They can be your best friend in your time of need. Locally owned and operated. Real good people to call when you need road service.
I just witnessed a gvp tow guy trying to steal cars at countryside. He would have tried to ramp the car if I had not confronted him with a buddy. I find it hard to believe a company to be professional when they dont even know where they are going. What they are grabbing, and what that car looks like.
I really hate to leave a bad review, I can count the number of times I’ve done so on one hand. However, this was a truly terrible time for my boyfriend and I. We used AAA to try to get a tow. As my boyfriend was crossing the street to approach the tow driver, he drove away. He claims he called 3 times with no answer, however my boyfriend had been glued to his phone, not on any other calls and did not receive any voicemails from the company. Meanwhile he was getting calls from AAA just fine, so it wasn’t his phone not receiving calls that was the issue, and he double checked multiple times that he had given the correct number. When we called the towing company directly they basically told us too bad so sad. I understand mixups happen, but as a professional company it’s nice to try to remedy things. We weren’t expecting an instant magic fix, but no help was offered to us, nor was an apology. I cannot say I would recommend this company to anyone in need of reliable service.
I went during business hours and no one was there. I called to ask if I could come back shortly after business hours because they shut down during the business hours I was there and he told me No you have to come during business hours. Horribly unprofessional
Predatory does not even begin to describe this business and its owner. embarrassing that the city of marlboro has a towing contract with them but if youre ever in an accident in marlboro DO NOT let this company tow your vehicle
Towed unregistered car (unregistered due to pandemic and no availability at DMV to make appointments) twice, refused to tow a third time and tried to ask for $100+ for the same free AAA service.
I have been using Lands towing service for my company for over 20 years and by far they are the most reliable and professional around. The Towing business is a tough business and they have stayed successful for a long long time! Keep up the good work! Rick Marino - Professional Automotive Service
The tow truck driver tried to get me to pay him extra cash for a towing my membership covered. I had to call for another tow truck driver. When you see low rating on a company there is a reason buyer beware
We broke down in MA and needed a tow to a repair shop. Lands came in the amount of time they said they would and charged what I thought was a fair price.
Wayne was sent for my AAA call. Arrived way faster than promised. It was 545 and tire shop was closing at 6pm. Because of his good relationship with them, they stayed late and took care of me. It was fast, fair ($30 repair vs. new tire) and i got to take my car home!
They arrived minutes after receiving my call. Now thats responsive! Excellent and thank you for helping me.
Land’s tow truck was at my car 10-12 minutes after I called AAA for a tow. The driver, Steve could have just hooked my car up and towed it away, but he tried to start it and actually got it working! Even the battery truck AAA had sent earlier couldn’t help me and didn’t really try. Great experience with Steve. He went above and beyond and saved me a lot of time and hassle!
These guys are AWESOME! They showed up in 10 minutes from the time I called! WOW! They were very pleasant to work with. I will use them again.
I had to have my daughters car towed last night at 7pm after she went off the road because the police came. I picked it up at 12 noon the following day and they charged me 2 days storage. It wasnt even there for 24 hours !! Technically it wasnt even there for 1 day! They charged 90 dollars for the tow, and charged additional 30 dollars for mileage, it was literally 3 miles from the pick up point to their shop.
I would not give this tow company even one star if it was possible. My husband was in an accident on 495 early this morning and the Mass State Police called Lands Towing of Marlboro Mass. we went to the tow company later in the morning and we were told that we could not retrieve personal items from his car until we paid $75.00. I called the state police and asked it this was legal and was informed that they had not heard of a policy like this. After telling the tow company this information they still insisted this was how it was. I then called the Marlboro Police Department and was old that if this was their policy then have them show you their policy in writing. Again they did not have the policy on hand it was in the locked owner office, but the state and local police had this policy on record. We needed the keys for another vehicle that were in the car that been towed so I hand d over my debit card and was then informed hat they only take cash. I was so angry by now that I wished I had the option to just leave but I needed the keys to my car. After getting the $75.00 in cash and handing it over to the tow driver we were then told that the keys were they only thing we could get from the car, we would need to come back if we wanted anything additional. What kind of business treats people like this???? I can not comprehend people being this cruel, we had been through enough today without the abuse. If possible the state police should stop using this company until they change their business practices.
Shout out to Keith I was stuck in a car wash he was amazing professional kind and knowledgeable made the ordeal less horrific in a huge way!!!!!
My vehicle got towed for no registration, not fair considering that the registry doesnt notify you but its still my fault. Lands had my vehicle for less than 72 hours and they charged me for four days ........... people like this deserve stage 4 cancer not little kids
Lane towing is by far the most ignorant and rude company. They like to take advantage of people and instead of providing even average customer service, they make things more difficult all to make extra money.Every business needs to make money but this towing company adds in ridiculous fees/ charges just to be shady company and then inflate costs above all towing companies because they have certain contracts in place. If you ever find yourself in the Marlboro, Northboro area, just know they have the AAA contract and if you call 911 they are the towing company that the State police generally calls too. As they are located to the major routes. The dispatch are rude, the tow truck drivers are rude and they are truly in the business of taking advantage of consumers.Try to avoid using this company if you’re able to.
