My girlfriend has this insurance provider and it has to be one of the worst health insurance providers Ive ever seen. Youre just as well of with no insurance. How they are still in business is astonishing. Theyre has to be a pending legal case against this insurance company. The reviews on this company speak loudly enough themselves. Even if you need to make use of the insurance, almost no where in Kentucky will take them.
Switches your insurance and doesnt tell you after the fact. Call the Member Services line AND NO ONE CAN ANSWER MY SIMPLE QUESTIONS without asking if they can call me back after they do some research AND NEVER FRICKEN CALL ME BACK. Id give this a 0 star if I could. Going back to wellcare, you can bet that! If I wasnt pregnant Id go without healthcare until I can actually switch during the season for it 🙃 says a lot about a company.
I swear Kentucky wants everyone to be toothless. Cant even find a dentist that accepts this insurance!
This is the worst insurance you could possibly have. Doesn’t cover anything. MOST places won’t accept it either. When I called their phone line to ask for help finding a tmj doctor, I couldn’t even ask. I pressed two to talk to someone and they just hung up on me and said lines busy. Wouldn’t even let me wait.
Aetna has always been supportive to me and my family. I haven’t experienced any inconveniences while being insured with them. They have always been very helpful and mindful when I have questions or concerns.
I am so glad to have Aetna. They have answered any questions I have had in a timely manner and the staff is always professional when I call in for help.
Aetna offers great service and I am glad to have them as my insurance provider! They are always nice and answer any questions I have!
Worst managed care organization in Kentucky! They lie about everything, each person you speak too will tell you something different. No supervisors available when request one, yet they claim all calls are monitored and recorded but never can catch the lies they tell to members! Denies anything to keep from paying it.
This is the worst and dumbest group of individuals that I have spoken to in quite some time. All Aetna Better Health divisions are sub par, but this one takes the cake. My heart hurts for anyone that has to endure their member services...SWITCH MANAGED CARE ORGANIZATIONS...it will be the best thing you do today.
If I could give this company no stars, I would. Worthless. Ive been lied to several times in regards to medication coverage. This is a medication that I need due to immune system problems. It helps protect me from infection. But Aetna doesnt care about that. They only care about the bottom line, cash. The run around Ive get from this organization is horrendous. I advise all to avoid this company at all costs.I plan on leaving this company asap. The only thing left I can do is to write the company about their deplorable actions. And to give Aetna one star on every review I can fine. PS To Aetna, I dare you to call me to resolve my concerns, you have all my contact info.
Called five times to check on a benefit I couldnt find info on on their website. each time I reached the department, I reached someone who was on mute. dead silence until I said that I knew they were there and that they had me on mute, then the call would disconnect.
My adult son is a tyoen1 diabetic and Aetna has kept him waiting for insulin, test strips and pump.supplies. After a month delay he was told they have until February 16 to make a decision on the scripts his doctor wrote. Well the 16th came and went and now they have sent more paperwork that must be filled out and returned before they will decide.. All of these things he needs to survive! Its constant red tape followed by more red tape. His doctors office said they have NEVER had this kind of problem with other companies. We are mailing a letter to the Kentucky Department of Insurance tomorrow and I suggest you all do the same! They are messing with peoples lives!
They change policies yet NEVER inform clients. As we are currently stuck with this useless company after the following recent events we are now campaigning on a national level to hold this company accountable for its unethical behavior and lack of coverage for more than 79% of its customer base.In following their set guidelines concerning OUR health we seek like most to stay in network, however the recent events show this makes no difference.Going to one of Kentuckys largest IN NETWORK hospitals recently revealed that just because we did the right thing certainly didnt mean Aetna would. The physicians who treated us in the hospital are cited as OUT of network therefore Aetna and their get out of pay plan begins. In the past 3 years, weve been denied like many others MRIs cat scans and other extremely important tests, due to Aetna sending our PRIVATE INFORMATION to third parties to decide NONE ARE MEDICALLY TRAINED btw, if we need such test. Now, here we are again with outrageous bills, due to Aetna and their multiple 3rd party affiliates.NEW PLAN -Your not told anything about these practices until after the fact. You receive a bill and then a letter from some company youve never heard of, telling you they negotiate on your behalf.NEGOTIATE WHAT?!?These companies are to get $$$ adjustments for you after you find out....Oh, not in network. The issue is they DONT!Enter the pathetic Aetna, calling them will accomplish as much as telling a teen dont text. They will toss you back and forth to avoid doing what WE PAY THEM FOR and all the negotiations land on US the patients. As this problem now has reached fever pitch we are simply done with this fraudulent process.I have reached out to friends in the legal profession and learned, most of these practices are considered unethical and likely unlawful.IF your paying for any insurance company to cover you, this means EVERYTHING, including doing their job of providing, calling, mediating ect. The biggest catch here is that Aetna has released ALL our private information to multiple 3rd parties without our consent or knowledge leaving us all at risk in this new identity theft world we now reside in.If your having issues like these and more, first contact them, file a complaint (YES I know, pointless) but this covers us. When they do nothing and, they wont, you can look at other measures of action. In our case, it was after learning someone was native American and they checked that oh so important box to tell....what race/culture are you. AFTER that every test EVERY claim has either been denied, stalled or simply ignored by the 3rd party redrick.Advice- Do NOT simply accept this behavior as like us WE ste paying to be covered. We have had it, and once enough people say, no more....Aetna will either change to conform to the law and expectations of its customers or they will fold like a $2 chair!
Worst and unprofessional staffs never ever gonna choose the aetna in my life!
I am a diabetic who chose Aetna. They have kept me waiting for insulin for other a month now and have been hospitalized twice. They say it could take another 30 days before I receive my medical supplies.
