Adam N came out and did a tune up on my AC and furnace today and the entire process was smooth and I appreciated him explaining everything to me after he was done. He outlined my next steps and was very professional and answered all my questions. Both my units are older so he was honest in his assessment of what I should do going forward as winter is coming. I thanked him and let him know that I’ll reach out to him if I have any other questions.

Ethan showed up on time and was extremely professional from the beginning. Explained exactly what was going to be done in a very clear and professional manner. He did the work and even provided me with a cool video showing me what was done. He even dusted and cleaned the inside of my furnace. Very impressed with Ethan and the communication from deans hone services!

Seth patiently worked through my list of electrical items I wanted estimated, answering questions, providing information and offering advice about different options. He’s squeezing in the repairs and updates into his schedule before I am out of town on business, which I really appreciate - both that he can work with my schedule and that he’ll be back to do the work himself, since he’s already familiar with what needs to be done. Josh S and Coleman fixed my clogged sink this morning. They did it quickly and efficiently, and were very polite to me and my daughter while they worked in my home. Very nice boys! Would definitely hire them again. :)

Just received a quote from Kelly at Dean’s home services. Very knowledgeable, very frank and answered all the questions I had. The questions she couldn’t answer, she called up her team and setup same day appointments to get an electrician and plumber out to my home! very impressed with the level of professionalism and how responsive this company operates.

Ian and Drew installed a bath fan. They did a really great job. First, the work that was sold had been well communicated, so I didnt have to re-explain everything. That is such an important part of the whole process. Then they did a great job accessing hard-to-reach crawl space areas, as well as cleaning up after cutting new space for the unit. The walkthrough afterwards was quite helpful and informative. Loved this service and happy to finally have it completed. I will definitely use Deans again.

I would never do business with this company again. They refuse to provide any pricing info over the phone, even basic hourly rates so you have a general understanding of how they come up with charges. It makes it impossible to compare prices, and they know it. Im quite sure it is intentional. They require a $50 truck fee to come out and give an estimate, which is fine, but by that time the customer is already somewhat trapped, especially if you have an urgent plumbing matter. The technician charged me $650 for a job that LITERALLY took half an hour to complete: replacing 2 shut off valves. Very routine, very quick, very easy. I was stuck accepting their highway robbery price because it was a leak that shouldnt continue over night till the next day. On top of that, they require a credit card up front to hold your appointment, but promise they wont charge it without authorization. Fine. I told them I was going to pay via check. But they went ahead and charged my credit card anyway without authorization, and I had to have it reversed. Just another hassle for a ridiculously overpriced service.

Matthew from Deans did an annual check of our plumbing systems. As the new owner of the house, I was unfamiliar with the equipment and he did a very thorough review of all of the systems and some nuances of the local area (hard water). Very impressed with his knowledge!

Look, I dont know how one more negative review of these people is going to make a difference, but for what its worth, theyre pushy, condescending, and keen to make as much money off you as they can. They insisted that my main sewer line was blocked badly enough that it needed excavation. When I mentioned that another company suggested just trying to get the line cleaned again, they got downright hostile: Youre BLOCKED. As far as Im concerned this is damaged pipe! Oh, and my favorite: I dont know HOW youre not already backed up. (Sir, do you think Im...lying to you about not being backed up?? Nah, youre just trying to make me nervous.) I got a regular cable cleaning from Cardinal Services, which cleared out the tree root culprits and confirmed my pipe is in totally fine shape. Try at least one specialized local company before you resort to Deans.

As with anything product or service, we shop around and compare several factors, one of them being price. I prefer not to do electrical work and looked to Deans to quote a simple electrical job of installing a ceiling fan. Their website offered a way to upload a short, narrated video describing the problem/job. Sweet! I liked the concept and thought this would be a breeze. Getting to the very end of the booking, there was a notice that there would be a travel fee assessed JUST FOR THE ESTIMATE. It didnt make sense as I uploaded a video which shows literally what the tech would be seeing if he/she made the trip. Confused, I called the main line and the receptionist confirmed the travel charge would be assessed, not applied to the final purchase of services and said they do not quote over the phone. So whats the point of uploading a narrated video? Also, two other electricians did give me quotes based on the same information provided to Deans. Not a new customer friendly process (travel fee waived for those with service contracts) and wont be looking to them in the future.

The technician visiting our house was Kelly Robichon. She is very kind, knowledgeable and caring professional. She went a mile further by sharing her knowledge and directing us towards solving accompanying house problems, that resulted by our broken AC system. We appreciate her expertise very much!

