Called ahead the day before stating that I would like to look at a Honda Odyssey the next day. Steve said he would have it out and ready for me when I came by. Next day I get there and ask to test drive the Odyssey and he proceeds to tell me that the car is buried behind 5 other cars and points to the back of the property and said we are closing soon. I wasted two hours of my day just driving there spare yourself the heartache and avoid at all costs. Was going to buy on the spot if a good vehicle with cash. He let it walk out the door ha!
Would never recommend to ANYONE. I have had nothing but issues every other week since October when I bought the vehicle. He claimed to fix some things to make it right then 2 days later I was on the side of the road with my 10 year old and 2 month old baby. This man took full advantage of me. I even told him from the jump I am trying to purchase a reliable vehicle for me and my children. He just saw dollar signs.
Went to look at and test drive a 2012 Elantra. When I got there, nobody approached me or said anything to me. Asked if we wanted to start the elantra, couldn’t even test drive it because it was parked in by 5+ cars. When they started the car, it wouldn’t start and they had to jump it. Didn’t say anything as to why. Just jumped it and walked away. Bad customer service.

Steve is one of the friendliest, down to earth car sales guys ever. He treats everyone the same and with the best of assumptions. It has taken me awhile to get around to writing this review but that is because I have so much to say :) I traded in my old car back on Fourth of July 2020. Steve was very willing to meet me with the budget I brought in and the expectations I had around trading my car in. He even gave a little more than the car was worth in order for me to stay in the range I wanted to. I jumped very quickly and spent only a few minutes in the car with it on since I have no car knowledge whatsoever. So the rest of this story is a little more on me. Right away I noticed the cars air was not working so well so Steve had his guys hit it with a charge (yes, car people this is probably not correct terms but just bear with me). While doing that they noticed another piece that needed to get replaced. Steve took the costs and helped get the car up to speed. We scheduled a time for me to come back as they needed to order the piece in.To fast forward through my story, the air conditioner ended up having a leak and needed more pieces to be replaced. Through this all, (since his garage didnt have those capabilities) Steve sent me to Abdul, a mechanic with his own little shop who works with Steve. Abdul was also great and super helpful. Steve helped cover labor costs and parts that made sense.Long story short, the car had/has some problems but what do you expect from a used car that I didnt look at much. His guys make sure all the checkmarks are checked before the car goes off the lot but theres things that you dont know until the car runs around for a while. During this time Steves Auto moved locations so I got to experience being in both offices. The new location has a more intimate setting in the office but is brighter and Steve is very attentive to the needs of the customers and communicative. He is quick to pick up calls and text back and forth. One visit we had miscommunication on timing and the shop ended up being closed when I arrived. He quickly worked with any of his connections and sent me to Abdul who helped me fix my car quickly.All in all a great local place. If you need a used car and a friendly, non-pushy salesman come to Steves Auto!
I found my dream car, a Nissan GTR, via an entire US based online search that took weeks. It just happened to be at Steve’s Auto Sales in WI, though I live in Colorado. The car met my parameters, at least from what I could read online (price, year, color, modifications, mileage, etc.). But, it’s a rare car and typically abused if on the used market. I decided to call up Steve and see what I could learn.From the get-go, I felt comfortable with Steve as he did his best to answer my many questions, some quite technical. Ultimately, I felt comfortable enough to make a verbal agreement with him on the phone and book a one-way flight to WI. He met me at his office toward the end of the workday and stayed well past closing time to assist me as my flight time could only get there so early.As I am on his lot and completing paperwork on likely the most expensive car he has for sale at the time, a couple young men walk up the sidewalk. They were dirty (likely from work), hair a mess, holes in their sweat pants, dirty white tank tops, etc. Apparently one of them was a former satisfied customer who was bringing his buddy in for a car. It was after hours, Steve’s helping me to buy the money car, and he excuses himself to go chat with these guys. Here’s what blew my mind that I wouldn’t find elsewhere…he treated those boys the exact same way he treated me. Same language, same respect, same mannerisms, and no judgments. Made me respect him and his business even more. You could tell he was there to help everyone and was willing to treat everyone equally, like he really cared about your experience there. It was refreshing to see.Took me a month or so to get to this review. I drove the car home 900 miles the next day, then still wanted to feel it out and make sure I didn’t have a lemon. I took it to Nissan for a full inspection; I then took it to a local tuner and dyno for testing and inspection. The car is in amazing shape. Well maintained, needs nothing, and hyper reliable…awesome accolades for a street legal race car.Steve was helpful and friendly on the test drive, during paperwork, and helping me find my way around town and know where to eat. Highly recommend him and his dealership.

