Our scheduled pickup was on Thursday. By Thursday night ours and our neighbors garbage had not been picked up. I called WM at 10:30 am and told them we did not get picked up. She said the driver was at stop 80 and we were stop 400 but our garbage would be picked up by 6:00 pm on Friday. At 4:30 pm on Friday our garbage still hadn’t been picked up so I called again. This woman said that the driver worked until 7:00. When I pressed her on making sure he would come today she said she would leave a note for the driver if he didn’t get it picked up today to have someone come in Monday. That’s 5 days on no garbage service. We were given no explanation for the original delay and no notification of the delay on Friday. As big a company as WM is, there is no excuse for this kind of service.
Just drive in. Throw your stuff away. Pay. Drive out. Straight to the point and never seems to be too busy.
Jo Kevin teddy eric and Dean are the greatestWM employeesthey all deserveraises and better 401ks
It’s a very convenient dump yard due to were we work from but the customer service from one particular fella ruined my experience there. Especially when I was in a situation were I needed assistance and the guy is just trying to push me out of the yard. I guess he had better stuff to do than help out the customers; pushing trash with a tractor must be very exhausting.
- Multiple missed pick ups and the digital tools to report the missed pickup dont work and you have to call at inconvenient times.- I discontinued my Yard waste service, they missed the pick up 2x (after charging me a $75 service fee).- Then when they finally came and picked up my yard waste container they accidently picked up my garbage container as well leaving my high and dry. Maybe they manage waste, but they sure as hell dont manage their business. Probably one of the worst experiences Ive had as a customer in a long time.
3 weeks in a row of missed pickup times. Have basically left container at end of driveway the entire time because they show up whenever. Very high price to pay for terrible service
My trash guys do a great job. No complaints for my pickup guy. Only disapointments have been higher rates and constant hidden admin fees.. even after paying bills on time to get random fees isnt ok. Especially when i pay a whole year up front
Very quick and easy. If you have 100 lbs very favorable rate, if you are over 100 lbs go way over 100 lbs. The lady inside who talks to you when you first scale in, and then pay when you scale out - is super friendly and explains things well - even over a speaker....
Discontinued service because could get it 10 dollars a month cheaper. After they came and got the can I got a bill the next month for 40 dollars plus tax for picking it up with no previous explanation. Not very happy and would never recommend them to anyone. To expensive and not very informative.
It cost me $180 to dump a 8x12 trailer filled to the brim with relatively heavy construction scraps and household garbage (1800 pounds). They weigh your vehicle on the way in, then weigh difference on the way out and charge you for the weight. Only complaint is that you have to unload your trash into a tall dumpster, however they let me leave the heaviest stuff that I couldnt lift on the ground next to the dumpster.
I think waste management does a great job. Reliable and consistent.
Seemed like a nice, easy place to use. Signs indicated where and what to do. Unloaded my items and then paid again. Price was fine.
For a lot of us, this dump (not using the term offensively here) is the only game in town. I went there today - the first time in a couple years - and I think the base price ($95 I was told at the speaker) went up since the last time I was there. Ultimately though my load somehow ended up being only $88 for 360 pounds, which is less than a bagster ($20 at the store + $119 to WM for pickup).Pros:Generally quick to get in and outEasy to findIf you cant get rid of it anywhere else you can probably get rid of it hereNo need for a dumpster that takes up a large part of your driveway or yard.Cons:Basically self-serveNo weekend hoursOnly open to 4pm M-FNo public restroom (I didnt try but Im pretty sure theyve heard jokes about you cant take a dump at the dump? a few times already)
Transfer StationThe flow is efficient one way through the lot. Dumpster is perfect height for tossing junk out of a pickup. Location is perfect for those of us in NW metro. Trash fountain was gorgeous (hopefully it’ll still be there when you read this).
Zero stars.WM- Maple Grove rivals the customer service of most internet and cable providers. Absolutely ridiculous. This is the 4th year that they have missed our SCHEDULED Christmas Tree pick up- weeks late every time. This year, after 5 calls following the original scheduled service call and confirmation, I have received the same resolution from their customer service manager. They have put out the request to the route manager and I need to give them 48 hours to contact me about this because they are no longer servicing this type of pick up, I am done. Clearly you are no longer picking up Christmas trees; its February. Your company missed the pick up 5 times and no one has called me back once to make this right. I was told I could burn the tree today. Incredulous.