Tyler, from Dean’s Home services, was excellent. He came to do plumbing repairs. He explained everything very clearly. He made sure we were comfortable with everything that came up, before doing any repairs.Owning an older home, there are always unexpected surprises. So, we were not surprised when a couple other issues came up. We thought the prices were reasonable for the work that had to be done, and we appreciated the heads up. Tyler had a new employee, Suzanne, shadowing him. I appreciated that Dean’s did this because so many people are just thrown into jobs these days with no training or on boarding. It’s nice to see a company setting up their employees for success, not failure. Both of them were very friendly, and were good at making us feel comfortable with them in our home, right away. We were so impressed with them that we will definitely be using Dean’s Home Services again.

Our 20 year old water has been aging gracefully, but just wasnt keeping up anymore. The final straw was when it sprung a small leak. We decided to get it replaced before it sprang a larger leak.Mike came out the same day we called and did a great job answering our questions and adapting to our request of drilling it down to facts, specs, and price. We also got lucky and were able to get on the schedule the next day. We were impressed.Brad was the one who installed the water heater, and he was a joy to chat with. I cant believe how fast he had the old one out and the new one in, all while chatting with me the entire time. We needed next day service to repair a leaky pipe that required shut off of our water. The technician that came out was top notch, extremely knowledgeable and respectful--and arrived as scheduled. The price point though was quite unreasonable, which seems to be a pattern in these reviews. The technician was here under an hour and charged us $800. He did a good job of explaining the cost for this basic job, but that does not make up for the price gauging that occurred. My advice: do your homework and get several quotes before choosing Deans.

Gavin came to unclog my bathroom sink and was so kind and professional. He was quick and efficient, but did spend time just chatting and getting to know me. He was great with my large dog and made me feel really comfortable. Thanks to him, my sink is draining better than it has since we bought the house a little over a year ago!

We had Matthew L out to check over our water heater and water softener. He was very professional and helpful. Made some good recommendations, including a few different options on how to move forward. We are very happy with Dean’s and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

They should do a much better job of explaining their charges. They charge a flat fee regardless of how simple the repair it. I had a simple faucet valve replaced. The repair took less than 15 minutes and the bill was $611.00 I thought the repair was going to be more extensive when explained to me what the problem might be, so signed off on it, but when the valve was installed, I wasnt given an option of a lower price for an inexpensive repair that used a $15 part and 15 minutes of time. Better yet, when it was obvious it was going to be an inexpensive repair, I would have gladly paid the travel charge and a fair price and should have been given the option of proceeding with the repair. I consider this price gouging, regardless of what their policy is. I wish I would have done more research and contacted different plumbing companies. They advertise on 107.1 MyTalk and one of the co-hosts recommended them, so I felt they must be good. So disappointed that they are not even willing to negotiate to a more reasonable charge. Their customer service person just kept repeating their policy clearly states they charge a flat fee, regardless of whether your job is takes 15 minutes or 10 hours. So the people that get 10 hours worth of services, the rest of us are picking up most of their charges. Do your research. Ask around for pricing. Dont rely on a recommendation from an ad.

Web ad advertises $49 drain cleaning- on hold message says upfront pricing, booking agent tells me only the tech will give price upon inspection (after $49 travel fee). This inconsistency in messaging is a red flag. I had to cancel appointment.

Had to have a plumber come out and check on the home. What we got was exactly what we needed and more. Our technician, Garvin, was personable, highly training, collaborative, and accommodating. He took a look at the plumbing situation and walked us through the various options for consideration. We were given all the information we needed to make the right decision for our situation. This is exactly how it should be. Thank you Deans for your help. You are lucky to have Garvin in your ranks. Kudos!

Bryan arrived right on time. Very knowledgeable and personable young guy. Introduced himself to us and our 2 crazy dogs. They liked him straight away. Gave us our electrical check up. We want to add a 50 Amp service to accommodate our 5th wheel. Our panel is 42 years old, so we decided to upgrade that as well. Our quote was very reasonable and fair. Only good things to report about Deans home services. We have been a customer for many many years. Great job Bryan and Thank You to the whole company.