Seen Steve on a interview advertising the car I was looking into he seemed like a nice guy, first day I went over he showed no care that I just walked into his dealership. He makes it seem convincing when he says “you’re the 6th person that asked about the car” yet the car has been sitting in the lot over a month, anyways I loved the car so much I came to see it again that day he was out moving cars and again had no care that I was there thinking about spending almost $20K fist thing he asked me was “How are you financing with?” What kind of customer service is that? I my self work in Direct Sales for a fitness company and that’s just bad customer service. Point is he wouldnt talk to me or negotiation anything about the car, I think he didn’t take me serious, I asked about the history and he said “don’t have it” dude was rude decided he’s not worth giving $20K with that service. You could of had a buyer!

I bought my truck from Steve about 3 1/2 years ago.. and its still running like a champ.. with a few repairs though out the years, but it happens.. when I bought my truck the rear view mirror was cracked,however Steve took the time to fix it, out of his own pocket to make sure I was a happy camper, when purchasing my truck. Saw a truck I was interested in on car gurus, called Steve asked him about the truck. He described the truck to me, told me it had some rust in areas that normally gets rust, (rocker panels ). Decided to go take a look it was a 6 hour drive. Steve was very friendly and the truck was how he described it. Let me and my son take it for a test drive. The truck is mechanically sound, waa I very good shape. Purchased the truck and drove it home, on the way Steve called me and asked how I liked the truck. Good man, was honest on all he said . Im very happy with my purchase.
Do not buy a car from here you will have nothing but problems and the owner is the worse ever to deal with. Bought a 12,000 car within 24 hours it would not start called steve he said my problem needs new motor cost of new motor 8,200 besides having to pay to get it put in. Do NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

One day after I bought it it wouldnt start so i replaced the battery it happened AGAIN three days later! My mechanic has to replace the harmonic Balancer, crank shaft damper, serpentine belt along with multiple other things such as the starter had to be replaced on the 3rd day after I bought it... Steves own mechanic told my husband after we bought it that they put soap on the belt so they wouldnt squeal... I want a refund!

I bought a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer from Steve. He acknowledge verbally or checked off all the points, that the car was in working order. Turned out to be the car from hell. Battery, electrical, air conditioning, gas tank, 4 wheel drive, and a whole lot more. Had car towed in 3 times. This all happened within weeks after purchasing. I paid $3000+trade for car. I already put over $2000 into it. Decided now to trash it rather than spend an additional $1300 to $1600 to repair 4 wheel drive. Of course he alibied that he thought all the above was in working order. He gave me immediately a little relief in repair of air conditioner service. That was it. Great salesman. Very personable. But a con guy. Completely misrepresented what he was selling. Even my own trade which had issues. He turned right around and listed it at a ridiculous price not informing potential buyers of problems.

Bought an 08 Saturn from Steve which I thought was really nice and he even went down on the price for me on the car and the warranty however the 2 rear tires needed to be replaced, back breaks and the oil needed to be changed and I still bought it because those were easy fixes. Once we left the lot about an hour later the Check Engine light came on. Mind you I came to see the car the day before and there was no Check Engine light on or the next day when we test drove it. So I called Steve and let him know and his response was that it had already been on the entire time when it wasnt so as I started reading the dealership papers I realize that he wrote that it had the Check Engine light and sold as is when that wasnt the case them as I proceeded to read and saw that the sale was final TWO HOURS after purchase so I hurried back to get a refund. Once me and my boyfriend arrived him and Steve went back and fourth about the car and Steve was being rude and unprofessional. LETS JUST SAY IM GLAD WE WERE ABLE TO GET OUR MONEY BACK!CON CON CON!!!!!
One word: DECEPTIVE. Dont waste your time and money. Update: In response to Steves comments, he obviously does not tell the WHOLE story, but not surprising, since he seems to have problems with honesty. What DID happen was: After talking to Steve on the phone about the vehicle, ( I live in NH, 1,100 miles away, ) and being told, along with his PRINTED ADVERTISING that there were NO ISSUES with this vehicle, I flew out to see it.When I arrived, I asked if he would put the vehicle up on his lift to inspect the underside, was told that he had another vehicle on the lift and couldnt. He said that the vehicle was ready to go, fully inspected. I did take a brief test drive, and based on what I was told, purchased it. While driving home, less than an HOUR later, all the warning lights came on in the dashboard, along with the exhaust coming apart simultaneously. I was 50 miles from the dealership on a Saturday afternoon/evening.I called Steve, he didnt try to come and get the vehicle or me, just asked for pictures. I took as many as I could and sent them, Steve never called back, or answered his phone. I had to arrange to tow the vehicle back home at great expense.After getting the vehicle home, I contacted the dealerships that had serviced the vehicle in the past, finding out that the vehicle had major engine issues which was the reason the prior owner traded it in and that the warning lights on the dashboard had to have been cleared/erased by someone in order to resell it.After about a week of trying to get Steve on the phone, I contacted the Wisconsin dealership oversight bureau, sending in all my documentation, pics, his ad stating the condition, texts, etc. After a couple of weeks, I was told that Steve was willing to fix the problem, IF I payed to return it to him. ($1,000). He was unwilling to have the vehicle repaired by a factory dealer/repair shop in my state, insisting that it be returned to him.The investigator, Mr. Harding, also told me that he told Steve to either fix the issue or give me my money back. So, I returned it, waited several more weeks for him to fix the problem. And although Steve wanted me to sign off that I was a happy customer, I refused to sign the papers saying so. Oh, and BTW-, I saved all of the ads, communications, towing reciepts, emails, pics, texts, phone logs, etc. So if anyone wants to verify what I just stated, it would be no problem.
Steve is helping me find a new car. So far, very impressed! He is making sure it is the right one for me. I will follow up when we close the deal.

