This is the worst company on the planet do not do any business with these people they put all of my items out on the street illegally and left my animal inside of the home
I have been dealing with Plantation Realty & Management since 2013. From day 1 its been smooth sailing. Rick and Myles have been on point with getting long term tenants in when needed. I never had to wait more than 2 weeks for them to get new tenants in. And yes I only had 2 tenants since I started using Plantation Realty. They are professionals when it comes to Real Estate and Leasing. I strongly recommend Plantation Realty & Management for all your Real estate and Leasing needs.
Ive been going to PRM for help with my rental property since 2012. Initially it was to take advantage of their expertise with what is perhaps the most intimidating aspect of being a landlord; vetting potential tenants. But since then theyve been my go-to for a number of issues, and theyve never let me down.Ive often considered how lucky Ive been with superb tenants, but really it hasnt been luck at all.
It should be criminal what this company can get away with! Damaged home, late payments, breach of contract are what you can expect.I hired PRM (Rick Farish) to handle the renting of my house in Kennesaw. He is definitely a slick salesman. He met my husband and I and gave us a list of things to do to get a certain rental amount for the house. We did everything on the list yet he never was able to get us that full amount.Renter #1He told me he found someone with great credit to rent. From the onset I was routinely paid late with no explanation other than saying they had accounting problems. After 8 months she stopped paying completely. When I didnt get my check, I called (first no response, then notification mailbox was full). Had no choice but to call the renter after more than 3 weeks passed. She said she just didnt have the money to pay and had to break the lease. She admitted that PRM / Rick Farish allowed her to pay late often and NEVER COLLECTED A LATE FEE. When I finally got the property mgt company on the phone they scolded me for calling her and said because of that I would not get to keep her deposit. He told my husband verbally over the phone that he did feel bad about putting a deadbeat in my house and would NOT collect the first months rent of new tenant. That was a lie. When I questioned him about it he said I would never say that. I have to make money.Tenant #2As the second tenants lease was coming to an end, I questioned Rick Farish about if they would renew. His response to me via text? Based on my conversation we are good to go for another year. Sure enough, the tenant had decided to move and was allowed by PRM / Rick Farish to remain in my home an additional month with NO CONTRACT in place. Not only did this leave me in a bad situation, but the timing couldnt have been worse going into December to try and rent out my house. That wasnt the worst of it. They got a dog who badly scratched and ruined the hardwood flooring in the house. Of course the renters denied it, saying that the floors were already like that. What did Rick do? Just shrugged his shoulders and said he lost all the pre move in pictures so he had no proof. I would have to give them the deposit back.Ask yourself if this is the kind of company you want to deal with.
Great Management Company & Realtor!!!!!This firm has managed my home for several years handling all the tenants, maintenance orders and all the drama that goes with renting out your property. This team gets it done-not once have I had a tenant call me directly with a complaint about Plantation Realty & Management. When it was time to sell Rick took care of all the paperwork fast and explained everything before it happened-we closed quickly. i personally have told two of my best friends that are considering renting there homes to you use this team!
