Kind of scummy to still be using the pandemic as an excuse to cut costs by having a tiny 24 hour dropbox instead of an employee to accept equipment returns during business hours. It would be nice to get a receipt/documentation that I returned 100s of dollars worth of equipment. Guess I just have to hope someone remembers to scan the equipment and that every barcode is readable. Putting expensive electronic equipment into a chute that drops it ~2 feet onto the ground doesnt seem too smart either.

So I ditched Wow last year after they gave me the run around changing my service to my new home in May. I returned their equipment as instructed in a drop box. I found out today while trying to refinance my home they sent me to collections for a router I returned. Will be contacting my lawyer and seeing what I need to do about damages they have caused me. I highly recommend steering clear of this company at all costs!

I didnt think anyone could be as bad or even worse than Xfinity, but we have WOW. Internet CONSTANTLY goes out without notice. The website is rarely up and running properly so you have to call and wait for hours to get help. They dont even offer a call you back service when they have an extremely long wait like most companies. It just feels like the pinch pennies and cut corners in every way possible, and the service is no different. Went with WOW because they didnt have usage caps and now they do. I actually might have to put Xfinity above WOW because at least Xfinity tries in the customer service department. Not so much at WOW.

DO NOT DEAL WITH A COMPANY WHEN THE EMPLOYEE DO NOT CARE OR NOT AFRAID FROM HIS MISTAKES.Very Bad costumer service. it is my first and last time.Their technician did not connect the wires in the right way.When i called the costumer service they try to give me appointment for next week to send a technician. (it was their technicians fault and i have to wait one more week after waiting to have the first appointment).I told them to cancel my account, they sent the conformation to different email (i reviewed my email with them to make sure they have the right one). I never received this email.They did not tell my where to return the router. the costumer service did did that on purpose.

All went well as I was just returning my old internet modem. I upgraded my service to the 1 gig service with the eero system. I am so glad I did. Just a note the service center is closed and had a drop box for equipment and one for payments. I have added pictures to show the building front up close.

TERRIBLE! Customer service is absolutely pathetic! The technicians that came to my house were dishonest, drunk, completely incompetent, lazy and just an overall embarrassment. I have been on this planet for 45 years, and in all that time I have taken the time and energy to leave a bad review two times! And of the two this is by far the worst! I wouldn’t touch this company with a 10 foot pole with rubber gloves on. And just to give a few details: the new wireless boxes do absolutely nothing. Just in case I was getting too old and did not know how to use them I had my teenager who is a technology genius take a look, and he even said “this doesn’t do 5% of what it used to!” Then a tech made an unannounced visit to my house and when I told him that I couldn’t stay he admitted to me that I should go all streaming because this company is trash. So what is my impression,WOW… we stink! World Of Whack!!!

This absolutely the WORST COMPANY I have ever dealt with. I had a service call for my TV service when I asked the tech about my internet I have been having issues with it for years he noticed I had a Modem that only produces 30 megs when in fact I had been paying for 100 megs for years!! Long story short I was promised a credit when I didnt receive it I call there is no mention of the credit in which their service tech heard that was promised nothing as of this time has been resolved no resolution has occurred I have been passed from one person to the next! The only redeeming quality of this company is the tech that came to my house and who has gone out of his way to resolve this! This in fact is the worst company I have ever had to deal with it is disgusting how they treat their customers I have been with WOW long before they were wow. Will definitely be switching to ANY OTHER COMPANY on this plant! Please be aware of this company may seem good in the beginning but buyer beware!!!

I had previously rated WOW a Zero for the way they handled my issue returning equipment. I will say that if you are having a hard time after 2 calls- ask for a manager- I got a senior tech and she was ABSOLUTELY STELLAR! And thorough and followed-up - she found the glitch in the return process. For easy stuff- regular support staff may be OK- harder stuff - go to someone more experienced- a manager or supervisor.

Unreliable for telecommunication workService was disconnected in the middle of my work day. All web pages redirected to WOW where it stated we needed to activate service. All online options directed us to call. When calling customer service we were advised to call a different department. There was no answer at that department and we were instructed to leave a message for call back. I lost another day of work waiting for that call back and ended having to contact a new ISP in order to regain service so I could continue working. When we canceled our service with WOW as a result of this, they charged an early termination fee. Im greatly disappointed as we had been loyal customers for the past five years.

I got rid of them few years ago and feel good about it. They were nice at the beginning but service got worse gradually. They use cheap equipment (router, remote, cable box etc) that are not durable at all. They replaced remotes several times nothing worked properly. I had problem with the internet, they missed and could not keep the appointment twice on time. Next day they set an appointment themselves without my knowledge and set a penalty for not being in home. Which is in fact a dishonest and customer harassment practice. I wouldnt recommend them anymore!”

