Fantastic hotel and a very enjoyable stay.Rooms were very clean, classy and comfortable. AC worked great and the beds/mattresses were comfy with no dips as experienced in other hotels. As a quick side note, the shampoo/body wash line was one of my favourites from all other hotel brands I’ve stayed. The upper patio and ground level patio looking on to the golf course are great areas to relax. The pool has lots of lounge seating and was clean and well taken care of.If you’re into golf, the hotel deal for a round (9-holes) and club rental was great. Course was in great shape and the staff was very friendly. The neighbourhood around the hotel seemed to close early on the weekdays, however, there were lots of restaurants and grocery stores nearby to get what was needed for your stay.I didn’t have a chance to try the food from the restaurant, however, the drinks were reasonably priced from the hotel lobby. The one negative aspect were the bike “rentals”. Complimentary bikes are available to guests, however, none were available for our stay even though 5-6 bikes sat out front of the hotel throughout the duration of our stay. A better system to control use of the bikes would be recommended.
I reserved a room for 2 nights on a fifth-floor or above with a golf course view for my family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids). Upon check-in, we were given a room on the 3rd floor without any explanation or even acknowledgment that our reservation was changed. A person at a front desk just handed us keys to the room with a casual here you go... When I confronted him about the discrepancy between what we got and what was reserved, he abruptly responded this is all we have left...When we got into our room we discovered that there is no hot water. After contacting the front desk, I was told to wait until they get in touch with an engineer who can investigate this issue further. A few minutes later I received a call back from the front desk stating that there is no one on staff at this moment who can fix it and we have to wait until the morning. OR we can be moved to another room after 12pm the next day when the room that can accommodate 4 people will become available. So basically there is no room in the entire hotel that can accommodate 4 people ... very hard to believe...Although, I was given an option to go to the nearby empty room to take a shower there.I am so sorry but this is not the experience I was expecting from a 4-star hotel. We stayed at this hotel several times in the past but this is the first time weve been treated with such contempt.I was expecting at least to get an offer to upgrade to a suite at some discounted price. Or some other option to sweeten the deal, but instead there was zero empathy from a customer service team or even desire to resolve this issue.
Staff was great at the front desk, the bar and the restaurant. Richard at the bar deserves mention; my two colleagues were at the bar having vodka martinis when we asked for blue cheese stuffed olives, they didn’t have any, Richard disappeared and came back with blue cheese stuffed olives he had made in the kitchen! What a pleasant surprise! What great service! The rest of the bar staff was just as great. Thank you!
My toilet didnt flush. The lamp next to the tv didnt work. There was water (or something) coming up from beneath the carpet and hardwood. The water bottle in my room was full but with a broken seal, so obviously a previous occupant and used and then refilled and put back, but room service never caught it. Golf Course view is awful. No fitted sheet and instead covered by top sheet. Had to continuously pay for parking as my room key would not open the parking ramp gate even though I was paying for parking. Gym is open weird hours, and why isnt the gym 24 hours? ...and finally pool is not open very long as well. This is by far the worst business stay Ive ever had, and i will definitely make sure our team stays elsewhere in the future as they all had similar issues and experience.
A superior hotel! This was the first time I stayed here, and I am very happy with my decisions. I am deeply impressed by how they handled their many customers politely with no hassles at all. A clean and neat place liked this was deeply admirable. The quality of service they provided was amazing! I couldnt ask for more!
Love this place! Totally renovated: Very neat and clean quiet rooms. Great food with superb service! Very nice views of the golf course from the restaurant. Friendly staff all around! The staff is outstanding. The rooms are clean and spacious. They have extremely comfortable beds and pillows. Thank you! Will stay again! I highly recommend this location!
Positive: The staff was nice and the room was beautiful!!!! It had an awesome balcony off the golf course. Very peaceful. And, had room service and was good food...lol Negative: Everything was nice. But could see on top off roof and unfortunately people through clothes onto roof and do there were some socks and other clothing on roof. But, the view of water and golf course was my MAIN focus
It’s a pricey hotel. We paid extra for a nicer room. However, the room is not nice. It’s also not clean. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. We are currently staying here for five nights. We’ve been here two nights already. The bathroom was not clean when we arrived. We did contact them because we didn’t feel like we got what we were paying for. They said it would be $50 more per night to change rooms. We travel a lot. We have stayed at much nicer hotels that are cheaper than this one.
