Any time theres an issue they come right out to fix it usually the same day :) the lady in the office is always willing to help and super nice. I have had no issues with this Wi-Fi company. Cant beat the price!

We live in a rural area and its great. I have a lot of devices (phones, laptops, smart home, etc.) and the speeds remain great. We can stream TV, YouTube, Netflix all well. It’s all we have in my area and I’m happy East Texas DSL is here!

Ive been using this company for over a year with no problems. I have no cell service at all where I live so everything runs off of wifi. Ive been very pleased with them and every month when I call to pay my bill they are always super nice.

I have had the service for a year now.every day there is a problem but dont think about calling because you wont get ahold of anyone and if you do they wont do anything other then tell you they will send someone out to look at it (they never show up so dont get your hopes up) but dont worry the service will be back on in a few days or so

Ill start by stating we have had the service for 3 years now, and until around October/November of 2020 always found a fast response when the outages occurs. However, since that timeframe they have upgraded, and we cant stream 2 t.v.s, or use a laptop, WiFi on my phone, and a t.v. at the same time. We used to could have 2, or 3 devices on the service at once. No longer. Ive called for months to complain. The resolution has always been we will have the service man look into it. Nothing has been done. This past month I raised heck about paying for a service that has slowed down either further, and was given a $20.00 credit on my bill.Here it is on Super Bowl Sunday, and we have no service. It was out at 5:45 a.m.I waited until now, about 9:30 a.m. to call, hoping they were aware of the issue, and no answer of course. You cant leave a message, or given another number for outages. This is an absolute shame. It is unfortunate that they are were the only option, but I was told we can now get service through Livingston Phone Company in Leggett. I will be calling them tomorrow, and streaming on my cell hotspot today.The office staff is friendly, and so is the tech when he comes out. Overall, the upgrade screwed yall. I wish it was never done, and service was more reliable.

We have had east tx dsl for several years and it has always been terrible internet. It is sooo slow. You can only stream one show at a time if that. The office and owner never call you to follow up even when they say they will call back which is the most frustrating part. Customer service is important and theirs is terrible. The internet randomly cuts in and out. Right now it is streaming at 100 to 400 kbps in the middle of the day for no reas ok n. My daughter has the same internet down the road and hers is running slow too. I have called and no one calls back. AGAIN. Unfortunately we dont have any other options or we would have left a long t ik me ago. Thats probably why they have terrible customer service but they know there is nothing we can do.

Im speaking from personally having been working with an internet company. They have a friendly staff, when they answer. They are not a 24 hr svc (where I worked was), they have few, if any, on call techs (where I worked did). It could be better, but it far beats dial-up.

I have lived in Livingston for a year and heard about all the problems with internet service. I gave East Texas DSL a try and found it to have excellent service. The people have been very courteous and helpful. I recommend that you give them a try.

After a year and a half of experiencing this companys internet service, there hasnt been two or more consecutive days that the internet has consistently worked strong, and solid all day and night. In fact every night for the past several weeks, around midnight it loses signal all together. Calling and reporting the issues does not help, because there is always some excuse they have for the lagging or non-existent signal. Unfortunately they have a monopoly on my area, and there are no other providers available. But that fact should not excuse their blatant lack of concern for the quality of their service and products.

1. Went without internet service for over 30 days.2. They promised 7 times they would have someone out to fix the Internet and 7 times they did not show.3. They openly lie to there customers and if they do not know the actual technical reason they will just make something up.4. The owner refuses any help.5. This is the most unprofessional staff I have ever Seen.6. They cant even keep their website online.7. The building there and has the wrong name on it, there are parts and work order and parts all over the place.8. Good luck trying to get them on the phone.9. Its apparently only person who cares about that business is the owner the rest of the staff does not care and are highly unmotivated. The sad reality is there actually compensated pretty well.-------------------------They didnt show up the eighth time over the span of a month ordeal but it turns out it was their equipment and all they had to do was replace the receiver.

I’ve lived in the country about my whole life and have dealt with a range of internet situations, but I have to say East Texas DSL takes the cake for being the worst. I don’t get good phone service where I live so I rely on my internet for everything and I can’t even rely on that! It’s a constant fight in my house of “get your phone off the WiFi” “it IS off the WiFi!”. It’s 2019, so I find it crazy that I’m having trouble emailing 500 kB files, let alone even checking my email.

When the internet actually works it’s great, but getting it to work is the issue. Service is always out. It seems if not every day, it’s every other day the internet goes out in the evenings and most time doesn’t come back on until the next morning- very frustrating. Although, the pricing is affordable at $55 a month, it’d be better if what I paid for actually worked.

