Waited 8 weeks to be connected to a therapist and then decided to drop them. Had an initial appt/eval around the fourth week mark and nothing came of it. They are intentionally difficult to reach. The phone is never picked up if you call, and then they will call back days to a week later from a blocked number. Sometimes you are the “fourth caller in line” and then you end up waiting for a voice mailbox. Went to a physical location in woodbury and the receptionist was no help. CFG was extremely inefficient, incredibly frustrating, and will not deliver. Regardless of patient loads during a pandemic, communication failure and intentional road blocking is unacceptable.
I am a patient of Dr. Lee and have no complaints about him. However, their front desk staff is subpar. If you need a prescription filled, good luck. The staff is very unhelpful and they make you feel like nuisance. If they returned phone calls and did their job in a timely manner they probably wouldn’t have so many people calling annoyed.
1: good luck getting anyone on the phone. Every single time I call I either get placed immediately on hold and LEFT THERE or they simply don’t answer. I actually drove to the office once with my phone still on hold, walked in and the two receptionists were sitting there chatting with each other until I showed them my phone STILL ON HOLD. There’s simply no excuse.2: we had a no-show charge on our account that our provider said would be handled because it wasn’t our fault (power outage so no phone service for our telehealth appt). I received a bill, called the billing dept and was told it would be handled. Received another bill, called billing again and was told it would be handled. Received a third bill and when I called I was told it had been sent to collections! At that point I went off and it was finally handled by the billing dept manager but seriously?? Three times I called to resolve it plus the provider said it was cleared, but the office sent it to collections.3: the prescribers are on a revolving door. Every time my daughter gets one we receive notice that they’re leaving the practice within a few months, and she has to start talking to a new one. Zero continuity of care, she has to go thru the whole intake process again. We finally started going elsewhere for her prescription. All that being said - Linda Glassman is a GEM of a provider. Phenomenal rapport with my daughter and has been so incredibly helpful. It’s just a shame that the rest of the practice is an absolute disaster. I wish Linda worked thru a different practice because having to do anything at all thru anyone other than her is a nightmare. Seriously look at your options before coming here unless you enjoy a nonstop hassle.By the way this review is being written immediately after I called to reschedule an appt, they answered, placed me on hold and just left me there until I finally hung up and contacted Linda directly, which I shouldn’t have to do and to be honest neither should Linda - it’s not part of her job, that’s why they have receptionists. I’m not kidding when I say calling the front desk is USELESS.
I am paying my bill online for a missed appointment. and i realize, you can literally type any numbers in the account number and email address box, and they will still accept payments (see attached photo). this shows that they dont care who is paying for what bill thats due from a specific client. theyll just take any money they can.my experience alone with them was bad by itself (from the receptionist to the doctor), and the way they handle payments shows how little they care about their clients.
My son and I both are patients there. Our therapists are good, no complaints there but the management is horrible. My son missed his appointment because I being the parent had covid19 and was very sick and missed his appointment. I called and left a message three times to try and explain the situation. 3 times I called and told them my son is down to a weeks supply of medicine and front desk told me I couldnt make an appointment or get a refill until I paid the miss appointment. All I want to do is explain the situation and try to get that free erased. I still havent received a phone call back. I guess they care more about their money than the actual patients. Even if they wont wave the fee I would understand but to not even return a phone call to their patients tells me they dont give a damn about us.
Everyone here was nice enough, however, I did not feel as though I gained any guidance! My therapist would reply to my situations by saying, Wow, that seems frustrating, or yes, that is very difficult. I never received any sort of guidance and left every appointment feeling as disparaged as when I came it. I found much better guidance elsewhere.
The receptionist wasnt helpful. i called on two different occasions in regards to submitting my registration forms. she said i can do it online, but she said she doesnt handle that work and transferred me to a voicemail twice. i also asked if i can fill out the forms in the office, and she said i cant 🙄, so i figured, i just print out the forms myself in the UPS Store... i filled it out and drove down the office to hand them in, and as i walk in, there, sits a huge office printer at the receptions desk. the indian? lady (that i didnt speak to on the phone) had dealt with me, and she was so much more helpful. i cant determine the overall quality of the sessions, since every provider is different, but with my experience, i decided to reach out to a different doctor after my first telemedicine.
