The owner of this franchise has arbitrarily decided that you can’t send certain things that normal UPS stores will. Don’t come here unless you want to be turned away and told to drive to Martinsburg.EDIT: The response to this comment is incredibly disingenuous. Need a notary... So did I after going to the UPS Store in Martinsburg twice. The most helpful notary service they provided was informing me where another notary service could be located. The cashier was nice and kind, but I have a feeling the owners are not so from the glaring looks I got when I informed them twice I had been there for notary services and twice denied. I guess Amazon must be paying out the wazoo for their return services because they dont seem to care about much else. Definitely would NOT recommend.

This UPS Store is the most inept branch out of the multitude of UPS branches that I have used across our great country. Limited mailboxes, usually given reasons why they can’t or aren’t able to provide general and advertised United Parcel Service services. Key word is “service.” It’s minimal at this location. Right down to not being able to take passport photos or having proper packaging materials available. What a shame.

Worst customer service experience ever. They wanted to know what I was shipping, so I was honest and told them it was a rifle scope. They refused to accept the package, claiming that they do not ship gun parts. UPS has shipped numerous complete guns for me. Its not like a scope can be fired or hurt anyone. Maybe I shouldve said it was a telescope. The staff there are rude and make their own rules on what they will ship. There are about a dozen other places in town you can use and not have to go through the 3rd degree of what you are shipping. I have been using Advance Auto on Edwin Miller Blvd and they are excellent with customer service and quick.Thanks for your reply, but I will still use one of the other options. I refuse to do business with you ever again.

It seems to me that UPS has become nothing but a shadow of its former decent self.I didnt like the service or the policy so I called the jive UPS Customer Relations Dept.The cute-ie man tried to playSpin the old Customer and I called him on it so he transfers me to South Americawhere they are honest about it.They dont know and dont want to know.Deal wid it.Call the cute-ie man back and made him fess up that these Stores have gone to the dogs -but thats OK because its UPS andnobody cares.I get it now.

This store had very nice people but is very small and cannot accommodate the amount of people flowing with packages especially now with Covid restrictions. People are lined up at all hours of the day outside in the weather. This has prevented me on multiple occasions from utilizing this location and its services. I am disabled and standing outside in extreme weather is very unfortunate especially in the Winter months. I love UPS but this location cannot accommodate the amount of people continually coming in for services due to the long wait times and limited amount of people allowed in the store. Nothing against the staff just this location.

Went to get a document notarized for a boat. I signed the document thinking no big deal its me I have id. I get there and am assigned to some lady with a stick up her rear. She first didnt even greet me secondly told me she couldnt notarize the document because I had already signed it. Didnt even argue with the stupidity went right up the road to a real notary who stamped it and didnt bat an eye. Also told me she could have signed it crossed out the signature and had me resign and initial if she wanted to be so thorough my thing is u dont have to be so abrasive. Minimal a hello and a Im sorry I cant do that would have been ok. *update* this document says nothing of the sort and dmv took it no problem thanks anyways.

If less than one star was possible I would give that rating. The store needs to realize that the restrictions for COVID has been rescinded yet they will only let four people at a time in the store. Secondly, they charged me $1.07 for taping on a box that was being returned to Amazon. Yet Amazon pays them boat loads of money to handle their returns. What a rip off. Avoid this store at all costs as I will certainly avoid them.

I arrived with a considerable amount of returns and the line was quite long. Once in line an employee named Demetri (please correct me on spelling and proper name, the masks and noise werent helpful, but I believe that is what his name was) came outside and was quite literally the picture of professionalism.He came to each customer and asked them the nature of their order and would attempt to assist them on the spot or suggest they sit in their warm car with a beeper until they could be called in. Once inside, he assisted me with my (self-proclaimed) unappealing, multi-item return with an outstanding attitude and efficiency. We sorted through the items quickly, he explained things and had solutions for items we needed to troubleshoot, and I cant overemphasize the positivity and hustle this employee exhibited. When you are sorting through a multitude of car parts, lights, gauges, etc. and maintain his level of professionalism, you should undoubtedly be recognized and also considered for a more desirable position.So, thank you, Demetri.

