We were in a hurry to get our entire 2nd floors hardwood floors refinished, and Chris was prompt, punctual, and professional when squeezing us in on short notice, prior to us moving into the house.We needed two substantial patches to the old floors where the wood had failed, and the floors were damaged enough to need around 1/8 of sanding to take off all the scratches and gouges.When it came to the floor refinishing work, Martin was awesome! He had excellent attention to detail and really put in maximum effort to make sure the floors came out great. I was super impressed to come by the house one day and find Martin on all fours, sanding out tiny imperfections in the second polyurethane coat, trying to get the finish to come out perfect. We couldnt have asked for anything more. We would definitely hire again (although Martin was so thorough we have no more wood floors to refinish at the moment).

We used Duffy Floors for a traditional hardwood floor installation, in our home. The crew was exceptionally careful in moving our belongings. They finished the project on time and the floor looked so good that we decided to refinish our sun room floor while they were there. They used a dustless hardwood refinishing system, that was extremely clean to start with, and then they did an outstanding clean up job. We found Duffy floors via a YouTube video that Chris posted about bleaching cherry floors. We have Brazilian cherry hardwood floors that were a dark, reddish tint. They were a real pain to keep clean and made the house feel too dark.Duffy came in on time and did the job in a professional, clean, and timely manner. The bleaching/pickling process really did the trick and lightened up the floors. Unfortunately, the poly was very soft and did not cure properly. Chris said that it was a reaction to the bleach in addition to the humid air conditions that caused the problem, so they came back to the house and recoated the floors with a different, harder, high traffic poly on a dry day. It looks and feels amazing. With the refinished floors and a new coat of paint on the walls, we feel like we have a new house; lighter and more open.Problems and bumps in the road often seem inevitable with projects like this, but Duffy floors and Chris Potts took care of the problem and made things right. The floors look beautiful and we are extremely happy with the service they provided.

I started shopping around to have a small area of floors refinished. Duffy floors was my first call and then I shopped around for other quotes. The other guys were affordable, but lacked responses, couldnt commit to a date and time. I called Chris back and he was able to fit me in next day and completed my project on time so I could list the property for sale immediately. We recently had our twenty-five year old pine and oak floor refinished by Frank H. Duffy, Inc. Our wide plank walnut stained pine floors in the entry showed significant markings where our puppy had dug his claws deep into the soft pine flooring and the natural oak floor in the den was discolored by puppy urine in one small spot left unchecked under a rug. Our floors were a serious challenge. One light floor, one dark floor; one stained one natural; one needed replacement flooring, one needing sanding and filling; both floors in the entry and in the den had to match the stained wooded staircases that led to the upper floors.
