When I originally began counseling at Trust and Truth, I was unexpected of what was to come. Not only was I lead to Jesus, but it also has changed the entire dynamic of my family. Patrick has a love for God that I have never seen before and humility to speak and teach His truth. As a single mother, I couldn’t have asked for a better source of depth in the word and guidance through so many diverse obstacles that have come about in the past year and a half. I highly recommend Patrick for anyone in any situation, as I have to my own family.

I cannot recommend this man too highly. I have seen several therapists and counselors over many years and have gotten good things from each one of them. But Patrick is truly different. From the first time we talked on the phone I felt his spiritual depth and personal goodness. He is quick to downplay the second part of that formula, giving all the glory to the Lord, but I want to tell you--he has special qualities. Is it because hes been through a lot of tough things himself? Is it because he lives such a truly Christian life--complete with all the difficulties? I dont know and I cant say. But I urge you to try his work--youll be so pleased.

He is a very wise and helpful man, who has helped me so much in the time that I have been counseled. He is very well versed in the word and will use it as a teaching tool to help you understand what God says in it. He has also helped me understand what the lord is telling me in my life. I went to Patrick for counseling due to some severe anxiety issues I was having. He takes a different but effective approach and really challenges you. Patrick emphasizes we must walk out our faith through relationship with Jesus to truly overcome any obstacle.During the sessions, he presented foundational themes from the Bible in ways I never saw. He also is a great listener and incorporates scripture into everything. After each meeting, I left being more equipped to face my anxiety and fear.I have learned a lot from Patrick, grown in my walk with Jesus, and learned lifelong lessons. Our experience with Patrick was great! Counseling can seem very uncomfortable but Patrick is very gracious and patient and made us feel at ease with the very difficult process our family is dealing with. We are very grateful for choosing Trust and Truth!

Patrick has excellent counseling skills and is low key and non threatening in his approach. He has functioned in many arenas including, youth prison ministry, young family counseling, marital counseling and has demonstrated in his own family his ability to function as husband, father and friend. These are skills seldom see in today’s culture and not often excelled in even if visible. His discernment and conflict resolution skills are phenomenal as well. A plus plus.

Trust and Truth counseling has made an insurmountable change in my life, and in my family’s. I have seen many counselors over the years, and I’ve had much success with all of them. There is a major difference though with Patrick’s work through God‘s message that I didn’t receive with other counselors. For most of my life I have struggled with religion and finding a way back to God. I was very reluctant to see a counselor that was Christian-based, but I had heard through many friends about Patrick’s counseling that he did such amazing work. My family had just started to see him in the previous months, and I have seen a difference in my parents that I thought I would never see. My wife and I hit a rough patch in our marriage Recently. Actually thats a huge understatement....it was catastrophic, and officially over. She had moved out and I had moved on.As people of faith we knew divorce was against biblical commandment, and for two years tried many methods for keeping the marriage intact. All to no avail. We finally decided to end it amicably, and go our separate ways. We stumbled across the practice after a brief online search, and decided to take a leap of faith by contacting T&T for help. After a brief email correspondence, a date and time was set for our first appointment. Then the bottom dropped out....Almost immediately we came under attack from the enemy. A devastating exchange occurred, where I was left resolved and my wife inconsolable. From a hardened heart, I just wanted her gone. Before she left I asked for her hand, and we prayed fervently for deliverance. We decided to contact Patrick to see if somehow he could move up our appointment, as we needed intercession ASAP. Patrick came to the rescue of our marriage just in the nick of time. He asked if we would be available for a call that evening, and we were surprised and gladly accepted. That night a miracle happened. Patrick called, and through speakerphone he delivered a moving prayer that brought Christs peace with an impact like Ive never seen. Gods message was right on point, and truly the peace that surpasses all understanding came over us like a warm blanket.We followed up with a Saturday appointment, and Patrick cut right to the heart of the matter. We did not backtrack, cover trivial issues, or play the blame game. He went straight into the belief system at the source of the conflict, and called out the enemys tactics. We came out of the first appointment with a renewed spirit, filled with hope and love for each other and a deeper commitment to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.Patrick truly is doing the Lords work. Trust me on this, I am a hard person to convince and this is an unabashed testimony from two people who had completely given up on our marriage. Today we are walking in the spirit, in love and cherish our marriage like never before.Please, before you throw in the towel just give it one last shot. My husband and I recently passed our 28-year wedding anniversary. Though we have a wonderful family and life with two adult children; we were not a happy God filled couple. When I started seeing Patrick, I wasn’t looking for, or comfortable with, a faith-based therapy approach. He was happy to abide by that and didn’t make it uncomfortable. He helped me work through an extremely difficult period of time in my life with an open mind. My husband and I started counseling with Patrick last year after I was diagnosed with breast cancer. There were many avenues we could have chosen for cancer counseling, however, we chose Trust and Truth Christian Counseling because we felt we needed someone who would support our faith in God during this journey. I’ve had secular and Christian counseling before, but can honestly say nothing I have done previously has been as helpful or effective as what Patrick has been able to teach me. Cancer can be scary but, as God is walking me thru a time of physical healing, I am having as much if not more emotional and spiritual healing. Thru our counseling we are learning practical ways to deal with the bricks life can throw at you by studying God’s word and walking in faith. Patrick is a very relatable person. It is so evident that he truly cares about his patients. He has also been counseling our son and we have seen major changes in him as well. I truly believe our family coming to Trust and Truth Counseling was a divine appointment from God and I cannot express how grateful I am that we did.