I have spent HOURS on the phone with no results. Paying for 100 speed and getting barely 50, with weeks that were not above 22mbps. They keep saying it is because of using my personal $500 modem/router instead of their $50 one that they will charge me $14 a month to rent. A technician came to my house and I was charged for (they have since removed it). He found nothing wrong, yet they will not adjust the price accordingly.1. Wont fix what is wrong.2. Keep charging me for lower than guaranteed speeds.3. Keep checking and resetting the modem (that has already been checked numerous times).4. Have ZERO accountability.5. Keep telling me that the modem that I just purchased is out of date so that I will rent one from them.6. Cant figure out why the speed is so low.7. Terrible service and I am switching to Xfinity

These people really have it coming to them. I’ve asked them to fix my internet for over a year and they would not cooperate. I scheduled 6 service appointments between July 13th and August 7th. NO ONE CAME OUT TO ANY OF THE APPOINTMENTS! And, 3/6 of those appointments were outright canceled by WOW, without ANY prior notification! I’ve attempted to contact WOW to have this issue resolved, as of August 1st, they have blocked me from calling in and getting assistance. As of today, September 3rd, they have blocked my account, blocked me from receiving any assistance from a technician or through a technical appointment, also, they have blocked my service entirely, meaning I have to go without internet until I can find another provider, and I WORK FROM HOME! They did not send me anything telling me they were blocking my service, nor did they get my side of the story, before taking such restrictions. No one has ever called me to get my side of the story, nor has anyone called to assist me in any manner! Wow is playing a dangerous game, Its okay though, because I’m the perfect player! DO NOT GET WOW! DO NOT RECOMMEND WOW to ANYONE!

We switched from uverse, which is also terrible to wow back in March in our area. We have dealt with 2-4 time a week internet outages and nearly every day the internet and the cable drop for 10-15 minutes at a time. If you call and complain it does nothing but waste your time. Finally today we worked out a way to drop wow without any fees and trust me, we will never be coming back. If you want to pay for 800mbs for gaming and receive 20-50 and lag non-stop wow is the choice. Wouldn’t recommend to my closest apex enemy. Trash company and trash service. -10/10 if I could.

They will conveniently not tell you they left a long cable across your lawn, which will stay there for 3 weeks until they bury it. They will also not inform you when they arrived to install it, even if you are home will leave a sorry we missed you slip, even if you ask support to hve the tech send you a text or call to inform you.

The power was out due to a storm. While waiting days for DTE, my internet was out for only a few hours. So I was able to hook up my router to my generator. Its nice to know they are on top of it. All of my neighbors had Comcast and none of them had internet.

I recently moved 2 miles away and was told by WOW that the were not in my area... (New bud, probably not in their system yet) Comcast did however so I went with them. I cancelled WOW 2DAYS into the next billing cycle and they charge me the full months amount. I refuse and turn off auto billing. They managed to bill my account for the full amount anyways. Crooks! Then they called me multiple yes asking why I didnt stay with them after the move.....now their idiots too!

Months of calls, hours on the phone, completely incompetent support people and supervisors and no understanding of how to resolve problems. I am forced to use them because of an agreement with our condo association but will fight to get that lifted so I can have internet service that actually works.

Internet kept dropping ever 10-15 min. Had 4 technicians come out to “fix” the issue. Each time they claimed they fixed the issue however they lied.. I was not aware they charged me $100+ Per visit and still did not resolve the issue!!! Needless to say canceled service and called Xfinity and explained the issue. They apologized on behalf of WOW and sent a tech out that day to ensure that my internet would be fixed to my standards. XFINITY HAS BETTER MUCH BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PRICES! I had spent at least 20 hours on the phone with WOW and only 30 with Xfinity. I am now enjoying faster speeds a better connection and paying a MUCH LOWER PRICE. 👏🏻

Today has made it clear to me that Im done with this company, not only did they argue with me that there isnt a outage when after 15 minutes of arguing and resetting everything on my end the guy finally checked and discovered that yes.... there is a outage, this was at 10 am this morning, its now quarter to 6 . I just got off the phone with a women that told me again there is no outage even though there opening line on there phone system is there is a outage.... no one can tell me how long it will last because the operators at wow wont be troubled to check into it.

