New Owner very customer service friendly.

Amazing. During the approaching Hurricane Isaias I had a problem with my parents generator Tank gromit had disintegrated. I called many places and finally ran into this gentleman he actually knew what grommet I need it just from the description of the engine and he knew he had one in inventory you didnt check the computer he just knew it. that to me is a sign that the small business owner knows his business. so I travelled from Plantation all the way to Margate to get the problem resolved. It was Saturday and the hurricane was supposed to hit that evening. he said he could install it but it wouldnt be until Tuesday. I told him its for my 83 year-old mother whos on oxygen and I desperately need to make sure that if her electric goes off that the generator is working is there any possible way he could do it same day. he looked at me and said Ill have it by 2 pm. at 1: 25pm I got the call that it was ready. I have stored his number and actually posted it on my Facebook page Im that impressed.

I gave these guys another chance after several years, now I will never use them again. My lawn mower was there for 30 days and was not even looked at! I’ll be bringing it to Acme service here in pompano.

I went there for carburetor gaskets for my old Tecumseh engine generator and was advised they really dont carry just gaskets but will try to match what I have. He came up with a perfect match and also offered a fuel bowl gasket and a needle & seat that would work. I walked out spending less than $20! They were most helpful and highly recommend this place. BTW, the generator started with the first pull after cleaning up the carburetor using their recommendations how I should do it.

Im being generous with the 1 star.. But it wont allow me to do minus 10..Horrible customer service, very rude and dishonest people, and overpriced on top of it!!!Save your time and money... Stay away from them 😉

Such a disappointment when someone can look you in the eye and flat out be dishonest with you. Dropped my pressure washer off in November of last year. Told me they would call in a week and then waited...waited...finally called to check a couple weeks later and they told me that the engine had a stuck piston. Quoted me a price to fix. I said it was warranted and they said it didn’t cover that. Asked them to check with the warrantee company again and they said they would and I would as well. Waited...waited. Called and left messages, several messages and was told the owner would call. Finally, in March, i call again and they quote me a higher price now saying the entire engine needed to be replaced. I go to the store personally to see what was going on. Owner claimed he called me at least a dozen times. Verified my number, and he had the right one. To sit there, in this day and age and claim you called someone’s cell phone, when you didn’t, is just ridiculous. No calls on my phone bill, no missed calls on my cell phone. Be honest. You dropped the ball. The cherry on top was when I asked for my power washer back he told me sure and asked me if I wanted him to throw the parts to my pressure washer in a bucket. I said, excuse me?? I paid $35 up front to diagnose the issue and you want to give it to me back in pieces? What kind of service is that? I told the owner to please put it back together and picked it up the following week. I will never use of recommend this place to anyone. The owner did a very poor job communicating and then was dishonest about it. Not the way to run a business.

Had a bad experience with this outfit. They do very rudimentary tests and jump to pricey conclusions that can cost you your warranty. I only took it in for warranty, and being a mechanic can honestly say their knowledge of carburation theory is weak at best. They tried to feed me some bs and charge me $40 for the most bs diagnosis Ive ever heard of. Be careful if youre using them for warranty work.

Had problem with my weed wacker. Rick was very honest to tell me he could not get parts for my cheap old unit. He recommended a great replacement at an affordable price.

Went in for what we thought were going to be major repairs on our riding mower and we were hesitant based on reviews but what we found was just the opposite. We could have been overcharged by hundreds but the repair was only a matter of maintenance. Above that the owner Rick informed us of the things we could doTo keep maintenance charges at a minimum. Great shop I will definitely use for all my service from now on.

I went to the listed location, upon arrival I made contact with a male(wearing blue shirt ) . I advised him is there a charge for estimate? He advised yes $35.00. I then advised him I know what the problem is. The string is broken and bolt it loose, other than that it works fine. I advised him could he give me a verbal estimate and he advised an estimate is an estimate (assuming he meant he will charge me $35.00 for a verbal estimate) . He got a little upset or bothered that I wanted a verbal estimate for what I listed above . My neighbor told me not to go here but I did not listen . Will never go to this location again . When you run a business your primary goal is to get the customer and keep the customer. If the experience was better, he would have had a long time customer. I wish your company well on its future endeavors.