Eric was professional and courteous all the way around. He explained everything in a way I could understand. It was cool because a lot of home service professionals (mainly men, lets be honest) tend to speak down to women and as a home owner, I appreciated the respect. Had a faucet replaced on a pedestal sink in our smallish, main-floor half-bath. Pedestal sinks are, by nature, more cumbersome and time-consuming because of their compact design and difficult access.Nick was honest about the work needed and also recommended an upgrade to the acorn-style shut-off valves, a low-end feature often used by builders to cuts costs.The overall cost was higher than I expected, but I had tried to fix the faucet myself and realized it was a much more difficult proposition than i originally believed, helping me to justify the cost.Nick was thorough and competent, the work was done well and in an efficient, timely manner. Im very pleased with the work done and the one-year warranty that came along with it.I will use Deans again without hesitation.

Eric B. is the absolute best! He took time out of his evening to help me with my air conditioner that is no longer working. He warned me about my air conditioner possibly being on the fritz last summer and he was right. I called the number on Eric’s card he gave to me last summer and he called me back to help the same night, although he had way more important things going on, like his young son learning a new skill! He booked me for the soonest appointment available, helped me figure out the best way to finance what I need to have done, and he was so kind the entire time. I cannot recommend him enough!Then, I asked him to recommend a plumber to fix and replace some very old faucet/leaking/out-dated shower issues, and he was able to book an appointment for me, with Eric W. Both Eric W. and Eric B. visited the house to take measurements and provide recommendations. Although my house was not in the condition I’d like it to be in when there are visitors, both of them were extremely professional, nice, and didn’t make me feel uncomfortable with the fact that my house was not ready for inspection.One more important thing to mention is both Eric B. and Eric W. listened to me regarding the quality of the products I’d like in my home as well as the price I am able to afford. They were both very knowledgeable and able to provide me with options that met both of my requests.I 100% recommend this company and I will call them again when I need home services. Peder did a great job. He was on time and professional. This is an old house with its own set of idiosyncrasies but Peder was able to do what needed to be done., installing 2 wall sconces, replacing switches, and installing a ceiling fan in a challenging position.This was our second time using Dean’s and we have been very pleased both times.I recommend them wholeheartedly if you want a job done right by experienced technicians.

Our 17 year old a/c died and Deans was able to get an electrician and a/c technician out really quickly which lead to a sales woman, Kelly, coming out the same day. She was great to work with and we ended up deciding on a new air conditioner, furnace and a mini-split to our 3 season room. our install scheduled sooner than I was expecting. The install crews, lead by josh, Trevor and Barry, showed up on time and got right to work. After talking with them I realized there might be a better alternative to the humidity in the basement than the original plan. They worked with the sales team and managers to make sure we got what we needed in the most efficient way. I was really impressed with how well the teams worked together and it ended up saving us a significant amount of money.From the service to sales to install, the process was really smooth. The other important thing to me was that they all spoke highly of the company and how they treat their employees. I would recommend Deans.

First time using Deans home services. We have a shower that needs a replacement. Mike Braun was out today to review the problem and also did a thorough inspection of our home. My water heater began leaking carbon monoxide unexpected late on a sunday - Mike responded my off hours text very quickly and helped me get an appointment scheduled first thing Monday morning. By 11am, Brad was at our house and quickly and painlessly had new water heater installed by 12:30. No mess, everything looks great and its all fixed in less than 24 hours!Both Mike and Brad were great and working with Deans was a very organized and professional experience.

The circuit breaker to our ac unit kept tripping so the ac was not working. Not ideal when it’s 96 degrees out. Turns out that particular breaker was bad. I was presented with 3 options initially, one that cost $2k, $5k, $10k. No other options were presented initially and I was led to believe the situation was worse then it was. Had my step dad not been a master electrician, I would have spent way more money then I needed to. I only ended up paying $300 and when my step dad took a look he said the unit was fine. I can’t help but think of all the people who have been in similar situations as me who’ve overpaid for things they didn’t need to. I was very put off by the situation. At least buy me a drink before you try to screw me next time.

I called Deans to service our tankless hot water heater, which we assumed needed to be replaced. Erik arrived and quickly assessed the heater and was very knowledgeable and friendly. I could tell he was experienced but also genuine and not pushy. He had a team out to install the new heater within the hour. The two men who came for that (Brad and Scott) were also very friendly and efficient. They all seemed to work and communicate well together. I highly recommend the quality, timeliness and professionalism of this company. I will definitely be using them for future needs.

My sump pump quit working and Mike from Deans came out and put in a new one. He had to schedule for another day when it was convenient for me to do the pluming outside. Steve and Nathan came out to put in the new pluming line for me. They all did great work and were very informative.

