We met with friends at this spot for dinner. we heard about this restaurant from a lot of people. Well, we were not disappointed. the crew were so friendly and we felt very good. The meal was fresh and delicious. We enjoyed every moment and we will definitely return to this restaurant. We recommend this place to all.

We dont usually take time to do a review - though we rely on other reviews.. bad on us- but todays meal and service was perfect! Not a single comment to improve the experience. Service was timely, not deficient or excessive. Food was hot and cold where appropriate. The martini was butter. The burger was not dry but very flavorful. The fries were crunchy and not greasy. The chicken sandwich was cooked perfectly. The brownie was warm and the ice cream cold. Paul was excellent. Very happy with the experience.

Picked up dinner last night since not enough time to make it and it was so amazing! My husband had the turkey dinner and I had the liver and onions. They were both amazing but the liver was the best I’ve ever had. So tender and juicy. I will always recommend Guldens

The restaurant is great, however we usually spend our time in the bar area. They have a great menu and great service. Our regular wait person is wonderful. She is attentive and very efficient.

We had a very good meal during our last visit. Good food selection, full bar, before 5pm specials and great service. Only 4 stars because big Mike and his ever present smile are truly missed.Have been going there for years and I would highly recommend it. They dont try to be cute with the food, they serve you an honest meal at a reasonable price.

We were seated comfortably right away. We could have been in the bar area,having tacos for a $1.50 a taco, but I wasnt in the mood for tacos. pretty awesome taco Tuesday deal though, will have to come back another time. They have several Minnesotan beers on tap,which was great. I ordered ribs and mashed potatoes, my husband had waffle fries and a California burger,which he said was good. I wanted to steal all his fries because they were seriously the best Ive ever tasted- piping hot,crispy on the outside. I very much enjoyed my smoky sweet rack of ribs though, which were so tender they were falling off the bone. The mashed potatoes were so hot I almost burned my mouth - not quite though. Our waitress was really nice,attentive and friendly. Well be back for sure!

Great old-time super club. I ordered my liver medium rare thinking that meant medium in MN. They actually made it medium rare and even though it was a little on the rare side for what I wanted I ate the whole thing, because they did what I asked. And thats great.

Great service and food! Came for taco night with a bunch of friends, I usually have soft tacos but I was convinced to get the fried ones and Im glad I didnt. They arent as difficult to eat as hard shells, and they have more flavor than a soft shell. Absolutely recommend!! House margarita is good, too, if you are of age!

I had a most memorable experience with great food and wonderful people. The menu has something for every taste. And the staff?? They are the best anywhere; always friendly, funny, sociable, and they truly care about each and every customer. If you need anything they will happily oblige! I urge everyone to go to Guldens to see it for themselves!

I dont mind being the only black person at a place full of white people but the service I got was ridiculous. The host was amazing but I was there for 15mins before the waitress asked if I wanted anything I even tried to approach her and I was ignored. There was other people sitting at my table they had to tell the waitress I wanted something before my order was taken. And then the waitress charged me double for something I didnt even order. The crowd was not so bad except when it was karaoke time some people were judging I mean come on its karaoke at a bar people shouldnt be expected to be superstars. Not sure if I will go back there or not.

Cant say how it is during rush times. My family and I went late evening. They treated us very nice, food was good. My kids and I loved the Gouda Mac n cheese bites!

My son and I sat at the bar and had wings and then a meal. McKenna (sp?) is an awesome, friendly bartender. Shes super fun to talk to & even though I havent been there in over a year she remembered me. Such a welcoming place with really good food and great staff!

I was treated to a Friday fish fry by my family. Food was great and unlimited. We had young children and they enjoyed their kid food. We had a very attentive waitress. Great experience.

First time visit, food was excellent I had a 61 burger done to perfection, fries were wonderful! Also had homemade ham soup!!! We will be back!

Had liver & onions and onion rings which they did great.On a previous visit, ordered walleye with no seasoning, it came with lots of pepper on it. Sent it back, second one had no seasoning, but was half raw.They have a nice salad bar and good BBQ ribs

Place virtually empty. Waited for a hostess to show up after about 10 minutes. Asked the waitress 3 times for water! Finally got some. Usually pretty good. This time was disappointed.

The food at Guldens is AMAZING. 5 generations of the Raschke family have been very satisfied dinners here. Weve had many family events here over the years and will have 4 Raschke generations and 3 generations of my In-laws dinning this Fathers Day Brunch.You will not be disappointed in the food or the service. And the do a great job with events.If you like Prime Rib, they have the best !

Dale and Solveigh run an excellent karaoke show so get there on time because everyone knows it and its a long rotation. The waitresses are attentive, the prices are reasonable. If youre a listener, youll enjoy yourself.

We come from Fargo, ND every year to St. Paul and never miss the opportunity to eat at the greatest restaurant we have ever been to. The atmosphere, people, drinks, salad bar and food is excellent .

Its been over 3 years since we have been here. It was fantastic then and still is. There is not another restaurant around that is even I the ballpark. The food was the best and service was better. Especially if you celebrating something special with a group, you could find a better place to celebrate!

