Called last night to try and get my car and the lady who answered the phone told me I would have to wait until they open at 1 Sunday. Cool. So I called around 2:30 before going, to see if I needed to bring anything and she said that I was supposed to be there at 1. If that’s what she actually had said I would have been there on time to get my car right?? But what can I do except wait until they open tomorrow. Whoever works the phone needs to be more clear. Thanks.

Someone used my name and my phone number to have a car towed. The car owner called me very upset and I had no idea who the person was, where they lived or anything about the car. I called Dave’s to try to get answers. Apparently, the car was towed 60 days ago and the owner of the car somehow got my number from Dave’s recently? I asked if Dave’s had a caller ID that could show who actually called in and the number used...seems simple enough. Eventually, I was told “I was full of sh*t” and hung up on. Sounds like the owner may contact the police, so hopefully Dave’s will be more professional with law enforcement.

EXTREMELY RUDE! Especially when youre calling because youre on the side of a highway with two children so you try to get a vehicle towed and ask for an estimate but get over talked. I would never recommend spending my money some place with a nasty attitude.

I called to get a car towed off of my property and the lady that answered the phone kept interrupting me. She said I had to have a contract for them to tow a car, so I asked who else would tow it or how to get a contract. She blatantly said she didn’t care and then hung up.

The reason why I cant give it five stars is because I didnt personally deal with this business. But Ill tell you this I will support anyone that puts our country first.

I have been dealing with Daves Towing for about 6 months now. I have a parking lot that is private property with signs posted but people continue to park there that shouldnt be. I set up a contract with Daves Towing to help with this problem and it most definitely has helped keep people from parking there that shouldnt be. I still have some people that dont know how to read and will park on the lot. I call up Daves Towing and they send someone out to tow away the car or cars as quickly as possible. I am glad I started using them because they have been very helpful. I wanted to give a few compliments to some of the workers I have dealt with also. I have nothing but good things to say about Carol who is one of the Dispatchers there. Anytime I call she answers or calls right back if she was taking care of another customer. She has always been professional and super nice to me and really easy to deal with. I also wanted to give a compliment to Tony and Chris who are a couple of the drivers. Anytime they have come to tow a vehicle they are very professional and easy to deal with. They are really good at what they do and treat everyone with dignity and respect. They always go above and beyond what they need to do and I appreciate their help. I would definitely recommend this business and Carol, Tony, and Chris. Lady at front desk was polite and informative, didn’t lose patience with me even though I called 5-6 times in 24 hours about the same issue.Randy was the driver that towed my car. He went above and beyond to help me out. I honestly haven’t seen anyone work as hard as he did in I don’t know how long. He got my car off the truck even though I didn’t have my key, better parking job than I would have done if I was driving. He then tried every method possible to pop my lock and didn’t give up until he got it.Amazing customer service.I will definitely use them for any future towing needs and highly recommend to anyone else.Thank you all so much!!!!

I had a great experience. Friday afternoon before 4th of July my car broke down on a busy street 30 miles from my home. Daves was the 3rd that I called. Nobody else could even make it. I expected to be ripped off because of the whole situation, not at all. I was given a discount. The woman at dispatch was wonderful. Tony, the driver, communicated that I should go on home and he would pick my car up and bring it to me so I didnt have to wait in the heat. He was very quick and professional. Excellent service. They damaged my truck by hooking up to it and dragging it wile still in park now it makes a loud whining noise wile driving all employees carry guns and make sure there visible to public undereducated and not a safe place to do business

One of the nature of the beast businesses. My Blazer brokedown and was subsequently towed and impounded. They graciously worked with me to get my vehicle back. I only had contact with two of the staff, but both were professional and courteous. I did not rate a fifth star only because I was always taught there is always room for improvement.

Horrible. Do not recommend. They try to intimidate you as soon as you walk in the door. This business may be ok for the people who contract them but heaven help you if you have to go and get your car from them. I ended up with a nail in my tire because they care more putting up photos of Trump propoganda and pictures of people that theyve caught stealing cars out of their lot than they do about the upkeep of their lot.