I scheduled for Deans to come replace a leaky exterior water spigot. I was a little concerned with the long arrival window of 8am-6pm, but was happy to hear they would call me 30-45 minutes before arriving. The office called me at 7:55am and informed me that my plumber, Eric, would be arriving in 30-45 minutes. I received a text and an email with his picture and a short bio. He arrived promptly at 8:15 and we walked through the issue I was having and he showed me multiple options for repair and went over the pricing. Once I selected the work to be performed, he immediately got to work. About an hour later he was done and walked me through his work. He was very thorough and friendly. I would highly recommend Eric W. He did a great job and I really liked that he emailed before and after pictures along with the invoice before he left. He was punctual, fast, friendly and did great work! I highly recommend!

Needed an outside/hose faucet replaced. Deans was able to come out the next morning - so scheduling was very convenient. Mike B was our plumber & couldnt have been more pleasant! It was Labor Day Weekend in MN and our toilet started leaking, really really leaking into the basement. There were no plumbers to be found. Except Dean. Dean came out the following week. Scott Buss and his associate came out and installed the new toilet (which we LOVE) and stopped the leak! They were personable, professional, neat and very quick.

We were able to get a new mini-split AC system installed without a long wait, which was a blessing in this hot summer weather. Josh and team did a great job, involving us in a few decisions that needed to be made, explaining things, and leaving everything clean and in good shape when they finished. It was a really good experience all around.

I would give the plumbers Brad & David a 5 star rating. I would give Erik & the office/customer service a 1 star. $s for my rebate on water heater still not here after 9 weeks. They say one thing & they do something else. They treat their customers poorly.

They will cancel essential service appointments and then put you at the back of the queue 10+ days later for re-scheduling their failure. If youre just kind of goofing around, go ahead and use them. If you have stuff you actually need to get done, find somebody else. Anybody else.

I recently signed up with Deans for home maintenance. Deans is a rip off. You would expect that being a member with Deans would result in top notch, quick service but that is not the case. When I scheduled an electrical repair for an outlet, Deans cancelled on me last minute two days in a row. This is also not the first time I was rescheduled. When they finally came out, I was way overcharged for a simple task. I was left with no other options because I needed my outlet and didnt have time to shop around. They worked with me by offering a fraction back. I will never use Deans again and I would highly recommend others look for a more affordable option who will show up when they say they will.

DEANS HOME SERVICE has again proved to be the BEST out there for Home repair services and are very personable people. This past week Jeff came out to our home to discuss different options for a new furnace and Air Conditioning unit we needed. As he was walking in our front door he noticed our older neighbor having some difficulty outside in her driveway. He told me right away so we immediately went over to help her. It was a good thing because she has dementia and could have fallen and really gotten injured or worse. Their family was very appreciative of our help. If Jeff hadnt brought the issue to me, the situation could have ended badly. Not only did we get great service that day, but mostly, we were impressed with how Jeff was a good neighbor.

Deans non-refundable travel fee is a scam. Instead of sending a qualified person as requested, they send a salesman that then sets up an appointment with the actual qualified person for doing the work. The non-refundable fee is for the salesman! When I told this salesman I didnt think I should pay the fee for just coming out to set up an appointment he became visibly agitated. I felt threatened in my own house. Now their customer service manager will not return my calls. Go with any other service.

Top notch communication. Got a call from them to confirm schedule, and a text from the tech coming out, with a picture of himself and a description of his background. They diagnosed and quoted the repair quickly and will have our new water heater installed next day.

The tech Mike and his apprentice Nathan were able to make it out within an hour of my initial call! Our water softener leaked water through the ceiling overnight into the main level. Mike was super good at explaining things to me in a way I can understand while he did the diagnostic assessment of our problem. He was very knowledgeable, professional, and easy to talk with! Dean’s works with a water restoration company as well so there is a tag team dynamic for continuity with clean up and repairs. We are all set up to have a new water softener installed next week, we should be contacted by the restoration contractors soon, and we signed on for their yearly plan as well!

Scott and his son, Nathan did an excellent job replacing my bath fixtures and plumbing . They maintained contact with the building super and were extremely professional. They also said they would return to cut the pipe to the correct length once a shower insert was installed, and put on the new fixtures. I would recommend them highly.

I would definitely call Dean’s again! Super responsive for waking up Monday morning to a clogged kitchen sink. Josh S was very nice and easy to work with.

Making an appointment was very easy and there were many times available to fit my schedule, could have had an appointment the next day if needed (so hard to find right now). Nick showed up on time, was so courteous, knowledgeable, and left the area spotless. I have a new faucet, no more under-sink leaks, and a new go-to for home repairs!

