The modems they provided to our complex are so bad they reach a max speed of 25mbps and wanna charge $35 a month. An absolutely complete joke, I had better internet service in Djibouti Africa.
The absolute worst internet I have ever seen. I had better internet in IRAQ. Should be a crime to sell this internet. Shame. We asked them to come and check it out and they never did. Whole company is a scheme.
Our monthly bill kept rising and we had a lot of service issues so we cancelled cable and our landline in May 2021, leaving internet as our only service through Consolidated Communications. A service charge of nearly $500 was placed on our account and we were told it would be removed when they received our cable equipment. I sent the equipment by FedEx on May 18 and received confirmation of its successful delivery on May 20. The charge still showed on our account for several weeks so I contacted the company by email and phone and was told it would be removed soon and was assured that auto pay was disabled so it would not come out of our account on June 9, our due date. On June 4 the equipment charges were finally removed so I paid our bill in full ($60.23) that day with a credit card, 5 days before our bill was due. This morning I discovered that Consolidated Communications had charged $560.21 on my debit card - even with autopay disabled - for equipment they had received and for internet charges ($60.23) that had already been paid!I had been warned by a friend to document EVERYTHING when returning equipment to this company because they had a similar experience. I feel obliged to leave this review so I can caution others to do the same.

If I had a choice for companies, CCI would be my last option. 3 months of billing problems, the channel guide says “Judge Judy” and I end up with NASCAR on that channel..... 80% of the time the channel guide is incorrect, but no one ever offers to look into the problem!!!!
Our experience with CCI has been poor at best. In our area, there are only two communication services. Ive had long phone wait times for tech support and customer service. If you send an email, its never answered. Techs try to help, but most of the time they have to send out a technician. It takes days to get an appointment. Tech support has been here three times in the past 6 months. Im always told CCI is having problems in our area. Sick of it and the alternative isnt much better.Update: September 5th a.m. service call. Randy fixed our problem in a short time. He was great to work with. Now to call customer service for a 5 day no service refund.
They need to realize that they aren’t the only game in town. It’s beyond me how a company can think that they can provide such a poor performing product and not lose customers. Up until this year their saving grace was that their customer service team at least seemed like they they were trying to help. Not so much anymore. We switched companies and won’t ever be back.

October 28, 2020 Was due to have a technician come out to set up internet. The technician was a no call no show. This after taking a week of running around as they never updated their system that my back bill in collections was paid for. And I was the one who had to do all the calling for their screw up. Then had to wait over a week for todays appointment as it was the less missed time from work. Now if I choose to stay with them I will have to miss even more work to sit around and wait for a technician and hope he actually shows up. My service and customer service with Spectrum was tons better. May just have to go back to them. November 17, 2020 still no internet. Been dealing with them for over a month now just to get my internet hooked up. Was told to email them. Did that and received one response the next day days ago. Sense then nothing.
I have this internet provider at my office. Our internet constantly stops working, so we reboot the modem. Then after a few minutes it comes back, only to fail again a while later. I have had two techs out here and they say the internet is fine. I have been given a new modem, and yet the issue persists. I called the help desk today and tried to go over this with someone on the phone and went through three technicians before I finally hung up.
Absolute joke of a company. Claim to be the best for online gaming and have high download speeds but its just not true. I currently cant even play any games because of their god awful internet. Go to any other company. Overpriced and terrible internet.
Completely awful. i just moved into my apartment which is supposed to have internet INCLUDED. through this company and can’t even attempt to set it up because every time i call they either can’t help me because i don’t have a piece of information or they HANG UP ON ME! the people i talked to were absolutely terrible, they were very rude and didn’t even try to help me. i never write reviews but this was so bad that i had to.
What a complete waste of a company. I waited 4 weeks for them to do something that could be done remotely in literally 5 minutes or less. All my classes are online, this company has been such an absolute waste of my time. How are you even up and running? Jesus Christ. I thought Nuvera was bad, no way. This is by far the worst company I have ever done business with. Help lines are not helpful and they run you in a loop. Probably called their help at least 4 times, every single time they need some other piece of information that I don’t have. In a million years I would NEVER choose this company as my internet provider. I don’t think they’ve upgraded their tech in the last 20 years.
If I could give negative stars i would! They are horrible. One the internet is so slow for what you pay for. And to top it all off today i got a notice of disconnect for them not taking the scheduled payment out of my account when it was made DAYS prior. they took the payment out two days later from my due date and i the notice i got was dated that day! If i had any other options of internet where i live i would change in a heart beat. But they are the only ones that provide where i live. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM!!!
I would never go through this company if they werent provided through my apartment complex. Outages are normal occurrences, to the point where when my internet was out for two days, I assumed it wasnt worth my time to call again, and it would eventually be fixed. 2 days later I call, after 4 days of no internet, to be told that I wouldnt be able to have a technician come for another week. What a joke. P.S. the internet is also slow as can be.

