Professional yet cozy. Service here is intimate and honest. My hygienist, Maria, is hands down the best hygienist I’ve ever met. Her touch is delicate. She explains everything prior to doing it. And her vibes are calm and warm. In all, when you’re dealing with teeth, it’s always a pain; however, at Smile Design Dental of Margate, it becomes a journey of self discovery into the hygiene of all that involves dentistry.

I was recommended to Smile Dental of Margate by my cousin two years ago. Both my daughter and I are now going here. Dr Gutierrez and Dr Maceda are great. The dental hygienist Marie has taught me so much and does a great job. I would highly recommend them especially if you are anxious when you go to the dentist, they make you feel so comfortable.

Maria’s the best!!!! It was most gentle and easiest cleaning I have ever had and my last cleaning was 3 years ago! She did a deep cleaning and it felt like a simple floss. Would recommend to anyone out there.

Went here to get my 4 wisdom teeth extracted not too long ago. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! One of my wisdom teeth was impacted and the doctor was literally trying to break my jaw open to get it out. The recovery process was absolute hell. Long story short; the extraction caused me TMJ disorder and I developed clicking / popping in one of my jaw joints whenever Id open it or eat. I also developed lockjaw; I could barely open up wide and I had severe pain. I went back to their office a few times about it but there was nothing that they could do. They were clueless as how to treat my conditioned that THEY caused! They then prescribed me a $400 mouth guard that only made the issue worse. My condition worsened as the months went by. I got to a point where I couldnt even eat or talk without pain. It was becoming a huge deterrent in my life and mental health; I was literally losing hope. Not to mention that I could barely open my mouth because my jaw was locked. Luckily, I found a TMJ specialist and Im doing a lot better now. I felt it was only right that I share MY personal experience that I had with Smile Design Margate. So to all those looking to get their wisdom teeth extracted (or any extraction): Please proceed with caution!! Id even go as far as to say that you should maybe find another dental office. Hope this review helps anyone that was considering this place for any extractions!

This Is The WORST Dental Clinic Ive Ever Been To In My Entire Life ! If You Want To Live DO NOT GO THERE. They Tried To Force Me To Do Procedures That I Was Very Uncomfortable With. They Have Social Skills And NO COMMON SENSE ! I Wouldnt Refer My Own DOG Let Alone A PERSON TO THIS HORRIBLE CLINIC !

5 STARS FOR ME! I am a fan of this dental facility. They are kind, patient and gentle. Ive gone from a white knuckle person to a more relaxed person while visiting this place. I have had the most gentle cleanings I have experienced in my 38 years. Also some procedures done that are not fun...but having them done here has made my experience more enjoyable! The staff is amazing. Dr. Mercado is outstanding! I now travel about 45 minutes to go here since moving. I plan to keep coming here!

Very good clean and fast. They dont over book. The time you are scheduled is the time you are seen. I recommend them to more customers as I do any good business but they were so kind they sent me a 25 publix gift card for each referral..

They tried to take my money for my sons service and then they decided not to do the service. The pediatric dentist decided after taking my money that they just wanted to watch the tooth. Then they told me to contact the ortho doctor that comes to that office and tell them that they are not go to complete the service. This is not the first time that I have had an issue with this dentist, their services, customer service, or trying to over charge. If it was not for COVID I would look for another dentist.

Con artists like every business in this God forsaken community. Any time people here start off treating you like a human, with courtesy and respect, get ready to bend over.

I went to re cement my crown on and they they wanted me to pay 500 for the cleaning around the crown and re-cement it. The Doctor is Venezuelan an so not good at his job. He lowered the amount of procedure for $100 and cemented my crown back. Now my crown look black and not like it use to. I told him to cover the dead tooth underneath with white filling so the black shadow will not show in the crown and he said no. Now because he did not do the proper procedure to recement a crown; I am left to save money to again redo my crown. HORRIBLE PLACE to go to. Be aware!

I throughly enjoyed my experience here! I had a bad experience with a dentist earlier this year, and I was looking for another dentist, so I found Smile Design on Groupon and decided to give it a try. It was VERY clean and bright. They wrote a “welcome” with my name on it in my room, and I thought that was such a personal touch. Additionally my hygienist, and dentist were friendly and made sure I was comfortable throughout my exam and cleaning. The woman at the front desk was transparent about pricing and offered several payment options. I’m DEFINITELY going back here for my dentistry needs!!!

Have been going to Smile Design for all my dental work. Everyone is super nice and attentive! I’ve been in several times with Dr. Macedo, Carlos, and Domingo. They always have me laughing and I never leave without a smile! Great work every time. I highly recommend Dr. Carlos and his team!

Smile Design Dental of Margate is a wonderful dental practice. I had the best experience, well as great an experience you can have while getting dental work! I was a new patient and called as soon as they opened and was told to come right on in. I was seen and taken care of immediately and the Doctor was so kind and the staff made me feel at ease. I had been in horrible pain for days and I am so glad they were able to see me. They worked with my insurance to make sure I could afford the procedure and truly went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. I highly recommend this office. I will be back for all of my dental needs in the future!

