Jake and Jeff at Yooptone are two of the nicest guys you’ll meet in the business. No BS, just straight talk and solid service. They will go out of their way to accommodate your needs and go above and beyond to lend a helping hand. Give the place a look sometime, even if you’re just hanging out!

I have wanted to check this place out for a while, so I finally did. I was not disappointed. Like vinyl? Go check them out. They have a fantastic selection of both vintage and new records in well arranged rasck. I picked up a new copy of ZZ Tops Eliminator album because, hey, I needed it. Can you scour the internet for albums? Yes. But this is a rare brick and mortar record shop that employs knowledgeable friendly humans, which is what the online experience does not provide. Which, in my opinion is a must. Friendly staff that is not snobby (score! 😃) and they let me talk their ears off, much to my daughters frustration however. I will be back for 100% sure. So stop buying vinyl for rock bottom prices from the interwebs for who knows what, and give these guys a visit, you will not be disappointed. I will be back next year on my annual trip for sure! Support local businesses like Yoop Tone so they have a reason to stay around to provide a true record shop experience. I am sure glad I did. We WILL be back

I am not from the area but visit family there. I simply want to know if there are an recording studios in marquette area, or if anyone tgere is willing to work with a rap artist

Great shop! The owners are real believers in the music community in Marquette. I was impressed with their selection. And, I needed something they didn’t have and ordered from them rather than go online. It got to me within a week and gave me a reason to get out of the house.

Yooptone is a fabulous shop. New & used instruments, and guitar repairs by Jake. Ive had frets replaced and a pickup installed. Fine work. Stop in and check it out. Just dont ask Jeff to sing.

Had an old but worthwhile guitar tuned up by Jake. The work was professional, solid, fair priced, and respectful to the guitar. It sounds more amazing than I thought possible! Highly recommend.

What Jeff says is all true. I am a long time customer friend (10 years and running) of both these great people. They have never let me down no matter if I needed equipment at the last minute for concerts or delicate work done on my favorite instruments. They are top notch business people and respected family and community members too.

What a great shop- definitely my favorite in the area. The staff is wonderful and introduced me to a new kind on instrument I have had a blast learning to play. Definitely worth a visit, for quality instruments, knowledgeable staff, and the largest selection of Harmonicas north of the bridge! :)

The staff at Yooptone are fantastic! They were extremely helpful in getting my dad’s guitar back to us quickly after he passed away in February. I haven’t touched it since then, but once I am ready I know I can depend on Yooptone to keep it in great shape. I would recommend the shop 100%!

Had a somewhat larger selection from a good variety compared to other shops in the area. Though they didnt have what i was looking for and had an abysmal compact disc section I still appreciated it for what it was. Ive also seen vynil kept in more organized fashion at other places. Barnes and Nobel had more popular vynil to be honest.

I buy everything here to support my guitar/ukulele hobby. They carry a large selection of ukes and accessories and are very helpful. If they dont have it they can order it for you. Shop local - the prices are the same as what you would pay from an online retailer anyways. They also carry vinyl (new & used). If you are a uke player, check out and play with the Marquette Ukulele Group that meets here once a month.

I was very happy to find this place! A great variety of instruments and very nice staff.

The Redneck Preacher highly recommends Yooptones Music Store. I am taking lessons from Famous Jake and He is a very talented guitar player and the best banjo picker in the area. Jeff is also an amazing musician and songwriter. The expertise of these two combined is unmatched by any music store i have ever been in. There Guitar selection is awesome they have definitely put in stock a nice selection from high end stuff to the best bang for your buck stuff. i love the Simon and Patrick Luthier guitars . Vox amps,Used guitars, drums all the goodies and the first 6 string mandolin i have ever seen too.

I have been playing guitar since the late 80 s and have seen many stores across this fine country, but easily the best place for great musical vibe and an amazing selection of products both used and new has got to be Yooptone in Marquette MI 🎶🎸😄 Even if you are not looking for any equipment atm, I still highly recommend Jeff and Jake for any info about just about any musical question or even if you are starting a band, in a band, as they know many ppl they could help you connect with right away- all levels of learning included! ;-) Sooo much warmer of an atmosphere than anything else around or online! They have a great return policy too just incase you didnt quite get exactly what you were looking for! 😎 Cant recommend Yooptone enough, check them out right away!