Internet constantly drops. Whenever a technician is needed to come out they don’t have one available for 3-4 days (probably cause they’re so busy helping others who have had their internet drop so much too). Very slow. I wish I could switch providers but this is what my apartment goes with. If you have the ability to choose providers. Stay away from consolidated. Would give 0 stars if I could.
Update- continue horrible customer service. And dont bother trying to get any help online as their chat doesnt even work. Also tried to run an internet speed test and it said my internet connection was too slow to do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are you kidding me?!?!?!?!?!?!?!Terrible internet service, unfortunately it is the only option for cable and internet where I live. Customer service is always incredibly difficult to deal with as they have no idea what is going on, you have to spend hours on the phone explaining it to them, they say they will follow up the next day and do not. Then when you call again to check on the status there is no record of having ever called, so you get to start all over. Also, do not trust what customer service tells you as you will hear something different every person you talk to, and none of them will have any idea what the others were talking about. It is as if they are all looking in entirely different systems.When my internet went down recently (on a Thursday) I was PROMISED by customer service that it would be fixed within 24 hours. I called back when it still wasnt up and running and was told by another person that it would actually not be fixed until Monday. I let him know I needed to work from home at 6am on Monday morning and he said he would expedite my order to the top of the list to have it fixed on Saturday. Didnt happen. I then called AGAIN on Monday morning to check on the status and was told it would be fixed between 8am-12pm. Was not even contacted until after 1pm, after missing almost an entire day of work.If you have any other options, DO NOT GET CABLE OR INTERNET THROUGH CONSOLIDATED. You will be thoroughly disappointed and frustrated.
Great internet! If your a gamer like me I would get this internet because it has really high speeds and works well overall I usually connect using ethernet and it makes my gaming internet 10x more stable, I strongly recommend this to gamers, I have 25mbps and I almost never lag!
Mike was great! Didnt mind the kids being in his business asking questions and wanting to help. Even with the kids around he got things done fast and efficiently! Was easy to talk to and very polite. Really appreciated his work! Would recommend services to others!
Internet speed is slow at best. Only offered a take it or leave it option for pricing. If I call to complain about poor service I get told its as good as it gets. Bad service would be an improvement
Absolutely terrible. I had a satellite dish back in the 90’s that was more reliable than this service. Equipment is just junk. Good luck getting 6 months out of it before you have to have it replaced. If you have to have service, it’s spotty at best. Last appointment set up was a no show. Guy showed up a day late and gave my 14 year old attitude because no one was home. They also are pretty shady with internet speeds. You have to do speed test weekly to ensure you’re getting the sipped you paid for.
Worst internet experience I’ve ever had. Currently on a 20mb plan (enough to stream and cover most needs). Though I’m experiencing anywhere from .2-3mb at any given time (over a minute to load basic websites).

