Nice place for a single guys, that just wanna work out with no BS. It’s not for families in my opinion, other then that just pay cash and get your workouts in. The end. Thanks Fred !
From reading the reviews, I believe most of the good reviews are fakes either friends, family or employees of the owner. Would only use cash if you do decide to try it out if possible.
I wanted to check out this gym after hearing good reviews about it being affordable however after inspecting the whole gym to make a decision & realizing it wasn’t worth the cost; as the prices have gone up then and most of the equipment there were outdated...Fred who seemed really nice to me in the beginning turned into the complete opposite after finding out I didnt want to join his gym but instead would rather pay for his training program that he refused to show me unless I joined. After some arguing explaining why I didn’t want to join it was then when he became very rude to both my brother & I. Never again will I set foot in that gym.
Has plenty of weights to do all your major lifts and a good atmosphere. However, there was no pride or professionalism in this gym. They had one towel to wipe down equipment, cob webs everywhere, wire for the aerobic equipment were spliced together with duct tape. And some of the Olympic bars were welded together.
This gym is awful. The owner Fred is a crook and will steal your money. Do NOT give him your credit card number. Not only did he auto renew my membership even though in the contract I had declined auto-renewal, he double charged me and blamed his bank and refused to refund any money. PATHETIC.
Shady business practice. Owner refused to give a refund, and I have to just give up $110 for a membership that I dont want to use.On September 9, 2014 I signed a six-month contract, which ended on February 28, 2015. Then, on August 31, 2015 my bank account was debited $110 for the contract renewal. I tried calling Super Fitness fifteen times on 8/31/15 to request a refund. I left three voice messages and never got a call back. On 9/1/2015 I drove to the gym and spoke with the owner, Fred M., and he said that the contract was probably on automatic renewal and needed to get a copy of the contract from his bank, which handled the renewals. He said would have an answer on Thursday, 9/3/2015. I called that day, and he said the mail hadnt arrived, which would have contained a copy of the contract, and to call back on Friday 9/4/2015. I called back that day, no answer. So, I drove up to the gym again, only to have Fred M. say that I chose to have the contract automatically renew because I put my initials in the renewal section. Mind you, the renewal section only states this contract MAY renew. Not that it will renew. As in, it is optional, if so desired. Furthermore, in the renewal section, it states “you may renew this membership annually for $100 per year, with six months written out to the side. On the third option: “Or, this membership will automatically be renewed for ______ per month by Electronic Funds Transfer unless we are notified 30 days prior to expiration,” nothing was selected. The funds for the automatic contract renewal were taken out of my bank account on August 31st. This is ten (10) days prior to the actual renewal date of the contract. Nowhere in the contract does it state that a cancellation request must be made within a certain time period to ensure that it does not automatically renew.Given this information, I should have been allowed a refund by giving ten days notice to request a refund, and cancel the contract. However, Fred M. stated that he could not do anything, as it would be illegal to change a written contract. He then kept pushing me to come back to his gym, and to try and cancel my membership with the gym I started going to after my contract ended in February 2015. Stating couldnt you just cancel your contract with that gym and come here for six months? The owner of Super Fitness, who I once had a contract with, cant authorize a refund at a customers request to cancel a contract? How is this possible? Its his contract. He is the holder, and he cant rescind the contract at the customers request? I find that absurd. He thinks I can cancel a contract with my current gym, but he wont let me cancel a contract with him? When I asked him, why would I wish to automatically renew a contract that only last six months? That would be six months of not using his gym. He stated that he didnt know, he doesnt dig in to peoples personal business.Pathetic business practices.
Just like all the rest fred calls me and text me daily auto renewed my membership without my authorization i moved away from here 8 months ago and he wont refund my money fred very shady i liked the gym but recommend not giving fred your phone number address or credit card he will harrass you and take your money
Owner was great had plenty of weights and machines to help reach your fitness goals
I would never recommend anyone to join this gym due to the business owner is very rude and very unprofessional he would call old members and harass them everyday begging them to come back and join the gym and would leave several voicemails begging them to come back it was very overwhelming...The gym is very dirty and unsanitary and smells like an old basement alot of members do not wipe off the equipment when theyre done so when its your turn to get on the equipment its leftsweaty and sticky the equipment is very old and looks unsafe..The water fountain is very unclean and looks unhealthy to drink out of they also have a water dispenser that sometimes have roaches crawling around it.. I also saw a few small children walking around the gym and even one attempted to lift weights which I think is very unsafe.. There were times in the summer the AC didnt work and it was very hot to the point where if you were on a treadmill or doing cardio it felt like you were going to pass out, also there is this dust that sometimes fall from the ceiling and made my skin itchy i would never ever in my life step foot in that gym ever again
If you give him your credit card number, he will take your money every time. He is a fraud! I have heard this same thing from countless number of people that he is a fraud. He will never ever give back your money. He makes unauthorized payments. Dont go to this place. Trust me, he is a FRAUD.
Fred is a crook who will still your money. Slips in the auto renew on you and refuses to refund your money. Not to mention $80 cancelation fee! Do not go here.
After visiting the gym a few years ago we decided to not go to the gym and go to another gym. The owner Fred call my father for months harassing us even after we said we were not coming and now reading these reviews I am glad we didnt
Dont judge this place from the street. The inside is larger than you would expect, and its filled with all the workout gear you will ever need.
Excellent attention and the place has excellent benefits