We had the dinner buffet and it was delicious! The ribs were tender and the mashed potatoes were really good, the shrimp was fresh. The salad bar was good. The fried chicken was fresh, but wasnt the best, but Ive been spoiled by living in the south for the past year 😂

You would be hard-pressed to find friendlier staff at any other bar. They really make you feel like home even if youre a complete stranger. Their food is also very good.

Visited Gulden’s for dinner around 6pm on a Tuesday evening. I ordered the pollock burger and I would definitely recommend it. The location is convenient to get to, plenty of parking spaces in their lot, seating was immediate, service was speedy and friendly.

Not impressed. Weve lived nearby for 20 years and finally decided to stop in. The first time, we brought our family-2 adults and 3 kids. The salad bar was pathetic. Some iceberg lettuce and cottage cheese. Not sure what the previous reviewer was impressed with...Specials are decent, but regular menu is way overpriced. We didnt see anything special about the place or food so not sure why the high prices.We gave it another shot on a Saturday night for the crab leg special. Crab was very good, but you can only have it in the bar area (?). We saw the bartender make a family leave when they showed up for the special. Great way to win future business.

I had a small birthday dinner here a while back and I keep thinking about going back because I had such a great experience. Mainly because Our server was amazing!! He was super nice and genuine and accomodating. I forget his name, Jeff maybe. Ive come back a few times with friends and havent seen him unfortunately. The family happened to head over for lunch on Sunday and we were less than impressed. Our 9 year old even commented, Wow! 17 bucks for 6 shrimp, thats a lot!The elder of the two wait staff seemed impatient and was short w/ us. When asked if we could do have breaded and have coconut shrimp, the reply was a stern NO. I figure for 17 bucks be a bit more flexible but oh well.When our order arrived my shrimp was over cooked and the jumbo shrimp were not, they were standard size.Our potatoes small and on the verge of being over cooked.The salads bar was unimpressive.W/ only 3 other tables being occupied in the whole restaurant I would figure better service but that was not the case.We spent almost $45 bucks for two adults and 1 child, and w/ water to drink. I could have spent that at Red Lobster, got more food and better service.I will avoid in the future.

Absolutely fantastic service from Sky, she is an enthusiastic server with a passion for making her customers happy. The wings are awesome and they have many house made sauces. I would also recommend the bread pudding. I cant get enough of this place. Its a GULD mine!

Excellent Sunday brunch, bloody mary bar, and if you hit the right Sunday home made meatballs to die for. Turkey, stuffing, and the rest of Thanksgiving every Sunday.

This place is a gem! The BEST chicken wings!! They have restaurant, bar, and patio seating (weather permitting). Ive been coming back to this place for years because they consistantly have quality service, a comfortable atmosphere, and delicious food.

We came here for one of our monthly dinners. We are a large group so we could not go somewhere else ar the last minute because they made us wait almost an hour because they would not tell the group that was at the table to leave. We had reservations for 6:30pmand did not get in until almost 7:30pm. Service was horrible. Not very good food. Would not go back again.

Restaraunt and bar were packed, so I was a little apprehensive. The service staff was a bit overwhelmed, but delivered on a solid Supper Club menu. The Prime Rib was not overcooked and very flavorful. We will be going back for the Prime and might just check out the Fried Chicken as it seemed to be a popular dish with the crowd.

Stopped in for lunch today had a nice little all you can eat buffet. Fried chicken, Ribs, beer batter red tail shrimp,, mashed potatoes gravy, corn and salad bar. It was all good the server was great I think her name war Marie. Ill be back again for the lunch.

Went on a Saturday with a reservation. Restaurant was busy. The seating area was very warm and stuffy. The building was clean but musty. The food was good and came quickly and service was very good.

It seems to me in the last few years the quality of food at Guldens has gone little downhill. We went there once for the chicken which we loved but it wasnt so great and that was just a month or so ago and then we went again last night and the au gratin potatoes that used to be so good are I swear just the Betty Crocker ones that you can make it home out of the box. We also did the all-you-can-eat fish fry last night and the fish was dry and paper-thin, it just wasnt very good.

Could have been just a bad night. Everything was over cooked the salad bar was lame, no cheeses, egg, ham, etc. Sevice was pretty poor, empty and forgotten drinks. The food came out so staggered that the people served 1st were almost done with the meal before the last person got their food. We were compensated for the over cooked food but that was about the only good experience of the night.

I had a chicken Caesar salad and my wife had the 61 burger. Both were excellent and the service was quick and friendly. Highly recommend.

Guldens Sunday Buffet is the best in town. I love their large, very fresh salad bar. The buffet food is excellent, considering its buffet food.

We had a group of 15 for a family reunion in back room and our server was great and food was great. It was great to have a relaxed time to visit.

I would visit just for the salad bar, but the Swedish meatballs and mashed potatoes were delicious. My husband wasnt happy with his philly though, he said it hardened into a lump when it cooled. The server forgot about us when it was time for the bill, we had to walk over to her to get it and I wound up late to work. We will be back though.

The food was great, I was served 10 minutes ahead of the rest of my table though, there were no voluntary refills, had to ask for coffee creamer. The server was also very abrupt for somebody who expects a tip.

Not sure how people enjoy the food here. Been here on many holiday brunches, food is bland and just not very good. My mom seemed to be ok with the food as for her husband, well he would eat before going here because he knew the food wasnt very good. Step it up folks!
