Celebrations of Life was a God send. I do believe that Mrs. Sharon was called for this type of service. She went above and beyond for my brother William Floyd Jr. From those small details that we would overlook, she gave attention to it. Very professional and compassionate. From the time we walked through the doors of Celebrations of Life to the end at the grave site you could feel the spirit of Excellence and the spirit of love. Great job.

Ms. Patterson did an AMAZING job handling the funeral plans for my Grandmother Cleo Burns! She did above and beyond and put a creative touch towards the funeral that I’m not sure many can. She was also VERY professional and sensitive towards the family’s requests. To top it off she made sure my grandmother looked absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Celebrations of Life did a phenomenal job on my mothers going away services. Staff was ALWAYS on call for any help or questions on services. This lavish establishment went beyond measures when presenting the life of my loved one with key details of her life. I knew my decision was right when I was informed she had already did her research on the life of my mother before our initial meeting. My heart was at peace when walking into the foyer of the establishment and feeling nothing but love. The room was bright and full of uplifting pictures of my mom and her friends and family. My grandmother was laid to rest over this past weekend. I was with my family to help make arrangements that best suited what we thought she would want. Celebrations of Life by Leggett-Patterson Funeral Home greatly exceeded the expectations of the family, and we feel that we truly gave our loved one the homegoing ceremony she deserved, while still complying with the safety requirements in place due to COVID-19.Mrs. Leggett-Patterson was extremely sweet and attentive to our wants, comments and inquiries. She emphasized how she liked to add a creative touch to the loved ones of the families she served, and also how important it was for her to be able to serve her community.Walking into her Lumberton location, it did not feel like a traditional “funeral home.” Everything did not feel stuffy and dark and gloomy. There was a soft, feminine touch to everything I saw, and that indeed made it feel like we were actually planning a celebration of my grandmother’s life, rather than just mourning her loss. We do not feel like the same personal touches (slideshow of family portraits on a television screen, personalized coffin, tiara placed on my grandmother’s hands, and pictures set up in the lobby) would have been considered had we entrusted another funeral home to handle these affairs.I cried when I saw how beautiful my grandmother was. I cried watching her coffin get put into the horse-pulled carriage by her grandsons. It made me feel so much better to know that her formal transition into eternal rest was treated with the care, elegance, and regality feel that she truly deserved. We are thoroughly thankful that Leggett-Patterson was able to provide this.
