Highly recommend Suede Salon! I have a fear of haircuts & salons, so I haven’t even had a trim in 3 years. I’m ecstatic to have finally found a salon that I trust. Meghan did a flawless transformation on my hair color (first time EVER coloring my hair) and Becky listened to me wanting to keep my length but get rid of the dead ends, she did a perfect hair trim. Suede Salon was recommended to me by a coworker. My first appointment was with Daniela for color and highlights. She did an amazing consultation and my hair came out exactly as described. I vluding what is healthy or not for the care of hair. My second appointment i was sent to Dornell because I had forgotten Danielas name. Dornell is also a magnificent color/highlights professional. I continued the services with her, however, when Corona Virus came upon us the salon was obviously closed and when they reopened they so much appointment requests that my best choice was to have Daniella, once again, provide color and highlights. It was AMAZING!!! Thats not all!!! I had a consultation for extensions with Michael. He took his time and analyzed what would or wouldnt work. He ordered the hair and he installed it. I have never seen a job like this done beautifully and professional. Michael is also a wonderful hair cutter, blowout etc. I recommend this business 100 %. I stand by my review!

Took my first appointment here this weekend... They followed all the safety protocols and have very safe environment... Got set up with Hair stylist Sheryll(forgive me -not sure of the spelling) for a hair-cut... She did a great hair cut and it was upto my expectations... And I also got a chance to have my first ever Pedicure in my lifetime here and I opted for their signature pedicure... Lea was the stylist whom I was seeing that day... She was just awesome and my feet felt really good after the pedicure... If there anyone who still hasnt tried Pedicure, I would suggest pls schedule a Pedicure session nearby immediately... You got to try it, its just awesome...

Recently got my hair done today(1/24/21) and was informed at the end of my session that a blowout was by appointment only. I walked out the of the salon with wet hair after talking to the manager about how I couldn’t even have some money taken off after I paid over $150. I was told it was going to be an extra $50+ just to get my hair dried because, Kelly, the stylist did not have a hair dryer. I came home not knowing the results of my hair until I blow dried it and became even more upset. I did not get what I asked for. The foils for the blonde on the bottom of my hair did not even appear. I did not get my money’s worth.

Like the rest of America, I was WAY overdue for a haircut and so made an appointment with Suede as it was nearby and easy to reach. I went this past Thursday afternoon and was not disappointed. Everyone was incredibly pleasant, and they are offering full services while practicing the proper measures. When I arrived, I signed a waiver, had my temp taken, and was instructed to wash my hands. I then got my shampoo and conditioner and scalp massage (thanks, Veronica!) and then was taken to get my hair cut by Niki. She was wonderful - professional, swift, precise, and really cool. I left the place a happy gal and looking good! Ill be back for sure!

Been going to suede salon for the last year and it’s been the best experience! Dome hooks it up every time with a cut and color! With this “new normal” the salon goes above and beyond with their precautions to keep everyone safe. The salon is CLEAN, the staff is FRIENDLY, and the experience is AMAZING. Please stay clear away from this SHAM of a salon!!! If looks, esthetics and appearances are your thing because its in the Promenade Sagamore in South Jersey then so be it. But let me tell you, looks are deceiving! I have thin, medium length hair that was previously lightened using the bayalage technique and I do not understand how this hair color and cut that I requested cost me $397!!!!!!!! The hair colorist, named Tara, was not upfront nor did she disclose pricing with me. She mentioned this was a fantasy hair color in casual conversation but never once advised me that there was an up charge!!!! She just kept tacking on charges on my bill. What the hell is Fantasy hair color? I, being an innocuous client never bothered to ask nor did I think I would be charged for it! How is it fair to charge a client for a different type of hair color? I have never heard of such a thing!!! Any reputable salon would not be so dishonest with their clients. I have never been taken advantaged of in this fashion in all my years of getting my hair professionally colored and cut. They dont really care about their clients, all they want is your money! I called several times about my complaint. Several times when I called from my cell phone, the phone would ring and never connect to their automated answering service and then my call would drop. I called with a different number and I was connected. They obviously were filtering out phone numbers from angry clients!!! I had to call several times to reach a resolution regarding this matter because Kim (the manager) did not follow up with me. After Kim spoke with the colorist, Tara, they said the charges on my bill were justified because of all the product that was used on my Asian hair and all the time it took to process the color!!! They said that the color that I chose was outside of normal or natural color so they charged for a Fantasy Color. The color I wanted was a very subtle brownish pink hue. I did not request purple hair. I sat there from 2pm and left at 5pm so I spent 3 hours. I have always spent approximately 3 hours in a hair salon for a color and cut so to me that was not out of the norm for me. Gloria, the hair stylist, charged me to curl my hair, when I didnt ask for it. It was offered to me because they were taking before and after pictures of my hair. The owner of Suede, Nancy, recognized that Tara should have been upfront with the cost so they refunded me only $60! Apparently, there has been other complaints from other clients. They refused to refund me for the Fantasy hair color. I would advise anyone to stay away especially those who have darker or Asian hair who wants to have a non-traditional hair color to go elsewhere!!!Photos below are what I got, what I was charged, and what I wanted. It is completely absurd what they charged me for my hair!!! This is a public service announcement, just dont waste your time there!!

