Chris and the crew cannot only fix anything on four wheels, they also do so while providing fair and honest prices and are some of the nicest, most down-to-earth people youll speak with. Theres plenty of very well cared-for cats that walk about the shop, and the care shown of these animals lets you know the character of the people youre dealing with. Never had anything but the most positive experience and they cannot come recommended any higher from me.

So honest and very capable mechanic!We moved to the area 3 years ago from a state that didnt require inspections. I took my car which was in excellent condition to a chain shop. They saw me coming a mile away, not from here and a women said it would cost $500 to fix everything. I left b/c I didnt trust their assessment.Across the street I asked a fellow bank costumer if he had an honest mechanic, who referred me to Stumps. The stranger called them for me and asked if I could come by that day b/c of my need for an inspection. Chris Stump made it happen. I paid less than $100 for my car to be fixed to meet standards.Since then we only call Stumps with our daily driver vehicle issues. Chris has a teachers heart and is patient explaining what needs to be done and what doesnt. Not condescending like many others have been to me. We trust him so much now, we do whatever he recommends. In addition to our daily cars, we just bought a 74 pick truck for farm-type work that hadnt been inspected for years. He made it road worthy again at a very fair price.And all the guys there are not just fair, skilled, but very nice.

I highly recommend Chris and his crew at Stumps Classic. They are fair, respectful of your time and money, and just all around good people. This is where I take my truck and who I call if Im broke down on the side of the road. I have asked Chris for advice about repairs that are truly needed vs those that will just get me by when money was tight and even about which car to purchase next. I trust this guy, and he prides himself in building that trust. This year, he even called to invite our family along with some other customers to ride on his tow truck for the Amherst Christmas Parade. That was seriously one of the highlights of our Christmas season. So much fun. Also, not that this has anything to do with car work, but I think it speaks of his character -- they have shop cats that he has nursed back to health, paid to have fixed, and provides shelter and food for them. Love that!

So impressed with Chris Stump. Ive had quite a few people suggest bringing my vehicle to his shop but I was still skeptical. Turns out a guy from my church works there so I decided to give it a try. Chris gave me a great assessment of what my very aging, high mileage vehicle needs with my limited budget. His pricing was very fair and I will be going back to him for the rest of the work I need to get done.

I received a recommendation to use Stump as my auto mechanic 8 years ago. Since my first visit, I have been amazed at his customer service, the speedy service, the effectiveness, and just the overall value. His prices are very fair. Ive also brought in some of my friends and family, they are similarly impressed by Stumps operation. Even though hes way out of the way for me, hes the man.Stump does not repair diesel engines, though he can handle (obviously) the basics relating to them. Fluid changes, hoses, everything else in the drive line.
