Lorenzo gets it done fast and crispy every time make sure you have an appointment though especially on a Saturday or Friday or you will be out waiting. Two hair cuts for both me and my son in 30-40 minutes. Good atmosphere for kids and adults. Even have TVs with the game on which is awesome

Called 6 times on 2 different occasions to set up an appointment & no answer. (Yes, it was during business hours) Sent two separate emails from website. (Yes, during business hours) No response. I was willing to do the “membership” to schedule appointments online yet their website is so poorly designed I don’t know how to do that. I’ve been searching for a good barber since I’ve been in Madison for last 5 years. I even had a friend refer me to JP Hair Design. I was excited to check them out and maybe this honest review will prompt the owner to reach out. If I hear back and go through with the appointment I will happily update my review.

Excellent barber shop. The barbers are very nice inside. I went in without an appointment and was able to be squeezed in fairly quickly. The haircuts are quality, I will definitely be coming back here.

The haircuts are average. They do not take their time on the cut it’s almost a race and who can cut the most hair in one day.

Awesome place for all ages, everybody who goes in, comes out looking like a whole new person. After you are done, I bet you will have a smile on your face. I drive from out of town to bring my son. He especially likes Mr. Brown, but all the young men working there are truly talented people! Very nice too.

My sons barber is Ron and he is the best with kids! I cant go anywhere else other than JPs. The entire staff is very polite and I love that no profanity policy as we all know a barber shop can become very rowdy at times. I also love the fact that JP takes kids and tries to teach them the value of hard work by letting them sweep or fold towels to pay for their own cuts. Such an awesome establishment.

I walked in there for my first time and the barber i got was Lorenzo Brown. He asked me what i wanted he was respectful and nice. I already knew he was going to do a good job. I needed a haircut for graduation and he did an excellent job and does a great job cutting hair he took his time and it turned out well. I really reccomend this place.

You really have to be careful who you go to in here. Ive gotten ok cuts from here before. my usual Barber told me he didnt have time to get me (he regularly does this, another reason Im not a fan) and told me to go to another guy next to him. this guy didnt give me the cut I asked for, didnt follow any of my instructions, and took my cheek line on my beard down AN INCH. an inch! a blind man could feel his way and not hack off that much. I have a full beard that took a while to grow. its going to take me 3 months to recover from this beard trim. Also, this dude left all this hair growing out of my line. Still, its the best place in town...

Personable staff...well priced...and very skilled barbers that can cut ALL styles of hair. Impressive people skills are a huge plus, and JP hires local students to help work around the shop. I wouldnt choose to go anywhere else.

Always over scheduled so the wait is long, have to wait 30-40 everytime after scheduled time. Friendliness is absolute zero.

Good place.Just don’t go with Lorenzo, he is not good at all. He schedules to many people at the same time. i had an appoinment at 2:45 and didt get my hair cut until 3:25. also 3 people came in with an appoinment while I was on the chair. he is in a rush the whole time which leads to a terrible terrible job. He should be faired, make the this place look bad. Everyone else is good.

If I could give zero I would. Didnt realize until after I got home and looked at pictures from the day before, how bad my beard was RAPED in there. Took off at LEAST a half inch which is a month worth of growth. Not only that knocked down my cheek line over a quarter inch. All that for asking to clean it up?? If you have a good beard going stay far far away. Complete bullshit.

One star for same day appointment and I’m EXTREMELY disappointed with my sons haircut. I showed a picture of the Haircut style and it looks nothing like it. Told him the length since my son has long hair, took way to much off, and on top of that the fade and line was crooked! I tried telling the barber of what needs to be fixed but he made it worst! Not going back ever!

After my first visit to JPs I feel the bar has been raised on future haircuts. I shave my head so short that I am nearly bald, in a professional way and honestly I didnt realize there was much one could do to make it look better; I dont want designs or anything on my head. Spenser cut my hair using clippers and a straight razor & it makes the last 10 years of haircuts look pedestrian in hindsight. Its my new place going foward; I will recommend JPs Hair to everyone

WORST shave. Cut me twice with an electronic razor and gave me horrible razor burn everywhere. Will never come here again. The hair cut was good, but he rushed the shave. Would not recommend for anyone with facial hair.

Make an appointment and youll be in and out in 30 minutes with a sharp haircut.

Worst Haircut I have ever had in my life. My barber didnt even cut the top of my hair and my sideburns were totally uneven. Bad business on their part, also costed me 24 dollars. I got the type of haircut that once you get home you have to touch it up yourself because it was done so wrong.
