This was the first time we boarded one of our dogs there. Everything was very smooth during the checking in process during the phone when making the reservation. Because of Covid, we couldnt go inside the facility, so we just handed over our dog and his belongings to an employee and off we went. When we went to pick him up, he seemed happy (but not the OMG thank God youre back, get me out of here happy), smelling good after a bath with a cute bandana and tired. We opted for him having daily playtime with other dogs, and he must have loved that. We will return, thanks!

They were so amazing! The rescue group was wonderful to work with, very knowledgeable. The area the cats were in was so clean and didnt smell. They clearly take top notch care of their rescue animals. I will be changing my Amazon Smile donations over to them I was so impressed.

Used them recently, still Covid protocols, so the personal experience is seriously limited compared to what is normal. Meet in the lot, give a person the dog and his/her stuff, and leave. Its weird, but Im sure this is just how it is at all kennels right now. Dog came home healthy, happy, and smelling great. Will use them again.

Leaving your little furbabies for any time can be ruff for us humans. But I never worry about boarding my furbaby at Country Acres! The staff is friendly and helpful. And my dog came back very happy.

I am very pleased with my visit with Country Acres. I have visited them one time before and I had some concerns but I talked with the staff and addressed what happened. I am very pleased with the improvements and how much they cared for my requests. I have a little pet ferret who can be a little crazy sometimes and messy but once I got the cage back it was clean and I was very impressed. I will be returning and I will recommend Country Acres to any pet especially exotics!

Love them so much extremely nice and have so much respect for the customers and the dogs!!! I know its annoying but I call everyday just to check up on my doggos and they have so nice and never have been rude or judgmental.

The place is nice and well kept. At this time, they are extremely short staffed. So expect longer wait times. Just a note, when you get there look at the sign. At the bottom there is a number that is NOT the number for the resort. Use that number to let the people know you are there. The wait was a bit annoying, and the people were sharp when responding. That cost them a star.

We adopted Ren (formerly Ruby) from Country Acres Pet Resort back in October 2018. She’s fun, goofy, very playful and protective of her home and family. She’s the light of our lives! The experience working with the employees of Country Acres was beyond 5 stars. They made our first puppy adoption easy and stress free. They provided us with all of the resources needed to care for her long term. She’s a great pup and I would recommend adopting from Country Acres 100x over! Thank you for our baby!!!

Brianna did an awesome job on my pups. She took the time to consult with us beforehand and proactively communicated anticipated pick up times. Their team helped load them in my car. We will defintely be back. Just look at these cuties.

We have used Country Acres for over twelve years for our pets when traveling and highly recommend them! They are caring, reliable, and accommodate all of our needs. Our dogs love going and look forward to their “vacation” resort, too.

I have been boarding my dogs with Country Acres for ten years. Two years ago, I checked out their adoptable furbabies, and came home with Turner, a Pit Bull mix. If anyone loves this dog more than me, its the staff at Country Acres! He now goes back to them for boarding as necessary, and I have no worries that he (and my cattle dog) are in good hands.I have since gotten involved in occasionally transporting cats and dogs from shelters or private individuals to CAR for rescue. I know that they will be well taken care of and advertised to the proper potential adopters, and eventually placed in loving homes.The staff goes above and beyond in dispensing love to their kids. They DO NOT discriminate against any breed, and many of their clients and adoptables are Pit Bull mixes.I rest easy when boarding Turner and Sheila. My biggest fear is that I will have to unspoil them when they return home.I recommend CAR to anyone looking for a boarding facility, or looking to adopt a quality, well adjusted pet. CAR goes above and beyond when one of their kids goes missing, pulling together community resources and social media to get those kids back home.❤️❤️❤️

I have always had a great experience here but the last time I boarded I arrived at 1:00 to go on a small cabin trip with my two kids and they were closed from 1-2:00 and it was not mentioned to me. Anyone with small kids can understand how an unexpected hour sitting in the car goes. Also, they told me one thing and then charged me another, so I called. The manager wouldnt let me talk and only tried to make me feel bad because of the pandemic, she needed to pay her staff. I was just laid off so I completely understand the affects of the pandemic, I was only trying to figure out why I was told one thing and then charged another. Customer service was not great.

We take our dog Archie there for play. He just loves it. He is able to run outside all day long except during nap time. He is also able to work on his socialization skills.

Country Acres is a gem! They take really good care of our dog. We use them for boarding and a weekly play care visit. He loves it! What I love most is that they have abundant outside space for the dogs. Thats hard to find in a suburb!