First appt today. Very worriedafter reading reviews and sitting on hold for 48 mins for someone to make my appt. Unfortunately this is my only hope for my son. I’ll update after appt. 🤞
I forgot about my appointment. but they never contacted me to remind me for my appointment. it was set for 3 weeks prior, so im sure they expected me to forget so they can get their free $$ . i shouldve known by how the doctor barely asked me questions during my first appointment, and just wanted to get straight to the prescription - which made me feel worse. the doctor also ended the session way before the appointment was set for. we still had 20 minutes left, and she didnt give me any feedback or assistance.with this many poor reviews, you expect them to at least respond to these reviews
I think the majority of my 6 years has been positive, I have paid and not once have I complained. Till today, Now I am fighting a no show charge when I was in the office wearing a mask. They were not empathetic or helpful in setting up an app. I need more than 5 minutes leeway. If you are not tech oriented in the time of covid, find somewhere with compassionate people.
Im not sure why this has such a low rating, ive been going here for 6years and love the hospitality personally. Very helpful doctors inside.
NP Norbert is disgustingly condescending, arrogant, and disrespectful. Theres a reason this place has so many awful reviews. Look elsewhere for quality service.
My son’s appointment got cancellation by the office at last minute last week. So I called to confirm his appointment tomorrow, no mater how many times I called I could not get through to the receptionist! So I stopped by the office to confirm the appointment! It was so annoyed that I had to record all the conversation on my phone! Yes, finally they confirmed the appointment! But when I wanted to know if my son’s lab result (he got done at labcorp 2 weeks before) was in the office yet to ready to discuss at the appointment tomorrow! Nobody can answer that question!Believe it or not this is not the first time I had issues with this office. Please consider before you want to make an appointment here! They’re so busy that they can’t take care of their patients! So I’m seriously thinking of reporting this office, I just don’t want more victims like me.I realized that there’re a lot of complaints and bad reviews about this office here also!
I have never been happier with the staff always helpful and most of all the doctors there. They treat you like a person not a file in front of them.
Ive been going here for a few years and its not as bad as people are saying. The front desk staff are always very friendly and helpful. When it comes to the therapist and doctors, some are great and others arent so great. Most of the bad reviews are about staff that is no longer there. My therapists and doctors have been nothing but helpful, to say the least. If you go here and you dont like your therapist, just switch to a different one. Not everybody is going to have an awesome therapist on the first try. You have to find the right one for you. So all in all, I highly recommend Center for Family Guidance.
Don’t waste your time with this practice. In less than a year my child’s doctor has changed 3 times because the doctors keep leaving the practice. Called for over a week to get my sons meds refilled. No one would answer the calls - just goes to voicemail and no one calls you back. Many of these medicines are time sensitive which can possibly effect the patient if not given on a schedule.Monday (yesterday) I was charged a late fee even though the appt was made Friday at 4:25pm. I will keep out names. This was after getting the run around because no one could tell me who my sons new doctor would be I called for the Marlton office yet the person who answered the phone only handles the Westampton office and she had no idea what was going on in Marlton. She told me to keep dialing the number and someone from Marlton would pick up. After multiple attempts I finally got someone from Marlton to answer the phone. In speaking with the lady who handles scheduling for Marlton I was told there was plenty availability on Monday. So we scheduled my sons appt. I did tell her I would need to verify my son did not have any other commitments that afternoon. She told me if he was not available to call them back on Monday and they would reschedule the appt. Mind you the whole time I’m talking to this lady the ice cream man is playing outside her house and her kids were begging for ice cream. I was even polite and asked her if she needed to put me on hold so she could take care of the kids the ice cream man. She told me that was not necessary that her husband was home and he would take care of them. We ended our call on what I thought was a good noteSo.....Monday I started calling the office at 10am to reschedule the appt. I called 11 times. Each time I went through the hold music only to be dumped into voicemail. I finally got a call back at 2:30 telling me that I owed them the $80 cancellation fee because I did not give them 48 hours notice. Yet the lady from Friday afternoon told me to call on Monday if the time did not work with my sons schedule. Within one minute of getting the voicemail I called back. This time I called back 9 times trying to talk to someone and got voicemail every time. Monday night around 6:30pm my calls from 2:30 were finally responded too. Here is the best part the lady told me she had talked to the receptionist fromFriday and as well as a supervisor and I was lying to them. I was never told I could call on Monday to change the appointment. Maybe if she was not so focused on the ice cream man and her kids screaming in the background she would remember our conversation. Don’t get me wrong I’m all for working from home but you can’t allow your home life to dictate your customer service. All I can say is stay away from this group unless you want to deal with additional stress!
I have been fighting a “missed appointment fee” for OVER A YEAR now. I can clearly remember canceling this appointment, yet they are still coming after me for $110. I wish I had read the reviews on this place before I started to go. Do not waste your time, and for the love of god if you need to cancel an appointment, make sure to record the phone call or they WILL turn it around on you, and charge you for a “missed appointment”. I’ve never experienced such awful service from a doctors office in my life. Also to add, after receiving another letter 13 months after I thought this issue had been resolved, I have been sitting on hold for 25 minutes. Please take you time and mental health needs elsewhere.