I have been a customer for about a year now. Their internet is okay when it works. It slows down at about 9pm then works fine after 11pm. But in that span of 2 hours it is unusable. I feel like i am still living in 1995 and still have AOL.
I’ve never been so disappointed with customer service. The man I spoke to was very rude, he laughed whenever I asked a question, and overall- didn’t fix my problem that should’ve easily been done. My roommates and I recently upgraded to the highest WiFi, and it hasn’t been working. The man I spoke to, made me feel so stupid. I would NOT recommend this business/ service to anyone.
Ive had Consolidated as my ISP for 10+ years now, and havent experienced the same spotty connection as many other reviewers. At least not for the last 5 years.My partner is the male version of a Let me speak to your manager Karen, and hounded them multiple times per week for months over our disconnection issues.After blaming us, they finally sent someone out to look around. Turns out it was a random wire just kind of...hanging out in the dirt, not connected to anything.Youd think that would be caught during the initial installation.But I digress.Just dropped them last week for a local competitor offering 35mbps for $20/month, which has so far been very consistent and reliable.Thats in stark contrast to what I was paying Consolidated; $65 for 9mbps down/0.5mbps up IF were lucky.And thats with a $10 discount.That means this company has the gall to charge $75 for DSL speeds...in 2020.Id have given 3 stars but I suspect shenanigans.On the monthly bill it says our plan is internet pro broadband, but the FCCs definition of broadband is at least 25mbps down and 3mbps up.I have a pretty good idea that over the years theyve been upping our plan (and price), but conveniently forgetting to replace our ancient DSL modem with newer equipment capable of such speeds.And they were ready and rearing to charge us nearly $200 for said ancient equipment had we not returned it to their local office, where I spent an awkward few minutes staring at the wall waiting for the front desk lady to acknowledge me.Waiting any day now to get a bill for that $200 anyway.But thats not a fair assumption to make -quite- yet.
Cable and Internet both quit working. Was told multiple times that someone would be sent to fix it. No one showed up to do so. Went into the location to speak to someone in person, guy behind the counter acted like he could care less. Called again for the 5th time and was asked by the tech if the delayed response time was ok. Extremely unprofessional and NOT how a company should treat their customers.
Im genuinely surprised that their Google rating isnt lower. My roommates and I are paying for 25mbps but we barely get 10 on a good day. Weve called multiple times and if we do get better speeds after these phone calls, it only lasts for 30 minutes MAX. Watching Netflix/Hulu/Youtube is a nightmare most days. You wanna play games online? Not happening, youll repeatedly get disconnected. The only reason we didnt go with another provider is because Consolidated was the only one wired for the apartments were in. If you have a choice, choose a different one.Edit: we’ve had MULTIPLE outages over the last few days and when we called we were told someone would come the next day to take a look. No one came the next day or even called back. Nice to know how much they don’t care!!
Weve had Hickory Tech/Enventis/Consolidated prior to our move out of town and again after our return. Ive found their service to be affordable and effective. Theyve handled concerns quickly and politely and their service is consistent and reliable. I much prefer them to the other cable company in town.
Worst company i have ever dealt with. I tried not to be biased, but i ordered the service, and they did not show up for my appointment after i waited four hours. Because it was the weekend, i could not reach anyone until Monday—they shipped me a modem to set up myself, i received it, and it does not work. Their tech support said i would have to go exchange it for one that does, even though this was supposed to be new. I have been dealing with this for over a week now. If you appreciate your time, you will not waste it with this joke of a company.

I can’t put into words how frustrated I am with this ‘company’ and their shenanigans. I’ve taken so many days off from my job to sit around all day waiting for them to show up just to get a cord for the box they dropped off. This is the third day that I’ve had an appointment and take enough work for them to come to my apartment and drop one off and they have not showed up. I do not understand why landlords keep hiring them for services. When I called some lady named Naya or something swore at me on the phone. When I called before that I talk to a guy who gave me the runaround and ridiculed me. There is more to the company that I would like to share but unfortunately I don’t have the time to do it after sitting around waiting for them all day.
Horrible sales and customer service practically begged me not to get an extra service. Telling me a charge for the eve system and installation and made it sound like an inconvenience to them! I said no thanks!

I didnt actually get internet with this company. My experience was terrible. I literally tried for weeks to have it set up. I dealt with an endless stream of incorrect information and a lack of willingness to offer any solutions. Once, an employee put me on hold for 20 minutes to transfer me to someone else. The phone rang, and the same employee picked up. I started to let her know that I was the same person she had tried to transfer, and once I started talking, she put me back on hold without responding to me. I waited for another 10 minutes before hanging up to try later. I kept at it, because, like many others, I thought I didnt have any other choice.Out of desperation, I started calling other companies in the area to see if anyone would provide service to my home. FYI - Im in Nicollet, and LTD Broadband was able to help. I have no complaints about the internet service or customer service with them.

