Ty really knows what he’s doing! A very clean and nice place to get your haircut. Definitely would recommend to a friend! Went in for a bald fade and came out with everything I was looking for. Good people and a good time!

I wish i read the reviews before booking an appointment here this past Saturday for a cut and beard shape up before a wedding. I was 5m early for my appointment but i was kept waiting 20m by barber. He was overbooked, over worked and under skilled. Told me he didnt have time to do my beard trim, could only do haircut because of time crunch, i told him that was unacceptable. Long story short i got a lack luster cut at a block buster price. Place is a joke

Do not go here! Avoid Melanie at all costs. I’ve been going here on and off for over 5 years, mostly for beard trims. The quality of actual service you’ll get it is average to below average because the roster of Barbers is always changing. If you go in once, the same person will likely not work there in 3 months, except Melanie. I went in today for a beard trim and she comes up to the check in desk at full volume and says, “So yeah, I actually put you with someone else because I didn’t know if you were going to actually show up”. Mind you, I have cancelled once in the last 3 years. I reminded her of this and she proceeded to tell me that I always cancelled and even a past barber stopped seeing me because of it (which was not true at all). She said, “I couldn’t risk you not showing up, i have clients I need to get in”. Reminder: this is in front of about 15 people in the shop who are all staring at us. Apparently I’m not a client? Could they have called me if they were so concerned? Of course they could have. On several occasions I have shown up and the barber I made an appointment with was gone, and I had been rescheduled or unable to receive service. Anyway, you can get you hair/beard trimmed anywhere- do not go here for average—> below average work and terrible customer service. All the barbers, including Melanie would always talk negatively about customers after they walked out the door.

Didn’t listen to what I asked for. Shaved the entire back of my head when I asked to lightly trim it. Not happy with the outcome.

No one bothered to call me to let me know the barber I was booked with couldn’t see me at the scheduled time. Waited outside for an hour with a few other guys who came and went because no one showed up to open the shop. Book with caution.

Very disappointed!Made a 1:00 appointment thru Google, showed up at 12:45 for my hair cut and was told that the system overbooked the 1:00 time slot. I was offered a free hair cut in the future but had to walk out of the shop without my hair cut. Very disappointed.

I tried to call them up to make sure if any COVID restrictions but no one picked up. Booked an appointment online for beard trim. I went there and I was told bears trim is not allowed. They can only trim what is not covered under mask. What kind of joke is that? Why would you let customers choose a beard trim options online but when you show up and be denied? Was surprised by such mismanagement.

Nice place! Nice people! I guess its just me, I can never get an on point hair cut! Always feels like a rush job. Always end up with missed spots when i get home! Like is it me? What am I doing wrong??? Just want a decent haircut. Paying over $40 for a cut you would think it would be done right! I feel like Im being rude when you see something they missed and ask for it to be fixed!?!

Tried this place out yesterday since I was looking for a new barber shop. Made an appointment and barely had to wait which was great. John absolutely nailed my haircut. Great dude, gives good advice on what he thinks would work best for you, and beard lineup is perfect. Definitely my new spot and highly recommended.

I’ve gone to roosters plenty of times and it’s usually overpriced, but still a very nice haircut. I went today and instead of a fade on the sides the barber just did different lengths and did not blend them at all. The top was also cut very uneven and she didn’t line me up. A disappointing experience to say the least. Thankfully I know how to cut hair well enough to fix it but I would’ve hoped she could’ve cut my hair well enough from the beginning :/P.S. my barber was Hannah. I usually go to John or Melanie and they are delightful.

I got perfect haircut first time, so I was excited that I finally found good barber spot. Next time I scheduled a cut with the same master, described the same haircut I want.. and it was a total disaster.

Had a 10am Gentlemen’s Choice haircut and shave today with Chris and it was the ideal start to a perfect day. First time at this location and it certainly won’t be the last. Clean, professional and attentive. Chris was sharp and knowledgeable, very pleased with my cut!

Most definitely THE worst “barber shop”A girl barber... was afraid to hold a razor, I can’t even say that lines were uneven because there was no lines! They are closer to a dog grooming place than a BARBER shop.Go to a proper barber shop, this is not it. Not for men at least.

