I cant speak poorly enough of this company. We have been using them for about 5 years. At first, they would miss a lot of pick-ups.. but I was able to call the local office and speak to them directly. They would come late that day or the next day and right the wrong. That was fine. An annoyance.. but no big deal. But the last few years the missed pick-ups began to increase in an absurd manner. But now when I would call.. I get to talk to a call center nowhere near here. They tell me theyre going to send a ticket to the local office and theyll pick the trash up later that day or the next. It never happens. They NEVER come until MAYBE the next scheduled pick-up. Even though I call every single day. When I complain enough.. Im told that a local representative will be calling me that day. That also NEVER happens. Not one time. They dont have to deal with us directly so they dont care one bit. BUT.. our bill has increased over $50 since we first started using them. They dont mind charging more... even though they miss about 30% of the pick-ups (Honestly, probably more but Im trying to be fair). Also, people we know in Tennessee are charged about $80 less than us. They use the same company. Make that make sense. And then yesterday... they missed us yet again. Im told theyre experiencing a delay (shocking) and will be out later. Then Im told theyll be out the next day. And then.. this morning.. Im told they dont know WHEN theyll be out. But just keep the can by the road and place additional bags beside the can. Who in the world is able to do this and not have animals shred the bags and spread garbage all over the lawn? But they dont care. Theyll be here when theyll be here. Good luck to all of us drowning in garbage. The most unprofessional people I have EVER dealt with. As soon as I find ANY other option... I will be calling them to cancel my service. And what a glorious day that will be.
Absolute hands down the worst company I have ever dealt with! Horrible customer service, they like to play the short staffed card. I dont care that is not my problem. My garbage is falling out of my can now and no one wants to return phone calls. Maybe they should pay the people who are actually showing up for work more $$, maybe then they will care. Mayfield facility needs an AUDIT from corporate to find out why the Manager/Supervisor isnt doing their job.
Trash service was good at first but the last bill plus the most current have been $184! This is residential for two cans. Complete rip-off of a company.
I have been with Republic Services for 15 years or so until their fees and unreliability became unbearable. When I terminated services, I had a credit of 170 dollars which they promised to pay. I have called four times(each time waiting an incredible amount of time) to request my refund. Im still waiting after three months.
They dont deserve the one star I gave. VERY unreliable and VERY unprofessional!! Pay for trash pick up and they miss for weeks at a time with no warning, no nothing. Call and you talk to representatives in other areas that literally say they are sorry (bc they hear this all the time from our area), but cant help you. Local office is notified, but never get a call back (Mayfield, Ky)....but the bill always comes on time!! Worst trash pick up ever. Switched to Halls and they are amazing!!
They have missed so many trash pickups!!! This time i called to tell them they missed it AGAIN and they had put that no containers were at the curb! Even if we were late putting it out they have missed multiple times where I have forgiven their mistakes and here we are again!!!! Trying to find another trash service. Ill even pay more!!!
This is the worst trash pickup Ive ever had. They will not pickup the trash when they are supposed to. They will skip service every other week with no notice or excuse but yet the bill is the same. You can not contact anyone local and all they tell you is that they will put a ticket in to have your trash picked up. They will tell you they will put in a ticket for a supervisor to call you as well which will never happen. Our trash is scheduled for pickup on mondays and I cant remember the last time it was picked up on a monday. Our trash hasnt been picked up going on three weeks with no notification,no explanation and no supervisor contact. If I could give them 0 stars I would
I was until today a customer for 3 months. in that amount of time my pickup was missed 10 times. This last month (Feb 2021) i went 3 weeks without a pickup. Any customer service number you call is just a call center without any actual knowledge of the local branches or why they are so terrible with reliable pickup. this place is an absolute joke and you would be better off running your trash one bag at a time to the local transfer station than letting this company attempt to.
Currently searching for new service at this time they have missed 6 trash pickups for me since the beginning of October first three were in October and first of dec. and now they have missed 3 in a row so I have a mound of trash waiting for pickup. Have called and get empty promises and apologies. They just keep saying sorry we are delayed but once is understandable but time and time again is unacceptable. One of the pickups to me is excusable due to snow and weather but they continued to miss the next 2 after that when roads were clear. Ridiculous how bad they have gotten. Had the service for over three years now and just feel like there stealing from me at this point
I have been a customer for 20 years. I have not personally had any issue until January. I pay for an entire year in advance, so payment is never an issue. My biggest complaint is not having the ability to resolve issues locally. I feel if I had been able to speak with local customer service representatives, this issue could have easily been solved in January and would not have escalated to the cancellation of my account. In the month of February, my trash was collected 1 time on February 5th. I understand that nasty weather could not have been avoided in the two weeks that followed. I did my due diligence after weather had passed and roads were cleared. I called to see when my next pick up would be. I made certain everything was out and accessible. February 26th came and went with no service. Saturday, February 27th (1 day delay) came and went. All my neighbors trash had been collected. My trash was skipped over. I called that day to let them know they had missed it. I called again on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. My trash was not picked up until March 5th. I have called the service at least 13 times in the last 8 weeks, totaling 390 minutes or 6.5 hours on the phone. I was assured multiple times that my issues would be resolved today. I was assured 4 phone calls ago that a local supervisor would call me. A local supervisor did not contact me. Representatives kept telling me that I needed to leave my trash near the road because someone will be there today to pick it up. I am tired of looking at my trash and my trashcan. My neighbors are tired of looking at my trashcan. We have to deal with wild animals, coyotes, local dogs that run free. I was assured last week and the week before that my trash can would be picked up to discontinue my service. My trash can is still waiting in my yard to be picked up. I do not have the time, energy, or patience to wait for this issue to get resolved. I had 6 more months of prepaid trash service. I do not know when I will reimbursed for that. I cannot recommend this service until local issues can be resolved locally and promptly.
They hardly ever picked up my trash I have called and they said they would have someone pick it up but no body has picked it up in 2 weeks Ive paid for 6 months in advance and this is my service!
I have had this service for a long time but this last week they didnt pick up my trash. When I called they said I didnt pay my last bill. I checked with my bank and sure enough I had paid, I just hadnt paid the current bill yet. The lady took my money($68) and then told me to start my service again i would have to pay another $60. I said absolutely not. She said then my service would remain canceled. They came the next day and picked up my can! I will not be going back!