Mankato needs more internet options, or the Better Business Bureau needs to step in! This is not a professional company that can hold accountability or offer reliable services! Here’s the example. Our internet went out with the storm on a Wednesday, we called Thursday to get support. They couldn’t do it over the phone, and the earliest this “company” could not get someone out to my house to fix it was the following Wednesday!!! That person came, parked in the driveway, went to look at the box outside and left! No knock on the door, nothing! My daughter, myself, and two dogs who bark at any noise were home. He tried calling my husband at work, my husband was on the phone with a client. My husband called him back... 4 times! No answer! We then called tech support who couldn’t get someone out for 2 more days. By the way, I live in Mankato, MN. Tech support is in Dallas, TX! We are now 9 days out without internet (it’s Friday at this point) A guy comes, my daughter lets him in. He looks at the modem, 5 minutes later says it’s fixed and leaves. No verification with my daughter to make sure she had internet. I come home from work at 4:30, no internet! I called tech support, (back in Dallas, TX) who tells me they can’t get anyone back out until MONDAY!!! SO 12 days later, and we’ll see if they send me another incompetent employee or one that can actually fix it! I have a small business and 2 teenagers that need internet to do homework! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!! We are now searching for a new internet provider!

Paying $60+ a month for internet and it rarely connects. Better to just use your hotspot. At max we get 2 mb download and 200 kbs upload.
My landline telephone quit so I called customer service in Mankato. I was very happy with the professional and chipper customer service that was provided to me. Issue was resolved by the following day.
Terrible service. Can we rate zero stars? TV goes out three times in the last week or so, cant get through to service...four times I have been timed out, just today I see they are starting a hang up and we will call you back item. Never heard that before. I tried it but somehow my phone didnt wring when they called back. I am now waiting in line again. It has been 1 hour and 15 minutes tonight, 30 minutes last night (and didnt get through). they sent out a representative less than a week ago to put in new equipment in our house. Didnt do any good. Same old problem that has shown its ugly head for over 5 years now. Not any good choices but this company is the worst I can imagine one could have to tolerate.Saturday they showed up. Nice guy. Left us a not all cable pairs coming toward the house test bad. Going to have our cable department come see what they can do to fix it.Tonight (Sunday evening), the TV is off again. Tried calling their technicians. Each time the same thing happened: All of our agents are busy helping other customers. Please stay on the line for the next available technician. They will get with you ASAP. Following that was about 1 minute of music followed by silence. Tried in four times just so I could time it.
Internet outages have been occurring too often, please fix that. Invest some of that money into better infrastructure. Sitting on hold with your tech support currently at 31 minutes, is that a way to create a good customer experience? Fix your problems please!
Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever had. Never been told to take time off work so I could get my cable fixed with in a week. Which is now not working again with in a week of repair. Would have given a 0 star rating but wouldnt post.
Horrible customer service!!! Our internet has been down for 5 days now. I was told service would be out 2 days ago between 10am-12pm. Wife took off work and nobody ever showed. Called customer service and they said they were delayed and would be out tomorrow afternoon. So the wife took another day off of work. Called customer service again at 2:30pm and they said a tech would still make it out to fix the internet. 5pm rolls around so i call customer service again and they tell me they wont be able to make it out and will be there tomorrow. So now my wife will have to take 3 days off of work because they cant get out and fix our dam internet. If i had another choice of provider i would switch in a heartbeat! If you have a choice STAY AWAY FROM CONSOLIDATED COMMUNICATIONS!!!!
CCI is absolute garbage. I feel bad for all of those people who helped make Hickorytech a fantastic telecom and service provider only to see their sweat and pride get sold out to AlltelConsolidatedHyperGlobalCompuMegaCorp where their brand has been crushed in the dust. Their tech is barely functional trash, their modems have panic attacks when more than two users are online at once, their streaming capabilities are more like dog-paddling, and if the tech support cant match your question with a pre-written FAQ responses they can share with you, then they have no idea what to do and will probably just ask you to unplug everything and plug it back in again. Possibly while sacrificing a chicken.THE ONLY reason I still remain a customer is so that I can retain the hickorytech email I have had for decades and is the address everyone in my life knows me to be at.