Location is awesome. Very friendly staff. Reason for taking out a star is for bad breakfast options. We had breakfast here. Everything is super expensive and the quantity they gave us laughable. They gave 1 piece of toast which was super thin with an omelet for which they charged 20$ .Felt it was ridiculous. When hotels are providing free breakfast, this experience was horrendous
The hotel itself is really nice but the service has been really bad.1) We ordered room service for breakfast, after a 90 minute wait we decided to call and check on the order and found out they never put the order in…at this point the breakfast kitchen was closed so we were out of luck. Things like this happen so it’s not the end of the world.2) But then it happened again! Later that afternoon we ordered coffee to be sent up to the room. We were told it would be sent up within 20 minutes. After 60 minutes we, again, called to check on the status of the order at which point we were told “we never have coffee at this time so we can’t send anything up to your room.”3) No daily cleaning of the room. We came back after being out all day to see our room was untouched. Not even new water bottles or cups.Again, the building and rooms are nice and staff seem friendly enough…but the service has been laughably bad so far, especially for a 4 star hotel.
I love the work the hotel has done to remodel the property. The rooms are very clean. The main lobby is big and well designed. I’d recommend this hotel for people who are coming to town for business. Easy to find. Location is great. Proximity to the airport, the beach, top rate supermarkets, good restaurants, and Equinox gym for those who are members.
Positive: I liked the back outdoor hang area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Negative: Even though I paid upfront when I booked, I had to pay an additional deposit, which is fine, just wish that was made clear at booking. Another hotel I stayed at the day before that I paid upfront for, didn¿t require the deposit. Also, not close to be
Water in room was 5$! No free water. In all of my travels, from 4$ rooms in under developed countries, to 5 star resorts, Ive never not seen complimentary bottled water. I didnt know this before waking up in the morning at 3am for work meetings and subsequently had to drink cola that I had from my grocery store dinner. No tea or creamer in the room. Coffee maker in room only takes pods, you cant just heat up water, so I couldnt cook the instant oatmeal I had brought with me either. Very limited supplies in room, you have to ask for everything. No cutlery or cups in room. No access anywhere in the hotel for microwave (actually I just saw one in the hallway outside of a room, so, I guess its available for some people, we were told it was a liability issue, not even available at the bar, we asked if staff could heat something because I cannot eat any of their food, they said no). Nothing on the menu was gluten free, as a celiac, after a long flight I had to hit up the very close grocery nearby to find some random food that didnt need to be heated (menu is also extremely limited). Toilet paper in room was very low quality, like a public bathroom. Shower had soap scum to along the bottom to about 6 inches up.Wifi is stable for video conference but not great for downloading video. Decor of entire hotel is breezy, lovely, and beachy. Bed, blankets, and pillows good. Location next to grocery and some restaurants is good.If I knew all of this, I would not have stayed. Canceling 3rd night, would have canceled second but had very busy day, didnt have time to book something else. Booking a different hotel right now.
Nice location, nice public areas, and friendly staff. Free bikes for rent was a great deal. We were disappointed in the room quality, but we didnt ask for remediation so thats on us.
The Westdrift is an incredible hotel! It is exceedingly clean and the staff was very helpful. Short drive to the airport and to the beach. I very much look forward to staying at The Westdrift Manhattan Beach again hopefully sooner than later!! I definitely recommend it to any traveler coming to the area.
Wonderful! Relaxing! Peaceful! My husband and I were their for three days celebrating our birthdays. Staff was very nice! No microwave to heat food up😞
We didn’t get the room we booked, they put us in a handicap room next to the elevator and said this was all that was available when we checked in. It is miserably loud all day and all night being this close to the elevators. The room itself feels dirty. There is a brown mystery stain on the comforter, the body wash was empty, and the remote only works sometimes. A random employee let themselves in our room without knocking this morning and turned around and walked out without even apologizing. We won’t stay here again. Completely unacceptable.
