Ive lived in the mayfield heights area for over a month now and have only gone a handful of days with stable internet for over 24hrs. I work from home and keep requesting technical help but as I write this Im staring at a red router for the 2nd time today. As for actual support it is hit or miss if youll recieve someone polite and seemingly helpful. Ive had both good and bad over the phone and those who have visited

Down $150 without realizing it. I went in to cancel my service and return my equipment since it is easier doing it at a store than shipping it back. To be honest, the service was quick and I was able to return my equipment. Except, when I asked, they said my paired internet service would also be canceled and I didnt have anything else I needed to do.Jump three months ahead, and I look at my credit cart statement and find out my service hasnt been canceled and I was still being charged. In addition, when I called in, they said there was no record of any cancelation notes entered into my account. Now I have to cancel the service myself over phone and hope that I can get my money back. If someone walks in to cancel their service, why isnt their service canceled? Next time, I would GLADLY do everything myself and avoid the store if it meant saving $150.

Went in to pick up my new equipment rather than waiting for them to mail it. Was there for about 15 minutes and went home with everything I would need to set it up. The two gentleman there were extremely helpful and nice. Couldnt have been any easier.

Went to the store yesterday and waited 45 minutes after checking in only to have 2 people with appointments come in and get in front of me on line. Then I was told that they might not get to me for another 1/2 hour. So without time to stay I left and made an appointment for today’. So I showed up at my appointment time to find that the sign in was not working and therefore we were being taken in orde. So today I waited another 45 minutes to exchange a completely non working devised. Very wasteful of my time and money!

Avoid this place if possible. Went in to return a router. Somehow without ever talking about it or agreeing streaming was added to my account. Hours after leaving Carl decides to send an email saying he added a free trial for streaming. Yet we were charged in full and even and installation charge(for installing what?). He said those charges shouldnt have happened yet. No Carl what shouldnt of happened was you adding a free trial that you have to opt out of onto my account that l neither agreed to nor even talked about.Oh also when l first went in he asked me if l was opting out of the router. l said yes. He didnt hear me so decided to say that was a question with attitude. Avoid Carl and this store if possible.

One of the workers, I believe her name is Sandy, was EXTREMELY rude to me. I was in the store for not even 30 seconds when she yelled across the room and very rudely told me I needed to check in at the kiosk. It was so rude that another worker felt they needed to apologize on her behalf. I will not be returning.

Avoid them for any services. Your bill will go up steadily every consecutive year for 4 years so they’re advertised prices are complete mis-representations. Terrible customer service and long wait times.

Im a 30-year employee of a competitor organization to Spectrum. I used to have my employers TV and Internet services, but 5 or so years ago after a change to my service benefits I switched to Spectrum. I can honestly say I have never regretted it. Spectrums Internet connection is the most stable of all the companies doing business in the Cleveland area; the copious On Demand titles are second to none; and the companys Technical Support crew is among the very finest in the industry. Their cell phone partnership with Verizon is a match made in heaven, and the Spectrum Mobile data plans are (pound for pound) the most cost effective around. Ive had reason to go into the Spectrum store several times over the last few years; First over at Severance Circle, and in the last year or so at the new Mayfield/Golden Gate location (which by the way is beautiful [CLEAN] and convenient as heck!!). Knowing what I know about technology, I try and make sure my equipment is up-to-date, and I on several occasions have gone in and used their very convenient and easy to understand and operate payment kiosk. Im a bit obsessive/compulsive (hey self-awareness is a blessing!!), and I ask a lot of questions. I mean A LOT of questions. In all of those instances (maybe 20-25 visits) I have never been treated rudely by any of the store associates, who by the way all seem to get along extremely well (take my word for it, when theres division among staff thats when the real problems begin). On top of that the manager (Sasha) is the best!! I had an issue that should have been an easy fix for customer service but it was Sasha who stepped in and with 1 phone call my problem was solved and an immediate credit was issued (thanks again Sasha!). On the other hand, every single time Ive gone into the store Ive witnessed some type of abhorrent customer behavior that runs the gamut from overly aggravated (passive aggressive) to downright abusive, vulgar and threatening. Ive worked in several sales and customer service related roles over the course of my career and I can tell you in no uncertain terms that the people who toil in these stores have a TOUGH job. It pains me that we live in an era where one not perfect interaction can turn into an over the top public shaming on the Internet. When did calling out people by name (and them having no recourse) become a thing? Id be angry if that happened to me. How about you? Think and/or say what you will, but interacting with people acting the fool (or WORSE) on a daily basis is not easy. And I speak from experience. I would simply say that if you have occasion to go into the Mayfield Spectrum or any store or business for that matter, try and act in a way that might make your parents proud. And dont be so quick to judge. We all have bad days and based on what Ive seen its the CUSTOMERS that need to change their ways always remembering that its very unlikely that the person standing in front of them trying to assist with whatever their issue did anything to cause their aggravation in the first place. Respect is a two-way street, if you give it its very likely youll get it in return. Lets try to be better people, huh?? And to those Spectrum Mayfield employees: keep your chins up, WE need you!! (and NO, I dont normally write reviews, what completely satisfied and happy person does that??)