This company is absolutely horrible they are a disgrace to cable and internet providers and I would recommend not having internet or cable rather than having it through them.
Business services suck. If you wanna pay for things they dont verify with you, this is the place! Good luck getting a refund because when you tell them the switch they sell you has no land line to verify changes, they still think you can call out on that line and would have realized you are racking up long distance.
If we had another option. For a provider in our town it would not be consolidated! We pay for 20 Mbps and have constant slow speeds! Call no one can help you, send a tech out.. it works for a week or two and the slows down! It is a never ending cycle and cannot get help. I work from home and need my internet! Such a joke! Ive been with them for 8 years now (back when they were called Hickory Tech). My internet runs well and connects every time. Theyve treated me very well, one tech even gave me tips when it hiccups! When there is a glitch theyre helpful and quick to fix it. Ill stick with them!
Fairly happy with my internet! Cut the phone and cable to save some money and it wasnt worth keeping cable considering everything is online! Friendly, convenient, awesome support team. Had troubles at 4am and they helped me fix them! I recently was upgrading my internet. Had instant help with upgrading it! I recommend going straight to a Consolidated location, better that being on hold for ever. One thing Ive noticed since Consolidated took over is customer service! Anyone else notice how they stop replying to our issues on google? Go figure.
Our experience has been terrible but unfortunately CC is our only option where we live. The speed is never what it should be unless you reset the hardware several times a day, but even then it stinks. If you have a choice between CC and someone, GO WITH SOMEONE ELSE! Charter at my business in Mankato has been great.
I keep trying to convince my roommates to change internet providers and for some reason they dont understand what is so terrible about it. Says that that offer a certain speed and I get 5 times less than that. Not to mention the download speed is terrible and I have to sit so many hours for things to upload and download, I waste so much time.
Not pleased. I never signed a contract and yet they still charge me for the bill even though I ended service. Also internet never connected half the time.
Terrible service. Not only is the Internet terrible but the TV service is also terrible. Call into customer service and they say everything looks fine. No its your device you are using they said. My laptop is brand new and so is my phone so thats obviously not the problem. The TV freezes and is always glitchy and the Internet cant even stream a YouTube on a good day. Paying for the prime service you would think you would receive at least decent service but that is not the case. I have spent countless hours on the phone trying to tell them they need to fix the problem but a they never seem to do anything about it. Can you not see the problem when 53 customers have given you 1.5 stars? Please dont respond with we are sorry to hear about your problem please call us. Do something about everyones problem not just mine.
Honestly trashI called in earlier today because YouTube videos werent loading properly. The CSR had me run a speed test to check the connection speed. He then proceeds to tell me that the speeds Im getting are fast enough for YouTube videos.Not only did he not address my problem, he patronized me and made me feel stupid for even calling in. It is not good customer service to not listen to the customers concerns and brush them off. Regardless of my speed test results, if there is a peering issue with YouTube, that can cause connectivity problems that dont happen on other websites.Either way, I am dissatisfied dealing with customer service, and its disappointing 100Mbps connection will load YouTube videos in 144p.
If it was possible to give 0 stars, I would. For the steep price payed for their service, this company offers some of the worst connection possible. If you have other options, I would advise you to use them because these people sell literal garbage instead of connection

Had the Internet for a week and am already on to resetting the modem constantly like everyone else. Internet stopped working completely this last weekend and instead of looking into it the rep just said we can be there Monday to fix it. Technition couldnt fix it at our apartment and had to leave. Turns out someone unplugged something at there office and could have been fixed the day of. Instead we didnt have Internet or cable for 4 days and all had to make constant trips to and from the library between homework and eating.Cant wait to see the copy and pasted response below this everyone else is getting. Glad to see with the name change youre really crushing it.
If there was an option for zero stars, that’s what I would choose. First of all, the technician that came to my house was rude and stepped on my furniture with his shoes on. The service was HORRIBLE!!!! For the 1 month I used this company, I did not have cable or internet for 2 weeks and I am still getting bills 3 months after I cancelled the service. Customer service is completely incompetent and rude and hateful!!! I am on the verge of turning this company into the BBB. I switched to Xtream by Mediacom and I LOVE IT!!!!! DO NOT GET YOUR CABLE AND INTERNET SERVICE THROUGH CONSOLIDATED COMMUNICATION OR YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!
They have to be the worst communications company ever. I had ordered there TV and internet and the day before the installation they tried to call me to inform me that I cant get TV and now they canceled the install until another week. For being a communications company they stuck at communicating. It is also post poor that because i live in the country that I cant get TV.

