Not happy with this company at all!! We just started the service. We paid ahead of course, I understand that’s how most of them do it! We paid August 8, 2021 our can was dropped off the following day, letter stating will pick up on Fridays. Have our can out by 6am. I called company at 4:30 pm. I left a message because they did not answer. They still have not returned my call, my can has stayed at the curb all week. Thinking that it was the first week maybe the need time to get service schedule set up. Today is August 20th still has not been picked up or any phone call received letting me know what’s going on. When I called to start the service they returned my call but can not seem to return a call when there is a problem. I hope this gets taken care of, I will gladly update this when it is handled. I do not appreciate service like this! I would much rather be leaving a good review!
I am updating my review from 2 stars to 4 stars. Someone reached out this morning to let us know the lid would be fixed today and shortly after the call the lid was in fact replaced. Thank you!CUSTOMER SERVICE ISSUE - Very disappointed with my latest dealings with this company. Today marked the 5th or 6th time in the last 2-3 months that I have personally called this company to have my broken trash lid fixed on the dumpster at my business. Prior to my calls another employee called a few times with no luck, hence the reason for me stepping in. Each time we called (collectively) we were promised that someone would come out and fix/replace the lid. The last time someone came by was a few weeks ago. The person who came to fix the lid couldnt fix it because he needed a part or something but said he would come back later that day to fix it (which never happened). Well low and behold it is still not fixed, no call, no follow up, NOTHING! So I had to call yet again and got the run around as usual. Fortunately, someone called me back relatively quickly to tell me that she is calling on behalf of the owner and that I need to pay $100 to have the dumpster lid fixed. I had to get off the phone because I was so angry. You wasted my time calling you over at least a 2-3 month period to finally tell me I have to pay to have the broken lid fixed. I could care less about the $100 (although I think it is absolutely ridiculous), I am just disappointed with the whole situation. We did not break the lid and should not have to pay for it to be fixed. I also want to point out that the dumpster that was provided to us looks like it needs to go to the dump itself. I know dumpsters arent supposed to be anything spectacular but this particular one is a complete eye sore as it is all rusted and dry rotted (see attached). I honestly think the trash lid broke when it was being dumped onto the trash truck. Not sure how/why the owner thinks we could have broken it as all we use the dumpster for is regular household trash and cardboard boxes from deliveries. Either way, if he/she thought that they could have addressed this with me professionally months ago.
They can take the unbroken boxes from houses on my street for recycling but apparently my broken down boxes get placed in my *trashcan.* Then they toss my recycling bin into the neighbors driveway.If broken down boxes are no longer accepted outside of the recycling bin, inform the HOAs that use your services. I’ve lived at my address for over a year. I don’t know what’s changed but this has been going on for over two months.
Our HOA uses this useless company for our trash and recycling. The reason why this company is declining, is because of those hydraulic trucks! Because the driver couldn’t walk no more than 7 footsteps to wheel our bin to “his” truck, he wouldn’t take our trash. I had offered to wheel the bins to him so he could throw the trash away, but his response, leaving... I am going to start a petition to REMOVE this useless company away from our neighborhood. I know I have at least 25 votes because they are also having this problem.Patriot Customer Service Quote... “The customer is NEVER right”Please start a petition in your neighborhood if you are having these similar problems.
Unfortunately our HOA uses this company, but I plan to ensure that is changed. Do not honor their service commitments. Impossible to get a hold of their customer service team when you call. Avoid at all costs.
I called for a furniture/bed removal. Pick up was scheduled for Friday 2/12/21. All items were put and still remain on our curb. The trash cans were emptied, but the furniture still remains. I called and yes, you verified my address, River Falls area. You advised the truck is scheduled to pick up, all items. Well today is Saturday morning 2/13/21?and my old furniture, bed, etc. is still on the curb.
I have scheduled for bulk pick up in Carolyn Forest since 6/8/21 and is now Wenesday night 6/16/21 with all the rain on my funiture and no one has picked my trash yet even after calling the office several times. Someone in the office promise me they will come by and pick up myfuniture today and no one showed up again.
Every Sunday night we put out our grass (and only grass) in brown bags and every Monday they don’t pick our grass up. This has been going on for over a year. I have to call every week and tell them they missed our grass again. And the lady on the phone is worthless and says she can’t do anything about it. We are paying for a service we are not getting and the only number we can call can’t help us.
Not impressed with their service at all. One of their drivers hit my car while it was parked in front of my house with their truck. They only left a note and didnt bother ringing my doorbell to let me know. Now a month later and still never have been contacted back by any manager there to get the insurance claim taken care of. Disgrace of a business
These guys get absolutely no support. They do an awesome job in an extremely difficult environment. Their work and their hours will absolutely crush any of our abilities. Thank you for doing an awesome job and really going the extra mile to make sure our recycling needs are met. Way to go!! Your actions in Goose Preserve were above and beyond this morning.
Was suppose to get this service this week. Well they dont want to bring out trash cans before then!Why am I gonna pay you to pick up my trash this week when you cant give me cans to put trash in!?
I’m so happy I switched. Was with another company (trash tech) for the past year. So many problems. Got skipped, called and they were so unresponsive so I switched to Patriot. This company was awesome. Have done everything they promised and I hope they know how much I appreciate them.
A few times now they have not taken our weekly household trash in the assigned can. Very poor quality and service. I will be speaking with our HOA to change companies that will actually regularly perform the service they are paid to do.
I never had a problem with them until they started using a hydraulic truck. I could leave out bags next to my garbage bin and they would pick them up. Now, they will not get out to pick up extra bags even though Ive been trying to limit them. Im planning on contacting my HOA and making a complaint.
Not satisfied. My apartment building employs Patriot to collect recycling and trash. Week after week I see the truck roll in and pick up all the recycling just to then dump all of the trash on top of it. What is the point of us separating and paying for recycling service if this is not what is provided. My biggest concern is that thousands of pounds of recycling is likely going to the landfill every week and thats just from one building.
Absolutely awful. Weve been paying for their services per the HOA for 2 months now. They refuse to provide a trashcan. If we use our own bins, they dont pick it up.Idk why they operate the way they do, but it is exhausting and frustrating.Their customer service is unhelpful, so who do I complain to????
Our HOA contracts for trash and recycle pickup. They have missed my trash twice in a month and missed my cardboard recycle twice also. Service has really declined lately.
I use their issues containers for trash and recycle, per my HOA requirement. If I ever have spillover/extra trash and use a constrainer of my own to put the recycle or trash in they never take it. It’s a mystery I can’t seem to understand. If I put the bass out and let animals chew them then that is an HOA violation, so I put them in a container but the trash company won’t take anything that is not in my own.
Update: They picked up the garbage on next pickup day. It seems the call to customer service works or just because they are in good mood.Original post:They dont pick up all the trash from the trash can for no reason, sloppy work. Now the kitchen trash will just stay there for several more summer days. And they also decide to ignore the yard waste bags today, clearly not honoring what they are advertising on their website. Calling their customer service, and there are 21 callers before me in the queue, 21 callers for a small local garbage collection company! Based on how bad their service is, guess I should not be so surprise.
If I could give them zero stars I would. I’ve been in the trash industry for 20+ years. They missed my trash two of the last three collections. When I called they said it would have to wait for the next collection even though THEY missed it. Still waiting on a call back. They ABSOLUTELY SUCK!!!!!!
Didnt pick up trash. Guess my can wasnt on the curb enough for them.
A large object flew off the back of one of their trucks and it smashed my windshield. The driver would not pull over and fled. I left voice messages and emails for the company and they will not call me back. Shady AF.
I live in Burke VA, these guys do a great job. The driver and guy on the back of the truck are outstanding always smiling and giving a friendly wave.
They sure are very selective what to pick up, which is ridiculous. I live in Burke Centre Conservancy. They started contract last year with this company. The previous company was so much better in terms of service.
While walking our neighborhood truck 200 driver walked up to retrieve the bin for the resident, dumped the bin and then walked the bin back up the drive where it’d been left! Doing over and beyond the expected job! Kudos!