Ive been a Deans home club member for a few years now and so glad that I chose them. Ive always been the guy to spend hours researching to save a few bucks. And what Ive found with Deans is affordability, quality, and convenience.Whenever you need a service like this, its inconvenient. Something bad has happened. And the last thing I want to do is research and call around. Its so convenient for me to just hop on the website and schedule an appointment. I also know that Im going to get a fair rate and they are going to provide a good service.Just yesterday we had a flood in our basement with our mainline backing up due to some clogging. Deans were able to come within 24 hours and clear it out. I really appreciated Dylan O. He was very professional, friendly, and efficient.Their team works well together with scheduling and giving heads up. I highly recommend them!

We had a technician named Tyler, he was awesome, I was unable to be home however my wife was able to be there, he made sure to do a thorough inspection on all of our plumbing and diagnose are issue rather fast. He also did a fantastic job explaining how everything works our options as to what to fix and how, and our different payment options. Not only did he explain all this to my wife but he made sure he was able to speak with both of us and make sure we understood everything before we moved forward.By far the best plumbing company out there I talked with a couple other companies such as Hero and Ben Franklin and none of them even step to the professionalism, responsiveness, timeliness, or quality of work as Deans. Not only was Tyler a beyond exceptional technician but there office was great too.I will be a dean’s customer for life.

Brandon was very nice. He did diagnostics on my AC and gave me cost for multiple options. He was also thorough and explained all options and how it worked and if i did not he was patient until I was clear.. if all the employees in this company are as nice and helpful.. this company has not given up customer service and it is heart warming to have that still in our society.

Awesome people, we’ve used in past and they came out to honor a service plan that had expired. They checked all plumbing and gave me great recommendations and an estimate for each thing that we need to do in future. So helpful and friendly!!!

Even though we needed to get a new system, I felt confident I was getting the best rate and service. Very kind, warm and smart. My AC stopped working during the heat wave. Another company came out to diagnose the issue, said it was electrical, and did not finish the repair. After waiting for more than a week, I finally called Deans. I put in a electronic request, they called promptly and were able to fit me in within 24 hours. They even followed up with the request to contact me within 20 min of arriving (no one else did that!). The team came out, they found the problem the first guy couldnt fix and got my AC working in no time! Color me impressed. Super friendly, no frills, walked me through the issues and recommended next steps. I rarely schedule the next services the same day, but I did. Seth and Bryan were amazing! I will be calling them for any issues in the future.

We had Maurice W come out to service our tub drain that was clogged. Getting the service scheduled was a breeze and he came out within 24 hours. He was on-time, professional, and friendly. He was also extremely knowledgeable for us first time home owners and was thorough with explaining everything. He resolved our issue quickly, and our drain is now draining better than it ever has. He went above and beyond to even check on a couple questions we had while he was here, and got the answers immediately. Would definitely recommend Deans, and Maurice W in particular for your next service!

We had an appointment scheduled with Deans to come out and hook up a kitchen sink. The afternoon of the day they were supposed to be here, someone called to tell me that the plumber was no longer available to do the service and we would be left without a working kitchen sink for three days until they could reschedule. THREE DAYS? No thanks. Not interested in taking my chances with Deans again. Completely unprofessional.

When we called for service we were offered an appointment the next day! Brad installed a water shut off valve for my outside faucet as well as a new faucet to replace the leaky one outside. He arrived exactly when expected and did a great job. He was friendly and professional. He explained everything he needed to do at the beginning and then showed me everything that was done at the end. Wonderful experience. Thank you!

We called Dean’s for a plumbing issue on Monday and we decided to have our Ducts cleaned out while we were at it. Ethan F. was over within the hour cleaning out our vents. He was fast, efficient and professional. Highly recommend him.

My appointment today was a plumbing preventative maintenance evaluation as part of Deans membership program. Matthew and Luke conducted a thorough evaluation in, under, and around all sinks, toilets, and the bath tub. The water heater was flushed also while they were here. I was having a recent problem with my garbage disposal, so they took a look at that too, and suggested that I either have it replaced, or removed altogether. They were very professional, personable, and friendly. They took the time to explain the reasons why they were doing what they were doing at each step along the way. All the way around, the appointment was a positive experience, and it left me feeling that both Matthew and Luke were knowledgeable in their field, and I would call Deans in the future should I need further assistance in this area.
