Let me preface this review with saying, I hate auto shops, except for Maple Grove Auto Service. I used to be the guy who would do all my own work and spend hours under my truck because I felt like I could never trust an auto shop. I have now had several experiences with Maple Grove Auto Service and have been pleased with the work done. I trust Maple Grove Auto Service to maintain my truck and provide me with low pressure preventative maintenance recommendations. They may not be the cheapest per line item, their prices are fair, and I will happily pay a couple extra bucks to have an auto shop I trust. I now live 100 miles away and still bring my truck here because of the the reputation they have established. Thank you.

Great service! Since I was only in town for the weekend and found myself with a flat tire I asked that they do whatever they needed to so that I could get my car that same day for the most reasonable price. Initially I thought that they would need to replace the tire but they went out of their way to try a patch first and it totally worked. I was so thankful that they went out of their way to try the least expensive fix rather than just selling me tires, which they could have totally done. Great integrity and honesty!! Perez was my go-to guy during this encounter and I have to say that he was a rock star.

Been taking my vehicles here for over 10 years. Had rotational hum which ended up being a wheel bearing, they ended up saving me some more money than the original estimate by replacing the whole assembly. They take car of their customers and save you money where they can. I never worry about taking my vehicles here for repairs!

They charge a outrageous amount of money for repairs and to diagnose your car and they really didnt do anything. And they held my car hostage for a whopping $67 dollars which was half the cost of doing nothing just glancing over the car .didint even read trouble codes or even attempt to start the car .all this and they wouldnt even send a bill in the mail ...save your money and go somewhere else .

I scheduled an online appointment. They called me at home to confirm the date and time. I brought the car in at the specified time for the oil change. They took it at the specified time (some places have a delay of up to 1/2 hour before its taken in). I waited for the work to be completed. Half an hour it was done including inspection and topping off fluids. They gave me a $10.00 discount of the full synthetic oil change. Coupon was on their website. Highly recommend them.

Took my lorry in for a medical diagnosis of engine noise. They did a complete vehicle get in touch with images of my vehicle. Was educated every step of the method. My car required other examinations which they called as well as verified before launching. I ended up not needing a fixing currently. I cannot say enough good about Maple Grove Auto. I started working with them way back in 2003 when Conrad was the owner. Since then Mark has taken over and has not skipped a beat when it comes to quality and service for their customers. I went back to Maple Grove Auto after trying out the service dept with another dealership after I made a new car purchase. They were terrible. Never stood behind the work they did, never accurately estimated the time it would take for the repair, charged me for a rental if I didnt want to sit in their waiting room for 4 hours or wait an hour for a courtesy ride. I finally said, Enough!. Maple Grove Autos repair costs were about a third lower than the dealer, they were always done in the time frame that was quoted to me and if I needed a car, they had one for me, free of charge. Not only that, they worked with me to help me resolve other issues that the dealership had ignored. Due to Maple Grove Autos years of experience they were able to help me find solutions. Did they get paid to do that? No. Did that solidify my customer loyalty? You bet! Honestly, I will be a customer of theirs for as long as I live in the Twin Cities. They are that good. I cannot recommend then highly enough!

I switched to Maple Grove Auto Service a couple of years ago because they were close to home and had stellar reviews. They offer quality service and at a reasonable rate. (They are a lot cheaper than the dealership!) They offer extensive service checks with every oil change. They provide a digital checklist of recommended service maintenance. There is no pressure to get any additional service done there. Every employee there is friendly and very knowledgeable.I highly recommend Maple Grove Auto Service!

The mechanic who was working on my car was also very polite giving me all the info about my car and pricing . Brought my vehicle in to have a transmission replaced and rebuilt after I put about $3000 in other repairs in at three weeks earlier this repair cost me another $3500 after picking up the vehicle I drove 50 miles in my engine blew there’s a hole in the side of the block on my motor my motor only has 30,000 miles on it they told me to take it to Chevrolet to have a diagnosis because they said they didn’t do anything wrong Chevrolet discovered that they did indeed do something wrong your mechanic that’s up to get into the intake which dropped into one of the Pistons with blew a hole in the side of my motor they turn it off and insurance company, Insurance company says they’re not going to fix it they want to buy my vehicle out for me not only that they’re lowballing me on the buy out Maple Grove auto is not going to reimburse me for the work that they just performed which equals $7000 and I’m stuck without a vehicle for the last three months when I called the owner to talk to him I had to say was it’s an insurance companies hands it’s not my problem not your problem it’s your company it’s your company. Mark is a con artist every time I brought my vehicle in there they were rack up to thousand dollars worth of repairs every single time this place is garbage your mechanics are garbage the service writers are garbage they’re all garbage they have screwed me over so bad it’s not even funny