Great place, the barber was very professional and provided a great cut. I will go back for sure. Very easily accessed by bus, plenty of street park available. I also did not have to wait too long because they had so many barbers on staff.

My 1st time ever going to Roosters and it was a great experience. Chris did a fantastic job with my beard trim and treatment and was extremely friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He went above and beyond your normal barber shop experience. This is a 1st class establishment all the way and I will definitely be returning in the very near future

They did an absolutely terrible job on my hair and beard. The gentleman Chris who cut my hair does not speak up and does not talk loudly enough for him to understand. And then when he proceeds to trim my beard. He cuts it way too short. Much shorter than what I wanted. And worst of all, he takes a chunk of hair out of my beard, and now I have a bald spot the size of a penny on my chin. Don’t go to this place

I will never go here again. Asked for a simple fade up the sides and to trim and just clean up the top as I liked the style of it now. I got ZERO fade, it is just a straight buzz cut on the sides. The one side goes up too far, abruptly stopping and not blending into my top at all. I could have given myself this haircut in a dark room with kindergarten scissors. Ontop of that, it is my wedding in four days, so now I have a completely amateur haircut for the biggest day of my life this far. Thanks for not caring Roosters.

Ive been to this location multiple times since it opened. Ramon is by far the best. He is polite, quick, and does a good job. Those of you upset that you have to wait without an appointment...I have a solution for you. Make an appointment.

Do not let this high-end barber shop fool you. With a ridiculous price tag set in the heart of Lynnfields Market Street, prepare for a horrible haircut and experience. In an attempt to look classy with hardwood floors and high-end chairs, you get average joes wearing a dress shirt and slacks who dont know what the hell they are doing. The 5-star Local Guides are guaranteed paid for.

This was my first time getting a hot towel shave face and head. Melanie was my barber she did a fantastic job and Ill definitely be going back.

Horrible ! I go in for a simple cut first question I ask is...do you do walk ins or by appointment..she then says yea we take walk ins but we are running behind. 25 minutes. so I go get coffee. Came back 5 minutes later to sit patiently. One lady barber is freaking out because the desk girl didnt tell me they cant fit me in till 1130...45 minutes later. And the one to cut my hair is the one whos losing it because there behind...never again never recommend

I rarely write reviews...especially negative ones, but I felt compelled to do so in this case.Being bald (shaved head) I take great pride in my beard and will only allow 2 barbers to trim it. Both work at Roosters on Tremont St in Boston. (Marc and Ken).Set the scene... its New Years Eve day and I realize I really need a beard trim before going out on the town. Roosters-Boston has no openings.Roosters-Lynnfield has an opening and I book online with barber John.A 45 minute beard trim costs $30 in Lynnfield (In Boston its $20 and in Wellesley its $17....weird).I ask for the sides to be faded (really short by the ears then gradually longer along the rest of the sides a FADE) and I asked that the chin area cleaned up as I am sporting a Spartan beard.Before I know it, more than half the length on one side is GONE...no fade at all...he pauses to ask how that looked and I almost busted a blood vessel. I said I wanted it faded not chopped off! I was pissed. I said You cant glue it back on so I guess thats what it is. The lines on the sides and underneath the chin werent done correctly. Just a total hack job.Ive never had a more rushed trim and shave in my life. The 45 minute beard trim was done in 20 minutes.......Barber? No.......BUTCHER.Never again will I visit this location. Half off the price didnt grow the hair back. So much for looking good on New Years Eve.

Absolute worst haircut Ive ever had in my life, rushed through the cut, everyone asked me what happened to my hair,. Was turned away from the mirror the whole time, when I looked at what he had done to my hair after I was appalled. I will tell everyone I know to never go here unless they want complete destruction of their hair. Ive never had such a horrible experience it has ruined my next few weeks and only wish I could at least get a refund.

After reading the bad reviews Im glad the doors were locked 35 minutes before posted hours. Tried going to this place twice now and the doors are always locked more than a half an hour before close. I guess posted hours dont mean a thing anymore. I wont be trying this place ever.
