolls, once they dispatch you on a load the empty miles to go get the load is all part of doing the load, you should never have to ask for tolls that should be a gimmie

Whereas general dispatchers can at times be trying, the Elite Services are extremely professional and a joy to work with. My husband and I have been driving team in a straight truck with Panther since 2006 and love them.

I guess its nicer than their previous hq. The building and location changed, but the people inside are still the same (lol).

Very unprofessional. Driver switches pickup times twice gives excuse getting truck serviced when he is supposed to be at pickup then 15 minutes before final pickup time dispatcher says hes not coming. Turned out driver took another load and plain did not want to drive because it was a long trip. And they already have my money. I asked if they would at least split my $1000.00 extra charges because my load was a no show. Still waiting on that and to see if they will get us a pickup. Stay tuned, but for now Panther is unreliable and unprofessional.

I was told routes cancel by customer within 3 hour notice get paid full load.like Amazon or other fare companies do.i get to pickup last night apt at8 arrived at6 and thry said its canceled and they will not paid for load and gave us 200 hundred dollars what a shame on this company that pays $1.52 mile and $32 cents dor gas . when they are many other companies that pay way moree im deff going with a diff company . this sucks . when they are supos to be an Expedite company and go even to borders. Come on dude i value my driving and work !! They dont pay enough !!! I kust found a co paying up to 16 a mile on short runs and 5 on long hauls ! Good luck for Panthers !!

When me and husband worked for panther we loved it. Were thinking of coming back.

Did the application. Got approved for a truck. After I sent in all my info via email attachments I tried to send my med card and long form in via the same email address and all of a sudden my recruiter doesnt know who I am and suddenly cant open attachments. Then claims she never got the emails. Well my delivery confirmation says she did.

They did not pay us for a load although we did a delivery. Not sure it worth to work for them. Looks like they can not pay.

ATTENTION ALL SOLO DRIVERS PLEASE READ BEFORE SIGNING UP WITH THIS COMPANY!!!! My fiance signed on to Panther in July 2012 and I went with him. The orientation had nothing to do with how youll be successful or even how to work the electronic logs, they only talked about what they do, how they are successful and other things strictly about their corporation. Once we got out on runs, we were sent to dead zones and then basically told to find our own loads out of those areas. Also the first week is free means the week you are in orientation not the first week out OTR. When we recieved an email about what we were to expect for our first check it said a negative amount! They charged the first check with every single payment we needed to make. If you are not a team, you will be thrown under the bus. If you try to bow out for any reason they will make it extremely difficult. Also the dispatch workers dont really know what they are doing, we were empty moving out of MS to PA to get out of a dead zone and they booked us a load going right back up to CT(not far from where we just drove from!) Beware solo drivers, beware!

I started as an owner operator in 2010, than got off the road due to family obligations in 2012 and worked for Panther in driver/contractor relations. On 7/2015 I went back out on the road as an owner operator and Im glad I came back! Every company has its ups and downs, and in the trucking industry, especially expedited freight, you either get it or you dont. Its not cut out for everyone. What Ive learned being a driver and working inside for Panther is you dont bight the hand that feeds you. The more difficult you are, the more difficult it will be for you to run your business.

Panther make waiting long days for one load, which is not enough to pay car loan also, for short distance or below 300 miles, panther can’t give enough Bonus. Which is other company they pay more then 500.

Do not work for them. They limit your loads. Tell you there are no loads. If you take home time it takes three weeks to get a check again.they are a rip off.