Views and service is over the roof! A place to visit again no doubt
There was a Street food cinema showing of the Lion King movie. Lots of fun!
Positive: The hotel is beautiful and clean. I love the location and our room had a nice view of the golf course. Negative: No complaints. Everything was excellent
Positive: nothing I really liked golf course a joke 9 hole finish in 2 hrs...putt putt. Negative: there was no microwave or any access. not convenient for customers . parking charges extremely price 40. a day
Positive: Great location, easy access, quiet room Negative: The manager of the restaurant in the evening was beyond rude, unkind. Most disappointing part of my trip.
Overall a good clean hotel.. rooms are a tad bit too simple for price!!.. golf course is awesome
A nice surpruse. Staff was fantastic!
Positive: Amenities were great Negative: That I only spend my last night, great hotel
Nice hotel. Cool atmosphere.
Horribly managed, poor physical plant (mold in shower, mold on sink lip, refrigerator barely worked), electric car charger not on app or monitored, so squatters reigned, no bell person and no management on carts, have to search hotel to find them, no housekeeping unless you call 24 hours before and best not ask for housekeeping if you didnt! I could continue but the ineptitude prevails. Marriott should be ashamed to have this hotel in their family.
Stayed there for 4 days, beautiful location and area in general, everyone was so nice and will be coming back. They let us check in early, let us leave our bags with them and gave us a pool card while we waited for our flight, over all 10/10 would recommend.
Overall, my experience at the Westdrift Hotel was merely okay at best however, truly not what you’d expect from a Marriott affiliated / 4-star hotel. Below, I’ve provided a pros and cons list.Pros:- Allowed early check-in.- Little sofa area in the room was quite useful.- Relatively comfy bed.- Empty mini-fridge for storing drinks and snacks was very convenient.- General aesthetics were quite appealing in the room and around the hotel.- Balcony (not sure if all rooms have this) had a lovely view of the golf course.- Nice pool area with readily available towels.- Very charming and useful fire pits for evenings outdoors.- Free complementary water (has to be requested in the lobby) as well as water dispensing machine (found in the pool area – the other machine was not functioning).Cons:- Housekeeping was quite terrible unfortunately. I think this was perhaps the worst part of my experience. I had an issue with my initial room as well as follow-up room as there was hair all over the bathroom floor. I will say that this issue was addressed and resolved almost immediately. However, there was trash on the floor outside of my room (see associated photo).- Housekeeping only visited every other day which I feel is ridiculous considering COVID-19 as it relates to cleanliness standards. Additionally, housekeeping had to be requested as opposed to a simple doorknob indicator.- Lighting in the room was very odd. There weren’t any main ceiling fixtures and you need to utilize the surrounding lamps. There was also no lighting on the balcony as well so it’s not very usable in the evening.- Despite complementary water provided in the lobby as well as reasonably priced vending machines available, the rooms still had a $5.00 Voss Water which is comical.- Aside from the pool, there were not many amenities across the hotel. Would have been nice to see a pool table, ping pong table, etc.- TV quality was pretty bad and the TV remote was a bit unresponsive.- Very bad Wi-Fi – upgraded Wi-Fi is charged at a premium which is a rip-off in my opinion.
Very nice hotel and people at the front desk were extremely nice, but the remote/tv in the room didn’t work and there were no cups or glasses in the room. Being there was a coffee maker and a fridge in the room this seemed pretty strange to not have any drinking vessels. Also the pillows are awful.
Nice hotel with a great pandemic price right now. Be aware that not all of the services here are open...hence the great price. So you get what you pay for.
Beautiful, wide open space, perfect for a business meeting and a nice relaxing day by the pool.
