Used the curbside pickup and it worked great.
This will be long. Showed up for my appointment at 1pm today and had asked for someone to get him at the curb because I have a torn rotator cuff. The groomer Jenn came out, but I had forgotten his vaccination records. I said I would bring them when I picked him up. She said, I could get fired and never offered to ask a manager. We left and will never go back.
The employees are always willing to help you with whatever it is you need.
Horrible service denied service to our dog because they say he got nose bleed which they never told us about when we picked him up. They never really did a good job with bath and drying . Will look for a more professional service
Never use the grooming service here. I have a 30-lb short-haired dog and they kept her for two hours. Apparently they air dry dogs instead of using a hair dryer? They trimmed all but one of her paws. She can be a little mouthy when it comes to her nails, but I warned them of this and stated shes gentle with her mouth. Absolutely not aggressive. Every other vet/groomer never had a problem getting her nails done. They also neglected to clean the anals, as was included in the package. Will not be returning; waste of money.
Just avoid this location if you can. If I hadn’t really needed a dog bowl I would have walked out after 5 minutes of waiting for someone to begrudgingly ring my stuff up. Go to any other pet store really.

Will not be back to this groomer. I brought my schnauzer to Petsmart for years. So I made an appt for my young golden a week ago to have a basic groom, feet,ears and trim up. They said 4 hours, I didn’t like that because she is never kenneled. After 4 hours I called and they said due to a scheduling problem( not mine ) it would be another 2 hours! She had only had a bath.I said nope it won’t I am coming now to pick her up. Spoke to the manager, he went and got her and didn’t try to charge me for the bath. Nothing in the way of apology for traumatizing a sweet puppy on her first grooming experience.I won’t shop there for anything now or recommend to others. Hire some professional groomers please.
Worst customer services ever . We waited for hour for someone to help us, then finally the manager came over with a very nasty and Condescending attitude . Worst place ever will never return to this establishment again. Your job is to educate customers with care on animals not to protest on cages for which your establishment sales specifically for that pet . As a manager your job is to be a leader in providing customer service. Please work on that.
Lots of great dog toys and treats
I would of gave them a zero star but I had to pick 1 just to write a review. I will never go back to petsmart for grooming or anything again. Made an appointment to get my dog bath and nails done. They call me 4hrs before appointment said they had to cancel because two employees had to leave for doctor never even asked if I wanted to reschedule. I told them I really needed to get her nails cut they said they could still do that. My appointment was at 430 I got there at 425. No one was there. Was told the person had to go to hospital. No sorry for not calling or anything. I call total bull.

Very dated interior. Not dirty but, not a clean look, in my opinion. Had been several times for grooming and then out of the blue got a call saying they can’t accept my purebred Great Pyrenees because of his notes, I would need to contact the manager, Summer - yet no one ever said a word to me when I picked my dog up each time? No thanks, I’ll take my $100 somewhere else. Thanks tho! Wouldn’t recommend.
Very welcoming staff at this store! They’re always very busy but make sure that they are accommodating to whatever the customer’s needs are!
Was there for a half hour, nobody asked me if I needed help. I had to hunt someone down to get what I needed and the lady who checked me out was extremely rude and clearly did not want to be there.

The best store for ur furry pets
There is a lady there that is very passive aggressive but in the best way possible. Im a fish hobbyist and I went in there to get a 5 gallon tank for my betta, and also a few other fish for some of my other tanks. She asked these fish arent going in that tank right? Because 5 gallons is typically too small to have most fish in. She questioned what tanks each of the fish were going in. Very knowledgeable and they truly care about fish because sadly a lot of people that get into the hobby are typically uneducated. She answered some questions I had about ghost shrimp (Ive never had ghost shrimp and was wondering if they needed any other food besides the left over scraps from the other fish). The girl at checkout was very sweet and apologized when she didnt know how to do something. Very friendly staff and amazing people to help take care of your pet needs. They may steer you away from certain items because sadly chain pet stores sell a lot of things that arent actually humane for the animals. Listen to the advice they give you. Great selection of fish (you gotta get there when they stock, they sell out of the good ones quickly). Best petsmart and pet store experience Ive had in a while.
Its a Petsmart so the Animal care isnt 100% like the hamsters have to small of wheels, not enough bedding, ect. But the last that helped us when we were there was super nice, I dont remember her name but she was very helpful and super cool to talk to, she seemed to really care about animals. Shes the only reason I have it four stars, also their prices are fine I was looking for a hide for my blue tongue skink and they didnt have really any hides big enough for him. But otherwise, its just a Petsmart, the same as all the other Petsmarts.

