We placed an order with Home Depot, and the shipment was to be delivered using YRC freight. We tracked the shipment until it arrived in Manassas. The shipment sat on the truck for days without anyone contacting us for delivery. Then days after the expected delivery someone called my husband to confirm delivery, even though we specifically said to contact me, as I am home. My husband did not answer as he is not able to at work. No one left a voicemail, because they said in an email, “ Outgoing message is in a foreign language however, it does identify Derek Ping in the message.” Since he did not answer the one time called, we received a nasty email from the company just after the phone call saying we would have to pay for storage or our items starting in about 10 hours. We emailed the company back- no response. I had to go and look up a number for the national office who assisted me in getting in touch with the Manassas office regarding the delivery. The local office is unhelpful and unprofessional. I will never order anything that has to be delivered by this company again.
YRC delivered what was supposed to be a 4 package furniture order. When the driver arrived, he asked me to offload the heaviest packages and didnt deliver one of the 4 packages on his freight ticket. I didnt realize there were supposed to be 4 packages until about an hour after he left. It wasnt obvious on the delivery ticket he asked me to sign. I called YRC customer service and was told I should follow up with the merchant I ordered the furniture with. They claimed they didnt have the 4th package even though it was on their ticket. They seem to be a very dishonest company that doesnt want to take care of their customers.
Ordered approximately 900-pounds of flooring from Rubber Flooring Inc. which YRC freight delivered to my residence in N. Virginia. Overall experience is 5-stars. Phone communication [with Pam] pre-delivery and day-of went smoothly as they were able to schedule and honor the delivery date that I proposed and provided a delivery window that was workable. Extra kudos to the driver who met me at the front of my property and then drove to the back of the home to drop off the pallet inside my garage.
I was refused service, on a pre paid, on a skid ready to go, I was ran off the property .And customer service hung up on me when I tried to get my money back ! I guess yellow does mean warning. I found a great place to deal with, Southeastern Freight Line, before I booked I talked to the manger, explained what happened at yellow, That was not an issue for them, and told me We want your business . There is a reason all there is is BAD yellow reviews., Yellow, the way it must be in China !
I was refused service. I had pre paid, had the correct paper work. And was refused service, then in trying to get refunded they hung up on me. Must be what its like in China
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. False promises and guarantees DO NOT trust anything they say. They had me wait an hour and a half after the due time then I had to call them for them to tell me that they loaded stuff in front of my delivery and they couldnt deliver. They said I would be first delivery next day and failed to do that. I had to call every hour to get updates. They will not call you and you have to sit on hold to get anywhere. Terrible company and customer service I would have scored lower if I could have.
Great place to work
They really dont seem to know what theyre doing. After delayed shipment I was promised next day delivery. Our equipment did not show so I called and was again promised next day early morning delivery. (now Ive called this place at least 8 times at this point in a matter of 1 1/2 days) as we have to deliver the equipment to the customer on our end.I asked for an email confirmation and and phone call. After an hour or so I did not receive either so I again call back and asked to speak with the Operations Manager at Manassas, David. David told me he would not be able to get it out (heard this just yesterday) until the afternoon. If they actually deliver it. So now we have our driver going to the actual facility to pick up our stuff, which were paying for.We were really accommodating with the first setback, but this was extremely unprofessional. If you say youre going to do something, do it or at least communicate otherwise. I think there is a lack of communication within this organization and they honestly seem lazy when it comes to actually shipping items...which is their job..One of the dispatchers told me the trucks dont even leave the facilities until after 9am which is kind of absurd.Ive asked my vendors to no longer use them, at least when it comes it our purchases.
The driver was extremely rude and lazy. I asked him to put the pallet on my property just past the gate at my driveway so that I could close the gate. He rolled it half as far as he needed to just to be a smart Alec and said OK can I leave it here. I said no, can you move it in six more feet so I can close the gate and he said no and pushed it back out onto the street, took his portable dolly and left. Didn’t care that I’m a senior citizen and couldn’t lift 600 pounds of freight to get into the driveway so I could secure it. All he had to do was push it in further the same distance that he pushed it back out onto the street it would’ve taken him literally five seconds to do that but he refused to. Then I called his supervisor David Ragh who was just as useless as the driver. No customer service skills at all.
I had my broker set up a shipment of 1 crate of glass coming form Canada to the United States. The company promised delivery by Monday from a Friday pick up. When they received the shipment the BOL had specific instructions to contact my broker for the paperwork and to get the information to process the shipment for entering into the US. They did not even look at the BOL until Saturday. Then proceeded to ask for the documents. They were given the document (Commercial Invoice) and still did not contact my broker with the information needed to enter the US. Ok so no I dont expect delivery on Monday as promised ok, I am flexible. Even thought they had all the items needed the shipment still did not cross the border until 6:01 am on Tuesday. Then when trying to get YRC to deliver asap like the next day I was told it would be an additional $2500 to have it delivered by Wed, ont op of the $500 I already paid for Delivery on Monday from a Friday Pick up. Yeah no was not going to pay you more money for something that should have already been delivered. So I talk to a manager in Customer service and she promises me we will get our shipment first thing Thursday morning, the warehouse is literally 30 minutes away!!! GUESS WHAT ITS 12:39PM ON THURSDAY AND I AM JUST NOW GETTING A SHIPMENT THAT WAS PROMISED TO BE DELIVERED BY MONDAY AT 12:00 PM. OH AND ON TOP OF THAT THE DRIVER WASNT EVEN GOING TO UNLOAD THE SHIPMENT, CAUSE IT ONLY WEIGHTS 120 LBS!!!!!!!!DO NOT SHIP WITH THESE PEOPLE i HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED SUCH HORRIBLE SHIPPING AND IVE BEEN IN THE BUSINESS FOR OVER 30 YEARS!!!!!!!!
