We worked with SouthCare when my wife passed away. Our contact was online because of the virus. They took care of everything in a professional manner. The people of SouthCare were wonderful to deal with. Every one of them was as nice as they could be. Every little detail was considered and brought to my attention. Most of this process was done over the phone and online. They were easily accessible and very courteous.

Thank you all for your kind and efficient service during this difficult time. I am so thankful we had done advanced planning with you and were able to let you take over when the need arose. The people at SouthCare Cremation were terrific starting with the initial call. They explained how everything worked clearly and were totally transparent about pricing and options. Pricing was one-quarter of what a cremation would have cost at a funeral home. They handled a lot of the bureaucratic things that I otherwise might have had to do myself (such as obtaining and mailing death certificates to me). It was comforting to know that everything was being handled so professionally at a really tough time for me.

The team that came out to our home was so kind and respectful. The members who helped us in facility were very patient and thorough. There was some confusion on our part about how the process worked but it was an overall good experience (considering the circumstances).

I was going to come on here and type a very detailed review about my experience from beginning to end....but I am tired!I will say that my husband died on 9.15.20 and I saw great reviews about this place but my experience as a wife that just lost her husband was horrible....something that any grieving person should not have to deal with especially at this time. Ashley was the absolute worst. It just seems like I was being punked at a damn funeral parlor.

SouthCare handled my fathers death in 2017, but when my brother died this March, we did not have the same customer service. Communication was sketchy, and compassion was weak.

Southcare handled my Dad’s cremation. What struck me was not only their professionalism and their dedication to doing things with dignity, but their assistance at a time when things are coming at you fast, and in your grief dealing with details is hard. Southcare’ steam worked with me personally and helped me with many of the little things I might have struggled to complete. Highly recommend the team and facility.

As is expected with sudden loss or loss in general, there is a lot to deal with. My mothers wishes were to be cremated as far back as my childhood. What initially drew me in was that the crematory was onsite. I didnt feel comfortable with it being elsewhere. The day I went in, I immediately felt comforted and knew it was the right place. I was talked through everything clearly and had nothing unnecessary pushed onto me. I opted to have the witness cremation and it was perfect considering the circumstances. I was able to kiss her once more and have a lock of hair removed to keep. I was able to watch her be placed in and begin the process directly in the area, and able to watch through a window once I couldnt stand anymore. The service itself was set up exactly as I wanted. There were no additional worries at all when it came to everything regarding her celebration of life. They made this a very easy and comforting experience from reception on down.

When my husband passed recently, I called SouthCare to let them know we were in need of their service. I was greeted with warmth and kindness and my husband’s remains were treated with respect and dignity. We asked if it was possible for them to play some special music during the cremation, and they said it was not a problem, they would be more than happy to do so. I highly recommend them for your family’s needs.

Southcare Cremation & Funeral Society took great care of my father once he arrived at the facility in mid July. My father paid for his cremation back in 1999; they were very helpful and respectful in handling his request. The entire staff were always willing to help with questions or advice. I live in the northeast and my deceased brother passed in EastPoint, GA. Ann with SouthCare was extremely helpful and considerate. Immediately she outlined the actions that had to be taken, she assured me that SouthCare would take care of everything in Atlanta and would ensure my brothers ashes were sent to his final resting in the family cemetery in the northeast. Ann and I spoke at least 5 to 10 over a month and every time she was gracious.

In January of 2008, my father passed away and we needed to find a funeral and cremation service. We decided upon Cremation Society of the South, and we were extremely happy with them. Fast forward to May 2020, and my 22 year old son passed away. We looked for the same company, but were redirected to SouthCare Funeral and Cremation Society. Apparently there was a purchase or merger, and I was concerned about whether or not I would find the same level of service. As it turns out, my worries were unwarranted. SouthCare did a fantastic job with arranging for my needs in caring for my son. Ashley McRay is the director of the Marietta location, and she communicated well with me, answered my questions, and was available when I called. The pricing was excellent, and all promised services were rendered. The only surprise throughout the process was that while I was working through the Marietta location, I was told a couple of days before the cremation that it would be done at the Alpharetta location. Im not sure why this change was done, but it really wasnt much of an inconvenience. The staff at Alpharetta was also excellent. The coroner of my county had ordered an autopsy, so I was very concerned about what to expect when viewing my son immediately before the cremation. Again, my concerns were unwarranted, as the staff at Alpharetta did a fine job and my son appeared very natural. Funerals and cremations are never a service we want to need, but if necessary in the future, I wont hesitate to call SouthCare.