This company is AWFUL!!!!We live in the Burke Conservancy, and are stuck with them, but if you have a choice.. RUN!!! They dont take pride in their job at ALL, they will spill trash, and not clean it up, and will leave a big mess.. when then come at 6:00am in a townhouse community, they are screaming, yelling and cursing at each other, have no courtesy for the families that live here.. they even refuse to take trash..

Our HOA employs them. Weekly event that empty garbage cans and debris must be cleaned up.
Im sad to see so many negative reviews. My experience has been much better, thankfully. Theyve gone above and beyond to accommodate me (Im disabled and live alone). Sure occasional hiccups occur, usually when theres a staff change on my route. But the lady who handles the calls has always done a great job in getting things right.

Parriot consistently drops the ball on professionalism. Several times they havr just not picked up trash oand many times left an absolute mess including spr getting glass and debris everywhere creating an unsafe and hazardous environment. Unresponsive to complaints as well.
They only take the garbage from a single container the container that has their name, they do not take the garbage from personal containers (regardless of whether you bought yours 8 years ago)
This company used to be great. With that said, over the last couple of years, it seems every quarterly bill, our rates are raised 2-5%. Even while theyre raising our rates, they have restricted service. They lessened the frequency of trash pickup, and lessened the types of recyclables twice this year.
My homeowners association signed a contract with Patriot this year and it’s been awful. We have trash pickup twice a week and they consistently miss a pickup each week or they don’t pick up all the trash and it sits there for 6 days. I cannot believe this company can stay in business with such bad service.
When they pickup trash early in the morning they MAKE SOOO much noise! now they pickup trash TOO LATE AND ITS ANNOYING! why cant they pickup trash and recycling AT THE SAME TIME! they also dont dispose of paint or make an extra trip or plan a trip to pick it up! What the heck are we paying them for? This is a very unorganized company who employs savages!
They keep breaking our cans and throwing away the lids and will not reimburse or replace them. Zero accountability. And some days they dont pick up all the garbage just some of it. A little ridiculous.

Honestly, these folks are the WORST. Waited over 30 minutes on hold last week, now coming up on an hour today and still only number 8 in the queue. Surly customer service with little apparent interest in earning my actual business. Hard to imagine how they remain in business!
