When I decided to sell my gun collection I chose Amoskeag because I needed the most professional auction firm as I was relocating to CA (from MA). So, I put all my trust in them and not only have not been disappointed but instead I could not be more pleased. They are the BEST.

Said my gun was worth $4,000. They put it up for auction for $750. Receptionist refused to let me speak with staff because they were working on a auction catalog. It was an urgent matter. I objected. So, they put my gun in last in the auction.

I have only used their online auctions, but their customer service has been extremely helpful, and knowledgeable whenever I have had questions.

Fine Auction House. Great service. Good variety for all levels. I used to go to the old Silent auction where you had to submit bids on paper. Got some nice lever guns there!

Very classy auction. This place is friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating, clean and they have some really amazing guns. If your looking for out of the ordinary or rare flawless pieces, this is your place. Their catalog of auction items is also done in a outstanding manner, very descriptive and professional. I would highly recommend.

The gun auctions are rather interesting. My husbands elderly aunt felt disappointed in the overall amount her guns went for during the three auctions she attended. Walking around the old renovated factory/mill building where the auctions take place is more fascinating ... especially to someone like me from San Antonio who is interested in history. The Merrimack River that flows behind the building is so beautiful! The flock of turkeys that live in a nearby cemetery are fun to watch.

Ive gone to 7 Gun Shops to ask information about a Flintlock I was thinking of selling. Some places said $ 50.00. The highest was $ 125.00. Most didnt know ANYTHING about it. Two Shops, Big Well Know I call them Gun Super Stores. One is know all over new England . THEY Told me it was a Wall Hanger Reproduction. $ 50.00 or less. At Amoskeag they told me Right of it was Not a Repro. I didnt get as much as I had hoped for. ( But that is true of All people. ) But they put it in a Very Nice Catalog. Their pictures and info went All over the World. I know they did their best for me as they usually do. I cant say enough Good about everyone there. Very Polite. Answered All my questions. There was a very young fella working there and I just Cant Believe the Knowledge of everything I asked him about. But they are all that way. If you have NEVER been there you Must go. Parking is not the greatest but you will go back again, I promise you this. If not to just look at the items they sell. More than I can tell. THE BEST. PERIOD.

Initially, had some issues with the shipping charges. Once the owner had time to review my complaints, he took the time to personally call me and resolved the problem. He also asked me, if in the future, I had any problems to contact him directly. It is good to know that there is still some good customer service out there. Thank You Amoskeag.

Spent half of my Saturday waiting on an item to come up through Proxibid. When it finally did, I won the auction for $900. Monday morning I get a call from these people telling me there was a clerical error and the item was sold through another online auction company for $950. The only resolution I was offered was they will call the other buyer and see it they want to sell it. How unprofessional. How are you going to let 2 online services run your auctions? I would have paid more if I was given the chance at the time of auction. NEVER AGAIN

Sold me a fake over the phone. When I received and told them it was a fake, they said they knew that and had announced it to the room. Since i was on the phone i was out of luck. Is that how you do business?
