I’ve always been a little nervous to engage in teletherapy; but Heart-Centered Counseling makes it personal and so much less overwhelming. The staff are kind and easy to talk to and meeting links are sent to your email so when it’s time to start your session all you have to do is click! I should have known they weren’t going to be very good when they were recommended by UCHEALTH. Their practices manipulate their patients and insurance requiring monthly 15 min appointments just to stay on their medications. So, every month you have to pay for an appointment ($$) and take off time from work ($$) just to keep on medication($$). I’ve only seen practices this manipulative in medical malpractice cases.If you’re stable on meds (like I have been for ~28 years), you would be wasting your money here. I’m moving to a place that isn’t using its milking it’s patients (and their insurance) like cash cows.Also, their support staff is exceptionally rude and they go out of their way to be unhelpful. You can take your practices and EaBoD, I’m going somewhere that actually wants to help people, not use them.

I tested the online therapy platform that is being created and was very surprised about how easy it was!You are directly emailed a link which includes a button to join a Google Meets room and speak directly with someone. It took me all of two minutes to receive my email and be face-to-face with a therapist. It cant be any more secure and I felt very comfortable during the process.I think providing an option like this for therapy is a great idea and many people will find it useful! This is a great alternative to traditional in person therapy and I think it can help those who may be nervous to go to a therapist in person, those with a hectic schedule or maybe even clients who are out of town and cant make it to their scheduled appointments.Thanks again!

I tried the online counseling platform that is offered. It was incredibly easy to use. The link to the platform is emailed to you, all you have to do is click it and you are in with your counselor. It is great to be able to get therapy from the comfort of my own home. All HIPAA regulations are followed and privacy is assured. I would absolutely have no problem using this platform in the future. Heart-Centered Counseling allows me to connect with someone via Google. Though I was unable to add the visibility component on my laptop, a person was able to help me live over the phone to connect me through my phone instead in order for both of us to see one another and speak. By troubleshooting quickly, we were able to connect and the service was provided subsequently. I hope this is helpful for you!

Had a consult with Ashley Shaw who recommended weekly visits. After the consult we scheduled the next appointment 2 weeks out. I was told we would schedule future appointments at that time. Ashley assured me there would be no problem with weekly visits starting after the 2nd appointment.After the second appointment we went to schedule our follow up appointments, nothing available for 3 weeks. We scheduled 3 weeks out and weekly for a month. When I asked for assurance we would not have the same scheduling issues Ashley told me she was unable to guarantee anything.Patients are far more important then a paycheck. Shouldnt be accepting new patients if you cant support the work load or honor commitments.

My experiences with the staff here have been nothing but caring, kind, and considerate. I have always felt heard and cared-for, and I am grateful for the thoughtful communication Ive received. Carl in particular is a generous and warm soul, and my life is better for my having found this practice.

I was referred to Marcie by my medical doctor after a car accident. With her expertise in EMDR, she helps me positively process the memories of this traumatic life changing event. I see her on-going as we work through this process together. I appreciate her professionalism and continued support.

Ive met with a virtual doctor before, but this was my first tele-therapy session. The program was easy to set up, and Dr. Nassar calmy explained how to use the program, and that we were meeting securely in a HIPAA-compliant setting. He was very friendly and reassuring, and I would be happy to meet with him again through tele-therapy.

All I had to do was click a link and it practically loaded everything for me! It was a safe and secure connection, so I didnt have to worry about privacy issues during our session. If you can watch a youtube video, then you can access tele-mental health on your phone, iPad, laptop, or desktop. No more having to leave your home just to drive all the way to the therapists office (which saves both time & money). I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with their new tele-mental health system. This really is the future of mental health!

I was referred by my family dr for my 8yr old son who is having depression & anxiety. Even making frightening statements such as I dont deserve to live!, I hate myself! And Just throw me off the roof!. (Not my normal sweet kid at ALL!)THIS place took a week to call me back, z weeks to verify insurance (that can be done in less than 5min esp urgent situations). Another 10 days to set up w/a therapist and she only sees ADULTS!! I was able to get us into the school counseling center to get through until we could be seen. Not ideal but sufficient.That was almost 3 weeks ago!! I have been calling & texting over & over this whole time. No missed calls from them, NOTHING!!! Maybe its because we have Medicaid & that makes us subhuman.I am a full time student & full time mom trying to get ahead in this world. But times like this bring me bk to the way things were early 1900s. The poor were a plague needing to be irradicated, not other PEOPLE who had to overcome hardships. Truly devastated by this whole ordeal as I simply want help to get my lil man bk..