Business must be very slow here because they did not tip their DELIVERY DRIVER for their lunch!! Steer clear of this place!!! I mean dont order delivery if you cant pay for delivery, especially with the pandemic. If you do come here, remember dont tip them since they arent going to be needing that money to tip!

Had two friends (who cancelled upcoming appointments after their recent experiences) and several other people tell me the same horror stories about this place that I went through, including problems with following COVID-19 guidelines and unapologetically overcharging by HUGE amounts.The worst part is this salon THREATENS and intimidates clients who want to keep themselves and others safe during COVID-19 when they see questionable practices. Their employees use EXTREME profanity and scary personal telephone attacks on customers. It is incredibly unsafe and worrisome. If anyone would like to learn more about what an unsafe and scary situation this salon placed my family and I in, please message me.Avoid this place if you want to place your trust and money in reputable and safe colorists and stylists.The manager Kim here is very hostile, unpleasant (as another reviewer mentioned earlier) and needs to be reported to the BBB and take a course on basic public health safety and professionalism. Disgusting and shameful.

I have come here for 10 years and have gotten my hair, eyelashes, and makeup done here. They have the best service and the best customer service! The place is super clean and everyone is amazing, highly recommend this place.

Very, very unprofessional and downright hostile owners, and we are uncertain if this salon is following Covid regulations. The atmosphere here is like that of a petty high school with overaged working women in Alex and Ani bracelets- with way too much attitude and not nearly enough class or skill, which is not really surprising because youre out in South Jersey at a place trying to pass off as high-end when its really not. This is definitely not New York City.The seat I sat in was dirty with some hair and something that was stuck to it. They also overcharge without telling you theyre doing treatments as I believe someone mentioned below. I didnt ask for one during my washing and was given and charged for one.Furthermore, my colorist was handling me and a client who needed a cut and dry at the same time- this is strongly advised against during the pandemic.Hard pass if you want good, non-overpriced service and to stay safe during this time.

This was my very first time at Suede Salon. I came because there was a lot of 5 star reviews on google. I went with my little sister on June 20. My sister loves her hair done by Cheryl. Unfortunately, I dont like my hair at all (done by Gina). When I went in, it was busy and packed with people. After my hair was done, I gave it a week, just to see if I like it. You know, like breaking in new shoes? Unfortunately, everyday that has past made me feel more ugly. My hair looks nothing like any of the pictures that I showed her. I had dyed my hair before. Once when I was 15 and once last year. Sure, I got a couple of split ends, but it was nothing like this, where my hair can’t be brushed without having a lot of hair breakage. I generally brush my hair no more than 15 times and it’s quite smooth. After going to the salon and got my hair done by Gina, even after 67 times of brushing it, it’s still knotting. The texture is very dry, course, and web-like. After getting my hair done by Gina, no one told me I looked good. My grandma told me that I have a lion’s mane because it’s so fluffy. Gina told me that she will leave the color in for 10 mins. She didn’t come back until about 20 mins later. I know it was past 10 mins because the lady who was next to me had a timer dryer for 10 mins and I sat for a long time after the lady’s time was up. I don’t know if my hair was damaged because the dye was left in too long, but please help me. I feel so ugly right now. Also, my hair was not flawlessly blended. The transition was pretty blunt and one side is blonder than the other and one side has a random bright blonde piece. Lastly, when Gina colored my fringe, it’s uneven. One side is higher than the other.I did not do anything with my hair, except take a shower and air dry it. Since I saw my hair was already dry and damaged after the salon, I didnt think it was wise to straighten or curl my hair.I paid $200 for this, and I feel so ripped off.

