I had my son in October and the hospital spelled his last name wrong, I tried getting it fixed and because of covid they are doing phone call only services. I politely asked the woman if there was any way I could do an appointment because I was not comfortable send his original birth certificate that I paid for, my I.D. And his doctors records through the mail because I have to drive, go to doctors appointments and in case of emergencies that I need any of those things and the woman rudely asked well why would you need an appointment and I when I explained it’s for my sons name correction she told me well you have to send the originals or we’re not going to fix it. After this I was already highly irritated and asked her how long they’d have it and she told me once I send it in then they have to quarantine it for 3 to 5 days and it’ll take 15 days for them to fix it and mail my stuff back. I understand taking precautions during the pandemic but this is ridiculous, we have a restaurants, bars and malls open but you can’t have a government office open to take limited appointments for actual important matters
They hanged up on me when I asked for a question. The woman could’ve just said no or yes or idk RUDE smh
Due to this pandemic the Social Security Administration has implemented a new way to request a new copy of your social—print out the actual application online, and send out the ORIGINAL copy of your identification in the mail. If you’re with me this far you might have already guessed that this girl has mailed her license to the office. As it goes, it takes 4 weeks to receive the social security card. But because of the inconvenience they’re supposed to be sending you the identification back immediately. Like 2-3 days later. It’s going on one week now and I have not received anything and I am going to just have a new license made.
I called because the office is closed for in-person services. I asked a simple question about Spanish speaking representatives for a client of mine, the Customer Service representative was very unprofessional and disrespectful in his response. This is not the way you should treat clients.

Ive been trying to find out why my SSI hasnt posted to my account. It was due to go on my account on the 23rd. No money yet. My phone is going to get turned off if I dont get money by tomorrow. I cant talk to anyone. This is ridiculous. I dont understand why they cant have people there to help us
Two stars because you may, eventually, get a check for benefits. However, do not expect to be treated with any respect just because you paid approximately one third of your salary into the system for forty or fifty years. Staff members consistently refuse to provide a contact person or an email address, even when they are hounding beneficiaries for more information. As you can tell, if you read the other reviews, the worst problems occur when you are reporting income earned while on SSDI (colloquially known as disability). Failure to report such income is, of course, a federal crime, as it should be. However, when you report your income to this office, chances are good they will treat you like a liar and a cheat. They even threatened to cancel my disability insurance benefits because I reported about $50 in earned income for one month. It is virtually impossible to get them on the phone. One staffer pretended to be an answering machine when I finally did get him on the phone. And god help you if you are trying to get a Medicare benefit because you are on dialysis. Someone at this office actually told me that Social Security is not answerable to the official Medicare user manual. And then she repeated it.

Usually in & out, but due to my disability am not taken too seriously. Staff over worked & want to rush you out. They dont really help you if theyre just trying to make it to lunch. Im going to pay a visit today 1-20-17. Hopefully theyre understanding & can help me. My next review depends on it.
Yes hello, I was in line hoping to get a gun so I can defend my home because I get many death threats on Call of Duty MW2, so anyways I waited for 3 hours and I realized the cops were outside and they left their sirens on, I got arrested for armed robbery, drug possession, breaking and entering, attempted murder, and assault with a deadly weapon, however I did nothing wrong, I just killed 3 massive flies. Can you please explain? 4 stars because the plants taught me how to dance. Thanks for reading!
This place is a nightmare. Security personnel are unbelievably hostile. Employees overworked. No wonder they tend to be short and irritable. I just needed to change my last name due to marriage, but the way they acted, youd think I was trying to cheat the system! Lots of foreigners applying for US benefits. Wow. I thought those cases were few and far between.
The staff there is very friendly & helpful, for the most part.
The wait time wasnt very long and I got my sons social security cards pretty fast all I needed was their birth certificates and documents to prove who I was from the hospital.

The wait time on the phone is 1 hour or longer. They take your number for a callback but never call.