These people really through for me. When my daughter busted a tire a wreck avoiding they picked up the car and took it to a tire place,who had recommended Daves. I was able transact everything via. They were courteous and, understanding and very professional. I will definitely be using Daves for any future tolling needs.

Just called to get a price of a tow 4 miles away from my home, I was quoted 75$.. I said wow that’s a lot for just four miles away, the lady on the phone told me” oh well that’s our price take or leave it, Good bye have a nice day!!” And hung up on me before I can say another word. Unknown that the price she gave me was the cheaper of all the quotes I was given, I just didn’t understand why tows where so expensive for just four miles away!! But before I could get that out I was rudely hung up on smh.. called back to see why she was so rude and I was told if I didn’t have the money don’t call here and hung up on me again as I was talking.. I have the money but I refuse to be treated like that for my hard earn money.. I see why their review ratings or @ 2.1.. My recommendation for this business is to stay far away from them they do not have good customer service and they are very rude I can just imagine how their tow truck drivers are..

I have no doubt these guys have definitely earned every one star rating on here and actually one star is way too good for them. They literally sit and prey on the U of L students and watch them. As soon as they step out of their car they back up to their car and tell them that they have to pay $75 or get their car towed. My daughter and I literally saw them hook their tow truck up to a car with a college student inside. They are rude and try to prey on young kids to scam them. if you use this company you are just enabling their dispicable behavior.

Lot owners be warned this company tows(cash only) improperly with substandard equipment. They told me that the lot owner was responsible for the damages caused to my transmission because of the wrong truck being used on my vehicle. Google Daves Towing lawsuits before getting ripped off for real information on this happening.

If I could leave negative stars I would, I do not normally write reviews but this place is absolutely the worst establishment and group of people I have ever had to encounter. They did over $1,100 worth of damage to the vehicle and are by far some of the RUDEST people I have ever met. How they are still in business blows my mind. If you have a choice at all whatsoever, do not give these people your money for towing services. Hopefully they go out of business soon so that people that are already under stress do not have to forgo anymore due to the staffs inadequate ability to provide any humane customer service or professional towing service.And to respond to your response, no one is mad at their own parking faults....everyone is upset at the terrible customer service and rudeness of your staff! You sound like a child trying to place blame!!

Convenient location

My car got towed to here and I got it back but now theres damage to the front end of it. I went and checked my car everyday, where it was parked at and there was not a scratch. I cannot believe this company and they cant do nothing about it. All they said was you can make a police report. That wont do any good. I will never ever ask these people to tow a car. Do not give them the time of day or even consider them for their service. They simply dont know how to tow a car and not do damage. As I have seen in other and many reviews that this has happened.

If I could give this company 0 stars, I would. They are SCAM ARTISTS. I parked my car at Cardinal Center on 4th Street and walked inside Insomnia Cookies at 12:13 p.m. At 12:16 p.m., I saw one of their tow trucks coming up to my car to try and tow it. I immediately ran outside and got in my car and left. When I called their company to tell them that they are towing customers cars, the woman on the phone was the rudest lady I have ever spoken to. She asked if I walked off the premises and I told her no. She then asked if my car got impounded and when I said no, because I ran to my car and hopped in, she said, Its none of your business, then, and hung up on me. Now I probably wont ever shop at those businesses in that plaza because Im too afraid my car will get towed.

I have always enjoyed excellent customer service each time Ive had my car towed with Daves Towing Services, today was especially an example of the wonderful customer service Ive received, my car was towed by Brad and Anthony, their communication was excellent....from the moment I called they patiently answered my questions, kept me informed of when they were enroute, showed up promptly like they said they would, and parked my car perfectly and in the spot very convient for me. My car HAD to be towed from a friends house TODAY.....THANK YOU Brad and Anthony for the reminder that there really is a silver lining in every cloudy day. EXCELLENT SERVICE!!!!!