For over a year I have experienced off and on internet service. Mid March 2020 when a lot of people were sent home to work, it was bad all around service. Called in several times because internet service was dropping. Had tech visit, with no resolution. All he said was it was an area wide problem. Service got better as time went on, then bam...my internet was again acting up several times a day in May/June/July 2021. Finally, switched to other SE Michigan provider and I have no connectivity issues. I can NOT recommend this company due to the issues and frustrations I experienced. They dont care about the area or customers. Im sure they will be selling soon like they did in Ohio. To top it off, I chose to return my equipment, but the service center was closed to the public with a drop box only. Im still waiting to see if they attempt to acknowledge my equipment return...or try to charge me.

Bait and switch by salesman Jon Upshur. Extremely disappointed with salesman Jon Upshur in the Harrison Twp., Michgan area. He promised a $200 VISA gift card to sign up for the Internet 200 service. Upon subscribing to WOW, only a $50 gift card was listed on my account. When I called about it, he gave the typical salesman excuse, Must have been a misunderstanding. Only 60 days into service and had to call to get a service refund, because the technician hooked up the wrong cable line, and the billing department was not providing my discount for paperless billing. Wows business practices leave a lot to be desired. The only reason Im not giving one star is that their service has been pretty stable thus far.

If you love your internet dropping frequently throughout the day during video conferences and school sessions and love not being able to stream a movie without disruption, WOW! service is perfect. Do you love spending hours on the phone with customer service running nonsense system checks? Look no further than WOW! We keep upgrading the speed package, have had numerous service calls at our expense, and purchased signal boosters. Nothing works. We are literally counting the days until we can switch to another provider.

Rock solid reliability, super competitive pricing, no monthly data cap. Only if they could expand to more places in Michigan. Get yourself a 5ghz router in the same room as your TV and you’ll be streaming in 4k whenever you want

Make sure to call right after activating your service to correct the bill. The prices you see on the website is not gonna be the one you will end up paying. The paperless discount wont kick-in unless you call them for it; even if you activate it on the first day on the website. They somehow managed to be worse than Comcast.

WHAT A JOKEIf you should require service from wow,you can plan on a MINIMUM 45 minute phone call. 30 minutes of this you will be on hold.EVERY time you call you will be forced to sit thru an operator resetting your box even tho it has been reset by them every time you have called (4 times in 10 days,minimue 45 minutes a call) You will suffer thru MULTIPLE techs that dont seem to know,take guesses and waste your time. Terrible to deal with. I paid my bills and did everything I was supposed to. They tried to charge me an early termination fee for moving to a state that didn’t have wow. Then they send me a bill for service of dates that were supposed to be cancelled because I wasn’t in that state anymore. Signed up for contactless set up. I was left with a “installation kit” on my door step which was a ripped up bag with only a modem in it, no cables or instructions. Sat on the phone for over an hour to find the tech didn’t activate my service. They then scheduled a second tech to come out the same day, who did not show up. After calling a 3rd time they are now scheduling another tech to come out 5 days from today in which I will be going without internet. Really has been a terrible experience thus far.

Spotty and inconsistent internet service. Terrible customer service; I am on my fourth call, on hold trying to resolve an issue. A technician was supposed to be here today; I took time off work and boarded my dog, and I’ve been waiting for over three hours for someone who never showed. There is literally no way I could have missed him. When I called after the appointment window had closed, I was told the technician was here and I wasn’t home - not true; he either went to the wrong home or didn’t bother to stop at all. I confirmed the appointment twice in an automated system they have. This is inexcusably terrible service. And having to call multiple times to resolve this is making the situation so much worse. Ugh.

I have had nothing but problems since Sept 2020. the cable box has been replace 4 times now. They informed me they are not replacing the gateway boxes with new ones, just using old boxes, but they will be happy to upgrade me to the wow TV service which is streaming and that I do not want. I have spent so much time the phones with customer service rep. I feel like I know them personally.I have had to call almost every other day to have them send a signal. or I have had to reset the box my self. I should not have to do this. This is bad Customer Service, I have repeatedly ask for an account supervisor/ manager to call me back and I have yet to receive a call. Not good service!

Wow was my preferred choice for 9 years. I retired and left town for a while. Got an e-mail my account was going to be disconnected due to balance. Tried to pay off on their internet site, but could not because even though I had all my information when I got to payment screen it would deny payment because I was on a friends wow account since I was out of state. Talking to multiple customer service reps and to askwow people is a joke. Do not bother with wow if you expect any interaction. i alwys went to their service center on north avis, but due to covid they have no real service anymore.

Service normally is fine, however since 3/3/2021 during COVID-19 internet has NOT been reliable. It was down most of 3/3/2021 causing me to be unable to work from home. Paying for 500 Mbps, dont even get 20 mbps. Tech support will increase mbps while on the phone, then when they hang up service will go back to 20 Mbps. This has been consistent over the last three months.