I really like the service. Pay online every three months. Sixty dollars. Great price!! The ladies in the office are kind and welcoming. The street I live on only two people have trash service myself and my neighbor. Everyone else uses the dumpsters in town. Wish the driver would slow down a bit. And stop throwing my trash can in the ditch. Being disabled it is hard to get it back out. But all in all a great company.

Came a day late, then watched the truck squeeze my trashcan until it caved in. Emptied none of my trash and messed my trash can up. I Immediately called and was promised a pickup the next day and nobody ever came. If only I could give no stars.

They take spells,long spells and just dont pick up my garbage.I call and they promise to do it the next day...right..if you want to choose a trash service that is completely unreliable..Choose Republic!!!!! I have currently been on hold for forty minutes with a full garbage can and no place to put garbage.Four days late........great service here..This is the fifth time this has happened.
Two times so far this year they have NOT picked up my trash. They missed the entire week - had to go two weeks between pickups. Tried to call the local number but ended up on hold for half an hour - cant reach anyone locally to get my trash picked up.
Poor customer service. Say one thing on website & it’s different when you call. Website says schedule pickup or if you miss pickup then schedule date to pick up your garbage. Would not let me do that when I called. Won’t pick up even broken down cardboard box beside trash can. Almost always come down my street late afternoon but of course on one day someone else put my trash out at 1 pm they came early. I have called them 3 or 4 times & they could not help me any of those times. I can’t put my trash cans out night before due to loose dog in neighborhood that gets in our trash. Yes I know that’s not their fault but rest is & I a totally disappointed and upset. Would not recommend this company.

Call today to attempt to recover my closed account (they did not notify me of the account being closed). I was hung up on 5 times, before I finally got my answer!The answer: No we cant help you. Give us more money.Okay, maybe not exactly that. However this is what I got out of the answer I was given.I paid for three months of service and this company only picked up my trash once. They charged me $132 for the one pick up and then had the audacity to ask for another $75 on top of that!Dont waste your time with this company. They do not care about you as a customer and will do anything to get more money from you.
If I could give them zero stars I would. Got the rudest person I have ever talked to in customer service--more like customer disservice. Wanted a quote on a haul away, followed prompts on phone and got an incredibly rude woman on the phone. I hung up on her. I only wish I could have slammed the phone in her ear i was so upset. I would NEVER recommend this company to anybody!
The CSR reps are very nice and have always tried to help me, but despite the constant phone calls Ive made they continue to put my dumpster in the middle of my driveway. Im concerned for my safety when I have to park in the middle of the road, leaving my car unattended, so I can move the dumpster and enter my driveway. Other than that recurring issue and the company not alerting me if theyll be picking my trash up on a day other than what was scheduled, theyve been a decent trash service.
This trash company is pitiful I recommend not getting their services! Now when I say service I mean they will not pick your trash up! Monday we are canceling our service with them. I put one star because it made me they need a negative star because they’re not even deserving of a one star!!! If you need to talk to the CEO ask for the driver because that Tant runs the company!
We put garbage out every monday before my husband goes to work at 5 am. Apparently the driver reported our garbage was not out there when he came at 2 pm. We waited all week for pick up and now its friday and we have no room to put garbage anywhere. They certainly took our payment out when they said. But the drivers word is gold so we are SOL. I am so glad we are moving out of this county. Worst garbage company we have ever dealt with. I imagine it will be fun getting my money back that we prepaid for the next 3 months. Zero stars from us.
45 minutes later and I still haven’t got a hold of customer service. Our first invoice was inflated with fees not discussed over the phone when creating the service, along with the fact that they have no one to answer the phones apparently means I’ll have to drive to Mayfield just to get a resolution.Awful company and would NOT recommend them for any residential neighborhood or anyone wishing to speak to them on the phone.

This company has the worst customer service of any company I have ever seen. In dealing with this company on a regular basis I have started to get ill every time I think I might have to deal with them. I shudder when I see one of their trucks drive by. I want to puke any time I have to talk to someone from this company. I will never promise my guys at job sites ANYTHING this company promises me because they almost NEVER deliver on their promises. They NEVER try to accommodate the customer. They ABSOLUTELY DO NOT care AT ALL if they set a job site back by days or even weeks with their inability to do what they say they will and almost NO ONE in this company knows what anyone else is doing. This company is NEVER my first choice and if at all possible I ALWAYS use another company.

I know of people paying 20dollars less than me, so I called and told them that I can not afford my bill as high as it was and could they lower it and a smart mouth male on the other end demaned to know what had change in my income and told no way was I getting it lowered,, they just go up and up on price but some people pay 20 dollars less than I do,, redicious