Horrible. Their internet service/speed is so SLOW! They have way over sold their service and there is simply not enough bandwidth to provide their customers with the speed they sell and charge for. Most nights (when is the time you are home) its almost impossible just to surf the web on Amazon or other sites. Sometimes I miss my dial up connection, not joking.

I am a computer networking professional and they are the only local provider in the area; absolutely horrible service. Download speeds are very inconsistent and are rarely above 1.5 mbit. Uploading is even worse. The technicians that come out to service are great, the owner (Joe Kelley), on the other hand, has done nothing to fix the service in the past 3 1/2 years. Ive just disconnected my service and am using my cell phone data plan instead. My cell phone bill went up $35/month, but now Im not paying ETDSL $55/month any more.

If I could give no stars I would. ALWAYS goes out. It doesn’t matter if it is a major storm or a bright and sunny day it seems like twice a month you can guarantee the internet will be out. It is absolutely ridiculous. Many people rely on the internet nowadays and it is unacceptable to be so unreliable as a service provider. It is saddening, really. We have been customers for over 3 years and the service has never improved only gotten worse and worse. Internet is out AGAIN as I am writing this, posting using my cell phone’s data, and it’s past 5:00 so I guess I have no hope of completing my work until tomorrow, if that is even possibility—which is doubtful if my past experience with these people is any indication. If this continues we won’t be customers any longer and I’m pretty sure there are a lot of folks who feel the same way.

I’ve been a customer for many years now. Nothing has ever improved and joe jelly doesn’t want to improve it seems like. My internet is down just as much as it is on. I’ve asked questions to why the internet was down. Gonna have to find a hotspot somewhere. Well I have a hotspot on my phone that’s unlimited, if I wanted to use that all the time, I’d cut that off and use that. It’s nice to have a home base that I don’t have to keep turning on to use internet. Nice when it’s running, just wish it stayed on more often! That’s all I ask! I use the internet a lot.

Internet has been down for 2 days. I keep calling for repair and no one has responded. Poor customer service! The only good thing is they offer unlimited data, but it does no good when you have a complete loss in service and no one willing to come fix it!

Have had their service for 3.5 years. Connection works for my 4 kids tablets, games, and streams netflix. Things get slow with lots going at the same time; patience and taking turns is sometimes required. We live in the country and this is the best option for us. They do have intermittent short periods of time when they are down for maintenance. Once in the 3.5 years Ive had them, it was down for a couple of days because some major part was broke. You can only reach someone in their office during normal m-f 8-5 business hours as they are NOT a huge operation with 24 hour customer service. Alternative internet here would cost twice as much so Im going to stick with it. Hope this helps!

Been a customer for years, and originally the company performed very well. However, in recent history it seems as though they have expanded their client base to the point where the service is unreliable.To the point (currently) in terms of what you can and cant do with the service (at my location)1) Forget playing online games in real time (the system will lag making games unplayable)2) Watching Netflix is sometimes impossible or taxing, to say the least3) Checking your email is usually no problem.

They had to keep sending an installer out to redo their screw up Im paying for 3mbps speed but Im lucky to even get 1.5mpbs installer is unreliable the owner is offering to waiver my first months bill as soon as I can Im gonna have them remove their equipment and have a nice long talk with the BBB.

As a business owner, I rely on internet to connect with clients. There is NEVER a constant with this company. Several times a month, I have to call in and tell them that my internet has gone out. And there is never any compensation for lost time. I pay the same bill, month after month, service or not. They are very friendly, but unreliable. They are the only choice of providers where I live, so I am forced to use them. I find that to be the truth with anyone that has an account with them. If other choices were available, they would be out of business.

For the most part East Texas DSL provides good consistent reliable internet connection services. But on a day like today, Friday Dec 25th, Christmas Day there is a complete drop out of internet connectivity. Plus on days like this one, unfortunately there is no one in their office to field calls from customers to report a problem!

Been using East Texas dsl for 2 or 3 years now, it has peak times. Most of the time its very slow, but at times I can get up to 6 megs. Usually during the day time hours and evening hours its very slow. Only early in the morning is when it works good and you can get up to 6 megs. You can tell the company has a hard time delivering the high speed to all the customers when more people start waking up and using the internet. Apparently they dont have enough bandwidth for everyone to share at peak hours of the day. The reason for the 5 star rating is because I live 13 miles from town and there are only very expensive providers out here like wild blue that have caps on how much downloading you can do. East Texas DSL delivers a decent speed to you for a very reasonable price and you get unlimited data usage. Thats right... NO CAPS. The internet usually always works for checking email and just looking at facebook. But if youre like me and like to watch news and movies it doesnt work for that all the time. Also the technicians are reliable and always come out when I need them to work on it. When they come out my internet always works better when they leave. They do a good job of keeping my service running. Now days old people love chatting on facebook all day and playing games on facebook, I live in a retirement town so thats why during the day its so bad here.