Terrible internet service and customer service, dishonest company. Internet has had so many issues over the past few months. Technician came to our house to supposedly fix the problem, next day internet went out again. Made an additional apt with a tech guy, sat around waiting for him, and he never showed up. Called customer service, was told a discount will be applied to my next bill, and instead my next bill was $30 more than usual. Very disappointed and cannot wait to switch providers.

Terrible customer service. Just awful. They lie to you and say anything to get you off the line. Likely representatives are graded based on how quickly they get a customer off the line or how many customers per day they service. Tips I can provide is dont just let them find a way to get you off the line suggest doing the unplug-wait-plug in over and over eventually the representative will become more helpful when they realize you are not just going to give up. The trick of saying you will switch to another company works too. You will get pushed to a premium support. I was offered $3 by the regular support for my troubles. The premium support offered $15. Image below shows over an hour only to have no resolution. Wow is cheaper than competition...you get what you pay forUpdate: Internet restored for one week. Now not working again.

*FALSE ADVERTISING *Prices are way to high! For basic cable and internet the bill slowly went up from $150 to $204! Along with when I first called I was told it would only be $75.00 a month for cable and internet which was not true I called about the issue and got nowhere even when I recorded the calls of several different salesperson all saying the same thing sent it to the supervisor and I got $20.00 knocked off which didn’t matter because the bill still progressed into $204 in 3 months time with no changes made to my account! I then wanted to get rid of cable and keep internet the website says $35+ for internet and that’s false i was given a price of $65+

Reading a lot of posts about post-Covid reliability and I’m here to tell you any other service provider has been worst. I’ve got family with xfinity and spectrum and they are unreliable before Covid even worst after. Wow definitely was shaky for a few weeks which is not the norm up until Covid I never had an outage in 2 years. They have done the required maintenance and I’m back to getting the advertised 1gb speed. Oh and I should mention I started out on contract at 500mb I noticed that the competition offered 1gb for similar speeds so decided to call wow and they didn’t hesitate to beat the competition in pricing best customer service from a cable company I’ve ever had. My last provider (spectrum) raised my rates endlessly and when I called to tell them I could get a better price they told me “you’ll be back” well I absolutely won’t be back never switching from wow unless they happen to sell their company like spectrum and become money hungry con artists. So take the bad reviews with a grain of salt a lot of ISP struggled with the stay at home workers demand and from my experience wow has done the necessary maintenance to now accommodate the extra bandwidth usage. Oh I also suggest purchasing a two in one modem/router from ASUS if you go with gb service it will give you much more consistently high speeds. Wow modem wasnt terrible but you can do better and eliminate equipment rental if they haven’t already took it off your bill! (If not call them!!!). Also regarding their contracts and the fee to break them they no longer do contracts and simply escalating your service call to talk to a manager will solve this issue if you are currently in an old contract they were eager to make it right with me and honestly beat every price out there in order to keep my business. Just check your attitude nobody ever got good service by swearing at their service provider.

I am rating it 1 star because that’s as low as I can go. Since January of this year, WoW has been horrendous. We constantly have to restart our internet just to make it decent. $55/mo for internet that works for 30 mins? No thank you. Sadly, the only reason we got WoW is because it was the only other option besides ATT horrible internet as well. Every day our internet cuts out or greatly lags which is not the time when we rely on it for school and work yet WoW does nothing to address it. Shameful and should not be in business as they have no idea how to run an internet company!

Oh my gosh what a nightmare. My cable is currently partially working. I have literally spent 5 hours on the line with technical service in Mexico. They are nice but don’t know squat about fixing things. I had service technician come out who throws a new gateway box at the problem. My service partially returned and he said “oh don’t worry. It’ll take a few minutes to come all the way up” as he was running out the door. Another hour on the phone with Mexico and they concluded the gateway box was bad and scheduled me another service calll. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH 😩. Gonna go look into spectrum. What a joke.

Customer service is exactly what youd expect from a broadband provider.After being a customer for years I moved to a neghboring city that does not have Wow service.When requesting my box to return equipment they assured me it would go to my new address since i was in process of moving.Surprise surprise, it was shipped to the old house. When i requested another box, they gave me two options.Pay $25 for them to ship another or drive to the drop box an hour away.I hate the complete lack of customer care the cable industry is able to get away with.