June 10, 2020In April of this year I lost my 28-year-old son to the most horrific circumstances a parent could imagine. I was in shock, vulnerable, and never had to arrange for the final services for a loved one before in my life. I went online and read the reviews about Southcare. I also read how they described their history and their philosophy. Having written a lot of marketing material, I know how easy it is make yourself look good, but I also know when writing rings true.From my first phone call to my most recent, the Southcare staff has been empathetic, professional, and a pleasure to deal with. Without exception, every one of their employees has treated me with kindness, respect, and patience at a time when I needed them most. I really appreciate all that they did for my son and my family. I think the greatest compliment to an employee is saying that if I had a business of my own, I would hire that person. Tremaine was very thoughtful and patient with our family. I have had my aunt, uncle, father and mother all cremated by SouthCare. Tremaine helped us get what we needed and at a great price. He did not try to sell us more than what we needed, but politely asked us what we wanted and made it happen. When we called back with multiple questions, he was very helpful and answered all of them. He made sure that we had all the paperwork that we need to travel with. Robin, the receptionist, was very courteous and helpful as well.

Being able to assist my aunt by going online to complete ALL of the cremation arrangements was a huge burden lifted during a difficult time. When my brother died, we found he had no burial plans. We were not familiar with the Marietta area either. A minister at the hospital gave us a list of places to call. My husband made several calls & was fortunate enough to reach Christine at SouthCare Cemation. At a time when we hadnt a clue what to do, Christine was very patient & understanding with us. She answered all our questions & concerns. The pick up of my brother & the handling of his remains were handled quickly & efficiently. The pricing was less than we found at other places, but in our opinion we didnt sacrifice good service for better or less price.

SouthCare Funeral Home and Tremaine Jordan gave my family Out standing service for the care of mt deceased mother. Mr Jordan esp. and his co-workers went out of their way to take care of my family and the preparation and care of my mothers funeral. My mom pasted on a Saturday which can be a difficult time to get services. The staff of SouthCare and Mr. Jordan were there for our family.My mother was taken care of at your location, taken to to the Airport, all arrangements were taken care of by Mr. Jordan, and he stayed with the body until the flight left. The funeral Director in Mississippi had nothing but praise for SouthCare Funeral Home and Mr. Jordan that saw everything, from start to finish.

I was referred by my grandmothers hospice care. Their customer service is great helped me through the online process and they were very comforting and professional during the intake of her body. Although I had my reservations being that I was told one price and ended up paying much more but thats to be expected.

I made pre-arrangements with Lynn and it was a great experience! She even took my info by phone because I had trouble finding the time to complete the forms. She was professional and personable. I selected Southcare based on the excellent reviews and now I can add mine.

SouthCare did a fabulous job with my mothers funeral. From the moment they picked her up from the nursing home I felt she was in good hands. The staff was professional, friendly, and compassionate without being overly solicitous.We wanted a low-key family service that was still beautiful and elegant. And thats what we got. The room for the viewing and the service was perfect. SouthCare accommodated our religious needs perfectly. We really couldnt have asked for more.Now lets talk about the practical part. We saved a lot of money using SouthCare, but the service felt expensive. You would never know that we were trying to economize a little bit. The staff treated us as if we had used their most expensive services. We like the fact that their prices are posted on their website. You know what you are getting and what it will cost. And they are flexible. They can make adjustments to their offerings to accommodate your needs.I wholeheartedly recommend SouthCare. When my time comes, I hope my family will use them for my funeral.

Everyone at SouthCare was very friendly, and they served my needs well. I went with the online immediate cremation option. When filling out the forms, I had a handful of questions. It was no problem to call the staff multiple times; they were very helpful. My husband was cremated in just a few days, and I needed no appointment to pick up his remains. I never felt pressured to purchase/do things that were not necessary; I only received support. Based on my experience, I would recommend SouthCare to other people who are coping with the loss of a loved one.

When dealing with them please forget your relative just died and that you are grieving, and read all the small print on anything they make you sign, because theyll make mistakes on the paper work and youll have to pay for the corrections. Theyll make sure they get a good fee for their time. Compassion? Forget it not there. Theyre just there to make a buck, and they seem to find the way to charge the extra fees. Not to mention the attitude of the person that takes the information about your dead relative from you. She is sure to make disrespectful remarks right in front of you thinking she is funny. A nightmare.
