I brought my daughter in yesterday for her first real haircut and it was mostly a great experience. She loved getting her nails painted prior to having her hair done. Angelica was amazing. She was very patient and very willing to listen my requests. She took her time on my daughters hair and made sure we were satisfied before we left. My daughter was a bit disappointed she didnt get a balloon or lollipop at the end, but it was still overall great experience.

The only place we’ll use for our son’s haircut! They’re friendly, patient with my 2 year old, and give great haircuts!

My 19 month old son got his first haircut today. It was a great experience! The stylist, Paris, was great at keeping him distracted and happy (and entertained) while giving him just the cut I asked for. And the babys first haircut package is super cute. He loved his balloon! I really appreciated the staff wearing masks while we were there, too.

I have taken my son here since his first haircut EVER! He loves it so much and they’re so great with kids most importantly patient with them! I took my son somewhere else ONE time and never again will we venture out he is in love with Sharkey’s!!

My 1 yr old son loves Sharkeys! His favorite thing is the balloon and candy he gets for being such an awesome client! He soaks up all the love he can from the ladies who work there.

Paris got my son in quick for his first professional haircut. My son wasnt thrilled and cried the entire time, but she continued to work and try to calm him. Paris did awesome on his hair and my son and I left happier than when we came in!

My son isn’t the easiest person to sit through a cut but every time we’ve gone, the stylist has stayed patient and have done everything they can to make sure he looks great. I also appreciate their willingness to follow CDC guidelines in the current environment. ☺️

I took my daughter in yesterday for a cut with layers. She has naturally curly hair. The woman that cut it did it very unevenly. Very noticable when it dried. Even more noticable when I straightened it. I went back today and got some apologies and another woman cut her hair again for no charge. She did a wonderful job. Its much shorter than the original plan was but its just hair and itll grow. My daughters much happier now and Im glad it was fixed but beware.

Just got my son’s hair cut for the first time. It took all of 5 minutes, and my after both my kids got balloons and candy. In the car, my daughter proclaimed it was the best day ever, ha! So my kids and I give it 5+ stars!

This is for the 11415 Quakers Ave location! I am not able to find that location, so leaving a review here since the management is same! Our kids love to have the hair cuts here and we always feel that they take care of our concern. Recently we had our baby’s first hair cut and Courtney showed patience and really did a great job. The only issue we face sometimes is, we always see new employees and sometime they ruin the hair cuts of our kids!! Few times we had really bad experience and reported that to the management. But I think now we got the stylist we needed who knows how we wanted our kids hair cut:)

Place was great! The stylist did well with my 2yo throwing a fit! He settled right in and she helped him have a fun time!

Not happy. Got my daughters hair cut and when I told hair dresser that it looked shorter on one side than the other and uneven in the back she argued with me saying it was because she curled it under on one side and didnt curl it under as much on the other side. :/

Showed up on time to my appointment and the staff was super friendly. They are super great with kids, would highly recommend for all ages. Even though they were super busy with back to school haircuts they did their best to accommodate us. 10/10 would recommend!! they even have dippin dots :)

We were 10 minutes late and they denied seeing us for our appointment. I even offered to wait. It was for 1 boys haircut which takes 10 minutes. We won’t be going back!!

Awful customer service and unprofessional. We traveled from out of town to get our sons haircut. We happened to be a few minutes late and they refused to cut his hair. I tried explaining our situation but instead of being understanding, the “manager” became flat out rude and disrespectful to me over the phone. His haircuts only take 10 minutes tops, but instead of trying to be hospitable they said we would have to wait another 3 hours to get him rescheduled. Since we don’t live here we would’ve been waiting in our car for those 3 hours. I have both my Bachelor’s and Master’s in Hospitality Management and this made my top 5 worst customer service experiences. I will NEVER recommend them to ANYONE.