Wow is the best. They deliver exactly what they say they will. The channel line up is great and my favorite part, the bill is aleays the same. No jumping around. It is what you sign up and agreed to every month. Ive had WOW everytime Im in an area they service and I always will. The customer service is great also. Far from the horrible Comcast customer service! I recommend to everyobe I know.

Wide open west is the worst isp in the midwest, the only reason i give them 2 stars is because the customer service has always been good even though they lie to their customers they’re polite when they do it, if i were you i’d take a different avenue when it comes to internet.

I called to disconnect service on the 10th. Returned 3 boxes and a modem on the 12th to a drop box since the office is closed due to covid. Final bill shows me being billed through the 15th when they did the disconnect. I shouldnt be charged past the 10th or at the very least the 12th because they took their time to disconnect me from the pole! Second issue... Its still showing that I have a modem listed on my account but not the cable boxes. I RETURNED THAT MODEM! Im glad I took a video of my putting each piece of equipment in the drop box being careful to show its serial number because I have a feeling this is going to end up in small claims court. This has been the worst customer service experience Ive ever seen. I was going to return to wow! once I moved but I will NEVER consider them again if this is how difficult it is to cancel service.

Avoid this company like it is COVID-19. I attempted to work with WOW! for 3 days to get my service set up and it was never completed. The technician finally showed up 2 hours late and then refused to do the work because of snow. After 5 calls to customer service they offered to have someone come out on two days later because they do not work after 5pm. If you think you hate Comcast, just wait until you deal with this company.

Once again tonight, Wednesday, 12 AM, no internet. It’s actually working, but only at a speed of less than 3mpbs. WOW claims I should have 100 mbps, and for a few weeks there I did. But, most of 2020 and again now, it’s too slow to be useful. They keep blaming my modem or router and won’t come and check the lines to the house unless I agree to pay for it. I used to like their service, now they just aren’t willing to help.

The worst interest companies. The internet received was not even close to what I was supposed to, the connection would break up every 30 min or so, you have to plug and unplug the modem to restart, absolutely a nightmare, I am glad no longer have or will ever have their service

The Door to Door Guy Lied about me going to have a cheaper Bill Then comcast. Which was a Lie My bill Was 22 dollars Higher.He Also lied about the channels I would get Wow doesnt even offer the channels.They also lie about the speed of internet you will get they tell you its 1G and you dont even get a 100 mps Then the Tech says its depends on how much speed your device can Take I have 4 computers in my I ran a speed test on all 4 none of them reach a 100 mps None of my gaming systems did as well.I have a multiple Issues with company and i have no choice but to return To Xfinity.Beware of there Door to Door Sells people especially the guy with the little Raggedy as Cherokee truck that looks like a little Nerd hes a con man.

Unbelievably the worst company I ever dealt with!! The service equipment needs to be brought out of the stone age! We lost our cable a few times..we were brought a new..old modem and it had all the old recordings from probably last 6 customers. Never was I charged to ask for a paper bill, like wow does! Their customer service people are amatures. They gave me a good price if I stayed with them for a year but afterwards my bill went from $143/month to $185!!! Seriously!?? And it was only $156 at the time before the offer! Please take mine and everyone elses, in this review thread and go somewhere else!!!

Five months in and so far so good! I had so much trouble in the past with Xfinity that after to the Woodward corridor and realized WOW! was available, I immediately made the switch. The techs were very timely and friendly. There was a ten minute lag before my modem connected with their data center, but ever since then Ive only had to call Customer Support once regarding a billing issue that was my fault (got a new debit card number and didnt update AutoPay). I consistently get above my 200 Mpbs download speeds, and thats on my own router and modem (I do not rent/use their equipment). I have never had an outage, even during the last few wind storms. Until the speeds slow down, the prices go up, or the customer service fails, Ill be avoiding AT&T and Xfinity like the plague.

Absolutely horrible customer service. I cancelled my service in July due to moving to an address they do not provide service at and am still fighting with them, even though they waived my early termination fee and all equipment was returned. Their internet speeds are up and down constantly and the channel selection and menu function are mediocre at best. Pay the little extra and go with Xfinity or Charter/Spectrum, its definitely worth it.

Ever since we started using Wow, the internet experiences constant interruptions. Every day, around 3:30, my internet stops working for an hour. Even now I’m experiencing problems and it’s 20 minutes before an all-hands work call.

Long story short, I believe no management works at WOW.... I’ve returned equipment, WOW can’t find and still wants me to pay... Called 4 times and all times my call was dropped prior to talking to management. Good luck with whom ever goes with WOW!Issues are not resolved...

I paid my full bill and they instantly added an extra $250 to my account and wont resolve the issue. Not worth the headache.
