Got us in and out quickly! we were passing through and found out we had a flat tire. we started down the list of closest tire shops and everyone was booked all weekend, but since peerless doesnt take appointments, there were only a few cars ahead of us. only took about an hour, and compared to multiple days or 5+ hours it was perfect.

Came in today because tire had a slow leak. I was very impressed with how fast the employees were and customer service. I bought my tires earlier this year at the JC location and the manager asked to verify I did because he had a feeling I bought them there. Fixed my leak free of charge because they honored their warranty with no questions asked. I will be coming to this location from now on for my tires!! Excellent job, gentlemen. 🍻

These are good people, they have taken care of my wife & I for the last 3 years. Theyll give you an estimate & if not spot on, within $25 bucks of what they said. Never has a repair they signed their name to have failed. Totally Satisfied 😌

Personally I think being honest is most important in doing business, I have small TMPS problem. The battery is low and came on and off, but couldnt find which tire it is. Compare to the other B tire shop just charge money 💰🤣!! Or replace sensors randomly and told me it is good to go. Peerless people refuse to charge me money if they cant fix it, the right way. I Later came in again with parts. People are honest here.

We had a flat tire, covered by Warranty purchased, so the replacement will only be $50.00 . But a new tire would have been over over $200.00 ❣ They always give great Service 😀 I have been going there since about 1989 or so ❣😀

Less than a year ago I purchased four tires from them, recently I had a tire pressure warning, decided to take it into them and see what they could do. They ended up finding it a nail in the drivers front tire which they removed and patched. After filling up all the tires I noticed the warning come up again, Took it back in and then they looked at all the tires and found another nail and another tire. They patched that tire and then the warning went off. They did all the work for your charge and very quickly. Will definitely be coming back when I need to purchase new tires!

Our busy family has a lot of tires on the road, and Chad and his team at the Peerless Tire on 3rd Street have always worked hard to keep us going. Whether it be a flat tire (which we have a lot of living on a gravel road) or needing a whole new set, we can always depend on them to fit us in quickly. I dropped a car off this morning before 8, and they were already hard at it with a lot of vehicles stacked up, and they still had my new ones on by 10. They may not be as fancy as some other places, but their promptness and quality of work are second to none.

These gentlemen are so helpful and knowledgeable. I like the fact that they explained everything to me and showed me the price before they started on my car, so i knew before hand what they were doing . I keep coming back and they do good job every time. Thank peerless .

I have bought tires here for all of my vehicles for years and years. They offer fantastically fast and friendly service and will do anything to accommodate special requests. They also offer mechanic services alignments and oil changes.

Been here multiple times to get a tire replaced and they are always so speedy! They even repaired my tire for free when it got a nail in it. (because I had bought the tire from them awhile before that)

While visiting friends in Manhattan, my son noticed he had a low tire. He went in to Peerless on Sept 28th to have a leaking tire checked. Peerless rep insisted that he needed all 4 new tires. My son replaced all 4 and left the shop. He got on the road to home, Leavenworth, immediately after the tires were replaced. Three weekends later, last Saturday Oct 17th, my son was driving (correction, my son has informed me that he has put more miles on the tire than I thought) he rounded a corner on a country road, he felt a wobble, hit the breaks and the back left tire flew off the car. The car landed on the wheel hub and pulled his car into the oncoming lane. Luckily, there was no oncoming traffic and he was able to get the car to come to a stop without harm to himself or anyone else.After calling Peerless the following Monday morning, the gentleman that answered the phone stated that because he did not return for the re-torque, there was no responsibility on the part of Peerless. I stated that my 18 year old son had planned to have them re-torqued when he returned to Manhattan, but had not been back. The gentleman then said that he could have had it done anywhere. While most people may know that, my 18 year old did not. The gentleman then stated that he was sorry that happened, but Peerless bears no responsibility. He also stated that hes never heard of that happening, I can assure you, it did and he is lucky no one was injured. The other 3 tires had no issues, just this one. So clearly, something was mishandled, but because there was no re-torque, their hands are clean. NOT how I would run a business, but ok. Needless to say, we do NOT recommend them for tires.Update- Peerless has reached out to my son and offered to cover a portion of the repair. Thank you.