About a year ago I was looking for a Christian counselor for a friend and Pat came highly recommend by another counselor. My friend has since moved and I decided to continue seeing Pat for myself. Pat is very knowledgeable in the word and biblical principles.

Ive never sought out counseling before but thought it would be good for my teenage son to help navigate the tough waters of dealing with an very unexpected divorce. I soon started seeing him for myself for all of the emotional issues I was dealing with as well. Patrick has been a true Godsend. Every single session has been nothing short of enlightening and extremely helpful. I (and my son) love how God/bible focused he is; and its evident that he truly cares about your wellbeing as hes gone out of his way to help well beyond the hours we pay for. He works with you based on where you are financially, he spends more time than allotted if able and is accessible by phone or email in addition to the scheduled time. My husband even saw him a couple of times when we were thinking of reconciling and he also had nothing but good things to say about Patrick, which is huge considering he has been very skeptical about counselors/therapists from a couple of bad experiences. Couldnt imagine having to go though this without his help and am truly grateful for his presence in my familys life during this time. I have passed on this contact information to several people by request. Cant recommend him enough.

We had been praying for a Godly therapist for my son for a long while before my husband and I found Patrick. I honestly had a long list of requirements in which the therapist would have to have in order to guide my son. We had had another counsellor for him before in which our son enjoyed going every week, but she had to move to another state and that is when our search began. Honestly, we could not have found a better person than Patrick!My son has Aspergers, he suffers from depression and anxiety and also has ADHD. Although he is a very sweet kid he can easily be negative at times, which makes things much harder and yet with all these obstacles Patrick speaks my son’s language. When we go home after a therapy session I can feel my child feeling lighter than before. And now that it has been a bit over 6 months since we started I can say that my son is getting less negative, his self steam is improving because he has better tools to help him throughout the day.The interesting thing for me was that before Patrick started therapy with our son he wanted to get to know my husband and I first. We had 3 sessions with him and they were phenomenal, and it makes sense because in order for therapy to be effective both parents and therapist will need to be on the same page. Now I did call other therapist before calling him, but none of them seemed to need or want any of my son’s background information. During those sessions we took notes, we prayed and we were getting equipped!Also, Patrick spends more time than the regular time that the session is suppose to be. He always asked us first though if that was ok to stay a bit longer on those days, and that is because he cares.We are truly blessed to have him helping us, we are blessed with his knowledge and we are blessed with his care.