Poor service. Dropped packages off for my employer. They wanted to know what was in them. I had no idea. They refused to take the packages. I said why? Apparently the owner of UPS store franchise referenced a manual that they needed to follow and that they dont work for UPS...yet UPS branding is all around the store. If I gsve my package direct to the driver they dont ask. Michaels Craft store drop point doesnt ask. USPS doesnt when they do a UPS relay - outside of liquid, perishible, fragile or potentially hazerdous This refusal caused the package to be late. One client is livid.Its clear the manual doesnt reveal customer service skills.We will be filing a lawsuit on this store for tortious interference of business practice.Do not use, there are other options in town for UPS.

HelloThe store has put things in place to protect employees and customers from contracting the coronavirus . The owners had to be creative, since two people can be permitted in the store at one time. During the summer, the store provided ice cold bottles of water for people who had to wait in line. Because of the cold weather, the store offers customers beepers, so customers can wait in their warm vehicles. Once the beepers have been distributed and when there is enough staff, an employee goes outside to see if there are people who can be helped from their vehicles, in the order they arrived. The clip board with numbers 1-28 is used outside to find and help customers that can be assisted from their vehicles.

Very poor service, with long waiting times. The employees and owner make you feel like a criminal just for shipping a package. They wanted to see an ID just to send an item. Well comrade, I don’t think that is appropriate or necessary. They are very intrusive as to exactly is in the package. You are required to sign a one page micro font form releasing them of all liability as to shipping your package. Avoid this business at all costs if you value your privacy and being respected as a person.

I had a product return to drop off. While waiting in line outside, a girl came out and asked what people had. She wanted to know specifically what was in the box. She said she could take the drop off there if I didnt need a receipt. I took a photo of the box and the labels so I had the tracking number. I asked if it would be scanned in immediately inside the store. She assured that it would. It wasnt. Im hoping it shows up in the system soon. Glad I got a photo of the girl who took the package as well.UPDATE: Comcast shows the return initiated at 2:53 on Saturday, shortly after I dropped the package off. The issue seems to be delayed reporting by the UPS system and not a failure on the part of the UPS Store. My apology to management. The rating has been upgraded.

Store manager is incompetent and rude. Ive had two separate incidents where she was unable to provide clear and sane documented process for both shipping and notary services.Called them on the phone to ask if they will make a certified copy of a document and they said they would. Upon arrival, the store manager approached the employee helping me, and said that they couldnt. Not only do they not understand what a certified copy is, they dont know how to use their notary services.Avoid this location. Terrible customer service and ineptitude by the manager. 2nd strike is my final strike, this location will not be visited again. I should have read the other negative reviews with the same issues with management.

Wow, there are so many nasty reviews of this UPS Store. While I will agree that there is often a line and sometimes the employees working seem in the weeds, everyone who works there has always been polite, professional, knowledgeable, and even friendly to me. Would I prefer the ease of a UPS locker? Yes, I would. However, that is not an option here. I frequently return Amazon purchases to this location and have shipped things, including something that needed to be packed by them, without incident. What they lack in speed seems to be made up for it in accuracy, which is not a bad thing. The ladies who work at this UPS Store are essentially getting mauled by the public all day, every day. The volume alone in that store seems traumatic to me. I can fully empathize with any frustration they might have or convey, though I have never had any negative experiences with them. Something to consider might be ones own approach and some situational awareness when visiting this location. You get what you give most of the time, and these ladies do not make up the corporate rules. More often than not, I have been held up in line by someone who was not prepared with his or her shipment for one reason or another. Whose fault is that? I would not be very nice if I had to deal with that over and over all day. Have some empathy for these very hard-working ladies.