Initially, I experienced poor customer service from front-of-house staff after a couple attempts for service. Frustrated with the lack of courtesy and professionalism, I left a review here on Google sharing my experience.I was pleasantly surprised when I received a call from the regional manager a few hours later asking about my experience and if I was available to take my car to be serviced at a different Peerless location in town. The staff was professional and courteous(friendly, too!) even though they seemed busy (and throughout the payment process when the Internet was acting up). I was a very unsatisfied customer at 8am, and by 2pm Peerless Tire took the opportunity to keep a local customer and remedy the concern. Thank you!

I understand when some one does not come to work it puts pressure on every body else or the new guy is still in the learning stage. Chad on 3rd street shop is very good at his job. So If I have to wait a few minutes to see someone I do understand . Great job Chad,, You know I will be back.

If the Peerless Tire Store on the east side of Manhattan next to Dairy Queen was on the Indy 500 track Mario Andretti might have his tires changed there at their quality Pit Stop. Chad and his quality technicians have take excellent care of me at their 1001 North 3rd Street location for over 15 years. Thanks for always being kind gentlemen.

Chad and his crew are amazing. I had a tire blow out on a Saturday and even though they close at 3 on Saturday they got me in and put a new set of tires on my truck. I have used these guys for 20 years and never had bad service.

I recently purchased wheels and tires at this location and the service advisor was little or no help. He was short with any questions i had. Upon removal of the tires that were on the vehicle i was advised that 2 of them were practically new and I let them know i was aware of that, but was purchasing a larger size and all terrain for a reason. After the new tires had been installed I returned home and realized the 2 new tires they mentioned had not been placed in the back of my truck like I had wanted and never saw them again. So 1,367.00 later I was not satisfied and will never return to a peerless tire for any reason at all.

The best tire and brake place in Manhattan!

I had a long week at work and after running a few errands on a Friday, came out to find a very flat tire on my car. Frustrating to say the least. Called Triple A to come change my tire, after a long wait and man pulled up next to me and said I can change that for you and wouldn’t take no for an answer. He had a floor jack in his truck, changed my tire in about 3 minutes and advised me not to drive on the donut. I told him I do all my business at Peerless and turns out he was a retired manager from there! It was now 5:45 and Peerless closes at 6:00. I rushed over and found the crew getting ready to head out for the weekend. After telling them my problem, they dropped everything and I had a new set of tires in about 18 minutes! Paid a reasonable amount, crisis averted and not too late getting home. I went back to have the lug nuts tightened and took them all some ice cream treats! Thanks guys! Great service, great staff and quality tires!

Got a set of new tires for a good price

I’ve had services on my car multiple times at this location and every time they’ve turned a stressful situation into an easy one for me. As a female I often experience car shops trying to push other services and Chad is always straightforward with what I do and don’t need. The customer service is top notch and they always exceed my expectations.

This is my preferred tire shop in Manhattan. Excellent and fast service every time. It may look a little run down or old on the outside but they more than make up for it with service and prices. I have taken everything from lawn mower tires, small tractor tires, and the usual car/truck flats there and never been charged for a flat repair. This is the only tire shop in town that will do this. Plus their new tire prices are very competitive with the brand name shops across the road.

These guys are great. Recently took my truck in for a suspected alignment issue. After looking the vehicle over and checking the alignment they determined that the issue was actually related to a bad shock absorber. When I went to get the vehicle they informed me that there was no charge since the alignment was not the issue.

I have been going to Peerless for years, they are friendly and treat you right. It doesnt matter if I take my truck or one of my classics, the vehicles are treated with tlc. I trust this crew and that says a lot.

Im from Michigan. My daughter is going to college there and I called to get a price, and I already had sent her the parts needed. I was told they would not put on parts brought in by a consumer. Fast and friendly service. While on a cross-country road trip, I accidentally hit a boulder while visiting a colleague in a residential neighborhood. With dog and toddler in tow, I worried that id be delayed all day. These guys replaced the tire rim and put on a new paper in 15 minutes, after only about a 45 minute wait. Wonderful given that it was 100 plus out and more than that in the sun wouldve been tough on the dog. Dairy Queen just next store for easy waiting. They gave us lots of water for the pup. The price for the repair and quick service was far cheaper than I have paid elsewhere. Highly recommend these folks-- they truly are peerless!