Tori is one of the BEST colorist in Jersey! Not only does she make you feel so comfortable and safe to be in her hands, she delivers!! Got my hair done twice by Tori now and every time I am left feeling so beautiful. I have very long, thick hair, and I am at the salon for hours, but Tori goes beyond to make sure that I am SO comfortable there (asking if I need something to drink, eat, etc). Tori is the BEST of the BEST. I am beyond happy that I found my forever salon at Suede. Suede has SO much to offer! They’re a great salon. I also had a lash lift done there and let me tell you my lashes have never looked so good!

I have been having my hair cut here for years, easy location, lots of other great stores here so you can plan other errands. Its in the Promenade shopping center which is rated highly. I have stayed with Courtney for as long as Ive been coming here, shes really great! Shop is clean, well organized & theyre eager to help you with whatever your needs are. They offer many services, their website is complete. Also have coupons throughout the year, a major plus.

Went in for a hair cut with a picture of what I wanted for my daughters wedding. I did not get nearly what I asked for. Long crying story. BUT, Here is the FIVE STAR PART! I went back in and the owner fixed as much as possible, gave me my money back and the day of the wedding she did a fantastic job on my hair!! Have been a client of the salon for 7 years. I have been seeing Aimee, Meghan and Alexandria, they are all amazing! However, the salon itself has sneaky pricing policies, so be very careful. I just got charged almost same amount for a partial as I pay for a full head. I thought this was a silly misunderstanding, but the salon manager was quick to shut me up. She gave me BS reasons for why I have to pay so much for a tiny, in-between-visits touch up, and made me feel embarrassed for even bringing this up, so I just paid and left. I just think this is an odd way of treating your regular customer, who has been coming in for same exact treatments at your salon with same exact stylists for many years, and clearly knows how much each treatment costs. And once again, this review has nothing to do with the stylists, only with Kim, the manager. The stylists will always have a 5-star rating from me.

Had the absolute best experience at Suede today. I called this morning for an appointment and came in later in the afternoon for a basic haircut with just some long layers etc. Upon walking in, the front desk was very friendly to me and told me my stylist, Lindsey, would be right with me. Lindsey was so nice to me and gave me an even better haircut than I could have expected. Overall, I had such a great experience and will definitely be back to have Lindsey do my hair again!

Ive been going to Suede for years now for my hair and nails and occasional massage. They do it all! The staff I come to see (especially Leanne) is fantastic. I even drive up from Williamstown as I dont want to go anywhere else. :)

I was dissatisfied with their costumer service. One girl tells me one thing, and another girl tells me another. I wanted to refund two hair products: not open, not used, and had the receipt. I called on the day I got it and asked Amanda, What is your return policy? She said, As long as its not open/used, you can return it and well give the money back. I live an hour and a half away. Since I just got back from there, I wasnt going to drive and hour and a half again the same day. So I called again to verify if they can return the money back to me and the second girl Michele said, We can only return store credit for hair products. Im a working student with minimal wage pay, and these hair products were expensive. I only bought them because my hair was butchered by them in the first place. But when they fixed the texture of my hair, it turned out that I didnt need the products. I kept begging to please refund me because no where in the store did I see their return policy and no where online was their refund policy was found. When I spoke to the owner, she said, Come in and get another hair product for a lesser price and we will pay you the difference. So I drove an hour and a half (I live in AC) back to the salon, and did just that. but the product I chose for a lesser deal was still quite pricey (even though that was the cheapest one I could find). -.-

You need to go see Courtney for your haircut or formal style right now! She is amazing! She is super welcoming and friendly. I first met her when one of the receptionists recommended her for my wedding formal style. I had never went to Suede before this and I was looking to book the salon for myself and my bridal party on my wedding day. I instantly liked Courtney when I first met her for my bridal trial. She was very attentive and made me look even better than my hair inspiration picture. I knew I had to go back to her. I booked my entire wedding party for hair and makeup at the salon. My girls and I all looked amazing! Courtney did such an amazing job during my bridal trial that I also booked an appointment with her for the day after my wedding to get my haircut. I have had long hair my entire life and I wanted it all cut off after my wedding. Courtney again did an amazing job! I even had a complete stranger compliment me on my haircut. I have never had a preferred regular hairdresser but I do now! I will definitely be going to Courtney for my haircuts from now on! Also a shoutout to Penny for doing my mothers and my make-up for my wedding. She did an amazing job and the makeup easily held up all night long!