Being someone who rarely ever steps foot inside UPS, Ill say that I had a fantastic experience. Having looked at the stores rating, Im disappointed in the discrepancy among experiences and honestly believe the low score is a result of inpatient and fussy customers after many having many experiences in mailing retail stores.With that said, I visited on a weekday around noon and was almost immediately helped by the friendly staff. Needing to return an Amazon order, the workers admitted that they werent too sure on how to go through the process successfully. With that said, I showed the two workers my phone screen, and we navigated the return process with Amazons app. After trying several different actions, we three were able to solve my problem.And this is the best part of my experience. The two workers thanked me! They both were happy that they finally were able to understand how to help customers navigate through this problem in needing to return Amazon parcels. They were pleased, and I was pleased. The entire experience was a win-win for all.

Horrible franchise location. Customer service is terrible. Employees are rude and cannot articulate clear instructions. One employee actually told me I should go to another location since it would be faster! I shouldve taken her advice! I dropped off an Amazon package and had to wait 25 minutes, even though I had a label printed and tracking number created. One poor guy didnt have a label printed, they told him they would help him, he waited 45 minutes and was told it would be 2 dollars to rent their computer and another 2 dollars per page to print his label. Numerous customers left due to one female employee becoming hostile and rude with them. The eastern panhandle needs a legitimate UPS store that is well managed and run.

Worker (younger dark haired girl with a buffalo plaid mask - no name tag) was extremely rude and made me wait outside while she took over 15 minutes to help 1 person. I had a prepaid package that I should’ve just been able to drop off like I can in Winchester VA. Then she proceeded to pretend that she’d forgotten that she’d spoken to me after I came back in the building and started harassing me about what was in the box. It’s none of her business. It was boxed up with a clearly labeled Amazon return. If I could leave zero stars I would!No, the response below was NOT helpful, nor was I provided a beeper/pager device. Again, I point out that I had a prepaid package that I should’ve just been able to drop off like I can in Winchester VA. Your response was lackluster at best.

I called about a package that I know that I dropped off and had not been sent out 2 days prior. Instead of putting me on hold professionally, the @#$% employee answered the phone, said hold please, and proceeded to lay the phone down on the counter as she helped 3 other customers, while I was still on the phone. I dont care if they were already in line that is as professional as walking into the Capitol building in a strippers outfit bearing your own pole... Yet again, Martinsburg corporate establishments are living up to the horrendous reputation that precedes it.... Way to go UPS!

Horrible store! I’ve had to stand out in the rain, snow, and freezing temp for almost an hour one time just to get a package back to Amazon. Then once inside had to deal with horrible attitudes from an older black lady. Tried this last time to get a paper from the DMV notarized (which was marked from the dmv what they needed) and still couldn’t get it done because it was signed at DMV. Even showed our drivers license signatures, and she would not accept that. Had a guy drive from PA (Over an hour) only to be turned around. He was not happy with the service, or how we were treated at all either. I don’t plan on ever returning there. I will drive to Hagerstown first. Horrible experiences every time.

The staff here are very good, and quite efficient, while dealing with C19 protocols, and related limitations, especially for such a small location. At this time, they only allow 2 customers at a time into the premises. But delays seem to be more due to unprepared customers, than to anything the staff can control. I mainly use this location for Amz returns, and I always pack up and attach my shipping labels from home, so it only takes 2 minutes once Im inside. I like them.

By far dumbest system Ive ever seen. We got beeper to sit in our car and wait then the girl couldnt even remember who had which number and was wandering around holding up numbers. In the time it took her to find number 1 she couldve scanned in about 5 Amazon returns. Ridiculous and inefficient...no wonder overall reviews are so bad. Dont waste your time going.