Service is extremely slow Ive been staring at an available teller for 20mins and weve not been serviced or helped in any way. There is no one on the floor to help people pay their bills or answer questions about cellphone they have out. I waited over 30 mins just to drop of some equipment.

Our modem died and needed to be switched out. My kid had a telehealth dr appointment in less than an hour. The Golden Gate, Mayfield Heights, Ohio store was crowded, I was third in line and all 3 employees were helping customers. When it was my turn I told the male employee (I forgot his name, I was sort of in a panic) about my rush. I was in and out of the store in 20 minutes (mostly waiting in line, about 3 minutes with the employee). The fastest Ive ever been through a Spectrum store! My kid made her appointment on time. Very grateful for the service!

I totally agree with one of the previous reviewers: its the doggone customers that seem to be the problem!! I dont know if its the fact that people dont understand technology and therefore get belligerent the minute they dont get the answer theyre seeking; or maybe its that were dealing with a pandemic and anxiety is at an all time high, or perhaps some combination of both. I just know this: people are CRAZY!! I go to the Golden Gate location once a month to pay my bill. It usually takes about 5 minutes to complete the task. Yet it seems every time Im in the store I hear some kind of nuttiness. People being loud, rude and generally unruly, and in some cases literally yelling at the Customer Service/Sales Associates about some problem that they (the Associates) had nothing to do with in the first place. Man, I feel sorry for those folks. Think about it ... Im guessing theyre not making a ton of money - certainly not enough to take the kind of grief Ive witnessed them taking - all while dealing with it in really professional fashion I might add. Bottom line?? The facility is beautiful (CLEAN) - and the people who work there are all nice, helpful and professional. Nobody likes Cable and Internet bills. And yes its frustrating when the TV or Wifi goes out, but dont take it out on the employees who have nothing to do with setting (Spectrum) policy and procedures. FIVE STARS IN MY BOOK!!

Karl was extremely rude and unprofessional. He made me go get my handicapped 81 year old grandmother out of the car to cancel internet service. He then became very mean to me and my grandmother after I told her to step back so she didn’t get yelled at. This caused him to refuse to help and said he was done and for us to leave. He had told me to step back when I got in there and then again told me to step back even farther. There were no marks on the floor, I had my mask on, and then it was okay for me to come to the desk to sign the receipt. ALL THIS TIME KARL DID NOT HAVE HIS MASK ON! It was hanging under his mouth.I then had to come back to exchange another box (only Bc the other kind man that was working there told us, not Karl). When we walked back in, Karl ignored us while the other man, Evan was dealing with another customer. It’s so unfortunate that Spectrum has people like him working for them and in charge of dealing with people.Evan on the other hand was extremely helpful and very kind!
