By far the worst location to rent a car in the state of Massachusetts. They’re understaffed and very unprofessional. They barely have any vehicles and the ones that are there don’t work. The car they gave had bad transmission and stopped working while on the way to work.I waited for 3 hours to get my car towed and when they booked a Lyft for me to get a replacement vehicle, they send me to the Logan Airport location that only deals with retail customers.Afterwards, I give them a call to let them know, and they said they can’t help me because they don’t know where the car was towed. So, instead of looking it up and doing their due diligence I’m stuck on the phone trying to do it for them.If you can deal with another rental company, then I suggest you do so because Hertz has the worst customer service and vehicles.
Sooo unprofessional. The car wasn’t ready for us, the tried to overcharge us and we waiting 45 minutes for our car. Would NOT recommend. We don’t plan to ever use Hertz again.

Worst customer service ever, I scheduled a pick up time and I had to wait 50 minutes and no body show up and I had to take Lyft to hertz. At the drop off, I had unpleasant experience, the guy who received the car wasn’t wearing a mask, I asked him for ride to home and he said it is not my job to do it. I will never deal with hertz in my life again. Thank you for being rude to me.

I wouldnt go anywhere else. Maj and Chevy are the absolute best in every area. They always go above and beyond for everyone. My car is always immaculate and ready to go. Jovin is super nice and Mike the driver is super personable and very professional. I love Hertz Malden!!

The staff here is friendly, fast, and have gone above and beyond on two different occasions to make sure I was a satisfied customer. They also keep their cars in excellent condition, and they often have nicer cars than some of the other Hertz locations in the area.
I have been in this location twice trying to get an estimate since I couldnt do t online/over the phone.Even though there ate usually 3-4 associates, there is one person ONLY who is attending. WAITING TIME IS ALWAYS A NIGHTMARE.I WONT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION
Great experience here. I had my car in the body shop for 3 weeks, and these guys really made my day (on what was an otherwise crappy day getting in an accident!). Chevy (employee here) was very friendly and helpful in getting me into a new Subaru Outback. I was comfortable the entire time I had the car, and was thankful that Chevy went the extra mile to make it a good experience.Seemed like they were in the middle of renovating their office, but didnt affect my overall experience. I would recommend them for getting a rental car in this area
Absolutely horrible experience. Arrived with my 4 month old baby and even though I had made a reservation they told me they didn’t have cars available and they had no idea how long it would take. I understand things can happen but I received no email or no phone call before arriving and I received absolutely no apology for that. The employees have no concept of customer service. Took my business to Enterprise just down the street. NEVER AGAIN HERTZ.

Hold times for hours, nobody knows how to put a reservation together, worst part is you can only talk to them direct and cant go online for specific vehicles..

Very questionable business. When I returned the car, they told me they would charged me $204.00, on my debit card, for the 9 days of renting. Next day, when I checked my bank account online, I have noticed that they had charged me $355.00 instead. When I called them, they told me that this amount was the total amount for the rental plus security deposit and that the payment is made by the SYSTEM, and that they have no control over it; and also that the total would be $232.00, not $204.00 anymoreHow can you charge security deposit, on a debit card - cash -, when you return the car? Why do they keep extra money for 7 business days after you had returned the car?I do not recommend this business!!!!!!

Asked them for our car and paperwork to be delivered at the nearby mechanic. Came without the mid size car and no paperwork causing us to miss a doctors appointment and incur additional fees. Definite not worth it. I wouldnt recommend this place unless you have to go here.

Not great service! Do not respect their word. Kept telling me that the the person is on the way for 45 mins however the pick up spot was just 13 mins drive. Not happy with this location at all. This is definitely hertz worst location by far.

DO NOT IGNORE THE REVIEWS. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. I rented a car from here for one day. ONE DAY. I called and asked what they wanted me to do with the car when my car was ready. I was told to leave it at the shop and they would pick it up. Long story short they picked it up two days later and tried to charge my card 275 for a car I had for literally one day. Had to call headquarters who told me it would be returned in 3 days along with my security deposit. If a place tries to rip you off after renting a car for ONE DAY I can only imagine what they try to pull with other customers. Go to Enterprise instead and save yourself the headache.

I got an insurance rental from them for $30.00 per day all in. I was very specific that I didnt care what type of car it was as long as I didnt have to come out of pocket to drive it and I mentioned this at least three times while writting up the rental agreement. At the end of the 20 day plus rental which my insurance company paid for every day of I returned the car and was told I was all set. A couple of weeks later I get a bill from Hertz corporate looking for $63.00 with no explanation. I called them and all they could tell me was call the Malden office to find out what the charge was for. I called the Malden ofice and spoke with my rep. who didnt know what the charge was for either but he told me he would check it and get back to me, he never did I always had to call him. after three attempts with him I called the office Manager Chevy and explained the whole thing to him. After many calls back to him (apparently their phones must not be able to call out) I gave up and called my credit card company to take it for my charges. A couple of weeks later I get a letter from Hertz collection agency telling me to pay the $63.00 or they will show it as charged off on my credit so I did end up paying it and still dont know what I paid for. Bottom line is dont believe what they tell you there will always be an additional for nothing.

BUT at this location, the service is PATHETIC, HORRIBLE. Steven is a CHEAT. Will promise you everything but at the last moment will leave you in a situation when you are at his mercy and have no choice!!

This is the worst rental car location i dealt with my whole life. So unprofessional and never get and answer when you inquire about something over the phone. Just bad! Very bad! Never going there again and don’t recommend it to anyone!