With so much to see and do around Hawthorne, time is often in limited supply for travelers intent on making the most of their vacations.Though golf is one of Southern California’s biggest draws, even many diehard fanatics would rather not spend four or five hours on a course away from their friends and families.Located on Parkview Avenue in Manhattan Beach, just ten minutes west of Hawthorne, Westdrift Manhattan Beach Golf is the perfect alternative to full-length 18-hole courses. The 9-hole course rarely takes longer than 90 minutes to play, but it features manicured greens and fairways like those usually found on bigger, more exclusive courses.
Positive: Location Negative: The very hard, uncomfortable bed, average 3 star hotel quality bath towels, paper cups, insufficient body wash (ran out in the middle of my shower on last day).
Fabulous 5 star hotel. Wonderful place.
Peaceful, relaxing, close to beach and airport.
Very friendly staff and the beds are really comfy.
Great hotel... Clean rooms and excellent service. The only down side is parking is $39 a day!!!
Although the front desk staff were very friendly... it was very disappointing to pay full price for half price accommodation and service...1. room service meals only ...and only at 2 hour periods e.g breakfast 8-10...2. guests needed to go out or have food delivered yet the hotel did not provide microwave or a refrigerator 3. the room had a coffee pot, but no coffee or tea...4. the hotel made a big deal about their cleaning and sanitizing, however there was hair on the shower wall and a face mask, from a prior guest under the table... in addition, the tv remote was not in plastic... nor were there drinking glasses, shower caps, paper, pen or the like. there was a bottle of water with a 5 dollars price tag... an airbnb would have been a much better choice.if you are thinking of booking... don’t!
Positive: The bathroom flooded and ruined my 4K esp guitar. When I asked the manager for helll, she was less than useless. I have been touring the country for 15 years. Ive never left a bad complaint ever. I wont be booking hotels anytime soon. Negative: The balcony was surrounded by local drunks throwing empty cans and cussing all night. Worst hotel stay of my life. Got 0 sleep.
Old rooms but the lobby was amazing. Prices were fantastic.
They charge the “colored tax” here. Make sure you do a video walk through on your phone before you check out. This hotel charged me 500 smoking fee even though we didn’t smoke in the room. There was a cigar wrapper in the trash and they stated it was considered “evidence!” We were refunded by the hotel for the fee and my bank refunded the entire stay. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone. When I called, the front desk lady even impersonated the hotel manager. Come to find out, manager is a male. I was completely disgusted about a stay that I was initially excited about. Do not stay here. I literally cried for days behind the amount of money they charged my card initially 1700 I’m charges and fees for a 2 day stay. Just glad I was able to get the problem situated but I WILL NEVERRRRR STAY HERE AGAIN!!
THIS IS A GREAT, LOCAL, HIDDEN GEM! Ive been staying at the westdrift MB Hotel this summer to beat the heat while working remotely. From the Front Desk Managers Amos and Mark to the staff Jeannie, Taylor, and housekeeping -- EXCELLENT SERVICE!!The staff is genuinely friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The hotel itself is nicely renovated - the backside balcony rooms has BEAUTIFUL VIEWS of the pool area, golf course, lake and more. As a guest, youll feel like youve left the city and on a destination vacation. Lots of shopping stores, restaurants, and a mall nearby, even within walking distance.MANY THANKS to the hotel staff for their excellency and patience, especially during these challenging COVID-19 times! This hotel is a home away from home - JUST BETTER!! 😊
Great service. Great Hotel! We had a great experience!
Positive: Pet friendly, clean, super convenient great pool and golf course! Negative: No
While it looks very nice and the rooms are comfortable, the shower was very poorly designed, with the door fully closed the water leaked out and flooded the bathroom floor each time. Also, there are only 3 elevators and with COVID restrictions only 4 people can go in an elevator, so getting up and down the elevator takes a very long time. Also, the person who i spoke to on the phone to make my reservation said that for our wedding night they would add some special touches to the room, however they did not. All these things notwithstanding, it was a nice stay in a comfortable, well decorated room.
I really like this hotel. It seems as if you are somewhere else in the world. The lobby and common areas are very welcoming and the view of the par 3 golf course that is attached to the hotel is just beautiful! The rooms are average for a property like this.
The room is okay. Shower door was constantly leaking. The parking prices were ridiculous at $39 a night. The location was okay. I would not stay again here though.