I had my Poulan chainsaw restored to new and am thankful there are people like Rick at World of Small Engines in the business. Great service and polite people. Highly recommended!

Needed a generator part in a hurry before a pending storm and they had it in stock. Busy morning and I was still in and out within 10 minutes.

No stars. Very not friendly refuse to sell parts to me want to rip you off. says they have to do the repair. I’m a repair technician but didn’t tell them that but I will never return to this place Once they have your equipment behind the counter they can charge what they want and tell you whatever lie they want to I haven’t been here in over a year and today I am greeted with the same unfriendly attitude and I can see they practice rip off technique stay away. He said it’s too tricky of a repair to sell me parts labor is 18$ to hook you plus parts he says he doesn’t know what parts will be required or how much they will cost. Keep in mind this is a pull string part I carried in hand that has been taken off a generator I’m just looking for little repair or replacement he said drop it off and he can’t guarantee it fixed by the end of weekend and today Friday at 1 pm. Boca small engines sold me parts for 10$ To fix my old one and I ordered an extra complete starter assembly from amazon $12. So if you have endless $ and you don’t care about being taken advantage they are the place for you.

This place is terrible. Brought in a chain saw a while back for warranty work. Immediately I was accused of abusing the machine. Terrible customer service!!! After going back and forth with the guy, he finally agreed to check it out and it was replaced by Home-lite. Go Figure, youre in the repair business but you dont want to take warranty work? If they dont pay you enough then take your name of the approved repair center list. I will never return to this place.

This place is a joke, dropped of my mower there 2 weeks ago, and they havent even looked at it yet! But they made sure to collect the $35.00 UP FRONT, I guess they figure if they dont, people will fugure out that guys is an idiot and go elsewhere... I should have read the comments about this lousy place, the guy that answers the phone is totally unprofessional and lacks customer service.!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!, I will never bring anthing to this lousy place.

I was recommended this place by Troy Built to have warranty work done. I called the store and described an issue where my metal deck rusted out after 2yrs and 2months. Just as I finished telling him it was kept outside but in a shed, the person on the phone without ever seeing the mower began to tell me Ive done something wrong and it will not be covered under warranty. I tried to explain that the rust came from the bottom thru the top and he then said that I must have it stored near fertilizer, oh and that for him to look and the mower it would be $35 and if Troy Built covered it he would give me the money back.The person on the phone sound extremely arrogant and full of himself. I would never patronize this business and will be making a formal complaint to Troy Built about this service center. DONT USE THIS BUSINESS!

I have been there 2 times and both times they have not had the part I needed. A bowl gasket for a Briggs and Stratton 5 horse. Told me it would take a week to come in.

I found this place unreasonable and the owner arrogant. I took my Toro mower in for what seemed to me like a carburetor issue. I asked for them to clean the carb and if needed to replace the seals. They responded that they do not repair o clean carbs but only replace the entire assembly (almost $175 with labor.) The rationale was that they could not warranty their work otherwise. I had it repaired (cleaned the carb body of some grass debris, no seals needed replacement, for $35 elsewhere and it runs again like a champ. I highly recommend Green Thumb in Coral Springs. Very professional, good work, reasonable prices and they do not insult the customers intelligence. My neighbor had the same experience there. He also goes to Green Thumb now.

Stay away from world of small engines. The original owners son who has worked there for a proclaimed 20 years has a real superiority complex and for the second time that I was there yesterday I heard him basically yelling at and embarrassing someone in front of other customers about their repair. He seems to think he is on a reality show or something because in real life these things usually dont fly to well when your trying to stay in business. He declines to take in warranty repairs and blames the problem on the user of the machine, even after I talked to the manufacturer and hey said to bring it to a dealer to get it changed out. Called me a liar right to my face and said he is not willing to put up the money and wait for the warranty claim to come through.Charges 10 dollars for a single echo air filter non oem, I went down to home depot and got the oem echo air filter / fuel filter / and ngk spark plug combo for 11!!!

Charge way to much...... 70.00 an hr. and 35.00 before they even do the work...what a rip off.
