Honestly, do not rent here. There is a reason why there are so many bad reviews about this place. The customer service is honestly abysmal; all stemming from the front office... They are confrontational, they tend to not have very accurate records, and the miscommunication amongst themselves in the front office means the tenant tends to get the short end of the stick. Rent increased as management changed and with that they updated (and I use that would very lightly) SOME of the units. They still are not worth it. They are rent and deposit collectors. They dont care if something is broken in your unit, they just care if the rent will be on time. With them being the way that they are and never fixing anything just know you wont get you deposit back even leaving the unit better than when you moved in... Youd probably meet a more honest used car salesman than the management here. Lastly, the cost of rent here is merely centered on location which is the only benefit of these apartments. Again do not waste your money or time, go somewhere else.
Be careful if renting here, they will take any opportunity to not return your full security deposit. Take pictures before you leave in order to dispute a cleaning fee they charge you for. Good luck!
DO NOT RENT. Any good reviews come from the previous management (Kings Storage nearby). The new management since Spring of 2020 has been terrible. Uncommunicative and to repeat some of the other reviews, keep terrible records, are willing to lie, and do not care for the tenants- plus, there’s a new property manager and assistants every month that aren’t any different than the before. I spent most snowstorms last winter shoveling myself out, and having to shovel the elderly neighbors out as well because they would plow several feet away from the garage door and leave 3 foot high snow banks in front of everyone. Lastly and what mostly ruined it for me was everything that has ensued and continues to ensue after I left and moved across the country. 3 weeks after leaving I received a statement that said “final account statement” saying i would receive approx. $460 out of my $805 deposit. 80% of the unreturned amount was for general cleaning charges they insist they charge everybody for regardless of condition. Next, i waited for a while and approx 60 days after moveout, I had to call (multiple times) to see where my return was. They insisted their “home office” hadnt sent it yet, but they “just put it in the mail” and I should “receive my money next week”. Instead of money, I received a second FINAL statement now revised saying I owe THEM money for damages. I tried to get a hold of them and the property manager would never be “available” and would not call me back. Spent the next month only being able to get replies via email, in which they sent me damage photos of a different apartment- and stopped replying after I called them out. I have not heard back from them. The only positive of this place was the arguably safer area this is in. Too bad their property is run by pretty sad people. I was willing to negotiate some sort of difference (even though it wasnt right) just to settle and still get something back- but nope. Do not rent here- take the warnings!
Look elsewhere. Completely unfair to renters,.
Bad service, the office never answers their phone. Maintenance request take forever to be fixed. They don’t even get back to you to say they won’t be able to do it . You’ll will keep calling for weeks and all they say is “we’ll fix it” but rent has to be in on time right
This landlord wants 2020 prices with 1980 kitchens & bathrooms! New management is inadequate, main office staff lacks customer service training, & it takes me on average 5 call attempts (throughout the day) to pay rent by the time they answer the phone. They had a significant price increase on rent & even required you to put down more $ on your original deposit. No joke. It wouldn’t seem so bad if they were updating or at the very least fixing & maintaining properly. Besides the newly constructed building, all the rest are in very bad shape. Not worth the new prices. Look around in the area for other options, there’s much nicer kept, more modern, & lower/equal price apartments & condos available.
I have lived here for 5 and a half years and am completely unhappy with the new change in management/ownership. Rent increased $85. For a place Id gotten used to being month to month, and only slowly increasing overtime, I am now am being charged $85 more because I wont sign a lease. In addition, a call was made for maintenance yesterday afternoon regarding my broken washing machine. An entire work day has passed and no one has reached out. Of course, I did come home to a nice new letter in my door saying they accidentally mistyped how much my new rent is and its actually $10 more than theyd previously noted to us. Do I have any real paperwork documenting this other than the print offs they leave in my door? No. When I called to inquire why no one came to repair my broken machine I was told there was no other number to call and there was no answer as to why I havent been contacted about my request after 24 hours. All that would be done for me is to take another message. In all my previous years here things have never been like this. As a loyal tenant who has never been late on a payment or had a complaint against her I really dont feel valued here. They went and changed what this place was without any improvement. I dont believe this place is worth $915 a month when they no longer shovel off your stairs when it snows, when garbage is lying all over the lawn, when the carpets and equipment is from before I moved in, when the outside of the apartment buildings are dirty and stained, and the staff treats you like an inconvenience for calling about an issue.
Everyone made this place out to be a great place to rent from. As soon as the new management took over things went south. Repairmen showed up for no reason and refused to leave when we told them we hadnt requested any maintenance to begin with. They tried to make all sorts of improvements but they are merely cosmetic. The rent was about to go up drastically and so we sought other avenues and places to live. We moved out and it took 2 months and multiple phone calls to get our deposit back and when we finally got it out of 830 we got 55 dollars. And they said per the lease its under cleaning/repair so i got charged 175 for carpet cleaning, 450 for paint, and 125 for apartment cleaning and sanitizing. Ive rented from several places that have been more graceful and expedient with their deposit refunds. Ive always taken care of the places i live and gotten the full deposit back, this feels like a slap in the face.
Poor management and ownership changes. They do not fix or resolve issues when needed. The new website is marketed the apartments as luxory spa. These are far from luxory and look and to be in the condition of poorest quality. I would not recommend renting an apartment here. The new ownership is greedy and want to raise rent with out proper notice, only to push out their long term Tennants. The new owner manager is a joke, and probably should take a class on property management. Dont rent from this guy.
Its a really good place to live, as far as the neighborhood goes, just make sure you are self reliant as far as the apartment goes.
