I walked in after the last fitting just to see if they could handle the alterations on my Mother of the Bride dress - length and shoulders to be fixed - in a week. Not only did Richie say he could do it, he brought me to the back and stayed late to measure me and mark up the changes. I picked the dress up ON TIME and was absolutely amazed that I wasnt charged more - especially for the rush job.Definitely recommend!!

He hemmed 2 pairs of leggings, excellent job. Will use him from now on. Hes very pleasant...JD

They lost my blouse!!

STAY AWAY! I took my dress in for alterations. It needed to be shortened and the slit needed to the made higher. For two things they charged me almost $100. I thought maybe the high price would reflect the craftsmanship but I was wrong. They didnt end up doing most of the work and still charged me. Do your best stay away. Also when I went in they attended to a client that got there after me, they were white. I am not. Im not sure if my interpretation of the situation was correct but I definitely noticed.

One thing I love about this place is the attention to detail. they make me feel that they care about my clothes and look. they treat me with quality service. the simple fact they have been is business for over 40 years is a plus in my book I highly recommend

We took our very first batch of shirts to this place and specifically ask that the shirts be dry-cleaned, NOT laundered. Not only did they launder them, the tore one. I asked that they be dry-cleaned, the ticket I got reflected that they be dry-cleaned, yet they took it upon themselves to decide that laundering the shirts was the way to go. And, did I mention, the tore one of the shirts? STAY AWAY.

I really thought long and hard before writing this review however i feel its a must. I dropped my dress off about a week prior to picking it up I tried it on and stated what needed to be done and when I needed it by I told them Thursday cuz ide be leaving for my brothers wedding Friday morning she said no Fridays better I hesitantly said ok are u sure she said yes. Fast forward to me picking up my dress I come in to pick up my dress Friday morning my ticket is even marked for Friday. I state my name and she goes back I can hear the scramble of them looking for my dress “ I was just working on it “ by one of the seamstresses, well the seamstress comes out with it in two pieces asking me how I wanted it. I was shocked that 1 my dress was still in two pieces and 2 she was asking me how I wanted my dress because we had already went over this when I came in and dropped it off last week. I asked why it wasn’t ready and the front end girl told me that they were working on it and it would be ready today ... I was leaving for my brothers wedding now. I explained this to her and she has the most disgusting attitude and the hardest eye roll you could manage and insisted that I was wrong for coming to pick up my dress on the day that we discussed which I told her I would need it I would be leaving to my brothers wedding and is also marked on the ticket to pick up that day if the ticket is marked that day it means I can pop in at ANY time that day. I told her to stop going back and forth with me that it’s inappropriate and to get someone I can speak to she went to the back and I can literally hear her Eyes rolling from the front of the building but not only that did I hear I can hear her explaining her version of what she wanted to tell that owner who Happens to be her father “ the girl at the front wants you to talk to her she’s right we are wrong her dress should be done I don’t know what she wants” we’ll let me tell you I want my dress to be done on time and correctly I want to come In and be greeted kindly because after your disgusting attitude your business plans to charge me 100$ for a dress alteration. After you were so disgustingly rude to me and I had to explain again what I wanted done to my dress and wait for it because it was not done on time yes I could have left and come back but I was told it would be done and I was leaving to go to a wedding from your store. It’s a shame I hope my advice is taken and you take her away from the front of your business someone with that horrible attitude can destroy your business one customer at a time. I watched her interaction with other customers while I was waiting for my dress to be completed. Cold unwelcoming basically give me your money and see u later. The owner of the store apologized for her and said he hopes to see me again but honestly you will never see me again your staff needs to be rearranged and after that You charge me 100$ and my dress was still in two parts when I walked in that’s just not ok, I know your going to say yes but the work is worth that much. Awesome then the work should have been done and completed before I walked into the store not done while I’m there after I was just so rudely greeted by this girl at the front I can guarantee you if I walked in at 1pm my dress would still have not been done part of the “work “ is the customer service and that i didn’t get any of until I called the owner out so I would have been embarrassed to charge 100$ also for people’s knowledge the responses from the owner seem like they are from this little girl as well very combative hardly an I’m sorry never takes ownership I wouldn’t be surprised if it is her responding because I’m told that she is the owners daughter. I highly suggest u put her in the back and spend some money on a new employee if you don’t want to do the front end on your own she’s toxic to your business. Take your things to another place they won’t have it done on time and if u think your going to run into a nice face at the front nope.

I have been trusting Fit & Fashion with my clothes since 2007 and had nothing short of an excellent experience every time I visit. I look at some of the reviews on here and taken back by the few narrow minded reviewers. for example Adriana V. clearly is pointing out racism or favoritism at a minimum. This is an immigrant owned business. The clerk is Colombian not white. (I am also Colombian).

Ive been going here for the past 4 years and he is an exceptional tailor. I get all my suits altered there and have never been more satisfied. His workmanship is stellar.

Worst tailer ever!! First off the dress wasnt ready on time, then I go back to pick it up and the dress didnt fit my on my girl. What is the point of taking measurements. This is all at an high price as well, where you would expect a better level of service for the premium paid. They couldnt care less also that they had an unsatisfied customer, not the desk help they were nice but the actual manager/boss. I work in the service industry and deal with customers everyday so it is sad to see when people just dont get the easy things in business. SAD! Go somewhere else, please do yourself a favor!!!

Very good cleaners and excellent for tailoring and alterations. The tailor is good at showing options for how the clothes can fit based on different types of alterations.

Terrible service, misplaced my dress, owner was not concerned that he lost it. Tried to act like he didnt alter the dress when I had the ticket that it was his shop. Bad customer service

My fiancée just lost her grandmother, and I needed to get a suit in a hurry as her final wishes were for me to serve as a paul bearer.I went to DXL in Paramus, bought a suit, but their tailor was not in the shop. However the manager Jim, recommended that I come here.Upon arrival, after explaining the situation to the lady behind the counter, she assured me that it was no problem to get the alterations done today. The tailor, put down the project he was working on, got my measurements, and promised that my new suit would be ready by 3pm.When I returned later in the afternoon to pick up the suit, it was ready, clean and pressed. When I tried it on at home, it fits great, and looks sharp.I dont live in the Maywood area, and I may not use their shop ever again. However, I am very satisfied with the quality and speed of their work, and Im grateful for their compassion in helping me in my familys time of need.For these reasons, I highly recommend this shop for your needs, and hope youll be served and satisfied just as well.