In short I was genuinely impressed with the service and pricing. They are upfront and honest and the fact they’re open until 8pm is amazing to me. I would highly recommend!My wife’s car broke down which was upsetting enough especially considering it’s a fairly new car. I called Maple Grove Auto Service and they helped set me up with a tow company. The tow they recommended did a great job as well. I was told it would take them two days before they had the availability to inspect the car. However the very next day they not only had completed the inspection but the repairs as well! That is the definition of under promise over deliver! I also felt the pricing was very reasonable and they were extremely upfront and honest about everything.

I went in with my heat not working properly and explained that when its cooler out, the heat isnt as hot as it should be and it seems to fluctuate in temp with the outside temperature, like the thermostat isnt working. They charged me 62.50 to turn my heat knob all the way up and say that there was heat. When I asked them if all they did was turn the heat knob up, they said that they turned the thermostat up under the hood, but their diagnosis thing they sent me said they turned the heat knob up and there was heat. I also went in to diagnose my headlight. They said they needed to replace the harness, and then a few days later they called me saying they ordered the wrong part and misquoted me and wanted me to pay and extra 200 for everything. Im not impressed with their service.

The staff at MG Auto Service went above and beyond what I expected from a auto service station. They fixed my wheel and even took extra time to help explain what they did. This is the best car repair shop that I have ever dealt with. They are fair and accurate they take care of you and dont mess you around like a lot of other places do. Figuring out what needs to be done with your car with them always seems like friendly conversation. Most importantly of all they listen to the customer. Ive recommended them any number of times to people and Ive never heard a complaint from any of the people that I referred to them.

I havent used this place since I dont live in the area and have a place I trust and go to. If the place I go to closes this is the place I will go to. A friend uses this place for years and its a very good place, very honest people and prices are good. They never seem to push things that arent needed and just tell the truth on whats needed.

My Low Brake Fluid light came on this morning and I chose a random shop (Maple Grove Auto Service) near my work to call and see if I could get in. I talked to Mark and he said they could look at it with no appointment same day! I drove over there and he checked my break pads, filled up my break fluid and talked me through his findings and future care needs and he didnt even charge me for it! They saved me an extra trip and possible emergency!When I brought my car in to have my front brakes replaced, they also checked my rear brakes and found that they were in worse condition than the front ones. The dealer had mis-measured the rear brakes when they recommended replacing the front ones. I had both sets replaced at the same time so my car is safe to drive again especially during the winter!

I had recently moved to Maple Grove from Blaine and had a very reliable and trustworthy mechanic shop in Blaine. I didnt want to part ways with them since it is very hard to find a good mechanic shop that isnt trying to take all your money. I found Maple Grove Auto Service on Google and they had very good ratings from customers. I have an older car that we bought for my son and it wouldnt start. I had it towed to their shop so they could look at it and let them know I would have loved to have the service completed in the next couple days so my son could take his drivers license road test in it. I can honestly say they backed up their raving reviews. I was extremely impressed with the friendliness of the staff, the care they took in understanding what I needed accomplished, and not trying to sell me something I didnt need. And they did all the work in one day!!! Very well done by this shop and I would recommend them to everyone!

These guys are amazing!! We were driving through town on vacation and several warning lights came on in our vehicle. We pulled into Maple Grove on Thursday night at about 7:30. I called them (although they close at 8) they said bring it in and we will take a look. It was a very simple fix, they took care of the issue, cleared the code and topped off our vehicle with oil/anitfreeze and said it was on the house!! Honest people, doing a good job and serving their community. Big thanks to this business!