Beautiful...love this hotel
Lovely hotel, but they don’t have the bar or fitness center open now due to coronavirus social distancing precautions. The golf course and pool are open though. Clean, modern decor, super comfortable beds, and fabulous toiletries made for an extremely pleasant stay.Be aware that they charge $20 per night for parking. But there are free Tesla charging stations in the parking garage, so that was cool.
Stayed here before flying out of LAX on my honeymoon. The suite was incredible, with nice views of the golf course, and comfortable relaxing areas. We wish we could have stayed longer, but it was a highlight of our trip. We thought we had paid for breakfast, but there seemed to be some type of miscommunication with our purchase. We didnt want to pay out of pocket due to costs. Other than that mix up it was great.
Probably be higher if not for Covid-19
Love the hotel and the golf course!:)
Had an amazing overnight stay. The hotel is modern, spacious, and clean. My room overlooks the golf course. The pool is picture perfect. Lobby is large and have good food options. Convenient location and close to LAX. It’s the TOP hotel I’ve stayed in the are of Manhattan Beach and will definitely return.
** I asked about parking during check in. they _conveniently_ neglected to tell me that they were charging me 40 per night to park outside in an uncovered /unwatched lot.that was a great surprise at checkout.you can rent a parking spot nearby for under 15 per night.
Nice hotel best as I can see. Me employer had a meeting at the hotel. Didnt see much other than lobby and conference room, and they were nice.
Positive: Tough to complain its South Central LA. Negative: Need to be remind customers that room key is needed to exit parking, theres no one attending gates.
This location is beautiful. 7 min from the beach. The guest service was amazing. I will definitely come back again.
Great location, big plusses for golfers as there is a golf course thats a part of the hotel. The design and architecture of the lobby as a mix of industrial and modern leading to a very thrifty aesthetic
Enjoy a superb location for golf, shopping, sightseeing and dining. westdrift has a coast California vibe youll experience as soon as you enter the hotel. Staff is generally very personable and helpful particularly the dining staff. Dining a bit pricey for the offerings.Rooms spacious and comfortable beds.
Did not service room, also no upgrades available ☹️
Really great hotel. Clean & modern enough. I still think about the bed (it was so comfy). It is walking distance to a few shopping areas which was great for me (non driver/new yorker). Everyone was nice and helpful. Perfect for a quick vacation.
Great set-back from the road. This hotel is near everything, including the airport, but theres no traffic or airline noise. Rooms are standard but clean and well maintained. Pool is small and the dining location awkwardly placed, sort of as an after thought in a large, open lobby. However the food is fine. Really close by good restaurants and an excellent supermarket as well. Staff is solid. Staff is great, but management should allow for some basic service prior to arrival- particularly providing at least one bottled water free of charge in the room, as is pretty customary at other hotels. You can ask for a bottle and they will provide a small one in the lobby, however.
Great, convenient location, overlooked a nice. little par 3 golf course, nothing open in lobby (no bar, no restaurant) due to overly strict CA Covid rules. All and all, a very nice, clean hotel!
Beautiful hotel. I spend a lot of weekends in LA with both of my kids in college in the LA area and like to experiment with different hotels. I gave the Westdrift a chance. I have to say the pictures on Expedia do not do it justice. The hotel is beautiful. Great, spacious lobby, wonderfully decorated. Rooms are wonderful and the pool area is relaxing and well designed. The work out gym is top notch and lots of fun things around the hotel to play (i.e. ping pong, shuffleboard).
Positive: Wow Negative: Everything was perfect
Elevator was confusing you leave one then enter another to parking garage got lost trying to find the car.
This hotel used to be a regular Marriott. Recognized the location as soon as we drove in. It was nice then and a very convenient location, but I really like the new renovation making it one of Marriotts Autograph Collection hotels. We are Titanium Level Marriott members and we used points to stay here. This hotel is very open and bright, a mid-century beach decor. Very pleasing and the rooms were clean, comfortable and nicely decorated in keeping with the lobby theme. Ample onsite parking available. Approximately 10 minutes to LAX airport and 10 minutes to Redondo Beach. Superb local. The restaurant is unique in that it is spread out across the back of the hotel, providing nice light and views of the pool and grounds, not your typical layout with all the tables crowded together in one space. We only had breakfast there as we had other plans throughout the day, but the buffet was great. A variety of choices, all fresh and well presented. Wait staff was friendly, nice vibe everywhere. Will definitely stay here again!