My son parked off Bardstown Road immediately behind a restaurant where he was taking a date. He says he thought it was part of that restaurants lot (there were two side by side, and a small lot) but, obviously, he was wrong. They towed my sons car to their lot. His bad. He called first thing in the morning, many times, and eventually reached someone who said they would meet him at the lot at noon. There were others already waiting there when we got there. What they meant to say was 1:30 pm. Their lot is in the middle of nowhere. When he got to the car, it wouldnt move. The axle was broken. No explanation. No apology. Heres your car. They knew they broke the axle. We had dropped my son off, thinking he was getting the car, so there he was. Finally, they towed the car to a church lot for him so a mechanic could look at it. I guess it was better than nothing. But it still cost me over $300 to fix the car. The mechanic said there was no reason AT ALL to tow the car by the axle, and that its basically illegal for a company that has a contract with the city to do so. Thanks. For nothing.

Not my experience, but I have to comment.I went to buy a drink at Thorntons downtown on Broadway. A kid beside me had a flat so I asked if he needed a hand. He couldnt remove the lug nuts because they were different sizes. I had a lug wrench that fit, so I helped him. He was a foreigner, and spoke halting English, but was very polite and communicated well.However, he had called Daves Towing. When the tow truck showed up, the driver was belligerent, pushy and very threatening. He demanded $35 from the young man for showing up, but didnt even ask if he could help. He even dropped the tow hitch to scare the young man. It worked, and he paid the $35. But the tactics this driver used were uncalled for.I would NEVER recommend this service based on what I witnessed. I dont know if this is normal, or if this was just a driver taking advantage of a foreigner, but some civility is called for in these situations. I wonder if I would have been treated differently being a white male.I cant recommend a service that treats people like this.

Cold heartless people towed my truck for a flat tire in a trailer park that im getting evicted from during a pandemic ..so not only will i be homless with three kids i now have no way to move.do not call these people for a tow all they care about is money.

This company is run by predatory scam artists. From a contractual standpoint, Daves Towing is a great service provider if you are in any line of business that requires towing. Unfortunately, I have to be the bad guy and tow people on occasion. This company is excellent for always being to the location when they say they will be and have never damaged any other vehicle or property while towing.

They are the shadiest company Ive ever dealt with in my life Speedway on Crittenden Drive had my car towed after they told me I could leave it there so Daves towed the car when I call him they tell me one thing I called to verify something else and they tell me something different five different times they told me 5 different things within 3 hours to price went up I need it different paperwork and it was cash only because theyre hiding money from IRS then my wife goes out there to pick up the car with my mother and upon walking back to get the car the guy proposition her Like Shes a damn prostitute they dont have any insurance and they dented the door on my car I wouldnt even give one star if I had an option more like -5 also if you look at their other reviews any of them thats five stars is their employees or owner or something like that theyre giving themselves five stars not right is it thats okay Karma will get them

Got my car towed in front of my apartment complex. Granted it was my fault I parked in a fire zone lane. However, the guy I dealt with was rude and unprofessional. Great to work with as a property manager

I watch them tow cars everyday. The guy in the Grey Nissan parked at the end of the lot watches you walk off the lot. The guy will call or point to the car that gets towed next. Daves Tow driver is on the other side of the Complex out of sight. I watched six cars today get hooked up in less than thirty minutes. Each person approaches the ass of a driver and he points them to the direction of the ATM at the PNC bank approximately Fifty feet away. The person walks to the ATM and withdraws $138.00. The tow driver stays parked behind the vehicle until the person gives the driver the cash money they withdrew from the ATM. The driver then unhooks the car, and immediately proceeds to the next victim that the guy in the Grey Nissan points to. Im curious if the IRS knows about all the cash transactions. This company made $828. in thirty minutes. Can you imagine seven days a week and at least Eight hours a day of this cash cow???

Worst towing company I have ever encountered. Absolutely the rudest and unprofessional staff and owner. My car was towed by a completely incompetent driver who apparently doesnt understand the difference between front wheel drive and rear wheel drive car. He picked up and towed my REAR wheel drive car from the front while it was in reverse gear, forcing the transmission to pop and grind until the linkage snapped out of gear. When confronted he first admitted it, then lied once realized what he had done. The office staff would talk over me, yell and hang up when I called to talk to the owner, who of course is only there for a few hours a day. The owner, is also extremely rude and obnoxious, also talking over me while trying to explain the situation. They clearly do not have any kind of customer service skills what so ever. While I admit I parked in a striped spot in my designated (full) over crowded lot, that gives absolutely no right to destroy my vehicle in the process and then outright lie about the situation, then when caught in the lie hang up on me. Thankfully I know more about cars than they do, because I was able to fix the car and avoid the $1000+ bill I would have gotten from a shop, that of course, this company would not take responsibility for. From now on, I will always avoid this company, and I would advise everyone to do the same.

