I wanted to add my honest opinion of this testing center after seeing so many negative reviews. I took my NPTE here today and the staff was nothing but helpful, friendly, and kind. I thought they did a great job, dont be scared by these other reviews!

TLDR: if you are and MS2, MS3, on intern. Don’t book your test here, just choose another city and make a trip out of it.If this prometric was an ex boyfriend, he would be the one your family and friends all hated. They never pick up the phone, cancel last min, expect you to show up and then stand you up, never call to tell you that they never planned to show up 2 days from now, and don’t understand the gravity of how important something is to you.USMLE is such an exhausting experience as it is, you don’t need the added stress of a poorly run testing center.Update: and the they call you on the day of the test asking where you were as if you were expected to be there when the sign on the door less than 12 hours before says they are closed until further notice. Mind you, where does one get notice when they don’t communicate with you at all? Who knows.

Cancelled my test. Didnt even send me email telling me it was cancelled.

The WORST prometric center. I travelled from Permian Basin area to Lubbock (2 hours+ drive) for my fiancees TOEFL exam and guess what, the center was closed.No prior notice was given to us regarding the closure of the center. We received the confirmation email from ETS and nothing from Prometric. Along with my fiancee there were two other candidates who suffered.I urge everyone of you who are reading this review to take exam anywhere but not at this Lubbock center.

This is the trashiest dump you could possibly take a test at. I had my test here canceled on me 3 times with barely enough time to reschedule. I’ve had countless friends have their tests canceled last minute with several of them canceled the day of. There is absolutely no customer service. They never answer their phones. They care nothing for the fact that these tests mean a considerable amount to our futures. I hope all testing companies seriously reconsider giving their business to prometric after this trashy performance the last couple of months.

When I came to be tested at the time from a confirmation email, I realized that the office is closed. I have never received anything from Prometric regarding my test. Terrible place. Now I have to go through all legal stuff to get all the fees reimbursed .

This Prometric location has a serious communication problem. Putting a sign on the door that says were closed and turning off the lights does not provide adequate warning to test takers that their exams are cancelled, especially when we live in the 21st century where EMAIL AND PHONES EXIST. Terrible business, avoid at all costs. If I could give no stars, I would.

I showed up Saturday to take my exam only to arrive at an empty, closed office with an open sign on the door. Prometric customer service couldn’t tell me why they were closed and haven’t been open all week. According to customer service, the Lubbock office is open. But they. Are. Not. Nobody can tell me what’s going on.

I arrived today at 11:15 and the doors of the testing center were locked, the lights were out, and no one was present. There was not a note indicating that the testing center was closed and the only “sign” was a clock sign that said “sorry be back at 2:30”. I waited until 11:30 and still no one from the tested center showed up to administer my test. I quickly called ETS (Educational Testing Service) through the number provided on my admission ticket and explained the situation.I waited until 1PM and no one from the testing center showed up. I was eventually informed by ETS that my test had been canceled. I was not notified by e-mail or phone by the testing center at all that the testing center would be closed. I was not even notified by the testing center that my test had been canceled, I had to go through an ETS supervisor to find out what was even going on. I am severely disappointed in this service.I sat in a parking lot for 2 hours, wasted a day I could have been teaching in my school, and now have to find a totally separate day to take off and plan for a sub in order for me to retake my exam. I even went back to the testing center a little past 2:30 hoping to talk to someone and get an explanation but no one was there despite what the sign on the door had indicated. I was not given 24 hours’ notice like I was supposed to be given indicating that my testing center was closed. The testing center wasn’t even listed on the website as closed; it just wasn’t open. Even right now, 5 hours after my appointment, I have still not heard from the testing center - I have received all of my information from the ETS hotline. Hopefully I will never have to use this testing service again.