The people who work here, are very caring! They love animals and save as many as possible! Our dog, Turner was a rescue from Country Acres and what that has done for him and us is incredible. If youre in need of a kennel while youre out of town. This is the best! They get all our business.

I absolutely love my experience with country acres. From the moment I walk into the receiving office my dogs are greeted by name before I even check in. They take such great care of all the animals in their care and couldn’t imagine bringing my dogs anywhere else. The facility is clean and has such a homie feeling I feel so at ease leaving them. The property alone is impressive and seeing all the space my dogs have to run is so relieving. The staff is caring and always has a smile on their face. When I pick my dogs up they are always so happy which makes me happy. I will never leave my dogs anywhere else.

Most amazing rescue I have ever had the pleasure of working with! So considerate and professional. When we adopted our dog Marla she was heart worm positive and had spent her entire life in a shelter. Country acres made sure she received the heart worm treatment she needed before she came to her new home. They were very patient over the months of treatment and had no problem with my husband and I stopping by whenever just to say hello and spend sometime with Marla. I love this rescue and would absolutely use them again! Thank you guys so much!!!

We love this kennel! A few years ago we were looking for a new rescue puppy and found the perfect match at Country Acres. Ever since then, we bring her back here for boarding, grooming and play days. The staff is very courteous and helpful. We always have a good experience at Country Acres.

They were great. The staff answered all questions and provided details on things we didnt think to ask. The facility is setup nicely and the dogs were taken care of well. You could see the bonds formed between staff and rescues. Highly recommend.

Absolutely wonderful. They have a doggy play care that is always loved by the pets. There is a small pool at the daycare center and they are put into apropriate groups so the animals get other animals that they can share an energy level with instead of everyone being thrown into a room and some grass

This is where we board the pups four times. The dogs seem happy to see the staff and they seem well taken care of when picked up.You can also get your dogs groomed while they are boarded. The old dog got a day of doggie bath and cut and the groomer did a great job. Clancy is a Schnauzer and some places do not get the cut right. Some have trimmed off the entire muzzle and chin area which leaves him looking so bizarre you can only laugh.

I love taking my dog here when we go on vacation. I can call and check in on her anytime to ease my mind. They take great care of her and she gets to play with other dogs. The staff is always very kind.

We could not be happier with the care that our dog gets when he boards at Country Acres. Our dog has some unique needs, and the team at Country Acres doesnt hesitate to meet them. They call if they have any concerns or questions and dont mind when I call to check in. Having someone always on the property contributes to my peace of mind, also.

Its a rare to find a group of people so in love with animals as you will find at country acres. They always take great care of each pet as their own. We have adopted two of our fur babies from them, because they have rescue cats and dogs there too. They even have a very talented person who can draw or paint your pets. A portion of that goes towards the rescue animals.

I havent had a frustrating experience with a store in a really long time. I really think its important for their staff to know what happened. I came to Country Acres Rescue a few weeks ago for a puppy adoption. The first thing I asked was if someone has already filled out a adoption form for the puppy before even looking at the puppy they said no one has. I said great took a look and confirmed my interest. When I went back to the front desk there was another new person at the counter, and I asked again are you sure no one filled out a form, and they said no. So I took the time to fill out a application form at the store and left. I asked them the time frame when it comes to hearing back they said a few days.I did hear back a few days later they had some questions, and then I asked when would I hear back they said another couple days. Also, I would like to note when I spoke to this woman she told me many adoption application forms were filled out for the puppy I was interested in, and she assumed the people there informed me of that. I personally didnt want to get into a argument with her so I said yes. However, I was really upset to hear that. After a couple days went by I called back, and the woman said she would leave a message with the person in charge of adoptions. Never heard back. A week or two went by and I didnt hear back, so again I called. The woman said she would look into it and call me back. I didnt hear back from her that day. Then the next day I finally received a call back. Which is actually the only reason why I put down a 2 star instead of a 1.When I was there the staff was very friendly I am assuming just not that informed? I thought the place was clean and inviting. I just was really surprised and disappointed by the serious lack of follow up. It hasnt deterred me from adopting future animals. I just wont be using this store in the future.

We would not trust our dogs with anyone else! We have used them for boarding and grooming. We also adopted a very special boy from their rescue. Most rescues would have given up on this baby, but not Country Acres. These folks are so caring and loving!

