Unfriendly customer service, the professional level is questionable, not willing to in answering the enquires. If any one looking to rent here, do reconsider. If they are so unfriendly even before you moved in, how will they response to you if you need to get some maintenance issue fixed.

Living at Mill Trace apartments has been an awesome experience for 3 years now. Theyre always making improvements and renovations, right now theyre replacing all of the vinyl siding on the apartment buildings and balconies, theyve worked on the parking lots to make the roads smoother and even added cute seasonal flags to the streetlights. Any time we have made maintenance requests, they were fulfilled in a timely manner and the ladies in the office are very nice, friendly, and professional. Highly recommend!

When I was initially apartment hunting two years ago, in Mechanicsville, I chose Mill Trace because of the extra amenities offered here, in comparison to other apartments of comparable pricing. I often enjoy the pool, as well as the walking trail around the lake. Its convenient having a fitness center on the property, too. I have been here for over two years and have been very pleased with the continuous updates to the grounds and the buildings. Just this summer alone, they have added banners and a brand new playground. The newly renovated apartments are beautiful. I highly recommend Mill Trace!

I have lived in Mill Trace Village for almost two years now and it has been amazing! The apartments are beautiful and perfectly located. I love the pond with the walking path around it.The management is super friendly and helpful. I always feel like home when I walk in the office. Maintenance is quick to answer service calls and fix any and every problem they can. Best place I have lived!!

I lived at Mill Trace for just over 2 years. I had a great experience working with the staff. They were prompt with addressing each of my concerns and quick to handle even the smallest work order request. I would highly recommend living here to anyone looking to move to the RVA area!

I really enjoyed living at Mill Trace and cant say enough about how nice it was living there. The ladies at the office are by far the best management team that Ive ever dealt with at any complex. They were always friendly and made living at Mill Trace very stress free. The maintenance team is also friendly and were quick to solve any issue that I may have had.The apartment (one bedroom) - It included a range, refrigerator, dishwasher, and washer/dryer! Theres two spacious closets in the bedroom, one closet in the bathroom, one as you come in the front door, and a large walk in pantry in the kitchen. You also have a storage closet outside of the apartment that can hold a lot of stuff if you need it! My unit was very clean when I moved in and I was very happy with the appearance.If you are looking for a quiet place to live with a great staff then you should give Mill Trace a call! Youll be happy you did!

I lived here for 4 1/2 years and really enjoyed my time here. The office and maintenance staff were all very helpful, friendly, and they excel at their positions. The buildings are kept in good condition and the property is kept clean. Communication is good and amenities are maintained. I never had any issues with neighbors other than the occasional loud music. I had very few maintenance issues in the time I was there and those that I had were handled promptly. Ample parking at all times which is very nice. Lake Ellerson is beautiful and has fish in it. Rent is reasonable and so is pet rent. Its one of the best apartment complexes in Mechanicsville. I would definitely live here again!

Its hard to get any better regarding management, maintenance and facilities - really nice apartments for the money, well-kept, and the clubhouse, pool and fitness room are superb - lovely lake and walking trails and sidewalks, trash pickup, dog park, and most of the tenants are professionals or retirement age so the population here is very neighborly, respectful and kind to each other - no problems with crime, loud parties or activities that infringe on others. It is peaceful, pleasant and cant say enough about property management and their knowledge of each resident and their needs. Thank you for all of your help and kindness while I have lived here.

Mill Trace Village Apartments is highway recommended. It is my pleasure to share those reading reviews that I find comfort, security and care from management . They maintained pest control, maintenance of outside, porches at each unit and etc. If you have an emergency, services are fact and quick just like calling to office with expedited responses. They take care for tenants just like family.

I never ever do this but I wanted to go the extra mile to let everyone know about this place. Just like others I review all comments and try to trust that properties have caring and honest people! I recently visited this property and fell in love! Proceeded to put the deposit down. On mother’s day I found out some devastated news and I’m having to move. They completely understood and are refunding my deposit back. Nitza and staff are so sweet! Sent condolences! Thanks again Mill Trace for hiring caring people it means a lot at this hard time! Will definitely recommend! You will have no issues living here!

My fiancé and I lived at Mill Trace for a year before we bought our first house. We loved living there! The staff are super friendly, the maintenance guys are always willing to fix even the smallest of things! Plus they loved our dog, so that made it even better. :)

Wonderful office that welcomed us to our new home. Quiet neighborhood, dog friendly which is a huge plus for us also.

Two years in and we plan on renewing our lease for a third year. We love this community. The staff are nice and helpful. Maintenance is quick to respond and usually thorough in repairs.It IS an apartment and so there are the common apartment issues...the occasional discourteous neighbor or two. And there is alway the genius who tries to sneak in their banned trash items into the compactor on the weekend and winds up jamming the compactor for the whole complex. There is the occasional visitor or neighbor who decides every neighbor wants to hear their music. (Thankfully this one isn’t too often).But my main reason for dropping a star was that we moved to 3 bed from a 2 bed. It wasn’t ready on time. There is still painting that hasn’t been finished. Our requests for finishing touches seem to fall on deaf ears.It’s an irritant really...but still. My rent is paid, and it’s paid on time, reason suggests...Edit:Nov 2018Management saw my review and realized my apartment fixes fell through the cracks.They responded quickly and thoroughly to make us happy in our new home. Im very pleased.

My husband and our family were looking to relocate to Virginia around Christmas. Strapped for time we went looking for a place to live on the 9th of December 2017 as we only had three days to find a place before having to return to NC for our children to return to school and us to work. Most homes would take approx a week to let us know if we were approved and we had to let his job know right away where we would be relocating. We decided to do apt instead as you typically know day one maybe two if youre approved. Typically we pay the application fee see if approved and if so then deposit and all. Well we really liked the customer service and complex so we decided to stay here. Asst Manager requested application fee and $300 deposit which was refunded if not approved. She then advised she was going to a Christmas party that friday and would let us know no later than the next Tuesday if approved we left pleased we found a place. Well, Tuesday came along and she advised all looked good to her had to get to her manager for final approval would be approx another week. Stressed now worried if we would have a place or not my husband called another apt complex that was our next choice. He advised me he paid the app fee and within three hours we were approved had our lease and now a place to live with no more stress. All good right. Nope Mill Trace not only drug their feet caused us to stress unnecessarily but also kept our $300 depost. With no remorse or anything with it being right here at Christmas us moving and having two small children. ALL BEWARE!! I would hate this to happen to any one else..... weeks later still no response on reimbursement. Thieves period.