He later called saying his repair didnt fix the problem, and explained his next steps. He then found the problem, which was difficult to locate, fixed it, and didnt charge for the time he spent earlier. The final price came in lower than his original quote. Great first experience here today. Loaner vehicle since I dropped off before heading to work. Then the team was able to articulate the details of what was wrong with my rear braking system. Being a mechanical engineer I get skeptical at times if things dont seem rational. However, in this instance they were able to break down details of the wear on each break pad and how long ago the calipers likely seized up and why the rotors were damaged. Quick turnaround and competitive price for labor and fairly standard markups on the hardware. Would always be nice to do without the hardware markups, however the loaner car certainly makes it a great value as opposed to taking the time to try and do the work yourself.

I started taking my car for service at Maple Grove Auto in 1984. They have worked on a dozen or so cars Ive owned since then as well. MG Auto has always been my shop of choice and I recommend them to everyone I know. They are friendly, efficient, affordable, and proficient in all that they do. When I have bought used vehicles, they have worked with me to create a maintenance priority list and a timeline to repair or replace so all the expenses didnt hit my wallet at one time. The technicians at MG Auto have helped me keep several cars going strong well past the 200K mile mark. I never worry that the work they do on my car(s) isnt first rate. My wife and our three kids all bring their cars to MG Auto.

When do you find an honest mechanic? It is like seeing a blue moon or finding a needle in a haystack. Consider your search over when you use JORDAN as your mechanic at Maple Grove Auto Service. He has:1. Saved me a 1000 dollars in car repairs that were not needed. A previous place told me my struts were busted when they are NOT. Instead all I needed was maintenance.2. He found a leaky oil injector that would have caused major damage to my car if not fixed. Whew.3. He told me that NO, I dont need to buy a new car, mine is great and can run for a long time. Saving me the small fortune it costs to buy a new car and pay car payments.4. He explained in detail, in ENGLISH, what is going on with my car and why I needed to do x, y and z changes to it.5. He treated me as a female as a real life human being and not a dumb idiot blonde.JORDAN has ethics. Wow. So refreshing. And you know what? It wasnt a small fortune to have my car fixed. They also have free loaner cars. I was strongly using JORDAN as your mechanic. Ask for him by name. He is they guy I am taking my car too now.

They will con you! Went for an oil change and they changed out half my oil and that was it. Pan and filter was on loose, they do not put in new parts because they will not let you see what they are doing. If you are a minority, do not stop at this. I recommend you diy or find a reliable mechanic.

I will not be returning to this auto service location. I have had multiple occasions where the work was not done completely, and the technicians appeared to be incompetent at their job. This past summer I had to replace my rear brake pads while I was out of state. My car started to make a terrible metal scraping sound while driving, so I brought it in. The technicians informed me that there were no sounds, and I would have to get used to this. Very frustrated, I went to another dealership where they right away found that the brake pads were installed incorrectly and that there were burn marks on the routers. MGAS would have had me keep driving this way.More recently I brought my car in for two new tires, alignment, and to check the brakes as I am having trouble on the front brakes now. I made the appointment and they assured me all of the work would get done in 30 minutes. I thought that was a short time frame, so I called back to double check. They assured me that all 3 tasks would get done. I arrived late due to traffic, but they said they could still get me in. After the work was done I asked how the brakes turned out. Shockingly the receptionist claimed to not see the brakes anywhere on the memo, and claimed that they only changed out the tires. I mentioned the story above, and he simply laughed saying that the technicians on Friday afternoons are not very with it-??Being a busy person, I do not have time to waste on services that are not done completely. Simply laughing off work that was not done is incredibly unprofessional. If I was too late for all of the work to be done, they should have come out and said so and I would have gladly made another appointment. The people are nice enough on the phone and are easy to talk to, but I highly question their capabilities and professionalism.

I have been going to Maple Grove Auto Service for nearly 15 years now. They do the work right, and the people are friendly, knowledgeable and great to deal with. But mostly because they are honest. They tell you whats wrong in a manner that is easy to understand and tell you exactly what needs to be fixed now, and what can wait until later. I just had my car in for a major repair, and they reminded me to do some deferred maintenance at the same time, and it saved me almost half the cost of the deferred maintenance since they were working on that part of the car anyway.I was originally sold on this shop a number of years ago when I took my car in. The owner called me later that day and told me they had found the problem to be the fuel pump. He went on to say that the new mechanic had accidentally fried the cars computer at the same time. I was told that the shop was covering the total cost of the computer repair! How many shops wouldnt just tell you the problem was the fuel pump and the computer?I have had nothing but excellent service with things fixed right the first time, and recommend this shop to friends all the time.