My experience with Country Acres goes back over 40 years! When I was a kid, my parents would board our cat Misty, then, in later years, Pebbles. More recently, my wife, children and I adopted 2 cats from Country Acres Rescue. Of course, we bring them to Country Acres when we travel. Our experience has always been top notch! The cats dont complain and my children are comfortable leaving their treasured pets there too. We make it a family trip to drop off and pick up the pets. The staff is always nice and accommodating when we visit. My kids love seeing all the other dogs and cats when we come in. We sometimes pop in just to buy a snack so the proceeds can support Country Acres Rescue. This is an old fashioned kind of business where the owners and staff truly care about their customers and their pets. Always a great experience, thanks!

This place is awesome. The staff is so friendly. Most importantly, my dog loves coming here. As soon as we turn on Weidman, she gets so excited, she cant wait to get inside. Wouldnt board any of my pets anywhere else.

They are great with the animals and with the rescue they have.

Staff were very courteous and helpful. My cat was too big for the original choice of suite and they moved him to a corner suite at no extra cost. While we were on our trip, they answered my emails promptly to let me know how my cat was doing. He is a nervous cat but settled in without any difficulty and was fine when we picked him up after our trip.

LOVE this place! Adopted my first dog from here two years ago! The staff is amazing, friendly and helpful, and the facility is homey and well-kept. They have so many different yards for the dogs to play in, and take great care in providing the best stay for your pet!

This place has heart. I was nervous about boarding my dog for the first time and it was evident that the staff took extra time with me to make me feel comfortable and at ease. They were sweet, patient and I could tell they really cared. Always able to accommodate Riley. And he comes home exhausted, so getting his daily exercise. Nice spacious accommodations - country near the city. His brush outs after baths dont always get loosed hair well but hes clean. He loves the staff.

Country Acres is the best rescue I have ever been to. My wife and I adopted our Betty from them, and only a month into us having her she bolted out the door. We were devastated and heartbroken. The staff at Country Acres not only helped us spread the word through promoted facebook posts, some of their staff went looking for Betty on their off time. Ive never seen such a show of support. Betty was found 5 weeks later and she continues to go in for grooming every month so the staff can see her. Ive been nothing but happy with the service from Country Acres; they have gone above and beyond. To give back for what they did for us I volunteer for them now one day a week. Every staff member there is friendly and helpful. Go to Country Acres for your adoption, the dogs there are sweet and playful, and this is the first rescue that Ive seen in the area that loves Pit Bulls, another review here mentions that they dont, that is just plain not true as I play with a couple of Pit Bulls during my volunteer shift weekly, and they are such a riot. Country Acres also offers many other services like boarding and play care if youre looking to spoil your current pup!

We adopted our sweet black lab Betty from Country Acres in September and they were wonderful to communicate with. She ran away from us only one month later and the staff at Country Acres were amazingly supportive and even donated to our GoFundMe to hire a dog tracking team. After 5 weeks we got her back and they could not have been happier! We take her back to get groomed and she is treated like a celebrity. They truly love and care about all of their animals. Wonderful rescue to support and they offer grooming and boarding!

The staff at Country Acres are the most compassionate and knowledgeable in the region. This is the only place that I will leave my dogs with because they treat my babies like their own. They are patient, they listen, and are able to accommodate my pets unique needs. I am so grateful that I can truly enjoy our family vacations knowing that my fur babies are in the best hands while we are away.

I love Country Acres! My black lab can be a bit nervous whenever she is away from us, but she does so well there-even for baths and nail trims! You can tell that everyone who works there cares about each pet during their stay as if they were their own :)

Country Acres is the only place Ill take my family pets. They have cozy living spaces with plenty of room and they offer a really cool service called Playcare where they spend extra time with my dogs and take them out for walks. Also, if you have a pet who needs medications or just has a few special needs, the staff is extremely reliable and their attention to detail is unmatched.

I love this place. Clean, safe, staff are patient and very understanding with your pets (Penny-cat). Ive been bringing my furr-baby to this facility for approximately 5 years and never a complaint. Would recommend this facility and I will continue to return. Thank you Country Acres.

Wonderful place and amazing staff. I boarded my crazy German shepherd fenris here years ago and while Im sure he drove them all nuts they were still always happy to see him.

One of the best, if not the best, place to board your cat in the St Louis area. Have used them for nearly 10 years. Excellent facility with a separate area for cats nowhere near the dog-boarding area.