Very nice and helpful employees
The scale ladys attitude stunk....
I have decide to put my review for this companys service on google as well from my yelp review.I just want to express my review for this company for their terrible service. Normally I dont usually write reviews or complaints, but this has been the third time this has happened to me where they didnt pickup our trash. My wife and I called in and told them that they didnt pickup our trash. As usual, they claim that they did. If they did great, this review wouldnt be here.First time they didnt do it. I give them a pass on it. Driver probably forgot or had a bad day. Called in and they claim their driver did. OK, we asked them to just come and pick it up. Took a couple days after for someone to come out and pickup the trash.Second time around, we had trash and recycle for that weeks pickup. Recycle was pickup early in the morning before I go to work. After recycle was picked up, I took the recycle bin to my back yard. Came back home after work to see trash was not pickup. Called them the next day again, and they claim the same thing that they did pickup our trash. OK, I thought to myself, hopefully this is it that I dont have to call in anymore.Well third times a charm right. This time, like the second instance, we had recycle as well with the trash. Recycle was pickup before I go to work. As usual, I took the empty recycle bin back to my backyard. Came back home after work and thought they picked up the trash since the bin looks different. WRONG!!! They changed the color of the trash bin cover to yellow and they saw that I had trash. Trash wasnt pickup. Called in and had the same replied that they did pickup the trash.
Very easy to drive in and drop off your trash or demo waste. If you’re going for a warm and fuzzy welcome and help with unloading, you won’t be impressed. Go there instead to get the job done and bring you’re own help if needed. It’ll cost you around a hundred bucks for a trailer full of waste.
Compared to services available in Bloomington, St Paul or Minneapolis this place is pathetic and its becoming more obvious why people dump their garbage in public areas iin the dead of night. From over charging to denying waste, the options are limited and quite frankly, the worst I have ever encountered.
Switched services due to a better price.. thats all.. they did a great job, even tho i didn’t originally start off with them (they acquired my original garbage company)... HOWEVER, then they kept billing me. I told them I didn’t owe them anything, and they said that everything was fine. Just got a letter today that they sent me to collections... real cool..
This transfer station works really well to haul a bunch of wood from remodel projects without using bagster at $120 or paying a trash company to pick it up curbside (also over $100). For 66 bucks I can fill my ford explorer to the brim with wood and get it dealt with quickly. Ive used this facility several times and it works out really slick for the right kind of waste.
Most of the reviews are complaints about home trash pick up and not this location. It cost me $31 to get rid of a large area rug (up to 100 lbs). It was a very quick and easy process. You drive up onto a platform, they tell you a price estimate. Then you drive to where they tell you and you unload your stuff into a dumpster. Then you drive to another platform to weigh out and then you can pay with a credit card.Would have given them 5 stars if they had people to help you get the stuff out of your vehicle and into their dumpster.
I had service with garbage man, which was great. Got a better offer from another company and decided to cancel. WM happened to buy them during my last month that was already paid for. After switching, I get a bill from WM for over $100, and the customer service rep tells me thats what I owe for the previous months. However you pay in advance... Ended up paying $45 for nothing. Its easy for these big companys to steal from the little guy and have no recourse. If I wouldnt have paid it wouldve went to collections and cost me a lot more than the $45.
Your service is fine, but I just realized youre much more expensive than my other options.
Never had a problem dumping here. People say prices are expensive and that might be so but unless you can burn your items there is only so much you can do.
F rated Waste ManagementJust charged another $41.58 to stop service 2 months after calling to cancel service! Waste Management charges an excessive FEE to cancel service and pick up their can. No other collector does this. When we called to cancel service 5/10/2019, they said we had to pay a $25+ can pickup fee, plus applicable charges. Lady decided is was ok to talk down to a customer multiple times. Charged $36.58 for picking up WMs can and then a service charge of $5 to make the payment. Then! Overcharged 4 times when we had Waste Management for service! Many issues, charged for trash pickup from another address 3 times.WASTE MANAGEMENT will NEVER get our business again...