Steve is an honest seller...I traveled to many other locations (out of state) to find a particular used car. All three times the car was NOT as described, and I walked (flew) away. When I saw Steves auto sales was selling the model of the car I was looking for, I called him and asked him to describe the car in detail. He told me pretty much everything about it (mostly good and some bad, but minor issues). So I flew out there, and there were no surprises...It was actually better than he described. I bought it, drove it back, and I am very happy with my vehicle purchase.

Worked with Steve to buy a car for a family that needed transportation. The car was exceptional for a used car. He was able to work within the budget we gave him and provided exceptional service.
First vehicle Ive ever bought from a car lot... and it will NEVER happen again. My husband and I bought a nice truck from him and put down a hefty down payment only to have a truck that started smoking and spraying coolent everywhere. And transmission that had 3 sensors go out before our first payment. Truck ended up being in limp mode and eventually just stopped running... after 3 months... they came and got the truck..because why would I pay for something I cant drive . so not only did we lose about $6000 we have a repossession on our record as well... please stay away from this man.. he does very bad business.. not to mention the faulty mechanic talking bad about Steve the entire time I was there just to have him tell me whats wrong with the truck .. not fix the issue.. which Steve refused to do.

Steves Auto is a Rip OFF and not customer friendly...My Son bought a car from them. within a week, the Batter died, that was replaced, then the alternator. ON a Nissan Maxima.. Then he put Feb 2018 as the temp tag.. and it was just bought in October. The car was towed. and he is not willing to help compensate when it was his mistake..

Deception is his middle name, doesn’t give all of the information needed after driving 7 hours from Omaha to purchase a truck. After I got it back home here I found out that it was in need of over 2400.00 in repairs, plus found 4 areas of badly rusted area that was tried to be covered by spraying white paint over them to cover up the damage, don’t waste your time, he will give you a “GREAT” deal, but what it will cost you afterwards is well beyond what you saved on the purchase.
I saw a post on Facebook about a car so I went to look and the lot was a disaster. The next day I commented on the post stating how dissatisfied with the lot and cars because they were crowded in and not taken care of. I havent received a comment back from the owner stating that I was blocked from ever seeing his vehicles on Facebook also banned from his property and then I have to go shop elsewhere
WARNING!!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! i WOULD LIKE TO GIVE IT NEGATIVE STARS!!!! Advertised a car for $500.00 less than what he charged us (within 1 day of purchase) and said it was no longer on sale The car has SO MANY MECHANICAL ISSUES-THEY EVEN PUT A TIRE ON BACKWARDS!! Tried compromising with him and nothing. Going to seek legal representation I will write a review and warn others DAILY so they do not end up in the same situation as us. Worst part is it is my daughters first purchase on her own at 18. Now she has a car that will never last that she will still be paying on and he didnt even honor his advertised price!!!!!

Steve knowingly sold me a used vehicle with known issues and refuses to rectify the situation, even after I offered him multiple solutions- the vehicle requires over $6600 in repairs and has less than 400 miles since purchase - the issues were brought to steve’s attention immediately and he denies prior knowledge. As with any business you can’t please all, and there are risk with purchasing a used vehicle, however I was scammed on this one - do your homework and have a vehicle inspected before purchasing from steve -

Dont know what happened to my other review that I posted but I will never ever do businesses with Steve again. My first time purchasing a vehicle from him, he sold me a complete lemon. The truck that I bought had a bad transfer case and the differentials went bad within a month of buying the vehicle. When I got the truck it supposedly had past inspection which was done by him and it shouldnt have. What a waist of money never again!
Honda Ridgeline you took on trade with junk engine, then throw some plugs in it to get her through auction block, hope your retail vehicles are better then your wholesale garbage