I am not usually one to badmouth, but Lands is extremely unprofessional and incompetent. I can’t believe AAA associates themselves with these scam artists. I got a flat tire and didn’t have the right size lug wrench. The Lands Driver got there at the estimated time. However, he was extremely rude and aggressive. At that point I had the car jacked up for him. All he had to do was take the 5 bolts off and change the wheel. He couldn’t even do that. The new wheel was not tight and immediately shook the vehicle violently. I pulled over right away and called Lands. They proceeded to tell me the driver was no longer in the service area and I would have to call AAA and wait another hour plus. I limped off the highway and found a store to buy a wrench. A monkey could do better work than these idiots!
They were courteous and professional. Seen many bad reviews but I honestly had no problem here.
They are horrible. I called AAA and Lands is the ones for my area. They are completely unprofessional. Its Christmas Eve and not even then can they have a little consideration. I waited in the cold with my 1yo for a while waiting for them. Called to ask where they were and the dispatcher says they couldnt locate my car and were driving around for 10 mins. Complete BULL!!
Stay Away!!! They are the worse service. Very unprofessional and rude... and are not affiliated with trpl AAA.. very expensive i honestly believe the scam people.
My car broke down so I called AAA for a tow. I gave AAA all of my information including my towing destination of approximately 50 miles. Lands towing showed up about an hour after the call. The tow truck driver asked where I was getting it towed to and I told him. He called his dispatcher for a confirmation, the dispatcher then told the truck driver to refuse the tow. I argued that I had told AAA that it would be a 50 mile tow and that I have no other means of getting home, they still refused the tow. I called AAA about what had just happened, AAA then called Lands towing to try to figure what happened. Lands towing told AAA that they did not refuse the call but had several small calls to tend to before they could tow me. So, not only did they leave me stranded but they also lied to AAA because the dispatcher told the driver that he had called AAA to cancel the tow. I would never recommend this service company to anyone.
In 45 years of driving and several interactions with tow companies this has to be the absolute worst bottom of the pit company.Motor vehicle accident on 495 southbound. I was rearended in traffic by a motorhome. We make our way over to well within the breakdown lane despite the motor home being hooked on my bumper. The accident is reported to SP. SP dispatch this lands end rip-off company tow service. I ask the guy to winch me off the motorhome. He says no this car is now mine, Im taking it to the impound lot I explain that the car is drivable, tail, turn and stop lights work and that I did not request a tow. Its a rental and I already spoke to rental company. The guy says and I quote If this is a rental I am definitely taking it. I politely tell him he is not taking it to an impound lot. He threatens me with arrest if I dont comply. I tell him we will see about that once the SP get there. At this point he places his truck in front of my vehicle to block my car and starts to hook it up. I stand in front of the car and block him. He tells me to get out of the way, I say no. His boss in a 2nd truck pulls up and tells me to stand aside. I politely say no and that we will settle this when the SP arrive. He calls me a F#u(king pain in the ass. State police arrive, assesses the situation and tells the tow driver to pull me away from the motorhome and stop harassing me. Tow company charges me $100 to winch me 5 ft away from motorhome ( roadside assistance ) Me and the police drive off highway to complete paperwork. The Tow drivers were not happy they lost the tow and impound fees. These guys are vultures looking to scam anyone in a vulnerable situation. I am posting this review wherever I can. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
PLEASE EVERYONE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!This company is so bad I need to write this. They towed my truck with the wrong kind of tow truck and almost ripped the bumper off my truck. When I confronted the drive about this he ditched my truck in the middle of the road and drove away. I tried to chase him on foot but he blew through a stop sign of a wicked busy intersection nearly getting t boned by two cars. What kind of guy would do something like this.
The guy who helped us out today was our hero!
I called AAA because I need to tow my car to the mechanic and AAA told Land’s towing should be there in 30 min... 3 hours goes by and Lands’s towing keep telling AAA another 10 min... finally AAA call another tow company in Hudson and in 30 min they were right at my door! Please STAY way from Land’s towing...
Wayne came to my house through AAA. I explained to AAA that I needed a new battery. They took my information and stated they would send someone out to take care of it. Wayne showed up here telling me it was to fing cold to be changing batteries today. They dont change fing batteries on Sunday and I should have it towed by someone as he is sitting in a tow truck. I am sorry, no woman deserves to be spoken to or treated that way. Stay away from this business. Absolutely disgusted.
Awful. They ruined my vehicles electric system when they towed it. Takes brains to shut the hazards off or put vehicle in park to get the key out. Common sense for most yet not for a tow truck driver apparently. Idiots
Crashed my car in a snow storm and they towed my car. I was told they were closing soon so they couldn’t take me back to the tow place with my car, so I got dropped off close by. The next day, I found that all the valuables had been stolen from my car.
Typical hole in wall repo towing guys in cubicle size office all dirty reading magazines. Took hours to get towed from there to a garage 13 miles away paid in cash..
Car turned off down the street from their location at around 3:30 am it took them 2 hrs to get there. Not reliable at all. Tow truck drivers are probably sleeping.
Shady operation, surprise fees. Dont trust them and get receipts.
Employee are not pleasant.
I’m a property manager and deal with towing companies all the time. This one’s the worst by far.
When my car was towed there the remote starter was stolen from my car
Driver was swerving on the freeway and almost hit my 65 year old mother by trying to change lanes in heavy traffic. Not to mention its law on the mass pike that trucks stay out of the left lane.
Great Service
Tow truck driver is extremely rude, didnt even pull his truck up in the driveway, didnt even get out of his truck to talk to me...I didnt like him at all.
Its a tow truck company.
Some loser Wayne told me they never towed my car but the did last Thursday and they stole my flash drive there scumbags I would never recommend or use there services ever again thanks for all the help and attitude Wayne you suck