I am writing this after 4 months of awaiting a complaint through the BBB of Atlanta with no response from PRM. Before I begin, I want to mention that the team at PRM was easy to work with during the rental process. The issues I have are with Rick and his laziness during the selling process of my Family’s home. The issue I had with this company is the sale of my mother’s home. When the time came to sell our property that was managed under Rick Farish and his team, the beginning stages were mediocre at best. The house was listed at a fair market price but any updates we received on showings and interests were all reactive information to us reaching out and asking Rick. Once we found a buyer, the nightmare began. There was a multitude of items that needed to be addressed before we were able to sell the home. A number of items that probably should of been brought up by a rental management company since the house was under their care for a few years before selling. Roughly $15,000 in repairs were needed to sell the home. But we coughed that up to the home being older.Rick had to schedule a few minor repairs before we could move on with the closing. Yet he fell short. Perhaps selling a home is not their skill set. He was extremely hard to get a hold of. Did not respond to text messages or emails. It was so difficult to reach Rick that the buyers agent had to reach out to me...the seller.... in order to get things moved along.I had to contact Rick a few times in order to get the status on items that needed attention. Eventually I ended up scheduling things myself. After all of this was done, we tried to renegotiate the commission for Rick. After I emailed him and received no response, we had to reach out to him via phone. In where we just agreed to let his commission remain the same, as he did list the house and still needed to attend closing. You would think that almost having to renegotiate commission would of been a wake up. It wasn’t. He still fell short on the one repair he had to schedule....The quality of work was about what my 10 year old could have done with some glue and extra vinyl titles. Yet we gave the benefit of the doubt and payed hundreds of dollars for it.Regardless, all he had left to do after I had organized everything( to include documents sent from the buyers agent directly to us, skipping Rick due to no response) was to show up to the closing.....yet he didn’t. Excuse after excuse came from him. He is not fit to sell someone’s home. And honestly, after the state of repair the home was left in during the rental process, I’m surprised he’s still managing properties. The buyers agent actually let me know he thought the house was a foreclosure.....a home that sold for nearly 350K.We essentially payed Rick 3% to list our house and ignore emails and phone calls.Save yourselves the heartache of having to sell your own home and go with another company or a realtor that knows how to communicate....Because the amount of effort he put into selling my Mothers home was subpar....at best.Edit: Because I can’t reply to a reply, I’m adding this information in. The house closing was delayed because we had to repair work done by PRMs contractors. That would of been evident if someone decided to show up and represent my family at closing.
Great group of guys. I lived at a property managed by them and had a great experience. They are friendly and professional. Myles was especially great at following up when there was an issue to make sure that it was resolved.
Rick has managed the rental of my house for over 6 years. He always get great well qualified tenants and takes care of any issues quickly. I would highly recommend this management company!
Working with Rick and his team has been an absolute pleasure. He has managed a property that we have been in for over 5 years now. Their online payment system is simple to use and just requires a few clicks each month to submit rent payment. Any maintenance that is required is also done through their online system and is usually addressed the same day if not within a few hours. Overall I couldnt be happier with Rick and highly recommend him and his company.
I love working with Rick. Hes so easy going and very knowledgeable with rental property. He treats his tenants right! He takes great great care of his homeowners and always puts them before his company. He has a great IT guy working for him that set up e-Sign contracts that makes doing business with Rick so simple! I would recommend Plantation Realty and Management to anybody!
We connected with Rick on a rental property. He was flexible, easy to work with and most important excellent at getting a renter and managing the property. When it came time to sell the property, Rick and PRM was the ticket for us. His contacts proved to get us some great contactors to get the property in tip-top shape. We sold the property in a week and the entire transaction was a breeze. Would surely use him again.
Rick handled renting my house and expediting all the paperwork smoothly. Excellent tenant and very happy with things! Thank you Rick!
I cannot say enough about this rental company, from thier prompt and professional response to maintenance issues to how nice and well kept thier propertys are. Theyre agents are all courteous and friendly, just a great company all around!! has been an absolute pleasure doing business with them!
Ive been very happy with Rick and the PRM team. They communicate with me when needed but dont over-communicate about unnecessary/trivial items. They have a team of contractors and handy-men that keep property maintenance fees reasonable for landlords like me.
They took $200 out of my deposit for a carpet cleaning fee that was not in the lease and the carpet had the stains in it before we moved in. We moved out 4 months ago and still havent even received a call back from them even though we call them every month. Apparently theyre just a low level hack firm, stealing what they can. We would not recommend them to anyone wanting to rent with them.
Rick was an excellent agent/manager. Sometimes people have the impression that property management companies can be impersonal or insensitive, but thanks to Rick, Plantation was not one of these companies. Rick did his best to answer my questions and to make my experience as a renter as stress-free as possible.
We have worked with Rick and his team for over 5 years. Rick and his team were always available and responsive to any issues that arose. Choosing PRM to manage our property was a great decision.
One of the main reasons I like Plantation Realty & Management is that they get results. I had someone else trying to rent my place for 4 months with no possibilities. I went with Plantation and they had my place rented within two-weeks. I haven’t had any issues with the tenant or with Plantation Realty. All of my dealings have been over the phone because I live 1,200 miles away from this home. I don’t have any major or minor complaints just little aggravations that go with renting a house. I would recommend Plantation Realty and Management to family and friends.Justin Stutzman