Thank you so much L.C. You’re the best !
The first person we saw here back in 2014/15 was not helpful for our family with almost always ya uhhuh responses to my questions. The reason I’m giving 5 stars is because my sons current psychologist is absolutely amazing. Her name is Nora. She has helped with so many issue with my son. She listens and provides constructive support and ideas for dealing with issues. We couldn’t ask for any one better!
Absolutely the worst experience I have had yet with therapy. My specific therapist was egotistical and very abrasive. I had to hear multiple times about her three masters degrees and how many patients she sees a day etc. I highly do not recommend Lynette especially if you have any sort of depressive disorder she will only trigger you with her mannerism. For instance she aggressively asked me why did you try and kill yourself which I have never done in my life but had she taken her time to talk to me she would have known that. If you are considering coming here I recommend you think twice.
Intake department returns my call 3 days later. The woman says how can we help you, you called US. Rather rudely. Well.... I called the INTAKE DEPT. Im clearly looking for a first appointment!? They also advertise that they take Aetna.... but they dont advertise that they DO NOT take medicaid. I was a patient here about 10 years ago and my NP was great but the rest of the office was always rude and unprofessional. When she retired I went to another clinic... thought Id try them again but apparently nothing has changed. Go somewhere else.
When you are desperate to find a psychiatrist to help your child, this is NOT the place to go. Our doctor didnt read one word of the long packet my son had to fill out before the appointment, we waited over 30 minutes to see the doctor and then my son told me while he was trying to explain his symptoms to the doctor, he was constantly interrupted by the doctors history test, and was then told, Im going to give you what I give all my patients! One medication for everyone?! I wish I had read the reviews first, would not have wasted our time and money.
Good doctors, bad Administrative Assistants. Administrative Assistants dont even get Fax machines. Even the doctors there call me by phone, because the Administrative Assistants are so awful. The doctors there dont rip you off, and give you refills, without forcing you to visit there every month.
Once you have a psychiatrists, appointments are usually easy to get if youve seen the doctor before. However, its a 2-3 month wait to see a different psychiatrist if you want to switch. But forget about your appointment times the day of. Ive waited over an hour just to see the doctor for about 5 minutes. The doctor I see always asks me what my name is and Ive had multiple situations where hes written my perscription wrong and I cant get it filled. This place is awful, but sadly its one of the few psychatrist offices in the area that take insurance so... go elsewhere if you can afford it. This place is awful.
Dr Spector is the best ! He treats you like family . The staff is always so friendly also !
Horrible expletive at this office. They are out to make money and not help patients. We will absolutely be switching providers for our son. Took over 2 weeks to get a refill on a prescription. Horrible attitudes by the staff. Adding charges on account for no show appointments which were actually canceled. Will be reporting this office to higher levels of medical management.
First and foremost, my therapist and doctor are fantastic. This review is directed toward there billing for missed appointments. They charged me for an appointment that I missed, although they have cancelled several of mine with barely any notice. It’s amzaing that they are more concerned about getting there money than treating the patient.
This place is more concerned with payment that your welfare. Missed appointment fees are riduculous. A single working mother of three, I have enough trouble already trying to juggle my work schedule and my kids appointment schedules. I miss an apointment and Im crucified with 110.00 bill. And my time with the dr is about 10 minutes. Not worth it. I recall being on time for an appointment and the Dr never coming out and I sat there for almost an hour. Should have charged them for my time... Im going to have to go elsewhere, I cant take stress of missed appointment billings. There are plenty of other places that will treat you like a patient, not a customer. Go elsewhere.
I have also waited an hr for a 4 min. visit. worst than that. I am now waiting. over 5 months. for a Doctor. to see me. What is wrong with our mental health.
Im shocked by the negative reviews. Ive been a patient since early 2014, when I developed an anxiety disorder while my son had leukemia. They have helped me so much! My psychiatrist retired recently, but Im still seeing a nice, helpful therapist. The treatment I received helped me stop vomiting and fainting at my sons appointments so I was able to focus completely on him. I dont know what I would have done without CFG.
Its ridiculous that I have to pay $110 for missing an appointment. They dont call you to remind you of the appointment or anything. They call you the moment you miss your appointment with the doctor, claiming that their time is valuable.Every single appointment I had with my psychiatrist is just me sitting down on a couch for 10 minutes saying everythings the same (my meds have been consistent for almost six years), and waiting to get my prescriptions. Thats not worth $110.Im going somewhere that doesnt think of me as a customer from now on.
Nice, clean environment. Ladies at the front are nice. My therapist is good at focusing on what I need to accomplish.