Absoultley do not recommend, our internet randomly got shut off without warning even though our account was fully paid. I called to see what’s going on, and they said it would be 48 hours until we would have working internet. This is a garbage company.

Enraging that local number takes you to a central number and that there is no way for you to contact scheduled service technicians or get a time range for service. Worst internet company hands down. I am moving away from where I live when my lease is up just to never have consolidated again. Their internet is so slow that we cant run a playstation and have 1 phone connected to the internet. Then they will tell you that everyone they provide for never complains about the internet. Is that why you have 1.5 stars with 200 comments.

By far, without a close second, the worst company I have ever had to deal with!! I have had incredibly poor internet service for a long time and every time I call tech support I get the run around. Finally, today, I got a tech out to the house and he told me straight out that there is nothing he can do about it because the equipment is so old and out dated that it cannot deliver the bandwidth needed. Another words, its on their end and we pay for it. Done paying for something I cannot use. called LTD Broadband and set up install date to switch over. If you look around, THERE ARE OTHER OPTIONS. they might be a bit more expensive, but why waste money on something you cant use anyway. DONT DO IT!!!
Your company needs to invent a way to get constant internet. I wish i could leave a lower rating than 1 star my god its awful. Sometimes its the best connection in the world! At others I swear you are running your servers off of hamsters that have mental issues. If i could i would give 0 stars -.- Also dear god forbid if you want to access the internet from anywhere between 4 and 9 pm. Im fairly surprised I could even submit this review.
Ive called support several times, even though on a business line their is not better service. They say their speeds have overhead so paying for 9 Meg but only receiving 7.2 is a joke. I work for an ISP and if our company did that their would be a mass exodus to the competition. Unfortunately where Im at I have no other choice so Im stuck with this crappy company. If I had any other choice I would stay clear of this company. For those of you with choices, I would choose not to go with Consolidated Communications.
CCIs website is really slow and not user friendly at all. Youd think an internet company would have a top-of-the-line website, but CCI keeps freezing when I try to pay my bill online. But who knows what the problem is.... maybe its the crappy internet connection that I get through CCI thats making the page freeze from every device I try to pay my bill on.
Do the math people. I got a 30 minute video im trying to watch. Well I have been on it for 45 minutes and still 10 minutes left.
CCI is a joke of a company. How they are in business baffles me. Only reason Im using them is because my landlord requires it and wont allow charter on the property and some backdoor illegal stuff.
The customer service representatives are rude, i have internet off more often than it is on, and the company is unwilling to lift a finger to help. They make us wait long periods of time without internet, i am a college student and this makes my life a lot more difficult. Please do not use this company unless you have no other choice.
Worst Internet Service in Nicollet, MN. My Internet has been down for a week and they still cannot pinpoint the problem. Maybe their very old cables are the problem. Or, they all walked off the job?
Terrible service quality with frequent internet issues. Cable is limited and equipment is archaic. I use competing cable provider.
As an IT Systems Engineer with almost a decade in the Industry, I have seem numerous issues with my clients in relation to CCI. They constantly have downtime and issues with latency, consistency and communication. They say the will call you back but wont, which unfortunately is how most ISPs work. As I type this right now, production is down at 1 of my clients sties and they dont really seem to care. Id choose Charter if it was up to me, but unfortunately its not. Steer clear, unless you want consistent issues with your service.
I was supposed to have internet on sep 5. They called me 30 min before the last hour they were supposed to come to tell me there was a scheduling conflict. They couldn’t come until Friday. Now it’s the following Wednesday and I just spent twenty min on the phone with a tech because my internet went out and now a tech has to come out tomorrow between 12-5 to fix it. I already took last Wednesday off from work for no reason. Then had to take a half day Friday and now will miss tomorrow too. Hope I’m not getting charged for my internet service when it doesn’t work like it should !!!
They have some of the worst customer service I have ever seen. I have had one good experience otherwise the rest has been horrible. Their internet service is horrible, it is so bad it struggles to even load their own website. I upgraded my internet because they basic plan that was included with my rent was so incredibly slow, and was promised a date as to when we would experience the increased speeds, but it has been multiple days since the promised day, and I have run many speed tests and nothing has changed. I called them, and received no help on the matter. Such a bad company, I suggest staying away! I would not use their service but sadly it is the only thing we can get here right now.
If I could give them zero stars I would. No longer get that local support. Internet went out Sunday. After 35 minutes on hold I was told no one could come out until Thursday. I telecommute and teach online so the internet is mission critical. Was told if I had a business account Id have better priority. Tried to get a business account, was told it wouldnt matter, theyre short handed in the Mankato area, but they did manage to move my tech support call up to Wednesday morning. Called Wednesday morning to verify tech arrival and was told it would be about 11 AM By 1:15 PM called and they have no clue why no one has shown up yet and cant get through to their own dispatch. Service totally sucks. In todays world where the internet is critical to so many of lifes needs Consolidated is totally unable to provide even adequate service and are completely unable to meet the demand of its customers. Shame on You! Bad Form. Do NOT recommend using this company.
Horrible internet service! If I had any other options I would not be with them. Second time this month my internet has been out, first time it took them five days to get someone here only to find out it was an issue in their equipment off site, this time it’s area wide and they stated they have no idea how long it will be out. I’ve now incurred a ton of data overages on my phone in addition to the amount they overcharge me for bad service.
I’ve been a very long-term customer, I was not looking around. I called them up just to end the landline, and $500 a year savings.After the fact and their deception and games I would now only save $10 monthly or $120 not $500.So they lost me. If I could give -5 I would because they would have to improve 500% just to reach a zero rating.
Their support people are nice, but their internet speeds are nearly third-world for how much they charge. Theyre also very intolerant of people who want to JUST buy internet, and make it very hard to avoid bundling. Also, for no reason at all theyll sometimes throttle ~2MB/s speeds down to a max of around 750KB/s.The people I donate to African relief fund charities for have faster internet than I do.
Unreliable, and when it does work a potato would have higher speed. Thats even with the top package! Plus they screwed us by accepting our payments then telling us we didnt pay. RUN AWAY