All the fun birthday shenanigans in one place! Our six year old has been excited for months to have her nails painted, make up done, hair curled and to play dress up with her sweet friends and Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids Slide location did not disappoint!!! The girls had a blast, got pampered and were smiling ear to ear the whole party and our son even enjoyed his time on the gaming systems while we did all the girl things. The staff was so helpful and kind and made our little girl feel so special for her day! We can’t wait for our next birthday party!!!

Our grandson got his hair cut here. Lady who did the cutting was efficient and fast. How she kept from stabbing him or herself is beyond me. Very skilled technicians. Lots of music and neat chairs for the kids to enjoy. It’s better for older kids though; the younger ones might get overwhelmed too easily.

I got my sons first haircut here . i get he is little and squirms around but his edge up was completely crooked, they trimmed the top part of his hair and immediately styled it, i didn’t get a good look at the time, after we came home and bathed, one side was completely long still and the other side was cut very short . she seemed to be rushing . i don’t think i’d go back

My daughter just had a princess party for her 4th birthday here and it was amazing! The owner and employees make the party go so smoothly and all 8 girls (ages 2-9) had the time of their lives. It was worth every penny. Even the adults had fun watching.

Love this place Ive been taking my son here since he was 18 months old hes now 4. Everyone there works very well with kids. The atmosphere and set up is great.

I usually dont have an issue here. Every time I go to get my sons hair cut its a different person. This time I was very upset and kept my cool. I told the lady that I wanted to keep the same shape, trim the top and cute the lower sides and back using number 1. I turned my back and when I turned back the left side of my sons head was shaved off. I told the lady that was not what I asked you to do. Tried to fix it and left the right side untouched and said this is the new style. Really? No maam! The back is crooked and then got the opinion of another stylist who could not tell the back was crooked. I didnt act a fool but I should have, paid and left. Not happy at all. Some parts are longer than others. His hair is a total mess. Now to find someone else who can fix it before school on monday.

Took my son to get his haircut and the lady totally botched it! She attempted to “fix” it twice. Very terrible. I would give no stars if possible! Save your $23 and go elsewhere! I’m not a professional In that business and could have done a better job!!

They were very nice and got us in and out fast but it definitely cost way more that it should. But at the same time...I am ok with paying for a good haircut with them having an fun distraction while they are there. Just know the prices going in...you are paying for the atmosphere for sure. . We will definitely be going back.

We went as a walk in, signed our name on the sign in sheet and sat down. We saw multiple people go sign in and seen before us. I know appointments go first so I wasn’t upset. After an hour of waiting we went to check an estimated waiting time. They couldn’t find her name in the computer. I showed them her name and 5 people below her had been seen already. They enter her in the computer and say “oh you’ll be next”I asked if they put her in the computer system so they knew she was here and they said “no we don’t have a receptionist sorry”. We wasted a hour not even being in line.

We used to come here but it became so cluttered with toys all while raising the prices. We came here to see Amanda but since she and Trina are now at Riding N Style Cuts for Kids, we now go there! We’ve never had a problem there or with our kids cuts!

WAY too expensive and gimmicky! For an anxious kid or a special occasion, maybe. Definitely not a regular basis. Asked for a trendy cut (showed a pic) for a middle school boy (who was so engrossed in the video game, he didnt voice an opinion)... ended up with a basically Basic cut - almost wish I had gone to the Cosmetology school. Pretty sure I wouldve gotten what I requested 😞

We come here regularly for my kids and they always do great. The kids love all the treats they get too.

They do good work but we went in today to get a standard bang trim which has always been five dollars. When I went to pay it said eight dollars. I asked if the raised their prices and the employee wouldn’t even look at me and just said “oh, yeah” really quickly not elaborating. Bang trim is not on their price board and I was not informed of a price increase until it was time to pay. The fact that the price jumped more than 50% of what it had been prior is insane. That cut took the employee all of five minutes. A full cut and style at another barber would be twice that or less and that would include wash and cut and everything. Ridiculous. We’ve been religiously going to sharkeys for a few years now but no more. It makes me sad since my daughter loves it there but that is too much for something that takes like five or ten snips of the scissors and the fact that I was not informed of the change was uncalled for.