Great for all your shipping needs
I can not stress enough how rude and unprofessional this second delivery company was both on the phone and in person. The YRC Fright driver refused to let me use the dolly, made me pull the and drag the pallet myself across the road and on to our property. When I requested we use the dolly like the first shipment had done his was response to me was, “I don’t care what the other driver did, I am not getting my dolly off this truck. I am not doing it.” Then while I was still dragging the pallet to my property he got mad that I had not left taken the receipt at the same time and he stuck in the fence and just drove away.
YRC is by far the worst! Terrible customer service all the way around. Warehouse people in the Virginia location are the most unprofessional people I have ever met! 2-day package delivery was 3 days late and the people didnt care about my concerns. YRC will either have to change their business model or will most likely will go under if their primary focus is not customer satisfaction. One STAR rating is too much for YRC!
I picked up an item at the Manasas terminal so it wasnt a residential delivery, but my experience was great . Prompt, friendly service. They brought my item down the ramp with the forklift within a few minutes and even helped load it into my SUV.
Excellent place to ship freight
This company is extremely disorganized and unhelpful. I have had a few furniture deliveries through them, and they seem to go out of their way to make your life harder. They give huge windows for delivery (9-5) where someone needs to be present at all times. Its 2016, they cant narrow that window at all? Their drivers are just driving at random without connectivity or delivering in any particular order? While Ive never had issues with the drivers, the office staff in Mananas is dismal. Especially the gentleman that sometimes answers to phone, and the woman whose name is not Katrine. Everything is hard with them, and requires multiple transfers and phone calls where you are treated unprofessionally. Collectively they are miserable, they all must have terrible lives and no manors. Simple daily functions with them are arduous... like canceling a pickup, or scheduling a delivery. THEY ARE A FREIGHT COMPANY. Unfortunately they are a freight contractor that is used by Costco, so Im forced to deal with them. I will also be sending my thoughts to Costco after this many poor interactions. I dont write google reviews often, however the service with YRC is so bad that Im writing this one to warn everyone to stay away. This is not the kind of company you want representing your business!
This shipping company is absolutely inept. I ordered two kayaks from Walmart.com and they both shipped from the same location in Texas. One was lost and sat in Dallas for a week until I had customer service locate it. The other one made it to Manassas, VA and is sitting there. Are they ever going to actually to some delivering?! Walmart just said the one isnt going to be delivered now until next week! WTF?! UPDATE: Was told today by Manassas customer service that delivery would be another week because they are short handed. No apologies, just matter of fact deal with it. Sheesh.
This company is terrible. If I could give it zero stars I would. We have been expecting a delivery since Monday and it is now Friday. I live in the DC area and we have been hit with some bad winter weather this week, I get it. I dont have an issue with them not being able to deliver it. I have an issue with the fact that its been scheduled three times this week and not once have I gotten a call saying they wouldnt be able to deliver it. Each time I found out the delivery wasnt happening by calling to see where they were. Each time Ive called Ive also been reassured the delivery would happen - I was told that unless the area got a foot of snow, they would be out delivering. we get about 5 inches of snow and guess what? Not delivering to residential addresses. When talking to a supervisor (wish I had gotten his name), he didnt care to hear our story. He continually interrupted me saying Act of God, Act of God. Absolutely zero customer service. This company does not care about you whatsoever. Unfortunately when you order something, you dont get to pick which freight company delivers you your product. If I could pick, no way Id pick YRC Freight.
Always helpful and professional.
Kayak delivery eventually happened and without any damage to mine. Although the other kayak in the truck had less padding and looked scraped up on the base.First day delivery attempt was completely missed with no call - even with cell phone provided for call ahead.2nd day delivery occurred but no call ahead, luckily I went home assuming they would show up without a call.
We had no issue getting our shipment. However, it is hard to figure out where to go when you get there since the place is huge and reaching a person on the phone is impossible. Package was unharmed and loaded by workers onto our trailer. Thanks
Horrible experience. After many phone calls I finally got my delivery scheduled and my items were severely damaged and still delivered.
Very bad experience. We recieved a shipment from YRC and half of the boxes were missing. I called the delivery terminal and found it difficult to get anyone on the phone. 30 minutes later being on the phone I was transferred to a lady named Kia. I told her that half of my shipment was missing and she said she would call down to the dock to see if anything could be found.Hearing nothing back I call back 24 hours later and talked to Kia and she said Hold on, Ill go look (basically saying that she had not done anything about looking for my lost stuff). She came back and said its not there. She said shell put out an APB for it. I said great how long before I know something. She said I dont know. Ill only call you if we find it, Im not going to call you everyday and tell you your stuff is lost I was kinda stunned that she said that. making it look like I was the problem. Then she says I gotta get off the phone, I cant talk to you all day I was on the phone with her for 5 minutes.Heres the deal, Stuff gets lost I know that. But when you treat the customer like crap because you lost there stuff its uncalled for.
Lady in the phone is super rude and very un-professional! Delivery window is huge 9am to 5pm.
Terrible experience. Single point of failure for an entire organization is not acceptable. Very rude on the phone for a mistake they made.
Worst company I have ever dealt with! I wish I never gave them my business the first time. **DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS!**