This hotel is modern, full of great amenities, and the staff members we interacted with were friendly and kind. It’s location is great and easy to find, and the property itself is gorgeous. The rooms are spacious and impeccably clean. Although it is a little pricey, it’s well worth every penny and I highly recommend it.
The food offerings need to expand. Especially at breakfast. But also, the menu for room service needs to expand. If customers are going to pay for food delivery that comes from outside sources, why not just give that money to the hotel. People come to hotels like your because they want to relax. It is difficult to always have to figure out where to go. For relaxing purposes having variety and good food right from the hotel would just so help with ones ability to relax. I do have to say that before the hotel was remodeled, the breakfast offered from the lower level restaurant was excellent. We would tell everybody about how good the breakfasts were at this hotel. Now - not so much!
My girls and I had a very enjoyable stay at westdrift Manhattan Beach. Beautiful facilities, excellent staff, attentive customer service. Absolutely wonderful stay! From the valet staff to the front desk associates to the restaurant servers, everyone was courteous, hospitable, accommodating, pleasantly friendly, and professional. The facilities were extremely CLEAN and the decor was modern, refreshing, and so perfectly suited to the general theme and name of the hotel. Breakfast was delicious and fresh. Parking was easy and convenient. We wish we could have used the beautiful pool, but the weather during our stay was too cold and rainy ... hopefully, next time. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
I just started playing golf. This was my first course to play at. Now I come down from Calabasas twice a week to play. I met scott the first day and he is super cool. This is an amazing course yo kick the training wheels off and get into golf!
Great hotel in a nice and convenient location. Staff was friendly, hotel well kept, with a beautiful lobby. The beds were very comfortable, however the walls between rooms seem to lack any kind of insulation/sound proofing. I could hear full conversations in the room next door and a dog yapping from the room on the other side of me. I was coming from the east coast and trying to go to bed early- but unfortunately did not end up with much rest. If you stay here- it would be worth your while to request a room away from others if at all possible.
This hotel has a very open environment with warm creative decor. From the moment you enter, you realize it is no typical hotel. The staff at check in, the housekeeping team in the hallways and the restaurant staff all made my stay a pleasure. The team really understands and lives customer service. Smiles great you around every corner. Everyone is ready to respond to your inquiries. The views are exceptional.A GREAT 4 days away from home on business!
Our stay was very nice & very clean.
Fabulous stay! We always have a wonderful time at L.A. The service is excellent, and the staff most welcoming. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. We stay here regularly and always have a fabulous experience.
Very pleased with my stay here. Easy drive from LAX. Modern lobby and rooms. Beds were super comfy. Room featured balcony with view of the Golf course. Friendly staff & great breakfast buffet. There was a mall within walking distance + just a short drive to downtown Manhattan Beach.
Super friendly staff in a great location. All the hotel amenities are modern and clean and the restaurant serves high quality food. It is one of my favorite hotels to stay whilst traveling for business and I travel a lot.
Nice hotel, great bar in lobby. Outdoors views with lake. Only downfall is the small pool
Simple well appointed rooms. The backside faces a golf course with expansive views.Very comfortable check in area with some games in the middle of the lounge. Healthy contemporary menu in the restaurant with indoor and outdoor sitting.Small outdoor pool facing the golf course. Valet parking available. Nearby shopping areas with local restaurants.
As the name of the hotel implies, each piece of furniture in my room was wooden and stylishly placed. I forgot to bring a robe, but no worries, a robe was in the closet when I looked. I loved the shower...I did not have to worry about my hair getting wet after my fabulous hairstyle I had just gotten before I arrived. Towels were nice and plush, and my bed was comfortable. It was a nice getaway from home by myself. I totally enjoyed pampering myself that weekend, although I was there for a conference.Lois in Augusta
The renovation was a success. The old Marriott is beautiful inside and out. The staff is friendly. The view of the golf course is serene. The rooms are nice, but still very small.