We took our 1 1/2 son there for his first haircut and was very impressed by how awesome our stylist was. She was quick, patient, and super kind to our little guy. When took him again for his second haircut and was just as impressed. We live about 2 hours away and still choose to drive there for his haircuts when we can.

My 2 year old son enjoys the atmosphere and they always do a great job. I took my daughter there and wasnt pleased with her stylist or the cut. They are a little pricey, but we continue to take our 2 year old since he enjoys it.

We were able to get a same day appt for our toddler. They were super friendly and distracted her with a fun car to sit in while they were cutting her hair (quickly). At the end, they threw in some quick nail polish to give good associations. Well definitely go back.

These people are amazing with small children, understanding and patient. Will never go anywhere else for a childs/toddlers hair cut!

My sons hairstylist Amanda was great!! New owners and everything is changing. Prices are very high! There was no notice that prices have changed. Unfortunately we will not be back to Sharkeys. My son has had 4 hairstylist in the 3 years we have been going to Sharkeys.

I went to the sharkeys inside walmart on 114th and quaker and the lady was so nice. Reasonably priced, honestly dont mind paying 27 dollars for my daughter nails getting done and her hair done. The lady gave her a little ring after she did her nails, kept her calm while washing her hair and conditioning it, and she even searched up my daughters fav show on Netflix while she cut her hair! Plus her hair is growing out so beautifully with the way the lady cut it. Definitely will be returning

Only had one stylist when we went so it saying walk ins welcome was not the case had to wait 3 hours by setting an appointment. But the lady was awesome and even helped me find hair product for my son that fidnt leave lots of residue!!

This was the worst haircut my daughter ever received. The cut is all wrong and she has a cit on her neck from the razor. The only good thing I can say is that the owner was willing to reimburse the charge for the cut. I dont recommend this place.

I love this place for my two toddler boys. My oldest always went to a regular barbershop but once we found out about here we kept coming back. My youngest 1st haircut was here. It can feel a little pricey but it’s really not much off from any other barbershop only a 3 dollar difference. Most cuts at barbershops are $17 and here is $21. It’s all kid friendly (can’t get at a barbershop) they have Pj masks on, different cars for the kids to sit in. The ladies are super nice and great with the kids. After they give the kids a ballon, lollipop and sticker. My kids love it. Totally worth it and gives a good experience for them getting a haircut. They do stylish haircuts too and pretty fast depending on how well your child does. They have toys everywhere but neatly put out. I think I’ll grab a couple things for stockings at Christmas time, so it’s convenient. There are fun and practical hair products too. It’s best to make an appointment. They do take walk-ins, which I have always done. Just don’t do it in the last hour they may or may not be able to take you. Which is understandable. They kindly took us at 6pm (closes at 7pm). They had to turn away someone who called ahead but they showed up at 6:39pm, mainly because they had 3 haircuts and only let them know about one so I can understand that. Especially after a back to school rush. The folks were not happy of course but it’s hard to make everyone happy in those situations. So just FYI it’s best to make an appointment and not show up in the last 20mins. Duh! They do always try to squeeze in as many as they can when they’re busy. I’ve seen them take a child who had special needs in the last 15mins so they are flexible depending on the day. Walk-ins are welcome, you might just have a short 15 min wait max but we’ve never waited that long. I’ve always had a pleasant experience here. My husband and I love it for the kids and feel comfortable. I’ll continue to come here until my boys out grow it. Also, they have cute booths in the back for girls to have a glamour party. They offer a service for both parent & child to get a haircut together which is convenient for a busy parent or a scared child to do it with mom or dad so it’s cute and thoughtful. Thanks Sharky’s

This place SUCKS!! My aunt took my cousin there and the lady that cut her hair did a HORRIBLE job!!! It was just a three inch trim and she butchered it... my aunt was so pissed and will never go back. Its DEFINITELY not worth the price of 25 dollars!!!!!! Would not recommend wasting your money there! no stars for this crap!!!!! Well I had to give it one star other wise it wouldnt let me post this review it..... it really deserves zero stars!!!!

