Called Geico to get to the tire shop with my Denali. Ackerman sent out Terry and he was quite pleasant to ride with. Top quality customer service is rare, especially here in Macon, but Terry not only arrived early, but he let me sit in his truck with the air on, on a hot day. Ackerman was called out by Geico on Friday 9/3/21 to tow my car to Butler Lexus. When I called the dealership on Tuesday, 9/7/21, I was then informed my car was never delivered to the dealership. Ackerman did not pick up my car, did not call to notify me that they didn’t pick up my car and they lied when Geico called to inquire about the vehicle. Ackerman stated that the car wasn’t there, it was, it was right where we left it in the parking lot behind Overtyme and Family Dollar on Pio Nono. This type of service, or lack of is unacceptable. I could’ve called someone to tow the car if someone had notified me that it wasn’t picked up. If you are a Geico customer do not allow them to call this company. Terrible!

After C R Raider Company called to have my car towed, Ackerman was the company called to do said towing. The owner of the jewelry store was incredibly crass and rude to me, but Ackerman was beyond understanding and so nice. While I was parked in an area I shouldn’t have been and take full ownership of that, Christopher Smith was understanding and that is something I want to acknowledge. Thank you for NOT being like the OWNER of C R Raider (who is completely unprofessional and demeaning) and despite the situation, I’m thankful for Chris Smith at Ackerman.

So one night my wheel literally decide to pop off of my vehicle. I contacted my insurance company and they sent Ackerman to tow my car. As a single female I was worried because my car was parked on the side of a busy road in the middle of the night until my hero came to save the day! The gentleman that towed my car was extremely polite! He placed my wheel into my vehicle then he even pushed my bumper back onto my car. I felt very safe and I was actually very glad to have met him. I would definitely recommend this tow service. -fast, reliable, safe and friendly.Thanks again.

Called at 3:10 pm...... Even next work to go home and put key in the car for pickup to dealer before they close at 6 pm.Even after calling 3 times, they had no idea. After almost 4 hrs of waiting, I finally get a call back asking if I wanted to reschedule till tomorrow morning. .NO THANK YOU!!!!Could had just been straight with me from the start instead of getting back to me 4 hrs later with an excuse. Did I mention I left work and lost money.....

Called first thing Monday morning after our starter went out. Spoke with Kelsey who was very friendly and helpful. The driver ( sorry I didn’t get his name) not only picked up our vehicle to transport to a local shop but he stopped by our hotel to pick up the keys to save us an Uber expense! This company was not only efficient but their pricing was more than reasonable!! Plus they opened earlier than the other companies! Don’t hesitate to call them if you are in need of a tow!

This is the worst, most unprofessional, completely void of compassion wrecking service in the city of Macon. I was carjacked and assaulted and my car was stolen. Ackerman sent me a letter a week later saying I had abandoned my car and it would be $500 to get it out. The Bibb County Police department said I could get my car out for $60 because of the police hold and the police report. The office manager said we dont do that as if it was something that could be argued. They had not a single moment of compassion for what happened to me and were extremely rude to myself and my advocate. Ill be surprised if they even let me get any belongings from the vehicle.Do yourself a favor and use Mike Adams instead. I would rather die than use Ackerman for any service after this experience.

I run an ambulance service. I called this office to have a tire changed and stated that the vehicle was an ambulance(Sprinter).The driver showed up and immediately had an issue with lifting the truck. Stating that he didn’t think his jack would be able to lift it.He then went on to say that he couldn’t release the spare without the tire tool kit that he claimed he couldn’t locate. After I easily located the tools, he claimed they didn’t fit to release the spare....He tried to charge me the full cost to simply put air in the tire then dropped it to a $50 service charge FOR AIR!! Dispatch refused to send me another tech that could actually preform the service I requested.I then took the crowbar and easily lowered the tire.He then continued to complain about having to jack the truck until he refused to perform the service and left!They should probably train the employees on tire changes.If you can’t perform that basic service, I’m not sure how you can be trusted to do anything else.

My car stalled on the side of the interstate. After contacting my insurance for a tow, I received a text that Ackerman Wrecker Services would be assisting me. Mr. Waymond was very prompt and even called to ensure my location and to assure me that he was definitely on his way. He thanked me for being patient with him and took my car where I needed it dropped of. He was very polite and exceptionally professional! This towing company is very professional and would highly recommend them!

Actually, Im a new to the Bibb County area and I was providing emergency roadside assistance and one of the Ackerman Towing Guys, pulled over onto the median and stopped traffic while I safely hooked up a customers car that was disabled on the median.That single act of kindness encouraged me to push forward in my business. Not everyone will support you having s business and Ive found that its harder working in your own community. But thats only 5% of the general population.

Called for an RV with a broken rear wheel. They arrived promptly and lifted my vehicle to the service place. The driver could not have been more professional. He was great.

I had to call for my father who was running out of minutes on his pay as you go phone, and they came out and finally got his car to crank which really saved my father some money as he is a senior on SSA and they dont give him much each month for retirement. Ackerman got there within 15 minutes of my calling them and I have used Ackerman before and they always do a good job.

