Waste management employees in mqt are very lazy workers. I had ONE cardboard piece on my trash, one piece. and I guess because this single cardboard piece wasn’t in a container, they didn’t pick it up!? It’s one piece. They could’ve just picked it up. I literally have video of them picking it up and littering it back onto my yard. They’re a jokeUPDATE: 8/23/2021 I have security video of them tossing my container of my cardboard and breaking my container, also took photos of the damage. Second time they have broken my container and now I have proof.UPDATE #2 8/31/2021 I think it funny WM replies to these reviews are so polite and caring when they STILL IGNORE THE EMAILS we send them. Their adorable replies are like, We dont tolerate this at all, please email us at this email and we will make sure it gets handled. Well, I have emailed them twice at that email they gave me in their reply and they havent replied back to me. Dont believe their replies on here, theyre laughable. I have never experienced this low of customer service.

Was on hold for over an hour. In the past, I broke down boxes & put them & other recyclables in another sturdy cardboard box & it was always picked up. Now I am told I must but the items to be recycled in a hard sided container. Unfortunately, this is not easy for me to do. I use a walker & even with this, it is extremely hard to get around. If I use the container, I would need to go out the following morning to retrieve it which is hard for me to do. Guess they are forcing me to stop being a recycling person as I will now be cutting down the boxes into smaller pieces & putting boxes, cans & other recyclables in my garbage bags. Thanks waste management for nothing.

Can’t tell if they are lazy or stupid or maybe both. They are really bad at actually picking up recycling.

They are terrible and they are all we have to deal with. theres always a reason they wont grab our trash even in their stupid green bags that just create more waste. this is the worst trash service ever. I hate this company

As you can see by the many like reviews, this is a rotten corporation to deal with. But if youve tried to contact them, you already know this. Nothing even resembling customer service. Lousy. And we are stuck with them.

$50 minimum? What a joke. It’s $10 minimum at North Country. This is why garbage ends up dumped on trails and in ditches on side of the road. I wouldn’t do that personally but I would burn it if it cost $50 to dispose of 100 lbs of furniture. I am going to drive to 492 to North Country before I give these crooks $50. I’ll do the right thing and give North Country the business and a 5 star review since their prices are fair.

Disappointed in Marquette county waste management. They refuse to pick up garbage bags weighing more than 30lbs despite not weighing them and just judging. My kid could carry the garbage bag they refused to pick up, how about you give all your resident garbage cans if you refuse to pick up a heavy bag?

10:30 am I Called regarding our recyclables not being picked up. Corporate put me on hold after giving the information.After 5 minutes A new person comes on whom i had to repeat everything to. She stated she contacted “Mark” the driver and they will pick them up by the end of the business day. It us 5 pm, still there.

The system isnt perfect, but staff are very helpful.Its SO nice to have a local spot to drop stuff off on short notice.There are FREE options available, but the lines are long and only on certain days.

Didnt pick up our recycling for 2 weeks. Didnt have the decency to notify us the second time that they wouldnt be doing their normally scheduled run. They did notify us the first time, but didnt follow through on the alleged rescheduled time. Had to call their office to get a recording of the reschedule for the second time, well see if they pick it up this time.

Go to the landfill, for 200 lbs of household garbage it was $45. For $45 I could have dumped 4000lbs at the landfill. Never go there again, hopefully the company will go bankrupt after people realize that they are a rip off.

I would give a rating of 0/5 stars if I could. Absolutely terrible customer service, I have had years of trouble with this company. I try my absolute best to keep up with updated guidelines and rules regarding garbage disposal and recycling but it seems as if no one that actually works for the company is on the same page regarding these policies. I have had 4 recycling bins broken and destroyed from the carelessness of the people who handle garbage pickup. I have been told to just deal with it when I inquired about the recycling bin issue months ago. If this is how the company handles the community, then it makes me wonder how they are handling our garbage/recycling...

The hours of operation are not user friendly for a person working the 9 to five. That being open only till three on weekdays. Andno availability to use on weekends.

Went to drop off garbage and manager comes out, and explains to me that it is $5 a bag. I did not know that as I have dropped off recycling there multiple times, without being told that I needed to provide an ID showing my city residence. I told her that I didnt know about the charge and that it was my first time dropping off garbage, so I started to pick up the 4 bags I put on the floor, however the manager barks at me and says that once the garbage is on the floor, it is WM property. This was just a very rude confrontation with a customer, who reluctantly paid and was just confused about the process and rules of the dump. Never going back. Ill probably go dump the rest of my garbage on the managers lawn.

Marquette has the worst garbage system. Never had any problems any other places I’ve lived.

Yall need to open at like 8 o clock instead of 9:30 so people can get some work done. But other than that real nice place easy to dump

Overpriced and their website is terrible! I couldnt log on for weeks and by the time its fixed Im charged a $11.95 late fee!? Their website doesnt have an area to dispute charges or file a complaint either. Im going to start going to the dump instead...

This place is a joke. The guy didn’t even see anyone in line and everyone sat in line for 20 minutes until we called and had to get transferred to the Marquette office and tell him people were waiting.

I’ve been calling for weeks to rent a dumpster for home renovations. No answer or call back.