My internet has gone down 6 times in the past 3 weeks. Each time we call tech support they remotely restart it, which does absolutely nothing. They schedule for a tech to come out the next day to look at it. Couple of hours later the internet starts up again so they cancel the tech. 48 hours later, the cycle repeats itself. There is no reason that our internet is going down this often and they are doing absolutely nothing to fix it. Very irritated with Consolidated!
Pay for 20 mbps, am lucky to get that speed once per month. Usually hovering around 2 mbps every day. Useless.
Wish i could rate negative. Bought the fastest internet available in the area and it is litterally worthless. Glasses to a blind guy have more worth then the internet these people provide. Its honestly ridiculous. And od course im stuck in a contract, thats how you get the great deal. I cant beileve how they can just rip people off like this and get away with it.
Sort of expensive for the internet service and phone on its own without the cable package, but Ive always had great experiences with them whenever I have had any problems. Their business service is great as well. Nice to have a local company like this to work with, they put Charter to shame in my opinion.--Update--Ever since they have changed to Consolidated their service is junk. I have both home & business services with them. Business is supposed to be the best speed they offey, yet it takes 2-3 minutes every morning to load ebay pages & drive spreadsheets with a direct connection. Whats worse is the $80 I pay for that inconvenience. Home router looses its signal 2 or 3 times a month, requiring you to have to turn it on and off to see if the service restores. If that doesnt work and it happens on a weekend, they tell you to wait until Monday. Fine, but would they ever offer you a discount for the service not used? No way. But theyre happy you send you pink slips in the mail and shut you down at the exact minute of the pay by day, then charge a $35 reconnect fee. Ive been a customer for over 5 years, and have been generally happy with their service. However, the past 6 months have been brutal. I think Ill have to give Charter another chance.
Enventis has great personal service from a local provider. They always answer my questions and solve any problems promptly.
We went to talk to them about upgrading our internet service and they were extremely rude towards us. Also their service is completely awful. Internet ping is bad and inconsistent, and the prices are outrageous. 50$ + 10$ of surprise fees per month gets you 20mps here were in Bemidji you can get 500mps of actually reliable internet for that same price! I dont know why this company has such a strong foot hold in Mankato.