I was in so much pain. Dr. Tavory came in and advised me everything will be ok and will get me back to normal. I literally was in tears! I really did not feel that was going to happen I just wanted the tooth out my mouth! Guess what Evelyn corrected my temporary crown and I felt like there was nothing in my mouth or no crown at all! I feel like a new person and I thank Dr. Tavory, Evelyn my little angel and Maria and there was another young lady beautiful with braces for making me want to SMILE again! God Bless you all! One of my sons have a phobia of the dentist. After 2 years I took him to American Dental of Florida & he immediately warmed up to the staff. I took my 2 yr old for his first cleaning today & he did an amazing job. The staff were so patient with him (them) and he was something comfortable. I highly recommend them!!!

Went in as a new patient and received a beautiful gift. Thats never happened before. I was examined by a technician and a very sweet doctor who was apparently not money hungry, and thats never happened before, either. I went there due to a mistake by my insurance company but I have decided to stay there. I was impressed by the friendly staff and the use of technology. The main building does not do justice to this office because there is no sign that it is inhabited, but once I got inside, I felt right at home.

I’ve been told the last two times I’ve been there I need a wisdom tooth extraction, stat. Every time I’ve asked for them to please check my benefits. “We will call and let you know”. Never did. I have two family members going here, we are taking our business elsewhere.

The services were okay. My dental hygienist was excellent. If your terrified of getting your teeth cleaned she is definitely the person to see.The male Dentist was very personable and very professional, he made me feel very comfortable, answered all my questions and did not rush me.The receptionist I encountered had a bit of an attitude and was a bit dismissive but maybe she was just having an off day.Over all my experience with the receptionist I would like a do over and give her another chance to redeem herself.My experience with the dental hygienist and the male dentist was EXCELLENT!

Would love to see a new and larger office in Margate area, but as far as the dental work and the staff they are the tops. Would also love to see more days offered but understand that they split their time in different areas and offices.

I have been to this office several times and loved it! Each & every staff member has been kind, efficient and professional. I was pleased with the services provided by all of them; John, Kenny, Martha, and Melissa. Valentina and Dr. Berkowitz are two that stand out to me as exceptional. Valentina has repeatedly gone out of her way to explain the services & billing details to me, all the while juggling incoming patients and phone calls. Dr. Berkowitz provided excellent care and gave me his honest professional opinion which ended up saving me money in the long run! He humbly admitted he treats people the way he wants to be treated and for that I am grateful! This is a very small office which I think I actually like since it really does provide for a more personal level of care.

Use to be a great place but it is no longer the same. They over book appointments so your there waiting forever. I referred a friend there to get her wisdom tooth pulled and they broke her jaw. Then they told her that it was normal. 😣😒 RUN Im trying to change my dental service today.

Very bad communication. What should have been a month process. Took two months. Go to appointment that are schedule and no Dr. And no call stated this I went today for my appointment and they didnt bother to call and say anything to me till I got there. Its a hour trip they knew yesterday before closing that the lab was not bringing the item. But yet they do not bother to call us knowing the item was not coming and are appointment. Was. For the next morning. I would say it was just a fluck. But not when it happened. More then. Once will never return

My husband and are are new to broward and I was looking for a dentist that has evening hours and Saturday hours. Staff is very friendly and was able to get an appointment right away. I also got my husband to come in for a check up. I would highly recommend them.

These folks are angels. Went in with excruciating pain after a previous bad filling somewhere else. They saw me same day. Everyone, from the front desk to Dr. Berkowitz, was amazingly kind, considerate, and symphathetic to my pain. I have a root canal schedule for tomorrow. I am extremely grateful to them. The office is nice an clean and it helps also to know they have Saturday hours. I will bring my children there as well. So so grateful I found them.

Dr Hart was great. They are quick and efficient and most of all child friendly.

I went in to see the doctor that does the cosmetic work here, a Dr Tavory. From the moment he walked in, he shook my hand, introduced himself, and consulted me while standing up the whole time. That look made me feel as if he was in a rush to get to the next patient. I wanted to close spaces in my teeth with cosmetic procedures,. I had ideas from research I had done and he shot them all down because he only wanted to do porcelain veneers. He also recommended cutting some gum line away and stated if I didnt do that no procedure would look good. He was very closed minded in his approach and seemed to only be interested in doing porcelain veneers. Ive had several consultations with cosmetic dentist before and his was by far the worst. Although he has a professional opinion of what he thinks will look best; that doesnt mean discount the patients ideas or at least try to meet them half way. And look enthused while doing it.

A wonderful experience the staff are awesome. I didnt have to wait long to be called.

YOURE TOLD YOUR INSURANCE DOES NOT COVER IT.SO YOU CAN HAVE AN OUT OF POCKET COST. I CALLED MY INSURANCE AND THE AGENT STATED A CLAIM WAS NEVER SUBMITTED FOR THIS ITEM TO EVEN GET DENIED. THE DR WANTS YOU TO PAY $35 FOR EACH TOOTH SHES DESENSITIZING OR SHE WILL NOT PERFORM THE FILLING.. I REPORTED THIS DENTIST TO MY INSURANCE AND TO THE FLORIDA BOARD OF DENTISTRY.