The prices at the transfer Station are ridiculously high. They are between 2 and 2.5 times elsewhere. Drive a few more minutes and save hundreds of dollars if you have any weight at all to dump.
What a b$t@h. In the office! Please remember you old burnt out hate my job rude lady! You shouldMaybe recognize that you are a business offering a service and not treat your clients like we disturbed your day. After all you signed up for this line of work! Get over it or GET OUT OF THE BUSINESS!!
If I could give zero stars I would. These guy charge double what everyone else does so be sure to shop around. They dont explain the contracts fully and leads confusion. Lastly every time I have called customer service I have had nothing resolved and the people on the phone sound like they hate their job. Honestly who can blame them when working for such a shotty company.
Would give 0 stars if able. Falsely reported picking up my garbage. Then told me 3 separate times they would do extra pick up since they failed to show. Have yet to pick up my first load of garbage. Will be switching service.
I have been here several times and have always been treated fairly. You will have to pay for some of the drop off items, and the hours arent always the most convenient (closed Mondays), but the people are nice and the place it clean.
So Garbageman, A Green Company was acquired by Waste Management. Neat, fine, whatever. These things happen, my service hasnt really changed so I dont care.Whoa, now my rates SKYROCKETED. Not neat. Not fine. This is a change I cant handle and another carrier swooped in cutting my original rate in half. So I call to cancel. Or try to, at least...Ive been trying to cancel since last week, and finally got ahold of someone at Garbage Man today who was like Well I cant do that so let me get you to waste management and warm transferred me to a retention rep over there. The retention rep, Shannon I think, at the beginning of the call was told I was looking to cancel services. Her response?I... can... try that. Ive been out for a while so I dont remember how to use this thing.Thats a fantastic start. We go through the normal shenanigans of asking why I want to cancel, trying to keep me, etc, just noped it all. BTDT, not interested in encouraging a perceived requirement for this dance. Finally she says okay Ill get this done is there anything else I can do for you?Yes, I say. Will I be prorated for this quarter?I believe so she says.Can... you give me an amount? No, I cant do that. How can you not do that? Can you get ahold of someone who can?No. Normally people arent given this much of a courtesy during an acquisition. This is a retention department. If any money is owed to you then you will be issued a refund.k thanks.I mean, I get it. Its probably not really even in their billing system yet. The ineptitude and complete lack of care from this person was just astounding.I hope other employees arent like this at WM.
I would give WM zero star if I could. WM screwed me over big time. They never mentioned once that I would be charged for pick up and drop off of 2 WM bins, totaling 150.00. Long story short, If I knew that, I would of stuck with whatever trash bin company was already placed at the new house we were at. They must think Im made of money. After I paid it off, right away, I went back wm online to see what my balanced was and they charged me again 80.00 for regular services. So 80 plus 150 in one month. They really know how to ruin my day. I was so pissed, I didnt want to call them because I didnt think I could control my anger so I just wrote to them.
Helped a friend haul some demo waste here.
THis week thy missed picking up the garbage on our side of the street, 5 townhouses. When I called, they read me a patronizing script about how frustrating that must be (same script copied from other companies) and said they would pick up later that day or morning of the next. When that didnt happen I called again, got the same patronizing script read to me (they must have this taped above their monitors) and said they would pick up by the end of business that day. Agin they lied, and have yet to pick up the garbage THEY WERE PAID TO PICK UP!. Its too much for them to realize that REAL customer service means actually doing the job they are paid to do! I will be complaining to the HOA and hopefully when their contract comes up we can persuade the HOA to use someone else. Even if it means paying someone else a little more, its still cheaper than paying WM to do nothing!
Very simple way to dispose of remodeling waste.
Absolutely worthless
I am glad that this place is in the area to drop stuff off but it sure is expensive. I have never had a bill under $50 even for the smallest load.
God awful expensive scale off atleast 800 lbs 200$ to dump an 5x7 shed.
Blaine transfer- $75 for 600 lbs $163 a ton after...highway robbery.
Does not take cash!! omegalul
Extremely rude.
Rude
Service is horrible . We are switching to Ace.
Scale is way way off. We dumped a small pile of cardboard and a computer desk and they said it was 230+ lbs. BS. Go elsewhere.