Was surprised this old Marriott property is a newly-renovated WestDrift Autograph Collection hotel. The facilities and rooms are modern, fresh, pleasant, upscale, and clean -- really like this hotel over the previous Marriott property, which was getting a little run-down. The employees/staff are super friendly and pleasant -- really makes you feel good staying at the hotel! Rooms are very quiet -- didnt hear any noise coming from outside the room. The bathrooms are ultra-modern with upscale Malin bath products, rain shower head, glass shower with a hand-held water sprayer, and a very clean/sleek-looking vanity and flooring. Appeared exceptionally clean bathroom! While bed/mattress was extremely comfortable, the pillows were not -- the pillows lacked stuffing and really offered no support...like sleeping on nothing.
Westsrift was an amazing hotel from its design to cleanliness, service and food. The shower was amazing and not your typical hotel shower head!! We had a King room, and it was beautiful and clean. The breakfast was “FANTASTIC”.... The view, well lets just say I didnt want to leave after we were done eating! Longest breakfast weve ever had!! Design was amazing and loved the Christmas tree in the lobby. Starbucks was a nice fit too! Thank You for an amazing experience at Westdrift Manhattan Beach Hotel!!
We visited many hotels along the coast from Malibu to South Redondo Beach and chose the Westdrift!Hotel lobby is modern and very spacious. Rooms are modern and spacious. The hotel staff is very friendly and professional. Pricing is excellent for this location and this level of hotel. Highly recommend it: this is my number one choice in the south bay and beyond...much better value than hotels in Marina del Rey, Santa Monica,...!!
Positive: The pool area was great! Negative: There were long black hairs in the shower when we arrived.
This is an amazing hotel in a great location. A little gem tucked away in the business of LA. We felt very comfortable in our stylish room, the view was beautiful. The room service food was delicious and set up very nice. We can’t wait till we can return for a longer stay.
We loved this property and cannot wait to return! It was exactly the space we needed to unwind after several months of busy work life and travel. The moment we stepped into the airy, light filled, modern beachy lobby we felt our stress begin to melt away. Hotel staff were warm, friendly, and helpful. Our room was clean, comfortable, and modern - the balcony overlooking the golf course provided great views and let in the ocean breezes, the bed was comfy, and the shower was awesome! We picked this property because of the proximity to the beach and because it had a pool - and the pool did not disappoint. The space was the perfect place to unwind and the hotel staff provided great poolside service (thanks Lori!!). Looking forward to coming back!
Excellent property with friendly and helpful staff. Very close to the beach. Recently renovated. I recommend this property. Close to LAX. Surrounding neighborhood is very good. A great choice if you are in Manhattan Beach
The balcony from our room(6th floor) was very scenic (golf course view) and very private. Perfect place to have breakfast from(The room service menu had a lot of light choices so that I didnt feel guilty eating from their menu). The bed was very comfy and it was soo quiet(no noise from the walls or ceiling)Considering there was a big convention there.. I almost made me feel like I was the only guest there!!I also used the Gym downstairs and it is very well equipped when compared to other chain hotels.
You can’t beat the location. There’s a Bristol Farm’s grocery store next door, as well as CVS, Houston’s (make reservations at least a day in advance), a great Mexican restaurant, seafood, burgers and other casual dining, PF Chang’s, shopping mall and Trader Joe’s a short walk away. The hotel lobby is open, airy, with a unique modern decor. The rooms are updated. In the lobby is a filtered water dispenser for refilling your water bottles. Nice touch! Ask for a golf course view room. The other side of the hotel is fine though and not noisy. The breakfast buffet is just OK. I miss the free breakfast in the concierge lounge when it was a regular Marriott property. Taking away the lounge was a downgrade.
Wonderful food, bright and energetic style. All perfect for a family stay or in my case business meeting. Will 100% be back. Everyone loved it!