Wow! Horrible experience! I was charged by the owner for a single piece of tape. I jokingly said that was criminal. The owner took offense to it and gave me attitude. She told me they are trying to run a business. I get that, but $1.00 for a piece of tape? A role of packing tape is a $1.00. She probably uses that for more then over a hundred customers. So that is criminal! Be more realistic with your pricing, how about 25 cents. Again, I get your trying to run a business. Just don’t take advantage of your customers and overcharge them. I say them, because I certainly won’t ever go there again, regardless of how convenient the location is. The owner needs to take classes on customer service. Just let the young lady that was there run the counter, she seemed pleasant.

EDIT UPDATE: Since posting my original review the store has made steps to streamline their service. They have finally started to check on customers in long lines to see if they have quick Amazon drop offs. This was my major complaint and it has been addressed. Thus, I am increasing my review from one to 4 stars.Original: Store is nice but the staff and management are clueless. Given the prevalence of Amazon based business they have done nothing to accommodate said returns. There is no quick drop off for properly packaged and labeled returns. So if there is a long line of people who have to fill out forms or package items...you will wait and wait. Did it ever occur to management to monitor and ask waiting customers if they have such packages that take 5 seconds to process? Nope. They just want you to wait and stew and write bad reviews on Google. Well here you go.

The ladies at this UPS #2468 in Martinsburg are so helpful, nice and ready to solve any shipping, printing need. I have managed global printing facilities for publicly traded and private entities for over 38 years. Having been a business owner i have hired and mentored hundreds of emloyees over my career.Samantha once again got me the printing project i needed for an out of town client. She was fast, cool under pressure and so pleasant. Dont go to the competition. Come here for your shipping and printing projects both business and personal. They are a joy to work with and you will thank me.

Ouch, that last review a bit harsh given the fact you were only there once and have no idea what the stores restrictions may have been set by UPS themselves.I have been a loyal customer there for over a year and a half and have always been treated well. The place is always packed with other happy customers. The Store manager Bold face lied to me today. I attempted to ship an item back to amazon. The item is a magazine finger extension. Small piece of plastic that goes on the bottom of a pistol magazine. She told me she wasn’t “allowed” to ship an item “related” to a firearm. I contacted the corporate office and was told that is not true. So, this was her personal issue against firearms coming through.

WOSRT STORE EVER!! Waited more than 30 minutes to return a rug because I was sent a code to scam. There were 10 people in line while one of the employees stood and chatted to some kind of retirement person. I can tell you all about his wife and rental property! I took a package in to be returned to sender. It came to me via UPS. I was told that I had to physically hand it to a driver. I drove 20 minutes, 1 way, to get to this store. Luckily when I walked out, a truck had just arrived. I went over, knocked on the truck for the driver, and told him what I had just been told. He took the box out of my hand, looking at me in disbelief. He looked at their back door then back at me and said, Ok, I will take it in and hand it to them. Seriously!? She couldnt take it from, but he walks in not 5 minutes later with the same box, and she takes it? Unreal. The ONLY reason I use this store is because they are the closest to me. I actually try to find a truck and just ask the driver to take it.

Terrible customer service! Went to get a document notarized, the woman behind the counter would not accept an out of state ID and did not accept a military veterans ID. She was rude and was reading documents we brought into her..but wouldn’t sign the documents. She was laughing at us when we told her that in fact this was a US military ID. We walked out and she began yelling at us which caused my boyfriend with PTSD to yell at her. When we got into our car she came outside and mocked us with her hands in the air laughing at us..along with a delivery driver. Totally insane. And this is how she treats veterans that served in combat. I’m sure nothing will happen to her. I would strongly suggest to go somewhere else, unless you want to be waited on by someone with zero people skills and competency .This is in response to the owner. You’re a liar.. if you were the notary from yesterday.. the war you handled things was deplorable. I don’t care that you have a military family. You are disrespectful human being. I was lied to by the store owner (Mary) of this location while trying to ship a next day air package. She claimed UPS would not ship a laptop with a battery next day air because of FAA regulations. She also claimed she couldnt provide me with damage insurance because she didnt pack my shipment at her store. I contacted UPS Customer Service and they confirmed both of these issues to be 100% false. I contacted Mary to discuss these issues. During our conversation, she was rude and combative. In fact, I had to ask several times for her to let me speak.I am appalled that a business owner would treat a customer this way. Her policies are not inline with UPS policies. In my opinion, she creates policies (which she is allowed to do as a store owner) simply to fleece her customers. Thats her prerogative, but I feel potential customers should be aware of this.At least she had the decency to refund my transaction. I took my package to the Hagerstown UPS terminal and shipped it with its battery, with insurance, and without issue, in my packaging for $40 cheaper.