Tow truck driver responded quickly and when he arrived, was able to fix my tire issue so I didn’t need a tow.

Took two hours for them to get my daughters car which was 5.7 miles from their shop. My wife called me to go get her and grandbaby... I was 23 Miles away ...I got there before the wrecker and even had a truck with two young men from rooms to go that pulled in behind me with a flat tire... I helped them change their tire and still no wrecker... Called dispatch to get an ETA.... She put me on hold and hung up on me. I can assure you that I will not be using them again.

These guys are great! They rescued me and my trailer off the side of i75 and then I used them again the next day. Three tows in less than 24hrs. Reasonable, courteous, and very helpful folks.

They towed a customers vehicle to our shop.........Well almost. They actually towed it to a back street with no access to our shop. When I called and asked for them to come and tow it onto our lot their only solution to a problem that they created was to have my customer contact his insurance company and set up another tow. Now, instead of inconveniencing my customer I have to find a way to get a disabled vehicle around the block.

Worst service ever, first the secretary hangs up on me,then they refuse to tow for me because its out of area. When theyve already towed my car once before here, ive gotten better services from a white on cherry at than this, do not use

I cant say enough good about this company! AAA sent them to tow me because my car had broken down. He came quickly and towed me to a garage that he recommended and it was also AAA recommended. The operator was very friendly and courteous and helpful to me. I recommend him.

Terrible experience I heard about them but this was my first time ever seeing it for myself. The front desk the two women that was there seem very racist, don’t know how to talk to the customer and they treat you like your below them. They give out false information over the phone and then when you come in to get your car they have a whole different story to make it seem like you dumb and losing your mind. I would never recommend them to anybody who ever owns this place need to get better employees

Cant say enough good things about my experience with this company. Needed one of our commercial trucks towed from Macon back to Atlanta. Jeff came out and did a great job, very professional and very efficient. The price they charged me was reasonable and fair. I highly recommend this Business to anyone in the Macon area that needs a professional towing service.

The parts department is great the man there is really really helpful but I hope you dont go to the recovery the tow department which it next window over Because there is a big big girl and 2 guys there that are the laziest people in this planet they will not do anything that they dont have to, And I mean big big

Another roadside service rounded off our lug-nuts and abandoned us at 1:00 am. Ackerman towed our car to a safe location then found a hotel for us. then came back the next day to finish the job. I give them my highest rating. Good people.

These are by far the most honest and hard working men that I’ve encountered with a towing company . Of course I have insurance so I didnt have to pay a dime . They charged me a very small fee ( trust me my Starbucks coffe cost more than the storage fee ) To keep my car at their location until pep boys opened in the morning . The men are super friendly and nice and so are the women . Thank you for coming to get me from the side of the road and taking me to pep boys in the morning . Y’all are amazing and I would definitely recommend .

They are rude, however they do not discriminate with it. They are rude to customers, other businesses, pretty much anybody who has a question or needs assistance. 👎

Had a roadside service account and the only place the company used was Ackerman. Was stranded at Walmart on Gray Hwy once and the other time I was stranded at the Coliseum Hospital. Took them 2 and a half hours just to come get me both times. It was summertime and 90 degrees outside. I dont know if they need more drivers or what but I had only been towed once before in my whole life and they were there within 30 minutes. They could have been picking up others ahead of me that had called after me, or everyone called out sick that day, or they just need to hire more drivers. I really dont know but I will never use their services again. If I get roadside again I will ask what towing company they use and if it is Ackerman I dont want the service. I will just call someone else.

Had a wrench out it only took 5 minutes worth of work and they charged me $250. That’s too high. Never calling them again. I’ve had my truck towed 14 miles in Atlanta before for $250. Why would a wrench out cost that much? Complete rip off

Garbage. They were contacted for me through AAA and I was given an hour and a half wait time. Did not receive any contact from the company. Called back AAA, they contacted them and then my ETA was pushed up another half hour. Got a call about 12 minutes later to say theyd be there in 10. They were, back of the flatbed was slicked in oil which made me very uncomfortable to be putting my bike back there at all. This is just one instance but one I never want to go through again.

I requested a tow and the driver came was very friendly. He jumped my battery and told me I just needed a recharge and it should recharge on its own by driving it around for 20 minutes. As soon as i put it in drive, it cut back off. I immediately called the office since he just left. She refused to send him back out until after he finished his next call even though he just left. She was very rude and unreasonable. Now I have to wait another 2 hours before someone can come back out even though my driver was literally probably still in the neighborhood. Terrible customer service

Very unprofessional. They leave customers keys in their cars with public access to lot. Paperwork process horrible, and they are very overpriced. $175 plus 4% if use credit or debit card for towing.

I was in an accident earlier today Bibb co called these guys I didnt consent to them doing anything to my vehicle they separated the 2 vehicles I told the driver I wanted to drive my truck home he attempted to bill me on site when I didnt call them in the first place and ultimately they towed my vehicle away without my permission these are straight scum of the earth people I dont recommend them to anyone.....