I adopted my dog from them years ago and since then have used their grooming services. The staff is truly fantastic, their facility is always clean and they do an impeccable job with grooming. My dog is nervous and he always comes back happy and handsome. I couldnt ask for more.

This review is strictly for their cat boarding services. I felt very comfortable leaving my cat there for the weekend and everyone I dealt with was very nice and accommodating. There are a few things that bug me though. First, I wish they were open a bit earlier and a bit later. I like to call in during the weekend to check up on my cat and combined with their one hour lunch break, it’s hard to call at a time that they are available. Second, I had asked them to trim my cat nails and brush her during the weekend. When I went to pick her up, they said that there was no note taken of this request. I don’t live nearby so it’s actually not convenient for me to just set up a later appointment.

What initially drew us here was quality grooming. Their senior groomer was great with our dog and kept us going there for years. She left and the quality went down drastically. We have had 2 different groomets since both with bad experiences. This time got my dog back and he was scared and shaking the whole ride home. I was also charged extra because they had to muzzle him and he was tough to handle. After 5 years this seems to be a reflection on the inexperience of the groomer.

The kennel has good safety and security processes in place for boarding dogs. I was impressed with the care they take with double gating and multiple yards for exercising the dogs.

I LOVE this place! Everyone is so friendly and its just so cute & homey! I take my dog here for Playcare and he starts wagging his tail the minute we turn onto Weidman Road until we turn into Country Acres :) He always comes home happy & pooped! I feel very comfortable leaving my baby there. Playcare has also helped my dog for when I need to board him overnight. He knows the staff and the routine of the day. I give this place an A+ :))))

I have been sending my two elderly dogs there for 5 years, and I know they will receive excellent, loving care. A story was related to me that one of the attendants was looking for my two and found them on the lap of someone holding them in a rocking chair and loving them. Couldnt ask for a better situation! And, I am very happy to support Country Acres knowing that they also house a wonderful rescue organization. Everyone at Country Acres has always shown a great deal of care and concern for the needs of my two little ones and if a mistake is made, they are very quick to correct it. Highly recommend them, especially after I researched other options in the area. They are heads above the other places I visited.

As a mother of a fairly opinionated husky-shepherd mix, I had run into a number of behavioral issues with my pup that made it difficult for her to last very long at her previous playcare facility. When I came to Country Acres, they took the time to meet my pup, understand her, and group her with dogs that mesh with her temperament so everyone can have a fun and safe experience. My dog adored coming here 4-5/week and the only reason we stopped is due to relocation to another state. They were always happy to greet us, accommodating to whatever curveball I threw them regarding boarding or daycare pick up times, and my dog always came home cleaner than when I dropped her off. I would recommend to country acres to anyone who will listen, I cannot speak highly enough to their daycare and boarding services, and I think my girl would agree too!

Country Acres is an excellent place for both boarding & play full or 1/2 day play care. I have been taking my high energy Dalmatian/Pointer mix there for months. He loves it & is very well cared for. In fact, if Jordy could drive, he would drive himself. The staff are excellent, friendly and customer oriented (people & pets). Bath & nail grinding are very good as well.Jordy is my second second dog in several years that has experienced this wonderful place. We are a dog family & I highly recommend Country Acres to anyone looking for boarding or just a play care day for their pet.

They took great care of my guinea pigs, but my dog got an anal infection and bordetella. I would take my guinea pig again, but not my dog. Very nice staff though and gave us a wonderful tour.

Chris Collins...I think you may have posted on this feed by mistake. This is country acres in St. Louis. I believe the one you are referring to is in Texas. My understanding, however is that the law in that part of Texas prevents pit bulls breeds in shelters, not the shelter itself. The country acres boarding and rescue facility in St. Louis frequently accepts pitbull, boxer and bullmastiff mixes. They are an incredibly accepting and loving staff to every single animal they encounter. If you would be so kind as to remove your post from this feed, it would be helpful to their business that reviews are accurate to this location. Similar names of businesses can cause confusion. My dogs usually get scared when I leave them in any kennel, but not here. People are friendly and accommodating. My dogs seem to be very well taken care of.

It is a resort that takes very good care of our cat Paddie. I wouldnt want to take him anywhere else. Very clean also.

This rescue is such an amazing place. They love every single animal they come in contact with as if they were their own. They are a great company to work for and super fun. I remember them rescuing a beautiful white pitbull when I was working there, who was pregnant. She got the top treatment and was spoiled rotten till the pups were born and then they were spoiled too. Such a loving and caring staff.