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!! I went there for help with an anxiety disorder (panic attacks) and the nurse practitioner Lauren took me off of the medication that I was taking for three years and working perfectly fine and put me on pain medication. She told me that it would help and I was excited to be able to get off of what I was on. After taking the medication for three days I felt so dizzy and lightheaded I had to call off of work. I then called and asked for her and after four days I had enough so I called back and was actually kind of rude considering the fact that they are there to help us and I felt like I was abandoned. Bottom line to this story is she never called me back somebody else did from the office and told me that this place was not gonna work for me and Told me to go somewhere else. What kind of place do you go to for help and then when they prescribe you something that doesn’t agree with you tells you to go somewhere else? Please and I repeat please do not go to this place Because they will not be the type of place to monitor you to see how you’re doing on the medication.
The entire staff is Caring and professional and understanding at all times. My therapist is so awesome I truly love and appreciate her and I have came along way because of her.
As a pharmacist trying to get through with the doctor to verify a severe interaction between two medicines for a patient and no one ever responded. Phone number on the prescription doesnt even work. Had to Google the place and operator kept transferring to other lines.
Rather unprofessional having family members behind the counter, as well as a distraction. Making change is a process which makes one feel paying in cash is wrong. Then when a therapist wants to see you theres nothing available for weeks after the suggested date by the therapist. Im finding the definition of a little behin is over a half hour wait, time of which could have been spent at work. Theres a lot of kinks to work out. Most of the front desk ladies are nice though.
This place is a waste of time and money and they dont care about patients, only money. The drug prescribing glazed over zombie named Lisa was disconnected and uninformative. She didnt inform me that my daughter had stopped taking meds 2 weeks prior, she became sick and had a breakdown and I had no idea why. There were money issues as well and hard to find a consistent therapist. I know others who had horrible issues there as well. Its like an assembly line. They dont care.
I called and informed the front desk that my son would be out of medication within the next day or two. Our whole schedule has been messed up since his doctor cut hours severely. We are out of balance with our appointment dates and scripts. I was informed that they would tell the doctor that it was urgent. He had testing and needed the extra dose at school for the afternoon. 5 days later, I sent a follow-up e-mail to the doctor. She responded fairly quickly (april 24th) and said she did send a script for it, but for the wrong dosage. I responded to her that day and questioned it because I specifically told them which dosage I needed. April 26th, I sent a follow up to that e-mail due to no response. April 27th I sent another follow-up. April 30th, I sent yet another follow-up and here I am 5/1 with nothing. The doctor has not contacted me back since April 24th. My original request was on 4/19 by phone. My son has gone without medication for almost two week now.
Worst in the WORLD PERIOD!! They failed to remove a duplicate appointment then charged me $110.00 missed appointment. They are rude, nasty verbally abusive GROSSLY UNPROFESSIONAL .I wonder if they do not read their reviews.I can relate to every negative thing written about them. They are the worst and today I was verbally berated by their employee ASHLEY YES I NAMED YOU.Angry because they put me and my Dr on hold at least 6 times and never comes back on the phone, and I asked not to be put onhold. OMG If you think you have problems...GO THIS GOD AWFUL PLACE ...THEN YOU WILL HAVE SERIOUS PROBLEMS FOR CERTAIN. I HAVE NEVER KNOWN ANYONE WHO SAID ANYTHING BUT BAD ABOUT THIS PLACE.
If I could give zero stars I would. I just had to have the Marlton NJ Police call to get someone to get back to me after calling every single day for 7 straight days. If you think you have mental health issues now, you can be sure the center for family guidance will make them worse.
This is the most arrogant and unprofessional group of Doctors I have ever met. This is the 2nd attempt at giving this office a chance. Sure enough, some things never change. First the doctor (Dr Barb) cancels her appointment with no other doctor willing to see my minor child who needs a refill of his medicine. The office finally agrees to write the script but I had to wait over an 1 hr for them to come out and tell me to come back tomorrow. The cancelled appointment gets rescheduled, but theyre just so busy they cant see my child for 3.5 weeks. We go to the appointment, and the doctor takes your money first, then proceeds with the appointment. Within minutes of the appointment, she tells us, oh by the way, I dont have my prescription pad with me so come to the office in 3 - 4 days Ill try to have your script ready then. In the meantime, my son is without his medication. So Dr Barb tells us, you seem unhappy about it, so maybe you should see a different provider. Now my minor child is without medication and care. They dont care about the patient, just your payment. This is the 2nd time I stopped going to this office after only 2 appointments. This office is for anyone who will coward to the doctors! Otherwise, find a small office that really cares about your care, not their big mortgage payments.
BEWARE THIS OFFICE CHARGERS $110 FOR A MISSED APPOINTMENT. WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING.
NEVER GO HERE PLEASE