I made an appointment online for my dog to be groomed at the Pet Smart in Machesney Park a week ahead of time. I received a text and a phone call confirming his appointment and then and two separate text reminders for his appointment over the following week. Then, on the day before his appointment, I received a text stating that it was canceled. When I called them to find out why the only explanation that they could give me was it just didnt work out for them and that they had filled his spot. I then remembered that the last time I took my dogs in to that Pet Smart after booking online, when we arrived they told me that our appointment had been canceled, but when I told them that no one had contacted me, they sqeezed them in. I spoke to another groomer and she informed me that they probably did this because my dog is a large breed, long haired dog that takes them longer to bathe and groom and they realized that they could fit a few small dogs in his slot and make more money. This is just wrong and I am posting this to warn others about this rude and unethical practice.
Never been before, my dog hates her nails clipped. We use to have a vet that always premeditated her and I did not like that. She did great at Petsmart, tech was very nice. Will go back.
Although no one in the store ever spoke to me or even asked if I need help. The cashier greeted me when I walked in she was friendly and professional. Matched online prices, answered questions and called for assistance to help load my vehicle.It is her actions that made me feel like a valued customer. And it is she that earned five stars for the store. If only all employees were this enthused and dedicated to making a customer feel valued.

Ive been to the store twice in the last week. Both times your employees have treated me and other customers poorly. Your employees act more as know it alls and have very condescending attitudes. I also couldnt help but to notice when buying fish how small of aquariums you keep multiple fish in. Most of the tanks are full of algae and dirty.
Great place for all of your pet needs under one roof from pet foods to grooming to vaccinations for e reasonable price.

The manager of the 173 store was so awesome. Before we realized she was the manager, another customer and I had mentioned we could not place online orders. Just thought it was high traffic on the website. We were the only two standing outside at the time before the doors opened Black Friday. She got both of our orders picked and up by the register as soon as the doors opened. All we had to do was walk in and pay for our large litter orders. It was incredibly thoughtful and overall amazing customer service. Thank you for being so awesome, my fur babies and I greatly appreciated it!
I took my cat here looking for some other cats for him to talk to his IQ is so high he has a problem talking to a normal cat I figured the sign says its PetSmart so there should be smart pets there no I was wrong again there were no Smart Cats to talk to my intelligent cat so we left.. Im so sorry I had to leave this review but hopefully if someone tries to bring in a smart pet to talk to a Smart pet they will be steered wrong by the sign

We love to shop this location because the staff is OUTSTANDING! The managers, cashiers and salon girls are helpful & welcoming every time. The last few visits they were very busy & I had to wait while they helped other shoppers that were there before me.(which is no problem) They still acknowledged me while waiting and then helped me beyond what I thought I originally needed! Thank you Machesney Park staff!

Pet groomer was nice and our dogs nails were trimmed nicely. They have one of the friendliest cashiers. I wish I remembered her name.