This company towed my car Sunday morning from a church parking lot in the highlands that I had left parked on Saturday night. I understand I parked on private property so my car being towed is understandable. What is not acceptable is the amount of damage done to my front bumper. After reading many other reviews it seems this company does this often, as well as many other unprofessional and shady things. Mohawk gauged ears toes my s*** to their yard on a Friday does not lock my doors and does not turn off any lights such as hazards so therefore my battery runs completely out upon retrieving my vehicle after the weekend Monday morning to find Battery completely dead missing personal effects and items out of my car doors unlocked therefore easier for thieves that break into their yard on a regular from what they say my understanding if youre stealing from a car you grab everything of value so tell me why cordless drills bank cards actual cash numerous items of value or in my car yet two small tool boxes containing specialty items are nowhere to be found but a thief whether they work for a company or come on the lot is a f****** thief so if your car is being towed good luck f*** this place karma is a b****

Didnt actually use the service but there was a truck on the Watterson Hwy that cut across four lanes, nearly hit us and another car, and flipped us off. Pro tip: dont be an idiot or a jerk while in your company car. Good to know theres great drivers towing these cars.

Absolutely putrid service. Set a time to pick up car. They moved time back. Arrived at new time. Said wait 10 minutes. Half hour later no one here. Ignored phone calls from Cell phone. Called on different phone and they answered right away. Shame you can have a necessary service such as towing and be so shamefully awful at it that you can still remain in business. Hopefully no one has to rely on this tow company in a pinch. Just be sure to have $$$ handy because they do actually care about that.

The lady working inside was very nice and professional. But i advise you, do not use this company. They picked up my car, and now 3 TPMS sensors are messed up. It feels like my wheel is going to fall off. I will have to take it to the shop now. Cant wait to find out what this is gonna cost me. The tow truck driver, a red headed fellow i think he might be special so i wont say what id like too. But let me tell you, how they towed this car is beyond me. He had to open the door to do it. Which isnt legal. I checked with the Jefferson county sheriffs at 1235 pm. But i had to pull off intestate 64 to wait on a tow to a shop because of how bad this is shaking now. Its a 2009 chevy cobalt blue green in color. Daves towing will be getting a bill, now im a honest person, if they look at this and say nothing by a tow could cause this ill change my review to reflect such. I also now have a damaged hub cap. You all took amazing care of my dead mothers car. Thanks. Oh if your driver ever wants to meet up, my offer still stands. ALSO just got my car back, $ 1462.32 to get it fixed. Broken sway bar caused by improperly pulling the vehicle. Broken coil springs in the rear caused by driving to fast with a suspended vehicle. Bob hook Chevrolet has agreed to testify that these are a result of improper towing by Daves Towing, you failed to offer my half price to drop it after i caught him before leaving under KRS132.22 thats illegal. I will be pressing criminal and civil charges.

After reading many reviews and having to pick up a vehicle from this establishment, I am saddened to know their are companies out here like this. I picked up a vehicle from this lot and first off let me start by saying the customer service is horrible. Customers make or break a business and this operation totally overlooks that. The lady behind the desk is rude and over the phone it’s a bit worse! The impound lot was very crowded and unorganized. I hate to know that this company gets away with what they do. Ill admit I was at fault for being towed. I parked at Tan and Laundry on UofLs campus..I ran across the street to get a coffee at Quills. Within 10 minutes my car was towed. There are signs posted explaining parking for Tan and Laundry only. but the towing company was parked waiting for college students to walk away so they could tow their cars. As if college students dont have enough to pay for. I watched 15-20 cars get towed in less than an hour. Seems like an easy skeem to make a thousands in a day. Im sure by the end of the day they towed easy a 100-150 cars. It cost $107.00 to get my car out of the impound lot the same day. The tow shop office is a complete dump and smells horrible. The lady was rude and not very helpful..just glad to take the money. She didnt require my ID to get my car back just cash.
