Weve had an account for 5 years with Waste Management. Weve had autopay set up from day-one. My husband was stationed out of state and we were renting our home in PA, so we wanted to ensure the bills were paid regardless of our location or circumstances. Our payment methods and contact information were always kept up-to-date.- Weve had routine occasions where the trash was not picked up despite repeated calls to confirm our address and account information.- Their automated system still doesnt have our zip code listed as a serviced area, despite the fact that its been 5 years since we initiated the account.- **Recently, (which is the reason Im posting this information at this point), I received a call from collections because a payment declined on our account for $123.I gathered the collection agency information so I could follow up with them after I spoke to Waste Management, and I provided them with the payment confirmation number subsequent to processing our payment through Waste Management.I was told by Waste Management that calling a customer is considered a courtesy, and we dont do that, we forwarded an email. They sent the email to an inactive email account and I called them 2 years and updated our contact information. I receive my electronic bill to my current email account, so Im honestly not sure how or why the old email is on file still or being used.It takes more effort to process an order for collections, than it does to make a phone call to a customer to resolve a payment issue. We have autopay through a credit card and pay the credit card off monthly, to build credit and also to ensure our accountability and their convenience regarding payments. (Because my husband has been stationed out of state for the duration that weve owned the home in PA.)It shouldnt be courtesy to contact a customer directly, its just proper account management and accountability to your customers. Being sent to collections affects your credit of course, which is also unfortunate.Weve been loyal customers for 5 years, have tolerated some of the previous issues that have arisen, and do our best to ensure our bill is always paid in full and on time, and all of our payment and contact information is up-to-date on the account.When I contacted Waste Management to process the outstanding payment, I also canceled our account. The conflict was unnecessary and if Waste Management would have provided us with the same level of accountability that we provide for them, there would have been no issue.
I think there should be more options. And those options should be less cost.But I will say the billing people are very very friendly. And willing to work with the customers. Thank you
I give them a zero! For one month I tried to sign up to get a dumpster for different times I had called them because for different times I did not receive my dumpster on the fourth time she said I’ve never asked for a dumpster in my account was suspended January 29 I said how come I can’t be suspended when I never had an account. The reality is is they were trying to charge me for a service for a month and I never got my dumpster so I told her to erase that bill for me because I still not got a dumpster and if they could send one I’d appreciate it. But instead this is been in my account making it look like I was some type of nonpayment and never even gave me a dumpster and even though I tried to explain this to the lady on the phone I got absolutely nowhere she tried to make me feel bad and anybody I have to ask for times for a dumpster over a course of a month I don’t Care to give my service too. This is awful that you have to follow up on something for times and still not get results to get some nasty person
Just got a shut off notice today but my bill isnt due till end of march i still have almost a week. i also have a late fee!? I dont do my bills on the internet and ive stated this multiple times. I told them i need bills in my mail box and will send a check out. Now i dont get ANY bills but an email for a notice saying i cant contact them until its paid in full.
My landlord pays the bills. Im happy they charge for collection of things that shouldnt be thrown away. There recycling program seems ok, although Id like to see accountability. Making sure things are being recycled, not just collected, then thrown away, or burned, etc. Too bad there isnt a composting collection like they do in many other areas. Its there a better way to promote, collect, and store recyclables? Theyre a valuable resource that can be stored for years, to be used again, without the consequences of a, raw, product. Youd think it would be profitable to store recyclables, just like its profitable to store other resources . . . . .
Horrible service. Pay quarterly for the drivers to lie and say they cant get to address because of weather. 3 weeks now no pick up. Are road is clear . Charge me money but miss our service pick up 12 times per year. Spoke to 2 supervisors who guaranteed me pick up on week 3 of no shows. We live a half a mile from a state rd which is kept clear in winter weather . Was guaranteed rerouting of driver by the next day. Call them back today cause of another no show and driver stated he could not pick up due to weather ridiculous. No new snow roads are clear back road Im on salted and plowed. Could be Im the only house on the road who gets their service and drivers are lazy. They lie and management doesbt question them. But miss my bill by a day Im charged 50 dollars to resume service what about the 12 times a yr. U dont show up. How about credit !!!!!!!! So now week four of this incompetent company to wait and see if they will show. If I could do a lower rating I would have. Bye bye waste management.!!!!!!!! Thieves.... Ive never been so disgusted by a Co. At least they are in the correct business cause they are Garbage.!!!!!!!!!!
The recycling center in my area closed. When I called Waste Management to ask if they had recycling services they said they did but not for my area. I had to switch to another company in order to continue to recycle and when I called Waste Management to cancel my services, they said they would not be able to refund any of my money that I have already paid (I made a payment for 3 months of service in December so I was only 1/3 of the way through the billing cycle). After talking to a representative and 3 supervisors the company kept saying they could not do anything and would not refund the remainder of my money. So they stole my money for two months of a service they are no longer providing.
Claim to have a 99.9% pickup accuracy but haven’t picked up in 3 weeks. With emails and calls they say “we will dispatch a pickup” yet I still have a can full of garbage at the end of my drive. Most recent excuse? “Your address isn’t marked on your can”. Excuse me? It’s a waste management can, on your route, with YOUR numbers on the can, and we have been customers for 5 YEARS. Ridiculous.
The drivers and people who do the actual work are terrible. Our dumpster goes over a month without being emptied. We pay for a service and Waste Management does not come through on their end. Despicable. Customer service is helpful.
Don’t go with them! Never got container or pick-up and cancelled after 2 weeks. NOW, they have the NERVE to charge me $50.00 for set up fees and gas!!!! Liars and cheaters. Worst mistake of my life!!!!
