I was pleasantly surprised with the Fort Dodge Aspen Dental office. The staff was very friendly. The oral surgeon I saw was very thorough in explaining my options and why his medical plan would be best in terms I could understand. Everyone there involved in my surgery did a wonderful job. I would highly recommend this office branch of Aspen Dental.

The staff at Aspen Dental, in Mason City, Ia., is absolutely phenomenal! They are all so welcoming and make me feel completely at ease. Professional and friendly every time they have to see me, making sure my needs are met as a client while also making me feel good as a human being. I feel they truly care about their patients.

Visited Aspen Dental for the first time today, and it was an extremely pleasant experience, considering knowing going in that I was going to need a crown.I got a kick out of the staff-as they were celebrating Christmas in July. It’s refreshing to see a group of people who seem to sincerely enjoy working together.I thought the whole procedure starting with x-rays and ending with the temporary crown was done very professionally. I dont know I was reading some of the negativity and I find that very upsetting but everybody has their choice. I found it very pleasant experience. They were gentle on the X-ray on my teeth. They were polite and considerate. If you think theyre bad you should have went to some that I have been to. Im new to Aspen Dental. But I had good vibes and I think Im going to like Aspen Dental. Nobodys Perfect but they did a darn good job. I would just like to say thank you Aspen Dental for allowing me to be a new patient.

Had a crown Fall out while RVing cross country. Stopped in Iowa and discover Aspen. They were great and provided a treatment plan and wrote a perscription as we were heading to Oregon. Made an appointment at Tigard office in Oregon and again they were very friendly and treated issue. I will be changing over to Aspen when I return to Florida to finish treatment plan.

On a scale of 0 to 10 I would rate Aspen dental as a four or a five. The reason being is the x-rays taken were awkward, bulky and painful. There was also no privacy as the x-rays room had no door so other people could look in on the patient.I also expected a cleaning and an exam on the first visit but instead I was approached to consider buying into the Invisalign deal and an electric toothbrush. On a positive note they were very thorough and they took my insurance so the visit cost very little.

Had great care from beginning to end! Thanks to Tracy, Kelly, Dani, Kerri, Dr Hammond and Pam! It didnt hurt a bit, thankfully cause I am a chicken when it comes to dental work. Hope all the rest of my visits are equally painless 😊😎👍

I had a very positive experience with my whole experience from the first visit with my awful tooth pain, that lead to tooth extraction and several other visits to get my dental care back on track. I put my ill-fitting dentures in each day and cry. They hurt, they gag me and they feel like a brick in my mouth. Aspen has made no effort to follow up In the past six months and I believe it is because I still owe $600 out of$3300. I would not recommend their services

Everybody is super nice and helpful! Receptionist(Tracy) impressed me before I even got there, “radiologist”(Alicia or Dani?) was friendly & efficient, lead dental hygienist(Kerri) was thorough and informative, dentist was easy to talk to & explained everything, office manager(Pam) was understanding & flexible and dental assistant(Hope) was easygoing and compassionate! Prices are amazing and Dr. Hammond is honest and caring! Everybody in Aspen Dental is smiling even under their masks, they listened to my concerns and addressed all my issues!I was ready to get two crowns because my previous dentist recommended it before switching but Dr. Hammond actually suggested we do fillings first explaining many different reasons why fillings were a better option to try first and if necessary we could switch to crowns later if fillings don’t handle my grinding well. I was ecstatic because fillings cost way less and more of my tooth will be preserved! I am so excited to move forward with our plan to improve the appearance and keep the integrity of my smile!

I cant stand dentist stuff. So of course I put one off for years, until pain left me no choice. Apprehensive but in need, I went to Aspen Dental in Mason City, Iowa. I admitted to my fear of dentistry but told them I need help. They really bent over backwards to make me feel comfortable. Not only was their empathy levels high (across all team members) but they also took the time to explain everything and practically hand-hold me through the process. When all was said and done, I was so happy with their work I nearly cried. For years, I hid my smile due to a visible cavity. As if by magic, my smile is back. Confidence up. A great stress removed. Especially meaningful during these times. Ill add thst the staff has worked out an efficient system that moves people through while still allowing for full social distancing and adherence to all the Covid Craziness protocols we must live with these days. I was satisfied with everything. If I have any criticism it would lie in the fact that they do not work with some insurances. I have two - but could only use one - so I did have to pay a few hundred out of pocket. Still, I had expected it to cost more than it did. And, they had no problem going over prices with me first and getting prior authorization from my insurer. All-in-all, I feel good about how Aspen Dental, Mason City - and their crew - treated me. Good people.

Took a while to get in, but while I was in the office everybody was very pleasant to deal with. Just did a consultation and x-rays, it was nice they gave me the prices up front so I can make arrangements to pay for services being done.

They dont accept my insurance. I went there hoping to have a bad tooth that has been fixed twice already be extracted. But, they refused and wanted to refill and put a crown on. Later, I find out a fill and crown is over $1,000 and an extraction is around $300. Robbers.

I was greeted and welcomed very professionally, every question I had was answered promptly and was treated as if I mattered. The best part was the exam and x-ray was free and I got all the information I needed to make a care plan. Thank you very much for your business!

I havent been to a dentist in awhile, I went here to have my recently broken tooth examined. I was nervous! When I got there the receptionist was very friendly! I was checked in quickly. Then I was brought back for my x-ray and taken to the room. The dentist looked at my teeth and let me know what issues he saw. Everyone is very friendly! The office manager helped me with payments and scheduling. She was very informative and helpful! I had a good visit.