I’ve been seeing Tori since fall for my balayage/highlights and she is a great colorist!!! Not knowing the first thing about hair personally, she has always been honest about the process to go blonde/how much it will cost me. I recently got highlights for the start of summer and I have gotten so many compliments on how light my hair has gotten. When I showed the colorist what kind of hair color I wanted, she straight up told me that I wouldnt look good in it. That made me wonder,Is she just saying that because she cant do the color? Because every ethnicity that worn this color looks good in it. I gave her several pictures. And if she could make my hair turn out like anyone of the pics I showed her, I wouldve appreciated. But my hair didnt come out like anything I showed her. My hair looked so ratchet! And she didnt even style or blow dry it for me! Worst salon ever.

My experience with Sal at Suede was the best. He took so much time explaining to me what and why he was going to cut my hair the way that he did. He did an absolute excellent job. He is a true artist. He looks at your face and the shape of your head and cuts accordingly. I could not be happier.

I have been having my hair cut and colored at Suede for 2 years, at this point. Its been such a positive experience, overall, that I feel its necessary to sing their praises online. There is a positive energy and a commitment to creative excellence unlike anything Ive found in South Jersey since moving to the area in 2006. For color, I recommend with GREAT ENTHUSIASM: Dina Rae Patane. For a fabulous cut and wonderful experience getting the cut, you will have the best experience with Michael Sparks or Sal Patane. They are both wildly professional and highly skilled. Another stylist Ive not had cut my hair that I would love to try - the people who get up from her chair look stunning - is Susan...so creative and talented. Frankly, there might just be more talented under the roof of Suede than all salons in this area combined. Ha! Yes, they are that good, and it is that high quality of an experience - comfortable excellence is the best way I could describe. It is boisterous so if you are looking for a relaxing atmosphere, you will not find it at Suede. They do have a small spa area with rooms for massage/facial/wax, though the pedicure area is attached and tends to be noisy. Their spa services seem to be sufficient but by far, hair cut/color is what they do best.

Heather Nieves is the best colorist! Theres hardly a day that goes by that people dont stop me and compliment me on my color. Cant say enough about Heather. Shes great!

The best experience! I love my haircut!

I went in as a brunette and wanted to go gray. Not being a professional I didn’t know what it would take to get there so I trusted that Tori (being a professional) would be clear but she wasn’t. Instead I left with a 380 dollar bill for “color correction” and NOTHING like what I wanted. To top it off within two weeks my hair was all kinds of colors and brassy and thinned our due to breakage. It was a nightmare. Going to another salon (and someone who knew her well) I found out that wanting to go gray from brown should have been done in stages to maintain the integrity of my hair and that she charged me for something I didn’t actually have done. Personally if a colorist can’t have the conversation with me about what it takes to get what i want and then proceeds to literally KILL hair AND overcharge me?! You deserve to have your name put out there as a warning to others. Worst experience I’ve EVER had in a salon and my hair is feeling it.

First time at this salon yesterday, I followed Sophia from Moxie Blue which i absolutely love Sophia and her talent/professionalism ONE OF THE BEST i dont trust anyone with my hair but her, I’d follow her to the moon if she went!, and I absolutely loved the enviroment, cleanliness, friendly smiles and more at Suede, Delaney (if i spelled her name correctly, she was Sophia assistant for me, and she is so kind, “she got rid of my headache when washing my hair 😂 big plus, she said “i got you girl”) Overall 5 stars, Once again shout out to Sophia!!! 💓💓

Suede Salon had my face as advertisement for a makeup segment on Fox 29 News. My face was on their social media promoting the segment. I happened to find out when the news channel posted my image as a teaser for the live segment. The artist Danielle attempted to replicate the look on the live news segment. Never did I give any consent (written or verbal) for Suede Salon to post my cropped water marked image on their Instagram to promote anything let alone for them to have my face on the news. My face is the face of my business. I’ve never even heard of this salon until they were on the news promoting. I researched them online afterwards and found my face on their social media. They immediately blocked me after I commented about my face and work being used.

I have been getting my hair cut here for years and have always had friendly service and great results!
