I cant express how amazing this place is!!! The environment is extremely welcoming. The coaching is outstanding!!! Pricing is affordable. Base offers 3 free classes, it only took 2 classes for me to deicide and sign up. This will be the single greatest investment you can do for yourself!

I’ve been training here for a little over two months. It has been a great experience. Gabe and Greg have created a great environment in which to train. The whole feel of the group is one of mutual respect while challenging you to excel where ever you’re starting (I started with nothing at 40, and I love it). I also have 2 boys trying here as well, they’re loving it too. Cant praise these guys enough.

Gabe runs an effective and knowledgeable program. I havent trained at his facility yet but Ive coached against his kids in tournaments. They show great skill and technique which is obviously reflected from his training.

Professor Gabe is an amazing teacher who has created such a wonderful community to learn in! As a woman I felt comfortable immediately since it is such a welcoming atmosphere, which is so important! Love training here, and I look forward to evenings on the mat.

My 5 year old stepdaughter has been training at BASE for about 5 months now. She absolutely LOVES it and will be competing for the first time this upcoming February. Gabe is an amazing instructor and just an all around good person. He’s stern but also knows how to keep the classes fun and enjoyable for the kids. I will always recommend BASE for both kids & adults. it’s an upbeat, family type environment. Clean facility and the perfect way to get into shape not only physically, but mentally as well.

This place is more than a Jiu Jitsu academy, it is a home. The owner Gabe Hernandez does a great job helping you become a champion on the mats but also in your own life. This place is a home and gives you a sense of belonging. I wouldn’t go anywhere else in town. This is the place to be not only because of the professor but because of the amazing students as well.

Gabe spoke to me about the advantages of Jiu Jitsu for my daughter and I have not been disappointed! He is a fantastic coach and great with all ages. My daughter loves training with him and will continue to do so.

Prof. Hernandez is an awesome instructor and has done a great job teaching my 6 year old son. Very approachable and informative.Very clean and well equipped facilities.The training is very adaptable to all skill levels and capabilities. You don’t have to be in-shape to start training. Every person should at least try jiu jitsu and this is the place to do it.

I dropped into BASE BJJ while visiting family for Christmas and I ave to say it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had! Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. The Mats were very clean and hygienic. And the quality of the training there is a cut above all the rest. I recommend this place to anyone trying to improve their jiu jitsu or trying to get into it!

Base Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a gym that I highly recommend to anyone interested in learning a martial art. I choose to go to Base BJJ for the following reasons: (1) the people - everyone is very welcoming, friendly and supportive...there are no jerks or over-inflated egos; (2) the head instructor/owner Gabe Hernandez and the other instructors - all are extremely knowledgeable, remarkably patient, and genuinely interested in making sure that you are learning and making progress; also, there are not many places that I know of where you can go and sometimes find 4 black belts on the mat instructing lower belts; (3) the class schedule - classes are offered Monday through Saturday, so theres always a class available for you to attend; and (4) the affiliation - Base BJJ is an affiliate of Bruno Bastos, a world class competitor and champion with an impeccable reputation on and off the mat.