The store owner is extremely rude. Had very important documents that was time sensitive and needed to be faxed. It took the owner over 1 hour to fax these documents, and she was not able to get it right the first time. When she called back, I pointed out that I did not want to pay for a service (over $60.00) for something that was suppose to have been a fast service, and that she should offer some sort of compensation. She got extremely hostile, starting to yell and scream over the phone, making accusations that I did not want to pay for this service and indicating that I was a thief. I told her she was very unprofessional and rude. Please go somewhere else and have your needs taken care of. I would have much rather have paid twice as much for better service.

I am an independent retailer and went to this UPS location to utilize their Printing Services. I brought in a professionally designed image for both my business cards and thank you cards. I do a lot of business and so I ordered 500 of each, still knowing in a couple months I would need to return for more.A young lady, Jenna (which i remember because we have the same name), assisted me at the counter when placing my order and we discussed that both the thank you cards and business cards would be printed on cardstock (I didnt ask for anything extravagant here, and made sure she understood I was perfectly ok with standard materials). My cards are in color on both sides. She walked me back to the computer behind the desk to retrieve the correct files off my flash drive. I specifically had her download the full bleed images as I wanted the FULL side of my cards printed. As in....NO BORDER. She understood. Price of this order was never discussed, but I have bought business cards before so I had an idea of price in mind, especially considering they were just plain cardstock.At this point she informed me that she could print the business cards that day (Wednesday) but that my thank you cards had to be printed by a store manager who would not return until Saturday. I told her I absolutely needed these cards by Saturday. She said this would not be an issue. She had also taken down my email to send me image proofs of my cards prior to printing (WHICH I NEVER RECEIVED).Thursday I returned to pick up my business cards. The clarity of the printing was nice, cardstock was standard, but there was a white border (about 2mm) around the card that I had specifically asked NOT be there when I asked for full bleed. She politely apologized and the owner (a woman) suggested either a reprint or to discount my order. Knowing Id very quickly need new business cards, I agreed to a discount and told her there was no issue, I would return for more business cards soon enough and theyd have a chance to right the wrong.That day I also purchased 23 9x11 sheets of cardstock printed in color. I paid 76$ for those sheets and the 10% discounted 500ct business cards.I awaited a phone call Saturday letting me know my Thank You cards were done but it never came and I was very preoccupied with a sale that day. Knowing they were closed Sundays, I waited till Monday to call about my order. I called in the morning and they told me my order was complete.Showed up to pick up my order at about 11:40am. approximately 6 people in line ahead of me. I waited about 10-15 minutes to get to the counter. Once I got up to the counter the sales associate retrieved my order just behind her and showed me a proof card. There was about a 1/2 white border around the entire card. (again when I placed the order I specifically asked for full bleed). I complained about this issue. She rang up the 500 cards......$160! I told her she MUST have input something wrong because that number was OUTRAGEOUS. She went to get the owner, a man, who printed my business cards and he tells me that his prices are competitive for the area and that it would cost more to print the full card without a border. Utterly shocked and upset that after waiting all this time to have my cards printed, I told the man that I could have easily had these printed for less than HALF on the internet. I had gone to UPS because I needed them quickly.He did offer to reprint the cards at the higher price, but never offered to discount the misprinted cards he had. So i refused the order. They looked TERRIBLE. There was no way I was going to send these poorly done cards to my clients.So, in conclusion.....The customer service here is sub-par. The printing services are INSANELY OVERPRICED and poorly done. I will never be returning.Just take your business to vistaprint. I literally paid 80 dollars for upgraded cardstock, gloss, full bleed cards and they even sent me a proof of each instantly.-A Disappointed Business Woman