My son and I love Amanda. Shes the only one who has ever cut his hair JUST the way I like it. Shes cut his hair since he was 2 and I will always go to her!

Called over the weekend and found out Trina and Amanda left to a new kid salon in Lubbock. Bummer. We came only for them. Won’t be coming back. Way to congested and just not worth it.

The hairdresser cut into my sons eyebrow leaving a big gap. She then thins them out to try and fix her mistake, they look horrible. She shows them to another hairdresser who tells me oh theyll grow back in a couple of days. Which I know is not true and doesnt make me feel better. The original hair dresser gave me like a 4 dollar discount (still not helping the situation). Not once did she apologize but said oh I havent done that in awhile(really???). As Im looking at his hair now its not even cut right. Its uneven on top they didnt cut it all the way. For as much as these people charge you would expect better service. Probably wont get his hair cut here anymore and Ive been coming here for over year.

My disabled daughter had an appointment yesterday and our experience was awful to say the least. They made the appointment near closing time which i did appreciate but as soon as i arrived it was obvious they were ready to close so they wanted to rush my daughters hair. The stylist assigned to us was short patience and disrespectful . she ended up pawning my daughters hair on a co-worker. I would not recommend this place to anyone who has a child with disabilities. I regret spending my money with a supposedly child friendly business that couldnt vaule my angel.

They always do a great job on haircuts and give what you ask for, they just updated their store so it much nicer. Its got alot to distract the kids from moterized car seats and video games. They even hand out stickers and balloons. Good for kids who dislike haircuts.

He always picks the red fire truck to sit in for his hair cuts. Now he tells me when his hair is to long so that way he can go to sharkeys

Came in yesterdy.. 1 hour before close.. called before I came, they said they take walk ins.. when we arrived, everyone and their mama was mad.. like they wasnt Clocked in getting paid. Get outta here. So Im sitting here now lol, nobody greeted us as we walked in... basically could have robbed the place and not a dresser would have noticed. So. We gona stay. And Im gona see whats up. Boy if they screw up they hair, the next review gona be live.😎

I took my 22 month old grandbaby here for a trim. Aside from the long wait (it WAS on a Saturday, tho...), I was immediately impressed with not only the facilities, but with the professionalism, friendliness & outright talent of the staff. I have never before witnessed a beautician move that fast!! They have the cutest cars for the youngest kids to sit in for their haircuts - everything from pink Barbie Jeeps & yellow Hummers to a bona fide red firetruck with a working siren. (And our grandbaby - a son of a fireman - of course had to choose THAT one...!!). The slightly older clientele (think pre-teen and tween, here) can choose between real grown-up stylist chairs with Nickelodeon/Disney on the many TV screens or separate party rooms. The girls one comes complete with twirling make-up chairs, mirrored walls and a Diva-style runway.Even with all of this, the prices are more than reasonable AND the kids all get to choose their own balloon, sticker & lollipop on the way out! 😊

Dont expect great customer service because you likely will not find it here BUT this is the best place to go if you need a kid friendly & fun atmosphere for a kids haircut.

High dollar cost, low quality cuts. Wont be returning there in the future. Would not recommend to anyone. Also had an issue there a while back with my haircut but figured it was just bad luck on me, but after taking my kids there once again I realized the service was poor and the excuses even worse.

They did so great with my sons first haircut, they made him feel comfortable, and very patient with him and made his first hair cut a special experience, a little pricey but for a place that you can take your child to and get good service and your child feels safe its worth it.