Let me revise this. 5 months later my dentures do not fit, they have made no effort for follow-up care and have already billed my insurance over $3,000 dollars. This has been the worst experience I have ever had in the medical profession. At the very least they should have, by now, addressed this and found some solution. Even if its to say sorry, cant help you. Never again

I had a wonderful experience at the Mason City office. Everyone - the receptionist, the x-ray tech and hygienist, the dentist, absolutely everyone - was professional and friendly. When I told them that have a lot of dental anxiety issues, everyone went out of their way to to make me comfortable and explain every step of the process, and they checked frequently to see if I needed a break at any point. Im very satisfied!

I called my insurance company and they told me it covered everything after 50$ out of pocket. And I called here and they told me 5000$ for cleaning & after insurance I need to pay 2000$ for regular cleaning. Wow thank you 🙏

I went in yesterday and Im not going to lie i had not seen a dentist in over 10 years, i knew my teeth were bad so i already knew i needed extractions done but i went in got the news i needed and they helped me out a lot, they were the only ones who would even look at me teeth to begin with because of me not having dental insurance, but i got a referral from them to go to Iowa City and its exactly what i needed so 5 stars is what they DESERVE! thank you ladies and Dr. Hammond you were great! :)

Friendly, accepting of schedule changes and Covid worries, always able to reschedule the appointments. They are following guidelines with Covid too. Good place to go.

Needed to have a tooth pulled, but ended up getting a quote for an astronomical amount to have all teeth pulled and a new set of dentures. Just shy of $17,000 Dollars. Unreal, and left with the same bad tooth I came originally to get fixed. I ended up going to another reputable place, had all my teeth pulled, and their highest quality of dentures with a 7 year warranty for only $6500. Id say shop around, its obvious this is just about the number, not the patient.

It was great .....EVERYONE was so nice and very professional.....made me feel comfortable and made sure I understood everything. Next appointment is coming up and look forward to coming back not really to get my tooth pulled but because everyone is AWESOME

Dentist seems nice and knowledgeable, Ive only had an initial exam so far. I did feel like I was treated as if Id never had dental care before even after I had told them at several points in the process that I have a regular dentist elsewhere and just had a cleaning. Im only going to Aspen for work because they are an in network provider. If it wasnt such a degrading experience Id consider coming for more services.

First visit went better than expected! So far so good. I have work scheduled and Amanda was awesome to work with in order to get my procedures started. Friendless started the moment I sat down in the lobby and didnt end until I walked out the door! If I only knew this before I wouldnt have waited so long to make the first visit!

Best exam Ive ever had at a dentist and the first visit was free. Everyone was so nice and friendly.

The dentist, hygienist, and assistant were wonderful. When it came to discovering the cost, nothing was broken down so I could understand it, and I was told that I would have a substantial co-pay, even though my insurance should have covered everything. When I went to make an appointment to start the work, I was told that before I could even set up an appointment, I would have to give them 60% up front. Again, insurance. Its a giant con game. AVOID!

Came in a few days ago for a xrays. Turns out my previous dentist missed a bunch no surprise to me kinda expected it The people here are so friendly. Yesterday went in to get them removed and was walked through the procedure. The doctor was very friendly. I was in and out in less than a hour for three tooth extractions. They are also cheaper compared to other places. The only downside is they dont accept my insurance not many do

At first I was skeptical to try a new dentist. Immediately when we walked into Aspen Dental, we were greeted by warm smiles and genuine remarks. It did not stop there. We seemed to meet the entire staff, who were equally friendly and genuine! The dental staff were knowledgeable and extremely helpful! I explored Aspen Dental not knowing much about the place, as I wanted to get in before the New Year hit. I made an appointment online which was super easy to do. Dr. Hammond was very friendly and straight up. Kerri, Gina, and Tracy were the crew that assisted me with x-rays, hygiene, checking-in, etc. They were probably the most down to earth people I have ever met. I mean going to the dentist kind of sucks anyway, so to feel comfortable around the people who work there is the best case scenario. Val who deals with insurance and pricing, was trying her hardest to get me the best deal on crowns possible, and made several phone calls to ensure this. All this took place right in front of me, no closed doors, so I knew what was going on at all times. As a result, I wont go anywhere else for my dental needs. Good job Aspen!

Aspen dental was very good at the.exam. They showed me my xrays and the choices to my care (which I discovered everyone should see their xrays and ask questions). The only problem is cost which is prohibitive. I will return to Aspen Dental for my next cleaning.

Honestly I thought I was going in for a cleaning as well as a preventative check up. Had exrays and gums checked, than met with the coordinator and he gave one piece of paper with a price on. Which was pretty high.. I asked why do you give me the itemized statement so I can see the costs... after I got the sheet, they had $130 on for a electric toothbrush, $70 cancer screen, and over $100 for cleaning which my insurance covers 100%, after discussing the insurance the bill changed to 40% off, which I had 3 gravity’s and my insurance cover 80%, kinda funny how if nobody questions the bill I am sure people will just pay the bill.. they should automatically show an itemized quote for the work... I do see a lot of older folks that go there, and I am sure they don’t question a lot of it....

The finance process is very unethical. They add all kinds of upcharges and extras that insurance does not cover. If a customer wants an optional cancer screening then let them ask for it. Do not just put it on the bill when you go to “check out”. I wonder how many people don’t even ask questions and just pay it. Feels a lot more like a shady car dealership than a dental office. I would not recommend my worst enemy to go there.....well maybe them. Long story short pay for the out of pocket costs because the service will be better and you will still end up paying less. What a joke!

It was good but I didnt go there to have them tell me what Im going to do with my teeth. I only went to have a tooth taken out. I know whats wrong with them. The murses are really nice for me thats imporant since I have anxiety and panic attack.