IM DISGUSTED by the poor customer service that this site has. Absolutely the worst. We always come with prepaid packages and weve never been treated kindly. Tonight we arrived at 6:29pm to drop off 3 prepaid packages and the girls who work here were outside locking up. We ran up to the door and they shut it in our face! Then we knocked- ONLY to have the manager mouth some words to us though the window. AWFUL representation of any company much less UPS. We literally just had to hand packages to them and they could hold them until tomorrow. AVOID THIS STORE!!!!!!!

There are two issues unique to this particular UPS Store:#1 Failure to adhere to UPS Policies:The store owners have a tendency to impose additional policies on shippers which are invasive.For example, when attempting to return a box to Amazon with a pre-printed shipping label, shippers are forced to fill out a form. The form asks for all the shipping addresses and phone numbers as well as the package contents and value. Most of that information is already contained on the pre-printed label. As you can imagine, this form complete negates the concept of a drop-off.However, if you dont know the contents of the box (i.e. if you are dropping off a return for your wife) they will not accept it unless they know what the contents and value are. I have been sent home on more than one occasion for lack of this information.Similarly, if you are overnighting legal documents, they will persist in asking about the specific type of documents and their value. This is clearly none of their business.#2 Poor Customer Service:All the staff members - from the owners down - are quite rude.For example, if you were to point out that no other UPS store requires an additional form for a pre-printed drop-off, the owners immediately become combative. They will claim that the form is UPS policy and they cannot control what other stores dont do. This is a flat-out lie. UPS has confirmed that it is not their policy.In addition, while filling out my form, Ive observed repeated horrific lapses in customer service, including but not limited to: impatience with older or slower customers, condescension toward less informed customers, evasiveness, belligerence and of course refusal of service.Its as though the owners and staff see the customer as an inconvenience.After several years of encounters of this type, I no longer use this store at all. Instead, I use the numerous drop-boxes in the area. If a shipment is too large for that, Ill schedule a home pick-up - still faster than their silly form. Under no circumstances will I validate, condone or support the behavior of this stores owners and staff.That said, and despite my experiences here, Im still a huge fan of UPS. My council to corporate is to investigate this franchisee for adherence to UPS standards in both policy and professionalism.

Went there today to have a paper notarized. The notary was rude and wasnt knowledgeable about the vernacular associated with being a notary.He response was that she didnt understand so she couldnt help me. Then went back to playing on the computer. She was very short and didnt seem to knowledgeable about customer service. When you are having something notarized I would suggest Mary C Linton Financial & Tax. Its right behind the UPS store and they knew exactly what they were doing and even made a copy of my document.

My small box was missing a piece of tape and they said it would cost over $1 to put a small piece of tape on it. Ridiculous!

Some middle aged woman who works here glared at me as I walked to the counter. She said what are you shipping I responded a few movies she said they do not allow shipping of DVDs ( avengers iron man movies like that ) Im not from Martinsburg so whoever I reminded you of I really am not that person. Hagerstown UPS cheaper and they allow shipment of DVDs. Discriminate much?

The staff was rude, did not explain why I was indeed over charged more than double to send a package, and did not provide me with ANY customer support. I had to call the corporate office, and they told me I was at the mercy of the owners at this franchise. Never again. Stay away.

Beware! Staff was extremely short tempered and rude. Services listed on the website are not always available. If you are open until 6:30pm and only provide some services until 4:00pm it should be noted on the website.

Liars. Ran by a woman who does not want to ship anything. She will lie and say cannot ship packages over 30 lbs. UPS ships tons of packages over 30 lbs. She is too lazy to lift anything.