The store is clean; fish tanks clean and fish on display to sell looked healthy. Animal cages clean. Rescue cats had some room to move around some and looked healthy (nice to have a brief summary about each cat looking for a home). Well-stacked store; clean appearance. Location is pretty easy to find. We have many different critters that we shop for there, but havent had a chance to assess knowledge level of staff (we research about our critters and care. We usually know what we need and just get it, as long as its available there). I have dog obedience instructor/trainer certification and would do my classes a bit differently if I was out in store, but nice to see so many dogs enjoying a fun, energetic, playful class (I bet they all slept well after class). Customers may have to wait for help, at times (because they ARE busy multitasking people!), So PLZ have patience (they are really nice and friendly, even if theyre busy/having a busy day). Thanks to all of the staff for their efforts. It does get noticed!
Store items are Always over priced and we Never had a good experience here with grooming. She’s had many baths before and Nails clipped regularly from different groomers. they claim signs of aggression and wouldn’t bathe her.Just a note: She’s passed classes and ready for therapy testing..... she’s never shown signs of aggression and no groomer has ever noticed any. Will never have anything good to say about the groomers here.
Pet smart has a little extra for just about every average home pet. We like looking at the fish, kittys, and reptiles. This one is clean and organized. Also they just told us they get new fish shipments on Wednesday.
They have about everything your furry baby will ever need. My first stop for pet supplies.
Overpriced. Twice the amount of hamster bedding for half the price on Amazon. Im all about supporting smaller and local businesses but yikes.
DAN! I dont know your last name Dan! But I will be sure to mention that Dan! Was an outstanding employee who deserves a promotion! I worked with Dan for 5 HOURS in store trying various multistage filters. He seemed very knowledgeable and of the 5 hours I was with him I believe 3 of those hourly were voluntarily offered as he was not on the clock at that time! He got me up and running the next day! Thanks Dan! I couldnt have pulled it off without you!
My local grocery store has lower prices on treats for my dogs and cat and lower prices on the dog food and cat food. My local grocery store doesnt carry nearly as many pet health care products though. You would think since they cater to pets, theyd make their prices irresistible so people wouldnt even want to go anywhere else to get supplies for their pets. They apparently would rather sale one bag of dog food to the person who doesnt want to take the time to shop around instead of selling many bags for a slightly less margin per bag.

RUDEST STAFF EVER! I have been getting my dog groomed there for awhile. I showed up at 8am for my appointment and was told my appointment was not until 9am. My dog is 14 years old, he is deaf and is terrified when he gets groomed so i take every step i can to make it easy on him. however THEY made a mistake when booking my appointment and when I simply questioned what happened the girl ( didnt get her name) was so rude with her hand on her hip told me look I didnt book your appointment. She said you can leave him here if you want he will be caged until your appointment time... are you kidding me? No, Im sorry for the mix up or would you like to reschedule no customer service at all. I decided not to let someone that has an attitude like that groom my special needs dog,, he needs and deserves gentleness. When I was leaving she said you have a real nice day in a syrupy sweet sarcastic way. I would never leave my dog at a place that talks and treats customers that way. Where has customer service gone in the the world of today???

Very knowledgeable and professional. Had a situation with our fish tank and the staff was more than accommodating in helping remedy the situation even though the fish we had were not purchased at their location. They seem very attentive and genuinely interested in the well-being and safety of pets.
My daughter in law decided I should come with her and the kids to get a few things. I forgot what an adventure a trip like this could be with little kids . I had a great time, the employees are very friendly and knowledgeable. The kids definitely love it.

Pet smart was clean and everyone was friendly. They had a pet adoption event. Pet smart supports girl scouts by letting them have a cookie booth. There is a large variety of various foods for various pets.

We take our dog to Jen for grooming services and have been very pleased! Jen does a great job and always makes sure we like the way the dogs hair is done. Our dog is a bit loud when we take her (she enjoys barking) and Jen is always very patient and friendly to her!
Nice store, o picked up a glow betta that literally just came in ( so no one had time to mess it up lol) didnt see any dead fish which is uncommon around her for the big chain stores. Il be checking back there for sure

I take my cat here for baths every two weeks they do a fine job bathing him clipping his nails brushing his teeth and keeping him plenty of parking in lot summer cashing my cat like its her own so I really appreciate that and I like the fact that they are directly connected to chewy which is where I get all of my cats food and litter from
